Honestly, the mods are to thank!! I appreciate them so much for inviting me onto that project, and everyone on the team put all their passion into it and I can't be more prouder of them! I think it really turned out great and you guys also deserve recongnition for supporting the magazine, because it wouldn't be possible without your guys help!

Having the opprotunity to draw something with so many creatives that I love and to contribute something from my favorite TMNT iteration ontop of that too, I'm over the moon. I'm very excited to share them once I'm allowed to!

I'd love to hear more about your AUs or TMNT OCs if you'd be alright with answering that!

The main AU I mostly play around with is a conglomerate where it's all mixed in with mostly 2k3, IDW and some Rise elements whether that's characters or worlds/settings! It's been kinda fun where it's roughly after season 4 of 2k3 before it melds and transitions into IDW and Rise story beats later! But this also has TONS of OCs that my buddy @sakuracards (Peachy) and I mixed up together in this version with the turtles! Like Alice who's a ex-Y'lyntian mutant slave, Peachy's fan made version of Mona Lisa, a bishop experiment, plus the kids that act like a next generation after the turtles with Cherub (Mona and Raph's daughter), Kevin and baby Angie (Alice and Don's kids), and their human friends, Hibine and Illana! There's so many to list, it's really turned into a thing on it's own and we affectionally call them mutant family, because it's gotten so out of hand. (I'm also currently working on a AU where my OC gets swept up with Big Mama (Rottmnt)'s shenanigans with her assistant...lots of drama. hehe.) I'm working hard with peachy to make a seperate account soon so that we can share all of our lore for mutant family! It's just a lot of characters to organize first so that it'll be easy to follow.

What is it you like about the Roninverse? The concept has intrigued me sometimes, but I've never read it because the impression I've gotten is that it tipped over from dark into grimdark. Is that the appeal? or is there something more?

The book is incredibly sad, gritty and dark. (It lightens up a lot more in the sequel but still has incredibly sad themes, especially with grief/death). I think it's good for the franchise to dive into a new cast. But with a new generation of turtle characters, I think so far they're doing a pretty good job making these characters their own thing without them being complete clones of the og turtles. They have traits of what we love about the og turtles, but they're still their own character, and I'm excited to see how they'll grow with more character development. I think it's something to definitely keep an eye on as a TMNT fan! The story by itself may be getting a lot of marketing and hype but it's well deserved. (I mean, it beat Marvel and DC numbers AND got a new york best seller stamp of approval?? For a COMIC? That's a huge brag in the industy.) It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you were a fan of the mirage comics especially, this book is a good story to asorb to get that itch since that iteration of TMNT is so rare now these days.

What do you think of TMNT Fan iterations? Do you have a fan iteration or ever thought about making one?

I love fan iterations! People come up with the best ideas AU wise and it's fun to see everyone's take on the characters and their designs! :) I have plenty of AU's of my own, but they're all mostly OC based I dabble in with close friends!

Let's step away from shows and movies for a sec, here's some comic focused qustions -

What tmnt comic versions do you enjoy? Is it more about story or art for you? What are you excited about or would like to see in upcoming comic iterations?

YESS Gimme comic questions!!! As a comic shop worker, I love this. My top favorite comic iterations are Mirage, Archie and IDW! IDW has been absolutely CRUSHING it since they've obtained the license, issues 1-100, bonkers. Amazing. Even all the mini issues have been a blast. I would read 400 more issues if Tom Waltz ever decided to focus on the ongoing again. I also been enjoying the Jason Aaron run a lot and has been a good change of pace, back to it's gritty roots again. I would LOVE to see Sophie Campbell return eventually too if she's up for it later down the line (But I'm SO ECSTASTIC for her Supergirl run! She's nailing it!) I've also been really enjoying the Last Ronin universe. I'm hopeful for the new generation of turtles and the stories they're going to tell with them to flesh them out more and hopefully form a fanbase of their own in due time. (Last Ronin III is going to be a TRUE test in my opinion for those characters, it's definitely going to be sink or swim, not to be too dramatic. But I AM grateful for them for venturing out with an ENTIRELY new cast of characters for this franchise.) I would BE...VERY EXCITED. I would go rabid even, if IDW ever considered to do a 2003 TMNT mini series (to test the waters for a ongoing - something similiar to saturday morning adventures! That book really took a life all on it's own) Also a Rise Of The TMNT series, especially if they did a future arc mini series to test the waters. I feel like that would REALLY sell like hot soup if they could pull that off with the original writing crew. (It's absolutely NO offense to the fandom tho, but support for comics is not NEARLY as strong as it is for a TV Series (understandably - listen, I loved the animation as well) and I would LOVE to see that attitude change because comic books as a story telling format deserves WAY more credit and appreciation.)

So what’s your favorite 2003 TMNT season? Or what’s the seasons ranked for you? And why?

Hi again! My favorite season?? Sheesh that's hard. I love 1-4 the most! They're the strongest! And I love each of those seasons for so many different reasons that makes it kinda difficult to choose just one! Seasons 5-7 kinda lose me a little bit and are not nearly as strong as the first 4. I know lots of network/toy marketing/movie promotion meddling kinda messed with it a lot. Fast Forward kinda has a special spot in my heart out of the three, but only because of the cool ideas it had despite the poor execution and relaspe in all that character development they've built up. I can watch season 5 and 6, but back to the sewers is STILL rough for me to rewatch. I find that season extremely disappointing due to the art style change, and lack luster 'internet' shredder comeback. (Wedding episode is pretty cute tho! I feel like a wedding episode was a good call to use as a final episode regardless.)

I'm doing great! I hope you're doing well too! The only art classes I've taken are in high school and a one or two drawing/art classes in community college, but no art school. I'm primarily mostly self taught! I would love to take some online courses soon, especially for comic book art! (I'd love to dabble in interior art!) But life/work has me pretty busy right now.

Thank you so much!! That really means a lot! I'm so happy that you like my artwork! :) I've been a doodler almost my entire life, ever since I learned how to pick up a pencil! I've always wanted to do it as a living, probably as far back as 2nd-3rd grade (That I can recall). When it came to TMNT, I was introduced to it at the ripe age of like, 10? Watched the premiere of the 2003 series and after watching the first episode, I was HOOKED. I immediately began consuming everything TMNT related through comics, movies, ect. I started drawing them non-stop (Still do!) I even entered that drawing contest Fox Box had that accepted turtle drawings from fans! (Sadly mine did not make it on there, I wish I had taken a picture of it back then!) But I haven't stopped drawing those reptilian rascals since then! :) But professionally, I've been working at it since 2013 when I started doing shows and commissions! I'm working EXTREMELY hard to get a comic cover done professionally one of these days! Wish me luck!!

Hi! :D I was trying to promote this thing I'm trying to start by asking people to create art to get the word out there, but now I'm just going to ask people if they want to straight up participate in it instead of just promoting it. You create TMNT art, have you ever thought about creating your own iteration or AU? Do you think that would be fun? Well feel free to use my writers guides. I have a Masterpost on my blog, it's the first thing you'll see! :D What do you say? :D It'll be fun! ;) it'll be like a fun hobby or side project you work on in your spare time. So will you do it? :D

You might like my next writers guide that I'm currently working on, called Little Siblings where the next gen Turtles from The Last Ronin are siblings to the original four instead of unrelated Turtles from after the original four's death. Imagine Splinter having to raise eight kids or 10 kids, that would be very stressful, but funny to watch or read about XD. That's basically what my next guide is lol.

Not sure how I missed this earlier, I apologize! This sounds really cool! I love seeing people's fun AU ideas, especially for TMNT because its the perfect franchise to play around with! Unfortuantely, my time is extremely limited right now to participate, but I do have a few AUs rattling in my brain, but they're mostly OC related!
