Albus Potter eventually discovers that he's surprisingly good at Muggle subjects, despite being terrible at magic. After leaving Hogwarts and finding no interest in any part of the wizarding world, one of his Muggle friends convinces him to apply to a few universities and helps him with the process. He does incredibly well and gets accepted into several, not just in the UK. It would be fun if he decided to study in another country, as far away from his father as possible.

Hello Pearl! I have been rereading all of your stories, so I agree with you that you are all fantastic. Albus' fic sounds great!! The truth is that I have no preference, I am delighted to read whatever you feel like writing.

Teddy disappeared in the winter. Just off the grid, the whole family in a tizzy, one letter left with his grandma and nothing else. Lily could still remember the terror on her father's face, the deep unsettlement of thinking he had fucked up the one thing that Remus and Tonks had given him to do.

She found him in the summer, hip-deep in booze, pasta, and beautiful girls in Vienna. Just for that look on her father's face, she punched him in the balls.

"What the fuck, Lily?" he groaned, once he had his voice back.

"You," she informed him, "are a grade-A motherfucking dick."

His hair flashed a stormy, upset black. "For what? Getting my heart broken?"

"Everyone's got broken hearts, asshole," Lily said. "Choose better coping mechanisms."

She made him take her home after that - 'home' being a shitty little AirBnB he had been renting from an oblivious muggle for months now, then take her grocery shopping so she could stock his fridge with something other than energy drinks and protein bars. Teddy protested at the amount of vegetables she dumped in his vegetable drawer - which she had to inform him was named so for a reason - but he gave up the ghost after she meticulously poured the last of his energy drinks down the sink drain to shut him up.

"You're coming back in the fall," Lily told him.

"Victoire will be there," Teddy muttered, swirling a spoon around the coffee she'd forced him to learn to make in the unused Keurig in his kitchen. It tasted atrocious, but she didn't care.

"Fuck Victoire," she said emphatically. "And fuck you too. Your romance problems should not affect the entire family. So suck it up and come home."

Teddy made a face at her, but he did, of course. Of course he did.

To participate you need to fill out basic info like your username and email address. We will ask you for 2-5 pairings you want in your gift and if you want podfic, art, and/or fic. You’ll list likes, squicks and maybe ideas for prompts. All ships (or no ship at all) are welcome!

Then you will be matched you together based on your preferences, and it will be anonymous. If for some reason your match doesn’t work for you, you can contact us to switch it up. Please note that it won’t be perfect, but we will do all we can to make it a good time!

We will create an AO3 collection where you will submit your creation anonymously and we will have instructions for how to do this.

We will space out posting works. How many works a day gets posted depends on participation. There will be a reveal at the end!

Rules

Must heavily feature Harry Potter AND Star Wars fandom. Any time period or characters allowed. Can be HP in SW universe, SW in HP universe, or a combination.

Any word length, format or genre allowed. Rating up to M. Dark themes restricted, but usually allowed on up to M. If in doubt, ask.

Dark topics allowed in M capacity. They can be discussed but not getting to Explicit material in either sexual or violence topics. Purpose is to focus on the merging of lore and characters.

What counts as Star Wars crossover?

Almost anything, as long both fandoms are heavily involved. Including, but not limited to:

Harry and friends going to space!

Luke and friends studying at Hogwarts!

Characters from both worlds colliding!

Specific magic systems implemented in the other fandom

Heavy references to one fandom as being "fiction" in the other fandom, as long as both are heavily referenced

Different time periods and media… Hogwarts Founders, Old Republic, Marauders, Prequels (or yes, even sequels), Next Gen (or yes, even the fanfic known as Cursed Child). Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandalorian, EU novels allowed too! (and yes, even holiday specials).

Attention pub patrons, Madam Rosmerta is utterly delighted to announce The Three Broomsticks Pride Fest! This fest is all about celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, and we welcome any writers old and new to join in the fun! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

But Rosmerta, how do you write canon-compliant fics about LBGTQ+ characters when there’s no explicit representation of that community in the books?

I’m glad you asked! TTB is a canon-compliant Discord server and therefore hosts canon-compliant fests; however, that’s not meant to be restrictive. Just because a character is not stated to be gay or asexual or nonbinary doesn’t mean they’re not! All that canon-compliance means at TTB is that the fic doesn’t alter canon events, including endgame pairings mentioned in the epilogue.

Here are some examples of LGBTQ+ characterisations and ships that would be considered canon-compliant by TTB definition (these aren’t prompts or an exhaustive list by any means, just some examples):

Harry, Ginny, Hermione, or Ron discovering bisexuality later in life (men and women being married isn’t inherently heterosexual, afterall)

A next gen character being trans or nonbinary

Asexual Charlie Weasley

Same-sex ships that don’t alter endgame couples; there are too many to list, but here’s a few: Dean/Seamus, Minerva/Poppy, Sirius/Remus, Lavender/Parvati, Katie/Alicia, Albus/Scorpius

Harry and Hermione having a conversation/realisation about Grindeldore

Everyone has their own slightly different definitions of canon-compliancy, so if you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to send us an ask or reach out to any mod. We also encourage you to join our Discord server (click here to join), which is active during and between fests with mini-events, writing chats, an HP book club, and general shenanigans.

Fest submissions will be due in late May and posting will begin on June 1st (see important dates below for more details).

What counts as canon-compliant?

Canon-compliancy has a broad scope and we’re not here to gatekeep! For the purposes of this fest, we consider the Harry Potter books 1-7 as canon and the “end game” pairings. The rest is up to you - for example, if you wish to write a post-Hogwarts story, you do not have to take Cursed Child or post-Potter interview information as canon if you don’t want to, but you should follow the pairings established in the epilogue.

Can I submit a multi-chapter?

You can absolutely submit the start of a new multi-chapter; however, you cannot submit a new chapter from an already published WIP.

Once Upon a Time - HP Rec Fest 2024

Gen - Dudley. Rated: G. Words: 1,200. Trans Femme Dudley, Harry Potter, Cousins, Transgender, Post-Canon,

Day 26 Prompt: a fic under 5k In which Dudley discovers who she really is. Warm, good feels all around. I wish I could give justice to this fic with an amazingly worded review but, all I can manage with my exhausted brain is to yell READ IT.

The writing is so tight and impactful. The character portrayal of Dudley is just chef’s kiss. It’s such a heartfelt 1,200 words. Excerpt (the first two paragraphs):

Dudley's got five suits in the closet, one for each day of the week, and three chins like a ladder up from necktie to scowl, and a solid German car for driving to the corporate headquarters of Consolidated Demolitions, Ltd., every morning at half past seven. Dudley sits with thighs pushing knees wide apart, and drips sweat climbing the stairs, and when the receptionist snipes under her breath it's not like you can eat yourself happy Dudley throws such a wobbler that the next day she applies for a transfer to the department of breaking big things into little things with hammers. She starts Dudley thinking about happiness, though, which leads to thinking about unhappiness. Once upon a time, Dudley had the pleasures of life sucked out by an invisible creeping horror. Knowing that evil really existed, waiting just around the corner from normal life, made it hard to go back to school. After that, Dudley was afraid of being put in the cupboard under the stairs, afraid of dirty old clothes and sharp words and birthdays with no presents or cake, of being laughed at by friends. It's an unpleasant shock to trace the roots of those fears down into the childhood certainty that if ever Dudley were a freak like Harry, there'd be no more love, ever.

A Character from your Era And if you chose to add a Chaos Roll, one of the following- 3. Weekly Roundup 9th June - 30th June

So, im a little behind with weekly round up as im sure you can see. A broken wrist and RL really has been kicking my arse. Thankfully my wrist ismuch better and Rl seems to have calmsed down somewhat so im back. Between the 9-30th June I uploaded 19,849 words (thats not all I wrote but I didnt keep track lol) and as always I will put 6 recs and mine under the read more.

So, as always, recs first: The Best of You and Me - giddytf2 - The Witcher (Geralt/Jaskier, I love it hwen they are both idiots tbh)

Summary: In which Jaskier discovers that he's mysteriously pregnant but wants the baby, Geralt finally learns to use his words after twenty years, Yennefer is so done with two idiots in love and their communication problems, and Ciri gains a new family.

A Dream or Something More - amloveabledeathmo - The Hobbit (Jackson Movies)(Bilbo/Thorin, Quest retelling, The Rivendell scene is just so precious)

Summary: Bilbo gets a second chance, but how long is it before he realizes it. He does things to make himself happy and treats the dwarves like the lovely family they are. Also setting Bilbo a bit younger here not middle aged but about 40ish so like 10 or so years earlier to give him more time with his dwarves.

Summary: What if Frodo Baggins visited Erebor ten years after Bilbo returned to the Shire, and met with Thorin Oakenshield.

White lies - ylc - The Witcher (TV) (Geralt/Jaskier, Fake/pretend relationships are just so much fun) Summary: In Jaskier’s defense, he hadn’t actually believed Geralt would come looking for him eventually, so he figured that telling his mother that the Witcher was the father of the child he was carrying would be a completely harmless lie. And then of course Geralt had walked back into his life and things got… complicated.

Moonlight Feathers - Akikofuma - Wiedźmin | The Witcher (Geralt/Jaskier, both are griffins and its so bloody cute)

Summary: Due to his coloring, Geralt will never have a family of his own, he's sure of it; until he meets Jaskier.

Learning how to be free - tashaxxxxxx - Wiedźmin | The Witcher (Geralt/Jaskier, A/b/o, please mind the tags but this is so beautifully done)

Summary: Jaskier is a badly beaten omega belonging to King Vizimir with little hope for the future. He had even less hope when he’s told he’s going to be given away to the Witchers, bloodthirsty beasts, as assurance that Redania will keep to the peace treaty.

Jaskier has little hope of surviving the next few days, let alone of finding freedom and love.

Ereborian Pride (Bilbo/Thorin and the final of my Baggin-shieldtober series that took me 9 months lol. Once again, thank you @smolestboop for the amazing prompts. Summary: On the afternoon of Kili's 18th birthday, Thorin and the rest of the company and their families) remembeed their past lives. Their quest, living in a thriving Erebor.

Thorin remembered loving and losing Bilbo. 4 year later there still hasn't been any word from their burglar. Thorin needs to find the other half of his heart.

Count, Count, Count before you Cry: Count, Count, Count before I Die (Bilbo/Thorin, written for @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt count the days, very sad, please read the tags)

Summary: Thorin and the dwarves are Gold sick and they have NOT forgiven Bilbo his betrayal

A pair of scarlet rain boots (Geralt/Jaskier, My very first Witcher fic that I think is one of my fav things I've written)

Summary: Jaskier passed away a long time ago. The only human in a family of non-humans.

Cirilla has just had her first child and she wishes with all her heart her only human parent was here. Of course, he loved her so much he has never left her.

My brothers, my boys, my twins (Horry Potter, its Percy and George, gen fic for the @hp-abandonshipfest, its also part of my FireSeeker (Percy/Viktor) Series)

Summary: Percy was unintentionally parentified at a young age. He was tasked with being an extra parent to the twins. Now, having dumped his boyfriend, the night before the twins 22nd Birthday, the first birthday without Fred, he finds himself with George and Harry. Reminiscing about the boys he all but helped raised. His twins, and one is missing forever-more.

For the Abandon ship fest, prompt 67: Pre canon, Percy being the one who mostly watches the twins.

Dorcas the Orca, The Maruaders and a jail cell (A marauuders gen crack fic for a wonderful friend of mine)

Summary: Sirius, James and Remus are put in a jail cell.

As annoying as it is, Remus would have dealt with it, but theres an orca in the corner of the cell somehow...

Summary: Jaskier has a new song and is as subtle as a drunken Lambert.

If Geralt doesnt see Jaskier's feelings for him now, well theres no hope for him.

HP Next Generation Appreciation Week - Day 3: Favorite Ship

Hi everyone! For the third day of @endlessly-cursed's HP Next Gen appreciation week event, the prompt is to explain an OC ship you're a part of that you consider your favorite. For me, it was difficult and took a long time for me to settle on an OC ship for Brian, but the search finally concluded when my dear friend @clovermunson/@mjs-oc-corner came along with the amazing Alyssa Lockwood. Their ship isn't strictly the only one I have for Brian, but it's the main one I have for him.

Brian x Alyssa or Alybri, is a very wholesome Ravenclaw x Ravenclaw ship. I've collaborated with Mo to establish some sweet little interactions for them. Whenever Alyssa looses track of time, Brian may come along and remind her to break from her book assignments for a little while to get some fresh air and have fun. They enjoy getting each other gifts once in a while. I can’t go without mentioning their adorable pets, her cat Star and his owl Archimedes. 🐈🦉 There's lots of little things that make their story magical and my favorite part about Alybri is how they seem to compliment each other in many ways 🥺💙💙

okay so here is my writing plan currently:

Main Focus: Serpents Club (Finishing Prince of Ruin and starting Prince of Wrath)

Side projects: Teen Wolf fic and 2nd HP series (Currently looking like the Lestrange Series is going to win)

Dessert project: HP Next Gen prompts. Those just make me happy and aren't really meant to make it to the internet unless I write one that blows me away but I doubt it.

Stewing on the back burners: These are the stories that float around my mind for tumblr content but actually writing words for their stories is not anywhere near the forefront of my mind, but if inspo hits... I could start collecting ideas and scenes together. This includes all of my Descendants stories, Beyond the Stars and By the Angel, all that fun stuff.
