I know that I'm anonymous for the request but I have some homophobic friends that are on here and I dont want them to know that it was me. :( I have a specific headcanon request since I came out today! Could you please write me a how Luigi, Flynn Rider, Nick Wilde, and Prince Naveen would react to you coming out as bi? Thank you in advance!

Special request that I got asked to do by someone. I know things are hard now, but trust me they won't always be and soon you'll find amazing people who support and love you for who you are! For now, hopefully this brings you a little joy! Wanted to get this done for pride month.

Luigi

Luigi doesn't have a mean bone in his body, if you came to him and confessed you were bisexual he'd be overjoyed he was the first one you told

And he'd do all the research he could, he's on the job don't worry

He will absolutely be your number one biggest fan, he is now an LGBT ally (he probably was one before but now doubly so), he is taking you to pride whether you like it or not

He would definitely help you plan out how to come out to other people in your life, yes it would be many steps, and yes he will support you the whole way

And he'd also support you in more subtle ways, like wearing pins or even just like comforting you if the whole sexuality thing is stressing you out

He is just really happy that you're choosing to be your authentic self

Flynn Rider

If this man isn't at least bisexual himself, he has good gaydar, so he might already have an inkling before you come to him

He's genuinely happy for you

Might make bi jokes, might ask you if you're into every person you pass on the street

He will try to turn this into a "so you're into me" thing, like it or not, he's going to assume you're into him (if you're not he will be very annoyed)

Will ask you dumb questions at all hours of the day, just to get a reaction

Probably has a little bi flag to wave around and annoy you

He is your biggest supporter though and he will gladly threaten anyone who doesn't respect your sexuality

Nick is the kind of guy who when you first tell him, he's already looking up pride events to go with you to

He knows what it's like to not feel like everyone else, to have something about you that you can't change that makes a lot of people iffy and he will spend a lot of time just reminding you that you're not valued any less because of your sexuality

He has so many bisexual stickers, pins, things just to show he supports you. Even has one for his police officer uniform.

Will play smash or pass with you if you ask him

I don't know why I just get the vibe that Nick like- buys pride stuff just because he thinks you'll like it. Every time he sees something bisexual or with the rainbow he's like "don't mind if I do."

Probably forgets you're bisexual every time you say you're into someone

He doesn't really get the idea at first, but his first reaction would definitely be "as long as you're happy that's all that matters".

Once he wraps his head around it though, he absolutely is a huge supporter

Definitely an ally, and has definitely learned some queer songs to play on his ukulele

He loves a big event so he will absolutely attend pride with you and he will bring his ukulele. And he'll joke about upstaging you at your own event (but you don't care as long as he's having fun!)

If someone maybe isn't supportive, he definitely gets very upset on your behalf but he will also comfort you very well.

He truly believes that everyone should be who they want to/are capable of being and he thinks you're very brave to be who you are

And you can't tell me he wouldn't buy you pride related things just to see you smile!

Music I think Roy Kent likes and why

Madonna. In season 3, episode 3, Roy said, "[Pre-Madonna] means before Madonna, female vocalists didn't have to work that hard." This implies a great respect for Madonna and her craft. Also, it's an example of a very specific kind of queer guy misogyny that I find very humorous and implicative (of him being queer).

The Sex Pistols (and other punk rock). Two of their songs are in the Ted Lasso soundtrack. One of them specifically plays when Roy is about to do some pundit work for the first time. I think it's meant to be his hype up music. They're also, of course, anti-fascist and anti-monarchy, which I think Roy would vibe with. He's giving punk.

The music of the Muppets. Canonically (not that I necessarily consider this kind of thing canon, lol) a Muppets fan, I think he'd love the soundtracks to the movies, as well as the numbers they do on the original show.

Rap; Salt-n-Pepa, Queen Latifah, and Beyoncé. I just think he would like them. In season 1, episode 6, Keeley mentions that he has rapped, implying at least some interest in the genre.

Leonard Cohen. I think Roy's Jewish, and he's a broody, sensual bitch. It adds up perfectly. Sidenote: while "She's a Rainbow" by the Rolling Stones was a great choice for the song he runs home to football to, I think Cohen's "Ain't No Cure for Love" would've fucking slayyyed..."I loved you for a long, long time / I know this love is real / It don't matter how it all went wrong / That don't change the way I feel / And I can't believe that time is gonna heal / This wound that I'm speaking of" "I've got you like a habit / And I'll never get enough" "I don't need to be forgiven / For loving you so much"

Klezmer. Again, if Roy is Jewish, and we know he loves and misses his grandad...it's simple. He HAS a record player and a dope sound system, and on his shelves there ARE old klezmer records that he remembers dancing around to with his grandad in their old flat.

Amy Winehouse. Again, if Roy is Jewish, and we know he is broody and bitchy, it is a given. "Rehab" is his anthem when his knee gets bad and he is reluctant to treat it.

Disco; Donna Summer and Jessie Ware. It's just great workout music, and it slays, and if he's queer, well, yes, of course he likes disco.

Pop rock; Elton John and Queen. If he's queer...it's a given. I think he particularly likes "I Think I'm Going to Kill Myself" and "Rocket Man", as he is suicidal (I can't find the interview where Goldstein said this) (it's just Word of God anyway), and the most rocket man motherfucker ever.

The music of the people he loves; Led Zeppelin, Cream, Tina Turner, and Stevie Nicks. Phoebe, Keeley, and Jamie like these musicians. He's a caring uncle, boyfriend, and friend. He is listening and learning. Also, I think Phoebe would be into some weird stuff, like outsider music - maybe some Tiny Tim. I think Roy would also enjoy the music of other friends, from plenty of other genres.

Okay so, hear me out:

I had this idea a bit ago that after the first movie and while Larry still worked at the museum, that Nick every so often would hang out there with him at night and the museum basically becomes a third home to him.

Fast forward a little bit and the Nick's made really good friends with all the exhibits because they would all love this kid to death and definitely wouldn't have a family dynamic anyway-

So then I got the idea the museum is where he spends a lot of free time, he'd start doing his homework there. Cut to his history homework and he literally can just get freaking TEDDY ROOSEVELT to help him when they get to the presidents.

So then it becomes like a whole thing that the museum helps Nick with his homework and whenever his class is learning about one of them or their time period, the exhibits get like really excited because these kids are learning about them.

Then, of course, because I love a certain couple of minis, I thought it'd be fun to draw them vibing with Nick while he reads a textbook or something.

The Ramoutar men were always meant for the sea. His father was a fisherman, like his own father before him and Damien always planned to join the family business. Whenever he could he'd find himself out on his father's boat learning the ropes and rigs. The long days at sea and unpredictability of nature however often left Damien's mother raising him and his baby brother alone. When Damien was six and a storm nearly capsized his father's boat, she had had enough. His parents divorced, his mother moving them to Hemlock Springs to be closer to her own family, finding the support she'd been lacking over the years.

To her surprise, his father had moved as well, leaving the family business to his brother and leaving the Caribbean to join them in Washington. He didn't quite leave the sea behind though and started working on a boat out of Seattle. Damien continued to join his father, splitting his time between his mother and father. Eventually his mother moved on, marrying his stepfather and Damien was glad to see his mother happy, despite the continued stress he brought her which each trip out to sea.

When he was 12, she'd implored him to stay behind, his half sister soon to be born but he insisted. He could never explain why but something had nudged him to go on that trip with his father. He never expected that it would be his last. The storm had come out of no where and his father was there one second, gone the next, swept out to sea. His grief was overwhelming and over the next few years as much as he loved his family, he struggled to find his place.

Joining the military out of high school among his band of brothers he couldn't help but feel something akin to the comradery he'd felt among the crew on his father's boat. After his initial term of deployment he continued to re-up, until he was at a decade in service. He had planned to re-up again when word came in from his mother, his sister had fallen in with the wrong crowd picking up bad habits and was now missing. He adored her, it didn't take him long to make his way home to help with the search. They'd found her thankfully and gotten her into a decent rehab and for the first time in a long time, Damien found a desire to stay, to be closer to family.

Discharging from the military and taking a few classes, he only made his mother one promise: not to be a fisherman. Instead he found his place as a Marine Technician and finally settled into Hemlock Springs, though he did get himself a nice houseboat in the marina and even has a sailboat in drydock. He hopes one day he'll be able to take his own kid sailing like his father had, if Aria allows atleast.

so i did the character questionnaire thing following wisteria-lodge's post for damien because I thought it would be fun and it was!!! love this guy he's got so many issues!! I encourage all damien brainwom sufferers to also do this and throw ur own hat into the ring!

anyways:

What is the character’s go-to drink order? black coffee, and damien likes to make it himself because the routine of it lets him pretend, at least for a few minutes, that he can be a person. he doesn't really care about blends or the roasts, usually just grabs whatever off the shelf; if the place he's staying at only had a kettle, he'll take instant coffee. (damien would never admit this on pain of death but: he has a massive sweet tooth too, and if he gets a barista to add whipped cream or cold foam to his coffee, then that's his business. and if u saw damien with a frappe, no you didn't.) he opts for black coffee because he thinks that's what he supposed to drink -- that's what his persona, crafted over years, is supposed to drink. he saw something on TV that said "adults drink black coffee."

What is their grooming routine? he has none lol. he has none. no one talked to him about it, no one told him about any of it. he cuts his own hair with a shitty pair of dollar store scissors when he feels like it because he can't stand the intimacy of a barber. he hacks at his hair in a shitty bathroom somewhere, and he showers with whatever soap set the hotel/motel provides.

What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go? uh.

Do they have any scars or tattoos? there's a very faded burn scar on his wrist from his first time cooking for himself, after his parents left. he learned how to properly handle a hot pan that day. he has a nick somewhere from the first few times he's had to shave, before he knew how to angle a razor. a little indent on his ear, minuscule really -- the first time he went to a barber and he just kept running his hands through his hair and damien wanted him to keep doing it because it felt good then freaked out about it and violently flinched away, making the barber nip him on accident.

What was the last time they cried, and under what circumstances? he does not cry easy, he hates crying. he thinks it's a sign of vulnerability, of humanity, and he is not human. robert was human, robert cried like a baby, and robert was thrown away, but. damien doesn't cry... mark left, though, and he closed the door behind him when he walked out and damien slid to the floor and.

Are they an oldest, middle, youngest or only child? only child.

Describe the shoes they’re wearing. fucking ratty, worn, filthy things because damien already has to wash his clothes in the laundry, why would he put in the effort of cleaning his shoes?? they're for the ground, they're meant to be dirty.

Describe the place where they sleep. wherever he can. his childhood bed in an empty, dark, silent house. during damien's first years out in the world, he would sleep in whatever car he was driving, and sometimes it was a luxury one with heated seats. then as he got more control, he slept in california kings in mansions and penthouses, bed and pillows so soft with down and silk that he could almost sink through them. as he got more experience along with that control, he usually went for understated but nice condos where he could convince the landlord that he'd already paid. blending in was safer. damien hates sleeping beside windows, the sun rays always woke him up too early no matter how tightly he closed the curtains and blinds.

What is their favorite holiday? he tells people it's halloween because he thinks that's what he's supposed to say; it fits with his vibe, his persona, right? but really, he feels detached from all holidays -- all the kids going out with their parents and groups of friends laughing together on the street. every holiday required someone else to celebrate with, and damien couldn't stand any of them. he hated christmas, out of all of the others. he liked fourth of july and new years, though; he would park his car on a high cliff and watch the fireworks, dazzled by the sky).

What objects do they always carry around with them? phone, but really, what would he need to? he has nothing. and can get anything. post-canon, damien gets a wallet, small and worn and ratty but it does its job.

🧸: I think Maru would have a pretty normal childhood. My headcanon is that one of his parents was a doctor/mechanic (The cars lore is really inconsistent if medical care providers are doctors or mechanics) and he spent a lot of time in their clinic/shop just watching them do their thing. Overtime, once he was old enough, he began to help them out and began to learn how to be a mechanic himself. Overtime, either out of boredom or actual interest, he taught himself to fix boats, planes and every other type of frame he could think of. By the time he was 18, he was just as skilled as others twice his age.

👻: Maru is terrified of failure. When you work a job where you are solely responsible for someone living or dying, messing up is a near paralyzing fear. In my headcanon, Maru was a mechanic on the set of CHoPs and a small, terrible part of him blames himself for Nick's death. He knows deep down that Nick was doomed the second he hit the ground, but there's still a small part of him that laments the fact that he might've been able to save him if he was only just a little faster, a little more prepared, a little more concentrated.

🎶: Maru enjoys country but isn't really picky. He likes to work with background noise, so he'll just listen to whatever Patch is playing over the speakers most of the time. If she isn't playing anything, he'll turn on an old radio he has and let the local stations play in the background.

👽: His weird quirk is that he sometimes sleepwalks (sleepdrives?). It's rare for him to do it now that he's an adult (I imagine it was much more common when he was a kid/teen), but when he does do it, he seems fully awake. The team has learnt ways to tell if he's awake and just a bit delirious or if he's fully dead to the world and actually sleepwalking. It was very funny the first time Dusty ran into a sleepwalking Maru after grabbing himself a midnight snack. Dusty didn't even realize Maru was sleepwalking until a very grumpy Windlifter, awoken by the noise, rolled out and shooed Maru back to his hangar.

🦾: I actually have 2 for this one! After a long career as a mechanic, Maru would probably have some chronic pain in his tines. Years of damage and abuse and the occasional self neglect have caused him to develop a consistent ache in his tines that can never be fully soothed. He has ways of taking the edge off, and it's by no means career ending, but it's still annoying. The other disability headcanon I have for Maru is that he has ADHD. This one is mostly vibes and projecting my own ADHD onto him, haha. His workspace is messy and he seems like he'd be the type to throw himself into a project for hours and hours, hyperfocusing on getting it done all in one sitting. The other PPAA members occasionally have to lure him out of his hangar for a break, otherwise he'd sit there for an entire day without eating or sleeping.

💔: Maru, Blade and Nick were VERY, VERY close. Maru, having taken formal training as a mechanic, (which I imagine is the cars universe equivalent of nursing school), has much better coping skills than Blade. (Aka he just compartmentalized to hell and back). However, questionable coping skills aside, he was never the same after Nick died. He has never admitted it to anyone but Blade, but every year, on the anniversary of Nick's death, he just lets himself break down. He'll avoid everyone all day and just let himself have a day to grieve someone he saw as one of his closest friends. The rest of the team has 0 idea why Maru suddenly locks himself in his hangar on that specific day and gets all sad, but they support him the best they can. The day after, they always do their best to make him feel loved and included, reminding him that their always there for him if he needs them.

🪢 (This emoji is broken on my computer, but I was able to figure it out on mobile): He is pretty close with his family. He does his best to visit on holidays and write them letters while he's on base. He loves his job as mechanic, but it does make him a bit sad that he has to spend so much time away from home because of it.

🔪: Maru is very scrappy. He may be small, but he has a variety of tools that would do just fine as weapons. He isn't the type to immediately jump into a fight, but if someone refuses to back down despite clear warning, then, well, it isn't his fault, is it? This is the reason he was NOT allowed to talk to Cad unsupervised. Cad was absolutely the type to say something shitty and then refuse to back down lest his poor ego be bruised. Blade, as much as he probably fantasized about it himself (and how Cad 100% deserved it), didn't want Maru to beat the shit out of the guy who controlled their budget.

💄: I like his canon vehicle design as is, so I'll give some humanized headcanons. I don't have a 100% solid idea of what he'd look like as a human, but I imagine he'd have a permanent stubble no matter how much he shaves and a very generic, short haircut. He is almost always wearing his baseball cap and the poor thing is probably FILTHY. His clothes in general are probably constantly caked in grease and whatever else has collected on the floor of his hangar. His usual attire would be a blue PPAA jumpsuit with a toolbelt looped through the belt loops. He's almost one of the shortest members of the crew (maybe only taller then a couple of the smokejumpers) and has a very rectangular body type.

😺: He doesn't mind animals, but he also isn't a massive fan of them. He finds the deere at the park nice at least, but other then that, he is very neutral on all of the wildlife.

😭: I know this one is already been apart of some other headcanons, but Nick's death by far. The members of the PPAA team who've died and had their pictures put on The Wall are also pretty traumatic, but Nick was the one he was the closest with. It especially hurt because of how it devastated Blade, Nick's death a very major part as to why Blade acts the way he acts. When Nick died, Maru not only had to piece himself back together, but he also tried his best to help Blade not emotionally implode on himself.

hi hello me again i finished s2 of nancy drew last night and it was SO GOOD. the arc of it was really well done and i loved all the single-episode stories that built up to the wraith. the crew becoming closer and more complex, the dads, nancy struggling with her sense of self and belonging, the world building, all of it. (nancy is my best girl and i love her so much)

absolutely obsessed with the drew crew dynamic. no bad pairings, the balance of their personalities and skills, all of it. every time nancy, bess and george are together i am happy. they really are a family and they take care of each other. i am so seated to learn more about the road back and for whatever bullshit temperance is up to with them !!!

still loving the nace slow burn!! this season really builds on what s1 started and it was so angsty and jealous. obviously gil is terrible (i cheered when she broke up with him) but i’m pleasantly surprised by amanda. the fact that she asked if ace and nancy were ever together after she saw them crack a safe together???? she would not survive seeing them just exist around each other like they usually do sorry girly :/

favorite episode is by FAR 2x10. i’m writing down favorite moments as i watch and the entry for that episode is double the length of the rest lol. other best moments:

With the road back, I will warn you (😭😭) it's as of now not going to be brought up again. Long story short, trb was the big bad of Tom Swift, which was canceled one season in. The writers said though they imagined an episode where Nancy and Tamura would show up and they'd wrap up everything with Celia.

Gil is the worst! I like Amanda too. And really, as bad as Gil is - I don't mind him as a character. In some other world I like to imagine there was a Bobbsey spinoff and he'd have a chance at some deep character development. Lol and the SAFE SCENE!?!? "No vibe just friends," Ace says, lying.

2x10 - ICONIC.. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY!

I loveeeee the end of 2x03 so much. It's so sad and beautiful and I cry every time.

I LOVE 2x06!!!!! Easily one of my favorite episodes of the whole show. If you didn't know, if not for covid 2x05 would have been the end of s1. But they made 1x18 the finale when they had to stop filming. So that's why 2x06 has a premiere feel to it!

The 2x11 attempts montage is so well done. What an all around fantastic episode too. A great one for Nick and for Tunji to show off his acting.

The 2x13 scene with Birdie.. so so good. Perhaps a theme here but that also makes me cry. I always imagine the idea behind that scene as a possible end to the show too. Nancy watching the fireworks with the rest of the drew crew would bring things really full circle.

2x16 is devastating!! Ugh I still remember watching it for the first time and the shock of it. And Nancy crying because she doesn't want Celia to go.

Gosh the entirety of 2x18 is ART. All the detail put into the dreamscape, the drew crew helping Nancy through it, the nace scene at the bluffs!!! What more could you ask for.

Nace in s2.. will always be so famous. They're just walking the line of friends to something more and as far as slowburns go that's one of the best parts.

It took me a sec to respond to this so you might have already started s3..!? I hope you enjoy!!! If I'm being honest it's my least favorite season overall. However, it has some of my favorite episodes of the whole show. So it does balance out.

Grey's Anatomy: Ready to Run (19x18)

Man, that patient death got to me.

Cons:

The ADHD plot thread still seems pretty weak to me, very after-school special in the way it's being handled. I just wish there had been a more organic, less textbook path for Lucas to learn this about himself. Nick coming up to him after a patient has died to be like "because of your ADHD, you're going to feel this loss really hard" just felt like the epitome of inappropriate to me. Maybe I'm being sensitive because I would personally hate someone being so presumptuous with me about my mental health. I think Grey's is so great at raising awareness for all sorts of topics, and it's cool to have two main characters on the show with ADHD who can represent that perspective. Conceptually, I'm all for this. I just think the execution is very weak and feels very... rote, and unmotivated. Nick is still super boring so I don't care about his and Lucas's burgeoning mentor/mentee connection.

I actually think Jo and the patient with all the broken bones have cute vibes, and I thought it was interesting that she felt the need to confirm that Link was her "roommate" there at the end. But... I still find the Link/Jo romance plot just kind of tedious all around. I'm not looking forward to him being weird and jealous and hurting Jo's feelings, etc. It's already annoying to me.

And another note on Nick: his hemming and hawing about the Fox Award nomination just makes him more irritating to me. I can't believe we're going to get Meredith back for an episode and it's going to be all about Nick's hurt feelings. Yeesh. Get it together, Nick.

Pros:

Ray's death hit hard. Despite not really connecting with the way they're doing the ADHD plot line, I did think Lucas had a strong week. He convinces a patient to get a surgery that might save his life, only for Ray to die of a ruptured aorta at the hospital. Ray was going to die either way, but the fact that they came so close to being able to help him only to lose him made his death all the more tragic. He had a feeling that he'd die before the age of thirty. Some part of him knew it. It was moving to see Lucas connect with this patient and really hear him about his concerns and his family and all the things he wanted to live for, and then convince him ultimately to get the surgery, which just made it all the more devastating that things didn't work out, and he had to make a tragic phone call to Ray's mother.

Also... he confesses his love to Simone! Gasp! It looks like she's still going through with the wedding, but we'll have to see if she backs out at the last second in true Grey's wedding drama fashion.

Meanwhile, Jules's roommate Max has continuing medical complications as, even as she's getting treatment for her UTI, she suddenly loses her balance and hits her head, causing a brain bleed. Poor Jules is trying to stay on her case, but Bailey puts her foot down as it becomes clear that Jules considers Max family. I like seeing Blue's feelings of tenderness and care for Jules grow, through watching her go through this difficult personal time. I root for them as a couple in the long run, as it seems that Blue is really willing to put in the work to be there for her. I also find Max's bond with Jules to be so sweet! She talks about how her own son is independent and lives far away, and he doesn't really need her anymore. Jules does, though. She needs the mothering and gentleness she didn't have as a kid.

Yasuda's plot thread is about screwing up her courage and making the first move on someone. Her friends tease her about being single after she says that she doesn't like to put herself out there in case of rejection, but eventually, after watching a patient shoot his shot with Jo, she decides to be brave. She goes up to Helm and asks her on a date to Simone's wedding.

But meanwhile, some more good news... Helm is officially coming back to the hospital, as co-chief-resident with Schmitt! Yay! I love what they did with this whole Helm plot thread, how they really stretched it out and took seriously the issues with the residency program and burnout and financial difficulties and all that. I loved that Helm broke the news that she'd gotten promoted to Schmitt's level, and Levi was nothing but excited about it. He rushes around the bar to scoop Helm up in a big hug, and I absolutely loved to see that.

It does cause issues for the Yasuda situation, as Helm is about to become her boss. But, as Helm points out, the wedding technically comes before Helm starts back up at work, so... looks like these two ladies are going on a date! I got an honest giddy smile on my face at this whole scene between them. Yasuda being so brave, and Helm being so quietly pleased. Who knows what the future holds, but I love the idea of these two getting to carve out some happiness for themselves in their busy lives!

And a couple small things: Teddy continues her streak of not pissing me off; maybe being Chief was what she needed all along. Her devastation at the loss of her patient was really moving to me. I like the quiet, efficient way she mentors the residents, too. She's got a lot on her plate but she still takes time to compliment Lucas on his nice work in convincing Ray to get the surgery. Richard is excited about the Catherine Fox award nominations, and frustrated that Nick doesn't want to go to the ceremony, explaining how much it means for the program, and for his wife. Winston is also having mixed feelings because it means sharing the award and the spotlight with Maggie. I'm kind of not interested in Nick and Winston angsting about their failed relationships, but I am sort of excited to see the Catherine Fox award ceremony. (Bailey griping about all her insane medical innovations not getting a nomination was pretty funny. It does seem rather arbitrary.)

And that's that! I can't believe we're already at finale time. I'm having a good time with the new intern characters, they really added new life into the show. I'm excited to continue on with them!

We'd probably fail because I couldn't learn it in five years so yeah. But I like listening to him talking in German. Plus I wanna rock the big-ass trident on my back and have a gay car (RIP 2023 Maserati Typo Folgore 🏳‍🌈, you'll always be missed). Even though I said we would sit next to each other and not talk, I think we could have some nice conversations if we wanted. ❤

YEEEEP. I love this series, but it is a CHRONIC offender at silly stuff like this. To each their own, but Ada and Leon's relationship has this vibe and I don't get it.

I do think their redemption coming from witnessing the real-world consequences of their actions makes more sense here. Plus, if Jen was caught under Umbrella's boot, it would only serve as further inspo. Let's face it, I wouldn't put it past Scrooge's father to owe a debt ... and instead of money, they take her instead. She had her son, now she's spent.

What if pregnancy was never what killed Jen? What if it was Umbrella's pharmaceuticals, or worse? What if her body is also writhing in their labs? Now that would cause them to spiral.

The real-world consequences also force a little bit of tension between the couples that doesn't exist in the other versions, at least not to this extent. Bess is QUITE justified in being angry at him for a while. While recognizing he's not directly at fault (not in the way people like Wesker or Mother Miranda are, at least) she is more than allowed to scorn him. He welcomes it, in fact. He hopes it will dull the growing tenderness he feels for her.

The real pang comes when she leaves with Bryant. It hurts him far more than he ever thought.

... Until Bryant leverages his power and thinks that Bess might be the perfect little opportunity to make some progress in Umbrella. She'd be a great scapegoat for some research and experimentation.

Wolf rushes to her aid, and like always across these universes, he's the one waiting for her to awaken. ;;

They finally have the chance to share a heated kiss and just recognize their emotions. He curses his involvement in Umbrella at all, but the silver lining is that it at least brought them together.

And together, perhaps, they can help stop all this better than they ever could apart.

Meanwhile, for Connie and Adonis, Connie is less outwardly angry and more ... stoic. Extremely quiet. She can speak and live normally, but living in a horrible marriage for 20 years, realizing your husband was sinking money into a bioweapons company, becoming infected undead and cured just in the nick of time (which would have also happened to TeTe, by the way). All her reactions, even with the girls, seem awkwardly forced at first. Like she's always acting.

Through forced proximity, she gets more and more comfortable around Adonis. He's awkward and shy and ... doesn't seem like the type to invest in bioterrorism. She soon learns that is because he is not.

"I'm not making excuses," he'd say. "Whatever the punishment is for my oversight, I shall accept it."

He's different from her husband, who knew where his money was going and just continued to invest.

"You're not the only one," she'd say. "My husband invested too. By proxy ... I'm guilty of the exact same crime."

"Yet he left you and your mother to die while he fled. For him to sink money into all this knowingly is horrifying, but for him to leave everyone behind ... to leave you?"

"It is a handy way to handle witnesses, I suppose," she says.

"You and your husband are not the same, Ms. Constance."

" ... Thank you. And you are not the same as him either, Mr. Scrooge."

Many Resident Evil games/installments (with exceptions, like 4 and 8) take place mostly in the U.S., so I mostly think of our ladies coping.

Geographically, Bess would by fleeing the T-virus. (Tyrant Virus). It's the zombie-cannibal one. The virus the series is known for, haha. I'm sorry Bess. She's be escaping her city, because the solution to the virus is just nuking everything. Which is why she get's paired up with people like Jill and Carlos in the Raccoon City area, which is mid-America. (There are lots of theories on where it is, but generally Ohio-Indiana-Illinois-Missouri is the vibe.) T-virus zombies are cannibalistic and scary in hoards. Plus, the virus is fatal, and spreads WAAAY faster than A-Virus.

Connie would be fleeing the A-virus (Animality Virus). It started in Manhattan and as spread through drinking water, with a whole lot of backstory, haha. Basically, it was a cult bioterrorist attack. The city is infected but cured (in RE: Vendetta). With her money, she's probably flown out of the city, so she'd likely be coping with the crazed cult people spreading viruses more so than the zombies. We all know Orin was probably dumb enough to invest in industries that would put targets on their head. A-Virus zombies are T-virus zombies, but ... slightly smarter? They can talk and taunt before they eat you, lmao. It doesn't spread as bad as T-Virus, but the zombies are cognizant and more human. It can be cured too.

There's also the Mold, but that's Eastern European-originating (sorry Magda) that makes it to Louisiana. The Las Plagas in Spain, Uroboros in Kijuju, West Africa, etc. Fun all over the globe, just with different variants.

this is inspired by what this post evolved into, a few earlier conversations with @nickalicious (you fuel all my jatp crack, bro <3), and the fact that my tumblr reblogs are taking a time out for some reason.

so, fun uncle caleb, with nick:

- sure, he got nicks vocal chords to be able to hit even the highest notes, and also a (female) leading role in the schools choice of musical, but nick still hasn't had official vocal training after calebs left his body, the kid knows nothing about even basic vocal warmups.

- caleb, of course, knows his new bff nick could get too excited with his newfound range and strain/lose his voice before he gets the chance to even perform, so he gives him vocal training, of course.

- and makeup lessons, caleb may have told the costume team after he'd gotten the role that he'd take care of his own stage makeup and... attire (because he hadn't wanted anyone to touch this-body-that-wasn't-actually-his, having spoken to nick in his own head, it still felt weird), so now nick has to learn how to blend like a fucking pro and work with distractions like costume and wig adjustments from others at the same time

- with a few other impromptu lessons slipped in, cause honestly, who's to fault him if he just really wants nick to dance to one of his club songs with him?? he's really proud of the other side of hollywood, and knows nick would love to dance to it if he ever just got over his fear of looking entirely uncoordinated in front of him, no matter how many times caleb directly tries to reassure him.

- so he's sneaky. well, he thinks he is. he makes sure to bring nick over to watch some of his performances, so he'll inadvertently learn the choreo, makes sure nick can see him do the final checks before a show, so he knows what vibes he should be giving off on stage, subtle things. things that nick picks up and slowly steps into like caleb had hoped he would, things that help make his performance in the musical that much better, and really, caleb knew nick didn't mind being cast for the female lead, but it still shocks him when nick finds him backstage on their final night and hugs and thanks him for showing him how to step out of his comfort zone.

- but he still looks down at him with a proud smile, doesn't falter (he swears, he doesn't) and reminds nick that he's proud of him, and oh, you've already got 2 dad's, what would you say to another father figure, nicky boy??, jokingly, as if he's terrified that now nicks done with the musical and no longer needs his help he'll wash his hands of the weird 1920s ghost that possessed him months ago, because even though he sees nick as his adoptive nephew (really, he would have filled out the paperwork in a heartbeat... forgetting that he doesn't have access to that) the same may not ring true for nicks view of him

- but then nick chuckles as he draws back from the hug, and asks if that means he should call him "uncle caleb" now, and caleb really fucking loves his kid so he just beams and pulls out the phone nick got him earlier, ready to show him all the embarrassing pictures he has of nick in costume, and nick groans and cries "betrayal!", and they exit the school in a comfortable silence, and caleb feels warm and at home

okay but consider: caleb redemption arc where he becomes their awkward but fun uncle figure
