Last night I had a nightmare about a long creature coming in through my open door so I lay awake all night just to hope it didn't, so I drew this. This is what it looked like.

I feel like the biggest issue with transferring fantasy to a live action movie is that the redesigns focus too much on realism in context to our world. If that makes any sense. A fantasy creature from a world different from ours wouldn't follow the exact same laws our animals do.

Like in Avatar. The alien monsters are well, alien. But it is an alien world, by all intents and purposes, they are 'realistic.' I guess I should trade the word 'realistic' for 'believable' instead. They fit in with the world around them, they make logical sense in the world that you are presented with.

All of this to say uh. Be silly. Be goofy. Exaggerate those shapes and ecology!!!
