Jules Nichols Headcanons (Pt. 2)

General Personality

-This woman is one bad day away from locking herself in the generator room and never coming out.

-Upon first introduction, (if you can even call it that), she says her name and maybe three words.

"Hi Sheriff Nichols, I'm [Name]"

"Oh. It's Jules. Don't call me Sheriff."

-Has the ability to literally disappear like a cat. Doesn't want to be seen? Won't. You won't find her anywhere, don't try, she climbs up in the vents. Yeah. You heard me. The fucking air vents.

-BOY HUMOR. She's been around men her entire life. Her humor is absolutely rancid. Every dirty joke in the book. Not 'one of the guys' , she is a 'guy'.

-All of her friends are men. They slap each other on the back when hugging, first hugs are going to be interesting.

-First contact you'll ever make with her is a handshake. Very firm. This woman can GRIP.

First Date/ Getting to know each other

-Jules doesn't know what dating is. She's the equivalent of a Silo Comp Sci major, except she wears deodorant. You bet your ass asking her out is like asking out a brick wall.

"Hey Jules, I was wondering if we could hang out sometime...?"

"We're talking right now."

*Stares. Just fucking STARES.*

-But if she has feelings, it is at least ten times harder.

"Hey, want to grab coffee?"

".... What's coffee?"

*Looks at you with bugged out autistic eyes.*

-She lurks if she has a crush. Looking out from the corner of the room with those same bugged out eyes. She doesn't talk. Maybe she fixes something in your tool kit without asking, but you bet your ass she's not talking first.

-It's like trying to befriend a feral cat. Good news? She can and will be bribed with food.

Awkward Stage

-After you coerce Jules into a date, because you will have to be the one to make the move with her, she becomes worse with the lurking.

-Breathing over your shoulder, her front almost touching your back but never quite making contact. Itching to touch, but also not wanting to touch. INDECISIVE.

-Sniffing.

-Yeah bud, you heard me. She sniffs. Finds out what soaps you use, maybe perfume. Invests in that shit.

-Starts naming things after you. Her favorite wrench? Now it's [Reader] wrench. New mechanical equipment? Automatically your name. EVERYONE around her knows she likes you simply because she refers to the generator with your name once.

-(She climbed into the air vents after that screw up).

Relationship Stage

-CLINGY.

-We've established she's a bottom. Wants to be babied all. The. Time. She's like one of those large Newfoundlands that want to be held like a baby. Is she baby sized? Can she even fit in your lap comfortably? No, but she sits there anyways.

-Eating EVERYTHING in your house.

-Can't cook? You're gonna have to learn to. This woman doesn't cook, only eats. If you don't feed her she will bitch and moan until you do.

-SO. FUCKING. HANGRY.

-Being alone with her is like having a breathing shadow. Wants to cuddle, needs to cuddle. Cuddling on the sofa, in the kitchen, in the bed, in the shower.

-Nibbling. Forget wearing anything except turtlenecks, your neck is covered in red marks constantly. Lots of kisses though, so it works out.

-Nose in your neck. Face in your shoulder, face in your boobs if she can. Face. Must. Touch.

-Loves your boobs. Mesmerized by them every time they come out. Also mesmerized by other things ;)

Random (Basically Jules being autistic)

-Investing in a stim swing would be the best present EVER. Swing is life. Bouncing and spinning, just the feet out. It's her new air vents.

-Wants TIGHT hugs. They have to be tight. As tight as you can make them. That pressure is good.

-Ties her shoes really tight too. Would wear tight pants if she could avoid harassment, therefore all of her pajamas are tight.

-Saltines are her favorite snack. You heard me. Crispy, same texture every time and just salty enough. Munches on them like a hamster.

-Saturday night activities include taking apart your kitchen toaster and fiddling with it until it works RIGHT. (It was making a high pitched noise that was driving her nuts).

-Does all the fixing in the house not because you can't but because she cannot watch you do it because you're not doing it 'right'.

-The bug eyed look is basically her resting face.

-Brings home a kitten from the generator one day, proudly naming it Lug-nut. (Luggie for short). This cat is basically Jules in cat form. They have the same expression. At all times.

- He is a giant teddy bear and he’s very sensitive

- Fort Max does not trust easily, the best way to get closer to him is to be patient and to stand up for him. Deep down he wants to know that you would be able to take care of him if anything were to happen again.

- Sometime’s he zones out, if you notice that he’s most likely experiencing a flashback. Speak to him gently, remind Max where he is and hold his hand. His love for you increases tenfold. 

- Absolute cuddle monster, he would hold you for hours if he’s able too. Sucks that he has to get up and do things :/

- Speaking of, while he’s conscious he knows you're safe but is an insomniac due to wanting to avoid his nightmares. If you share a hab suite with him he will require you sleep in separate beds at first. He does not trust himself enough not to hurt you during his night terrors. 

- However, with time and reassurance, he caves and lets you sleep with him. And holy slag he has never slept better in his life. The weight of you on top of him reminded his recharging body that you were there, and no nightmares plagued him that night.

- So expect him to wait for you when he goes to bed from now on, or at least for you to tuck him in if you need to be up longer. 

- Takes care of you too. He’s mindful of any disability you may have, and has set internal timers to remind you to take your medicines if you have any. Because of Rung’s help, he’s emotionally intelligent and will comfort you or let you vent if need be.

- Not one to initiate PDA, but that doesn't mean he doesn’t like it. Give him quick kisses on the cheek or nose, or hold his hand and sit with him, he is SMITTEN. 

- You get scary dog privileges, when in fact he is the Cybertronian equivalent to a Newfoundland dog. (As a Canadian I will die on this hill)

- If you’re smaller than him, he carries you most of the time. He loves holding you near him and will bury his face in your chest when you two are alone.

- If you’re bigger? HOOOO BOY. Expect nervous fidgeting and stuttering a lot. He’s intimidated in a good way. Has never been picked up before so excuse the all-too-cute squeak he made.

- Embarrasses very easily pls don’t be mean to him

- LOVES photography, and very into astronomy. I found it interesting how in the comic he could realize where they are just by looking out the window, so he follows star maps a lot. Probably collects almanacs in his spare time.

- Verbally stims by clicking his glossa. If he’s in public though he will fidget with anything he can get his servos on. Pens, paper, cups, plating, even petting your hair if you're human. 

- Spooks easily, not a fan of horror films for... obvious reasons.

- He would give up his spark for you, he would protect you to his very last breath.

Brief Personality: Ryu is a Bit of an odd duckling, He is very passionate about the things he likes but he has a tendency to shy away from other people, He prefers to be alone but will make an exception for his friend group. He has a tendency to worry about how people perceive him and likes to keep his secrets locked up tight.

Brief Backstory:

Ryu grew up with just him and his dad. He’s always looked up to his dad ever since he was little, however his dad… was.. an interesting character to say the least.. There’s a reason why Ryu’s mom isn’t in the picture and it’s not because she was abducted by lizard people like his father says.

Ryu has always been an exceptionally intelligent kid, he was able to excel in school but his dad.. didn’t really appreciate this.. or anything about Ryu really. He tended to just put Ryu in his room and let him fend for himself.

His father was a very religious man, he didn’t like that Ryu was a bit girlier than the other boys, Ryu 9/10 in his childhood were in and out of church therapy trying to pray the gay out of him.

Eventually Ryu gave in, and he attached himself to any masculine thing he actually enjoyed. He did really like sports so he put his all into that, showing people that he was normal..

Of course even tho he acted perfect his father still couldn’t see that. His fathers theories on the world got more and more unhinged every day.. and Ryu just had to sit there and deal with it.

His father has a tendency to compare Ryu to something inhuman due to his personality, and dehumanize him. Though Ryu is so use to it at this point it doesn’t fully register anymore.

Ryu eventually was able to make friends with his “Bros”, he loves them dearly. He isn’t good at showing it though..

I’m sure that gay thing wont come back.. It’s fineee.. It’s just guys being dudes after all.

30 DAYS OF AUTISM ACCEPTANCE 2023

I was busy and tired as hell for the last week, so I'm postin answers for questions 1-6 all in one post

1 April: The typical introduction question! Tell us something about yourself. If you can't think of anything, try these: What do you enjoy to do in your free time? What music or series/show do you like? Are you happy with your current living situation/the people you live with? What's one of your favourite foods?

My name is Jarvis, I'm 24 y.o. self-diagnosed autistic person. Also, I'm a trans guy. I'm Belarusian, but currently studying in Poland. I have degree in pharmacy, but my working experience was borderline traumatising, so I hope to switch into biology since animals are my major special interest. In terms of hobbies, I'm mostly into drawing, handmade, and fantasy/sci-fi media, especially Star Wars and Genshin Impact. I also play Ark Survival Evolved time to time, since it's a perfect combo of sci-fi, open world and dinosaurs, and it's all about building your own home and taming creatures. My music taste is mostly not very "hard" subgenres of metal, something like Sabaton or Metallite. Favourite food - probably something from Chinese cuisine, or something with mutton.

2 April: When were you diagnosed and when did you know that you're autistic? If you're self-diagnosed, when did you first suspect that you're autistic and when were you sure?

It's actually a funny story because… It all started with my mother calling my dog autistic as a joke. My doggo is rather shy and reserved, and kind of slow in his reactions, and also don't always understand how to play with other dogs or humans. And he's not even a big calm dog like a newfoundland, he's a pomeranian.

So I noticed that traits that my dog is called "autistic" for are kinda matching some traits I have myself. I've got curious and decided to google it, and ended up in a rabbit hole of self-diagnosis lasting for the las 7 years.

3 April: How good or bad is your memory for things people say? For example verbal instructions. If you're deaf: Can you lip read? Do you think your autism influences your ability to lip read?

Bad… Especially when they give a whole list of instructions right away. I usually get the first instruction, and my mind starts to focus on it too much, thinking about how I would actually do the task. But as the result, I completely miss the rest of instructions because they turn into background noise, and if I try to focus on them too, I completely forget the first one.

4 April: Were/are you in special education? Regular school? Home schooled? A private school? Did it change over time? Did/do you like it?

My mother has always been against me going to a psychologist, even though people around were noticing something and sugested it to her a couple of times. And even if I was sent to a doctor, I doubt that those old brats who stick to USSR medical books would have ever notice something in a girl who's just a little bit weird and was bullied in school for no particular reason. But I was a smart one, so starting with second grade I was studying in a gymnazium (in Belarus we call so more "elite" schools with extended programm, but it's still a state school)

5 April: Did/do you have accommodations at school/IEP? If not, do you think it would help/have helped you?

Sadly I didn't have accomodations, some teachers were even ignoring the fact that I was one of the most bullied students. Vice versa, they were often calling me out on my behavior, that turned out to be my atism. The only thing that was kinda saving me is that I had good grades and was a very sucsessful participant of biology competitions, so they let slide some things like drawing during classes (my form of stimming at that time). Of course it got worse at university, were I was contantly stressed and didn't have "the one who brings medals to the school" shield anymore. I really wish that my surrounding weren't at least so mean to me, not even speaking about specific accomodations.

6 April: Can you understand what people say when they talk fast, or do you lose track after a while? Was it different when you were younger? Additional question if your hearing is aided: If your hearing is aided, does that trigger sensory overloads sometimes?

Honestly, no. It turns into unidentifiable gibberish almost right away and I need to ask people to stop and repeat the whole thing. And I have always been like that, which honestly was often a source of annoyance to people around me.

Jamie reached for the clothes Sherlock had thrown onto the bed, studying him carefully as he spoke. Every single thing about him was noted and catalogued, even as she listened intently, her expression never changing from the nervous but trusting expression she wore as Irene. He was tense -- his shoulders were squared and one of his hands was clenched at his side, like a soldier standing to attention, as he gesticulated with the other. Sherlock had always been uncomfortable in his body, especially next to the Irene façade she wore, with her deliberately loose and languid gestures. But he had never been this rigid, this strained, during their time together. This was a new aberration in his personality, a sign of just how affected he had been by her apparent death. She had to admit that it was disappointing, but it made him all the easier to read. Every new tick, every stim, she noticed was a sign of his inner turmoil.

She had never struggled to read him, and right now he was an open book. He reeled off the plan at typical lightning speed, and she sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her jeans on. She was still facing him, heedless to him seeing her shirtless. She buttoned her jeans, and reached for the vest, yanking it on over her head as he talked of the Greyhound bus and his friend in Maine. The plan was as good as any -- it served the purpose she had intended and physically severed him from that insipid partner of his, thereby removing whatever superfluous influence she held over him. Jamie of course did not doubt that she could draw him in within the irritating confines of New York, but things would go much smoother away from the long shadow of the N.Y.P.D. and Joan Watson.

He finally stopped talking, and Jamie stood up and slipped the black coat on over her vest, finally completing the ensemble. “We don’t need to have every move mapped out twenty steps in advance,” she said, the false American accent slipping from her mouth effortlessly and naturally, giving her words a soft roundness. “But it sounds like we can get as far as Newfoundland, and then... see where we go from there?” She picked up her bag and held it close to her. With her wet hair hanging over her shoulders, and apparently all her worldly possessions in the rucksack, she painted a pathetic picture.

“I know this is hard for you, Sherlock,” she said quietly. “Leaving the city. But... I’ll feel safer, knowing you’re with me.” She managed a weak smile, which didn’t completely reach her eyes. “Thank you for doing this. I don’t know what I’d do if I had to go alone.” She paused, swallowed, and blinked, careful not to overdo it. The role of the victim came naturally to her, but she didn’t want to overplay it and slip into a caricature. So, she just stood there, waiting for him to take the lead and fill the silence, knowing him well enough to realise that he would. If she was playing the role of the innocent victim, then he was playing his role as the heroic martyr perfectly and reliably.

140: Did you have any pretend or imaginary friends? - FLORA!!! She was a character I had a dream about as a kid and she was in all my imaginary stories with me for years! I actually revived her as a character recently and wrote about her world again. She’s like my fave OC now and she has a GF XD
