With acknowledgement to David Willis of Shortpacked!, who did a similar joke based on Greg Capullo's art of the bat family in tuxedos way back in 2011.

If you ask why he's not mentioning any of the Batgirls, I'm pretty sure he hasn't formally adopted them, and also they obviously aren't clones of him. I'm convinced blonde hair is why he let Stephanie die that time.

Out this week: Search & Destroy (Fantagraphics, $14.99): 

Atsushi Kaneko reimagines Osamu Tezuka’s Dororo as a “cyberpunk thriller” in this first of three volumes. The original Dororo was set in feudal Japan and featured a swordsman and a thief hunting for the swordsman’s organs, which were bartered away by his father to demons in exchange for dominance on the battlefield. Search & Destroy moves the story into a dystopian post-cold-war future where mercenary robots serve the human elite and victimize the city’s scrabbling, desperate masses. The violent death of one of these robots connects an orphaned thief named Doro with a mysterious girl with deadly cybernetic implants.

New comic day never ceased to brighten my week. Excited to dive into Werewolf by Night! And continue Spectregraph (adoring the art and the cover printing), Lawful, and Blitmap! (Issue 3 was tricky to find for a moment xD)

I'm really excited, poozers! Cuz every time Batman shows up in a Tom Taylor book he's written incredibly well, an' Tom Taylor announced yesterday that he's gonna be the next Detective Comics writer after Ram V!

Detective Comics may be poised ta' become my favorite book, which given my feelins on Batman is quite a thing!
