if a fanfic is marked as an AU, and it contains details that go against the canon, and this confuses you: this is not the writer trying to "gaslight" you. this is a brief misunderstanding that can be cleared up easily enough with a little generosity in your heart.

In which I'm continuing to argue with the tail-end of people who are still engaged (idiots, which makes me an idiot) on that yahoo politics article... I just think that some of those "FACTS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR FEE-FEES!" people are hilarious when they absolutely change their tune when presented with facts. Just got into it with one guy...and I didn't even go cite charts and graphs... I just said the simple fact that some things in my household are, in fact, doing better lately than they were previously. Also that I happen to think that world leaders don't have as much to do with the prices of eggs and gas as industries charging whatever they think they can get away with and the fact that the entire world went through a pandemic, so of course things have been messed-up and there's a slow turn-around. I get an answer of "I know my feelings despite the facts!" (something like that, actual answer was a bit more annoying). Some Internet-people are just wild. Also some Internet-people make me feel like I'm just a little bit dumber for engaging them for sport at all, especially when I know I'm not going to change any minds. (People are going to vote for who they vote for if they vote at all... I just really wish people would stop actually demonizing each other over it and acting like people who will point out "hey, capitalism is capitalism" are evil somehow because they don't feel a need to utterly worship either Dear Leader or Sleepy Old Guy, regardless of whom they plan to vote for).

apparently when Astarion is reading the Necromancy of Thay book and he says "No I won't kill them. Well maybe [character name]" the companion he mentions is always the one who has the highest approval with the player (or second highest if he has the highest approval) Lmao He is jealous. I didn't know how this works. I thought it's random but he always said Shadowheart in my game and I never figured out why.
