I am many things, but chief among them is Astrologer, Teacher and Minister. And I am dogged about staying focused on these things. This gives me the opportunity to quickly and easily say NO to those things that I am not, and that I do not want to be, but yet society thinks I should be.

Society is trying to take astrology, teaching and the ministry into directions that are not me, and to be perfectly blunt, are doing more to tear down these professions than to build them up. But society does that quite often - strips away the individuality of something in order to move it into the "collective."

That is the teaching of today's Full Moon at 27° Aquarius, along with a host of other "saturn-esque" transits that are asking us to be much more disciplined in our decisions. (See the graphic for the details.)

Groups of people by nature are a "society," and we as individuals desire to belong in society. But society oftentimes oversteps its bounds and tries to make you something you are not. Today is a reminder that a focused and committed society of "one" can have quite the impact.

We’ve reached an interesting time in history. What ever we begin now, are working on or are even thinking about will be part of our transformation over the next 20 years.

We have a new moon in Aquarius today. That’s when the sun and the moon meet up in the sky. This particular one is special because it’s the first new moon in our lifetime where Pluto is present. Mercury is in on this party too and together they are invoking transformation in our mind, emotional body and basic sense of self. What are you doing right now? What are you creating and who are the people you are surrounding yourself with? More importantly, do you see yourself in the current environment you find yourself in over the next two decades? If you’re not where you’d like to be, that’s ok. Today, you also get the chance to envision and manifest the path you’d like to be on.

This new moon will not only have very strong transformational energies attached to it but also abrupt change. Uranus in Taurus is tensely squaring the sun and moon in Aquarius. The New Moon happens on January 21, at 1 degrees of Aquarius. Aquarius means higher dreams/ideals, inspiration, humanitarianism, community action and engagement. It’s also friends, groups, and networks. The sun, the moon, Saturn and Venus will be all in air signs.

The universe is helping us with this energy to make our manifestations real if we have a deeper commitment based on our thoughts, beliefs and actions and in alignement with our words of affirmations.

happy first nu moon of 2023! of course we gotta start off with an aquarius nu moon on january 21, 2023 at 2:53 PM CST, which is so on brand for where the collective is heading. nu moons invite us to start nu beginnings and with the moon being in aquarius, we're being called to usher in nu beginnings pertaining to finding our people + building our tribe. but in order to do that, we must feel confident in ourselves so that we have the courage to be ourselves + attract our true tribe. personally, i don't really manifest with nu moons (i like to manifest with full moons instead), but this is a great nu moon for manifesting more authenticity in and around you, a bigger audience surrounding your craft, nu friendships, leadership opportunities, and innovation.

Saturday, February 10th 2024 Sun in Aquarius ♒️💨 Moon in Aquarius ♒️💨 and Pisces ♓️🌊

We’re coming down from the Aquarius New Moon energies this morning. I hope everyone had a day filled with intentions yesterday. If you forgot, you still have some time to work with the energies today.

The Moon will shift into dreamy Pisces by mid-morning here in the Atlantic shifting the energies from airy to watery, activating our more sensitive and intuitive sides. Get really inspired or take a nap and activate your dream world.

While in Pisces, the moon will be meeting up with Saturn where we can add some structure to all that inspiration. All the new stuff you’ve been manifesting can take hold for the long run with this energy. I’m curious if anyone is having actual new beginnings today. I can most certainly say that I am as I begin a new course for my desired future practices that has been slightly delayed. But then again, the universe is making sure it’s exactly the right time.

The Pisces Moon will also be sextile Jupiter in Taurus adding some expansion to these energies, so now we’re sending all that beautiful new energy out into the universe to start working for us!

Lastly we have Mercury in Aquarius in a square with Jupiter in Taurus. This energy can bring out the volume in our words so watch your tone and be careful with what you say. This can make for explosive outbursts if you’re not careful. All this energy is asking of you is to think before you speak.

Aquarius New Moon (Jan. 21, 2023):

The very first new moon of the year marks a time of significant change in our lives (and our world). Whatever changes we are moving through at this time are very important at a personal- and soul-growth level. Entire life chapters are closing and new ones are beginning. We are being called to focus on stepping into this next new chapter.

And the Universe is urging us to be the authors of whatever comes next. To do this, we must step fully into our power and take ownership of/responsibility for our lives and experiences. And we must learn to embrace and be true to our unique soul expression. The Universe is supporting and pushing us towards this. This can feel exciting, but also uncomfortable or even scary for some, as it requires letting go of any fears we may have of  what others think of us.

We are being supported in identifying and structuring our lives around what is truly most important to us. We are also being reminded that all parts of us need our acceptance – even the aspects we don’t like and the wants/needs that we’re afraid of being judged as “selfish” for having. We’re being challenged to step into our inner witness: to allow all of our feelings without judgement and without becoming overly attached to them. 

The momentum is really starting to pick up now too. It is likely we will be feeling a renewed sense of motivation to take action towards our desires/goals. The Aquarius new moon is always a time when inspiration and amazing ideas are more likely to strike -- but it is even more likely around this particular new moon, as Mercury is just about to trine Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius).
