thinking about louis as lesmand's second shared inpatient/both of their redemptions for nicki. lestat brought nicki into the vampirism that would eventually drive him to suicide but armand forced him into that world through the kidnapping. lestat broke nicki down but armand’s torture was the straw that broke the camel’s back. they have a shared responsibility in his death + not being able to protect him (*cough cough* from himself). enter louis: the second love of lestat’s life who he spends over three decades trying to break from his suicidal ideation because the idea of repeating the same mistake he did w/ nicki terrifies him. and when he throws louis from the sky and is banished, for good reason, he insists on returning over and over—obv because he’s controlling but probably also bc he wants to monitor him. did i once again hurt the one i love so much they’re going to die? because of me? and then louis “kills” him, abandons him as armand said his fledglings always would, and finds armand, and lestat once again “gives away” his lover to armand to become the caretaker of (cleaner of messes and etc) and louis tries to kill himself, in front of armand (as nicki killed himself in front of armand), bc armand once again went too far (in a scene where their shared obsession w lestat AND armand’s torture of nicki is brought up). and armand has failed these projects he’s been given by people he loves over and over (the palazzo boys, nicki, now louis) and he resolves himself to do Whatever He Needs To to guarantee louis’ survival—for himself and for the idealized romance he wants with louis and to prove himself to lestat in a really backwards way that doesn’t even include letting lestat know louis is still alive bc honestly why would he deserve that after making armand his good nurse 150 years later—including the maintenance of a decades long psychosexual gaslighting campaign. which surely will work this time.

it makes lestat’s “enjoy him” a bit stranger, doesn’t it? “i gave you to armand, you tell me if that was saving.” he’s completely conscious of who armand is and what he’s capable of and the pain he puts people through, and lets louis go with basically no resistance or warning. i maintain there was Something lestat knew about the trial, some sort of discussion he had w/ armand, that implied he really thought armand might actually protect the person he loved this time. the contact in 73 always struck me bc it sounds like there’s some sort of arrangement between old friends being discussed. oh season 3 you couldn’t come soon enough.

Characters as Pokémon

Some people in a Discord server were drawing characters as furries so I decided to join. There was also someone streaming their gameplay of Simanimals + Africa and kept running into animals that shared names with MySims characters so I drew some characters as animals

Bobaboo as a Coahuilaceratops in Beasts of Bermuda and Cassandra in Pony Town (I don't really play Pony Town but it's fun to make skins)
