Does anyone else feel like Aylinluna was horribly out of character this episode?? I've heard that apparently some things were cut, so that might be the reason but it still felt weird. Like ur telling me Luna, who has literally been so respectful of Aylin's boundaries literally even last episode, is suddenly forcing her to go out of her comfort zone?? Okay, fine, I understand the concept of wanting ur gf to get along with ur friends, but ur telling me Luna wouldn't stand up for Aylin when someone is clearly getting in her face and making her uncomfortable?? That she would call her an ALIEN??!!!

#they've been saying this ever since the finale aired and it drives me CRAZY #have your personal opinions all you want but to say that 2x08 was objectively a weak episode is simply not correct #cinematography acting vfx choreography music EVERYTHING was at the absolute top of its game #and despite being an Exciting Battle Episode it was completely anchored in character moments & emotional resonance which is no easy feat #so much going on yet there was time for every major character to get a huge developmental/emotional beat #(yes even those like nynaeve whose beat was a loss rather than a victory)#every season arc was either wrapped up in an immensely satisfying way or was set up for a deeper examination next season #and 90% of the general audience absolutely loved it #and yet reddit acts like it's an Accepted Fact that it was poor quality #just bc the book-to-show changes in that episode weren't to THEIR PERSONAL taste #touch grass #wot #seeing as season finales will always have the biggest moments it's kinda inevitable that hardcore book fans #will always be the most sensitive to any changes made in those particular episodes #not to mention that the changes made in eps 1-7 will snowball and culminate in the finale #so i feel like finales are always gonna be judged the most harshly by readers #like if dumai's wells isn't an exact 1:1 recreation of the book version #readers are 1000000% going to flip their shit no matter how objectively good the show's version actually is #wot book spoilers #for the replies

There's been interesting developments at work and i need to do a lot of work for university so i think tonight is the Perfect time to finish beyond evil

#i can't even begin to explain how ridiculous the work stuff is on here because it won't fit in the tags and I'm definitely not making a #whole post about it but let's just say it's crazy how detached that boss is from reality and realistic expectations #also none of this was actually communicated to me by the boss but i got to know about it from my colleagues who were like #'uh it seems like he [boss] wants you to take [BIG journal]' which is enraging actually since this would not be part of my #job description as I'd be a trainee and not an editor #but I'd have to work as an editor for the pay of a trainee (which btw is ridiculously low))#ANYWAY #i also have to write my papers finish my assignments write my internship report find a master's thesis topic and find a supervisor #within the next 2 months #but tonight #tonight is beyond evil night #(probably not gonna finish it. but I'll watch the rain scene and maybe even finish ep. 15 so you can imagine #what will happen tomorrow hehehehehehe #prepare for a flood of BE content as I'll be losing my mind once again just like i did the first 11 times)#and it's probably a good way to distract me from my coworker's absence ㅠㅠ i need to cope Somehow so #why not like this #watching BE is a good and appropriate way of handling any difficult situation (:#void screams #beyond evil #tbd probably #I'm overwhelmed and therefore chatty #not even sorry

Ok other favourite moments from this ep:

- Imogen’s reaction to getting a reprieve from the voices when she wears the circlet… She has been in pain for so long and she finally gets to experience a break from that and Laura played that moment so well, I felt it in my soul.

- Orym hugging Fearne’s legs when they were saying goodbye on the airship and Fearne telling him not to do anything stupid… 🥺 God everything about that goodbye moment hurt. I’m so scared that we’re gonna lose someone during the solstice…

- Fearne and Ashton having a MOMENT… Ashton going in for a hug just to steal something from her, then asking for something precious and irreplaceable and getting a kiss, his quiet little “well shit, that won’t be easy to steal back”… THEY’RE FUCKING CUTE, 10/10 Callowmoore moment.

- Sam’s passion for wanting to pilot that robot Voltron-style. I hope FCG gets to pilot a giant robot body, they deserve it.

I wanna make a post specifically abt the alien culture stuff in tm2 because i have a Lort Of Headcanons (and straight up fanon) based on the very very little info we got from the first anime. but im like. should I wait until tmmn s2 is done airing?? what if we get more info/lore and I want to change the tm2 lore based on it. tm2 is focused more on my ocs anyway since its next gen and I do pull a good 80% of stuff from the first anime, as opposed to the new one, or the mangas* (*ok I pull from la mode a lot and the video game with ringo, for the other 20% rather than the entirety of the mangas but. still) so it's like. it SHOULD be alright to do soon instead of waiting, maybe...
