Hello, lovelies!

I am aware that I haven't done an AW in January as usual, but due to some personal stuff, I have postponed doing it till now. But fear not, your yearly AW is back!

And this time, our youngest generation will take the lead! As usual, you don't have to participate every day, and anyone with a next gen OC (1999-2010) is welcome!

HP Next Generation Appreciation Week - Day 5: Beach AU

Hello! This is my entry for the final day of @endlessly-cursed's HP next gen appreciation week! On this one, we're invited to share an idea of how a visit to the beach would go for our OCs!

Now Brian would love to spend a day on the beach! His favorite activity could be to play volleyball, tennis or badminton with friends. The kiddo likes the soft, loose texture of the sand. Nothing is better than cooling off in the wave on the hottest days, and he finds listening to the cries of the seagulls while lying on a mat on lounger relaxing. Maybe he'll also watch the horizon and see if he can catch a ship, sailboat, or even a plane or helicopter. Brian never saw himself as being a surfer, but he admires the sport.

The best time for him to go would be the later afternoon when the skies have the best potential to be beautiful and the temperature a little cooler. Brian's both adventurous and relaxed. He's ready to catch and enjoy the rushing feeling of the ocean breeze. It could be happening while he's reading a book or studying a map. And of course, he wouldn't hesitate to invite his dear Alyssa @mjs-oc-corner

@endlessly-cursed’s HP Next Gen Appreciation Week | Day 5: Beach Day AU

⤷ DECLAN can be found amidst the sports. he’s part of any attempt at beach volleyball or cornhole or anything else athletic, whether that be swimming or trying out surfing.

⤷ LUKE can be found laying next to sophie. he’s not a beach person, and is definitely overdressed. he’s most likely still awake, but his eyes are shut.

⤷ SOPHIE can be found reading under an umbrella, occasionally looking up to see what else is going on. she’s also watching luke.

⤷ QUINN can be found being dragged different directions by his younger sister, cassidy. she’s the only one brave enough to fully boss quinn around.

⤷ JUDE can be found either swimming or working on his shot. the sand makes a poor substitute for ice or the street, but jude is obsessed with hockey and making sure that everything with his game is perfect.

next gen appreciation week; day one, favourite oc of mine

edmund "baby" quinn baby is the eldest child of camron quinn and olly enfield. he was born in 2002, and at hogwarts, sorted into slytherin. people rarely call him edmund, instead using his nickname baby or his surname quinn. baby is self-assured, charming, and outgoing. he’s in the quidditch team and popular at school. he has a younger sister called irma and a complicated relationship with his ex best friend rome st. james.

HP Next Generation Appreciation Week 2024 - Days 1 & 2

Hi everyone! I was busy yesterday, so I decided to combine my first and second entries for @endlessly-cursed's HP Next Gen appreciation week event.

Day one covers an OC belonging to you that you consider your favorite. I just have my boy Brian Haywood-Reese, so I will share a bit on what I like about him. He's been a quidditch aficionado since he was little. Young Brian has watched the games, kept memorabilia, and had dreams of playing for Hogwarts and later for a pro team when he grows up. He is a big believer in good sportsmanship and teamwork, ready to help people in need and very loyal to his mates. However, that also makes it easier for him to be swayed by bullies and rivals who play dirty into doing things such as unsanctioned races out of pressure to preserve his good name. Brian was afraid of his reputation being destroyed by rumors and gossip, so he fell for such challenges. However, he learns to stand up for himself more and is dedicated to building his own strengths and academics, becoming more confident in the process.

Today focuses on another person's OC that is your favorite. My choice has got to be my good friend @mjs-oc-corner/@clovermunson's Alyssa Lockwood. Not only is she the love of Brian's life, she's very driven to learn while looking out for her family and friends. Alyssa can stay at something for a while, whether it be class or being there for someone feeling down. A compassionate and kindhearted Ravenclaw, she also has a beautiful cat named Star with white fur who can be very soft and soothing. Alyssa fervently supports her friends in their endeavors, and you can always count on her if you need a friend to study with or just cheer you on. She may get deep into her work and seem distant from other things going on around her, but it’s never out of ill-intent and Alyssa has just as much fun getting out and spending time in the nice warm weather on a sunny day.

edmund "baby" quinn x rome st. james baby and rome were best friends and everyone thought they would always be. everything changed when they started their fifth year at hogwarts, however. baby finally got into the quidditch team and started hanging out with richard beck, spending less and less time with rome. at the same time unbeknownst to everyone else, rome was struggling with a rare magical illness and chances of recovery were slim. as if that wasn't enough, forces of darkness start conspiring and the boys are bound to get involved but can they repair their relationship and save rome's life?

HP Next Gen AW- Beach Day

As John and Shreya set everything on the sand, Yasemin was already taking pictures of the beach on different angles as Scott and Jude discussed hockey passes and Noor started taking off her clothes, showing off her new bikini that Mansi had bought for her.

After setting the towels, Shreya too showed off her navy blue bikini, and John smiled at her "That's a gorgeous bikini. How come I never saw it before?"

Shreya shrugged "A gift from my father after he finished his business in Singapore."

Overhearing them, Yasemin clapped "Ohh! I have to show you my new bikini! It's gorgeous! Look!" She took off her beach dress and showed her pink and white bikini, and Scott beamed, a small flush on his cheeks.

"You look gorgeous, my love, as usual."

"Aww, Scotty!" She kissed his cheek, and he gave her a quick peck.

Noor, following the lead of her friends, also showed her bikini. Jude looked at her before commenting "You look great. It suits you perfectly."

"Let's hit the water! I'm already sweating."

Shreya took off to the water, and shrieked "Ahh! Cold!"

Yasemin followed her sister "I'm sure it's fi-AHH! COLD!"

Scott chased after her "Don't worry, I'll warm you!"

Noor chuckled, and took Jude's hand and they walked slowly, watching how Shreya tried to adjust to the cold Irish shore, and Scott carrying a giggling Yasemin on his arms, shouting how he'd protect her from the cold waters. They were exchanging kisses and giggles.

"Huh. I don't feel cold anymore." Jude commented.

Noor squeezed his hand "You're quite warm, yes."

He kissed her hand "I'll go try practise some hockey and let John have fun in the water."

Jude quickly exchanged places with John, who didn't seem to mind the cold water and soon had Shreya on his arms, tickling her and playing in the water.

"Scott, careful! You'll ruin my curls!" Yasemin cried, giggling.

After a good time in the water, the couples eventually returned to shore, where Shreya and John handed everyone their snacks and started swapping tales "...And then, Luke swore to never come to us with the beach!" Shreya giggled.

"Poor Luke! Imagine that all the birds nearby attack you and steal your lunch! He handled it better than I would have..." Yasemin empathised with her cousin.

Scott, who had his arm around her, kissed her cheek "Don't worry darling, I'll protect you from the aggressive birds."

Jude looked at Noor amused "Pretty sure Noor wouldn't need my assistance."

John laughed "Neither should Shreya. When it comes to food, the girl is mean."

They all laughed as Shreya stick out her tongue to John.

As the dawn began to come to the beach, Scott laid his head on Yasemin's lap as they whispered and giggled between them, Noor and Jude watched a hockey game in comfortable silence and Shreya and John cuddled, sunbathing with their eyes closed. They all silently agreed that they should make of this a tradition.

HP Next Generation Appreciation Week 2024 - Day 4: Favorite Ships of Other People's OCs

Hey everyone! Hope the weekend went well! I was originally not going to cover the last two days, but I've recovered enough from a crappy start to the day to humor the rest of the entries for @endlessly-cursed's HP Next Gen Appreciation Week! Day 4's entry was dedicated to ships of other people's OCs that you like.

I was able to think of the ship Seyford by @endlessly-cursed and @mjs-oc-corner. Harry x Savanah stand out to me because they're a absolutely sweet and precious pairing with sentiments that remind me much of Alybri, my own ship with Mo involving Brian and Alyssa, another of her OCs. They seem to enjoy much of the similar energies while both being amazing OC x OC ships in their own right.

HP Next Generation Appreciation Week - Day 3: Favorite Ship

Hi everyone! For the third day of @endlessly-cursed's HP Next Gen appreciation week event, the prompt is to explain an OC ship you're a part of that you consider your favorite. For me, it was difficult and took a long time for me to settle on an OC ship for Brian, but the search finally concluded when my dear friend @clovermunson/@mjs-oc-corner came along with the amazing Alyssa Lockwood. Their ship isn't strictly the only one I have for Brian, but it's the main one I have for him.

Brian x Alyssa or Alybri, is a very wholesome Ravenclaw x Ravenclaw ship. I've collaborated with Mo to establish some sweet little interactions for them. Whenever Alyssa looses track of time, Brian may come along and remind her to break from her book assignments for a little while to get some fresh air and have fun. They enjoy getting each other gifts once in a while. I can’t go without mentioning their adorable pets, her cat Star and his owl Archimedes. 🐈🦉 There's lots of little things that make their story magical and my favorite part about Alybri is how they seem to compliment each other in many ways 🥺💙💙
