I like to think Kaeya and Albedo have a more or less joking deal to have a kid if Kaeya’s 25th birthday rolls around and he’s still unwed.
#hc; kaeya#hc; albedo#//Just between mine lmao#//Not really BIOLOGICAL biological; tho Kae would be down to carry Albedo’s kid if it were even possible#//It’s ALBEDO; after all#//More like taking parts of themselves like Kae’s dna and whatever Bedo’s equivalent is and making a lil creation with it all#//Bc they both want to see if it would make a viable being and what would happen from there#//Kae loved the idea bc not only does he get the kid he’s wanted; but also gets more reasons to spend time around Bedo#//And Bedo gets to ✨ Science ✨ while getting to learn more abt artificial beings like him#//Though this one actually would have a more definite biological component to it#//Both agreed that once Bedo’s had his fill of investigation; Kae would take over sole guardianship#//Theyre not certain if the process will actually work; but both are willing to see and ensure it can#//Even if both are wary of the fact that they respectively have their skeletons in the closet & ticking timebombs#//But even with that; the curiosity is Strong#//Plus Kae thinks he’s gonna be running outta time real quick; and really would love to have a kid to at least continue the family name#//He’d trust his loved ones to help that kiddo if need be#//Bedo didn’t think the age limit was serious; bc he figured it might be too soon#//But Kae doesn’t think it soon ENOUGH sometimes

ur life of lux x star trek crossover is actually the greatest thing ever
oho, ty!! ive actually been drawing more of it (and rewatching all of life of luxurys videos/trying to catch up on luxury dark), and considering maybe making it into a short comic/fic if enough ppl are interested:D
story stuff under the cut
OK SO my main idea for the story was that parker and chester were an engineer (chester) and stellar cartographer/some type of physicist possibly (parker) working in starfleet. (originally they were both gonna be from the same department but i thought it would make more sense for one of them to be an engineer in this au. i needed parker to be a blue shirt specifically so people would mistake him for a medical officer when really hes just The Stars Guy and we could have a scene like "you dont need a piece of paper to help people chester" sifjfjcj)
basically, its kind of a situation like the episode of tng where they have to go into a wormhole for Plot Reasons, but it turns out that one end of the wormhole is Unstable and they get STUCK super super far out of federation space in a tiny little shuttlecraft (well, the ferengi get stuck in that episode bc the humans have plot armour lmao)
basically the au would follow parker and chester as they try to get back to federation space, but parker is A Good Person so he keeps taking the shuttle off-course to answer distress calls to see if he can help. also occasionally they land on space-faring civilisations' planets just to like,,stock up on amenities or get some diversity in their environments so they dont go insane
every time they land on a planet, they end up in some crazy situation because theyre extremely unlucky. the lil drawings above are of two ideas i had (one of which is obviously the most recent luxurydark video but Aliems n with more of my storytelling style). i think the one with the romulan would be more like the life of luxury video where they were investigating the older brother who was neglecting his siblings? except they would be landing to try to answer the distress call of a crashed romulan ship with only one or two survivors and end up staying down there for multiple days to try to help
i do have a couple other ideas which ive been rotating in my head, if anyones interested in more of my insane ramblings shfhfjgj

Guess who just had a thought AGAIN
Gregory using an elevator to get somewhere (either by himself or with Freddy) nothing big or anything. Cassie happens to be nearby and gets such a dudden thought that its borderline impossible to turn it down. So she gives in to it and tries to do the same thing to Gregory she thinks he did to her, and tries cutting the elevator with him inside (probably with her Faz-wrench or vanni mask or both) before he can reach his destination.
Regardless if Gregory makes it out alive or not (but lbr he prolly would bc hes like a roach in that sense) Roxy being security, can probably see what happened, and likely be left with the choice of providing the evidence when others investigate it or try to cover up for Cassie by omitting and maybe? even scrubbing the evidence off the system.
Oh this went in different direction to what I was expecting lmao
I thought you were gonna say that Cassie took over the speaker system to say "Gregory... it's me. I think I need to explain a few things. You were never supposed to go to the Pizzaplex. That thing in the sinkhole tricked you. I really don't know what it is but it's been trapped down here a really long time. That MXES security system was designed to keep it hidden, but you shut down the security. Now it's free... It's not your fault. I know you did it for me. To save me... but we can't risk being followed. I'm sorry."
Lights go out. The lift is stuck in place. Maybe it starts going down or suddenly jerks down for a second, and then she just leaves it stuck there so someone else can let them out.
But no okay we're going full on murder route, got it lmao
I feel like Roxy would be the first to respond there given it's a security kind of thing she'd pick up on. She gets there and pauses. For just a second, she's back under the pizzaplex, trying to open the doors of the lift to save Cassie in the darkness, listening out for the thundering footsteps of Mimic in case it comes back...
The space between floors in the main pizzaplex isn't that big, so I don't think the damage would be as severe, especially if they got on at the ground floor and hadn't been gone up very far. Even still, this kind of incident is no joke. There's nothing you can do in these situations but hope and pray. The whole 'lie down on the floor' thing isn't even certain to help. The biggest risk if they don't fall far though, is ironically Freddy as well. If he falls on Gregory? Well... yeah.
If they're both relatively unharmed though, this is maybe a sign that Cassie should probably see a therapist... I mean it's a sign no matter what, but if something serious happens to Gregory, there's probably a lot more to consider there.
If she gives him the monologue and just makes the lift jolt before leaving it stuck between floors though, I can see Gregory yelling to be let out and Roxy or whoever answering like "What's the matter? Do you only like being in Freddy shaped metal boxes, or something?"
You know what? Everyone here needs therapy. I think they deserve it.
#pop rox answers#had an au a while back where they DID get a therapist#and the joke was that they had to keep going to their own therapist (as is required) and be like 'dude. these robots are so sad.'#'even the teeny tiny ones have trauma...' kicking the door down like 'you would not BELIEVE what they told me THIS time!!'#Fazbear Horrors being revealed via therapists...#obviously they're not legally allowed to disclose what gets discussed but it was funny at the time with the set up I had going#they could really do with that therapist again now...

this may become a sort of rant but i realised after reading your post about qcellbit that I kinda wish purgatory wasn't canon to the events of the qsmp ... like I thought purgatory would be The Event that brings everyone's individual lore together by forcing them to work together to save the eggs while also making them confront each characters association with the federation... which is why its called purgatory.
but the purgatory we got was lowkey minecraft punishment for 2 weeks. It was fun to watch! I just wish none of it was canon/had anything to do with the disappearance of the eggs
who are the eye workers? hows this relevant to everything we previously knew about the island? i wanna know if the eggs are real and alive outside the island but instead we got egg attacks with these eye fuckers which was happening with the codes anyway. sooo many unanswered questions and purgatory brought even more confusion
you are preaching to the choir nonnie lmao i don't want to be overly negative on here so ive tried to keep my complaining to a minimum but narratively i hated purgatory and yes it felt like two weeks of pure punishment. there were little to no rp opportunities, the lack of player agency was exhausting, and it felt like they were playtesting an event on server members rather than creating an event that would work for lore and be a fun event itself. two weeks was far too long, what does this have to do with the regular island, why did it have to interrupt so many people's lore, why the actual hell did cucurucho save the eggs and not the players (this one ill give some grace to bc so many people were on break and frankly i just needed the eggs back period. but it is one of the most disappointing story choices for me). i liked people getting to play together in new ways, but i wish it hadn't been so long and had been a non-canonical event in the first place. similar to the eggs going missing, i think the rp that has come out of it has been brilliant, but i think it did not need to happen this way.
for a while now it feels like players are no longer the main characters and in an attempt to make overarching lore make more sense and be more cohesive, there's been too much focus on federation npcs and the eye and cucurevil-- there's too many parties at play, and none of them should be the actual focus of the story. this is livestreamed roleplay. the server members should be the main characters. it is less entertaining and less meaningful narratively otherwise. i wish players had more agency again and there were more small, character focused bits of lore going on that weren't so focused on making sure everything is interconnected. i DO have faith that this could be the case again, i there's just been a rough patch for a bit that hopefully gets better.
also listen i do not call myself a cellbit main for a reason i watch a lot of different people and i think that's a better way to go at this type of medium. however, i think im allowed to acknowledge that for my preferred POV, which is cellbit, this has been torture. ive been avoiding talking about it because it felt like idk selfish or whatever or like I'm whining on his behalf which i don't need to do, but i think it's fair to be upset by how much this has fucked his lore because as a viewer it's been disappointing as hell (and not just for him but for other RP & investigation focused people). they helped him plan out the whole murder spree arc that was going somewhere before purgatory and then interrupted it entirely, they took away his best friend who he, atp, spends most of his time either building or investigating with and doesn't really want to play without, they did not provide any clues for finding the eggs nor any kind of investigation (until the minimes which. i don't need to tell you how that went but i can assure you it was the most negative cellbit has ever been about the server and he was still very polite about it).
i know he talked about the server moving from investigation centered storytelling to more pvp/conflict-centered storytelling, but, frankly, i don't think that's working out, especially not for him. and considering the break he's been on in part due to fatigue from purgatory i think this whole period of time has just not worked for what he wants to do with his character. i have faith he'll make it work, and i think the admin team is really good at addressing players' needs (especially cellbit who will just tell them all the stuff he wants), so i have faith in them as well. it's just frustrating considering how much it has sucked to be a qcellbit viewer for the last. idk two months if im being generous four if im not. it's hard bc im not a person who deals in idealism so i don't want to be like "i wish it all had never happened from this exact point" and i do like some of things that have come from rp post-eggs disappearing and even during and post-purgatory. so idk where im going with this anymore anyway i think there are ways to go about fixing this and making the narrative less clunky and focused on players again and allow for individual lore again, i just wish that that had remained the case continuously. sorry for the rant ill try to tag this appropriately
#asks#anons#neg#crit#idfk#i have wanted to complain about this for ages though so like. im happy to actually say all this#i keep seeing posts that come across to me as major copium and im like okay i get not wanting to be negative but we dont need to do all that#you can dislike things you just dont need to fet nasty about it#also i do not want to harp on this so dont send a bunch more asks about it#also this is me being as nice as i possibly can be despite how miserable it has been i hope that's clear#this is my ONE post where i get to kvetch as much as id like. maybe unless i decide to talk about it more

Bestie you did nottttttt leave us off like that 😭 I knew it had to be either Seokjin or Hoseok to confess to her first! I was worried that Jin would push OC away and stay distant for a while but i’m glad thats not the case. Speaking of Jin that little moment when he was texting with OC and sent her those emojis and said the cat was him was so cute I love him! Also same thing with Tae after the near kiss incident I was so sure he’d completely avoid her and tbh idk if i’m buying the i don’t remember what happened story but i’m hoping he’s telling the truth bc i cannot handle it when the hybrids distance themselves 😭
On a lighter note I will never not laugh any time Hoseok calls Jungkook and Namjoon the ghostbusters he’s such a brat lmao! I love seeing their dynamics unfold more any time we get more paranormal action. I’m curious to see what’s been haunting the Sanders family! I was thinking about how each kid must be absolutely enamored by the hybrids. For Julie it’s Jk like imagine ur mom brings some paranormal investigation group and this tall, handsome, tatted up, and pierced guy shows up to your house??? I’d come out of my room too 💀 and how Ms Sanders said her son loves wolves and how he was looking at Namjoon all starry eyed is so sweet! I can definitely see them way more open to the investigation and discussing their own experiences based on their reactions to the boys alone. It just goes to show how truly important each of the 3 members of the group are.
Ok and let me get into the smut real quick bc i simply cannot help myself. I swear Yoongi makes me want to chew on the table as well 😂 That soft dom energy he was is insane! I give so much credit to OC for not jumping his bones any time he walks into the room. Got me giggling and kicking my feet fr.
There’s so many more moments i’m sure but my little squirrel brain cannot remember them all. I swear i need to start taking notes reporting back 😂 it’s only instances like these I think I prefer wattpad’s design bc imagine how fun it would be to be able to comment on specific paragraphs in that moment. So even if i can’t recall every single moment I love, that made me smile, laugh, want to throw my phone across the room, or chew on tables at the top of my head please know that I enjoy all the little moments in each chapter and your writing is never unappreciated 🥲🫶🏻
fkjalsfjesa I'm sorry bestie!!! Luckily in the next update we pick up right were we left off with Seokjin eeeee 🥺 Seokjin was a little distant, at first, when he found out about Y/N and Yoongi, but mostly because he thought he'd never get to be with her romantically. I think after the cooking class, he just couldn't hold back his feelings anymore! AH the emojis he used 😭 he's such a cutie, just a big kitty!
Ah poor Tae blacked out... def doesn't remember the near-kiss. If he did, I'm sure he'd avoid Y/N like the plague out of embarrassment or shame :( I think he'll take some time to get comfortable with the shifting dynamics, but he's really attached to Y/N, so I don't see him icing her out for too too long.
HA I love that Hoseok is the resident skeptic. Even though he witnessed that ghost in the house, he still doesn't really get it like Namjoon and Jeongguk. Speaking of them, they've struck up an unlikely friendship with their team! I'm super excited to write their investigation scene, and find out what's haunting the family 😉 YESS you're right the two kids took a liking to each of them but gkdalgj YOURE SO RIGHT I'D LEAVE MY ROOM FOR GOTH JEONGGUK TOO. I just I'm so !!! pumped to explore this part of the plot with the 3 of them, I think it will help those two hybrids to get closer to Y/N, since they're the less affectionate, clingy ones.
OOF the smut! I'm being soooo honest I need Yoongi biblically. I'm really glad that you're chewing on the table with me,,,, I have SUCH a thing for soft doms and Yoongi definitely radiates that sooo much. Also fr I'd be in his room NIGHTLY waiting for all of that 💀
LMAOO NOT THE SQUIRREL BRAIN BESTIE!!! As for the Wattpad thought, I've been adding the chapters there and eventually when it's all caught up the monthly updates will go up there too, so if you wanna comment on specific things that might be easier 💜
I love love you!! Thank you so much for being so sweet and kind to me, and for reading Trouvaille, supporting me! Your feedback means so much, and I'm sending you one million hugs 💜💜💜

Something I’ve been mulling over bc it also stuck out to me when I first watched the season, took the symbolic reasoning, and then didn’t think too much over it. However, I think I do know the in-character / story reasoning after some time & reflection, so let’s talk about it. Or rather, let’s try to answer
Why didn’t Callum figure out the mirror?
Simply put: because he didn’t, Narratively, need to.
Let me explain.
What’s the Point, really, of Callum being interested in the mirror? We know it’s in character because he’s always in curious about magic. We know it’s in character because he already has a tendency to fixate and attach meaning to objects. And we know it’s doubly sound in-universe given that Callum knows from Rayla’s binding and the Storm Spire archway that elven stuff is hardly ever meaningless or without a deeper meaning underneath.
From a symbolic standpoint, of course it’s meant to show his parallels to Viren, even if his and Viren’s personalities and circumstances are wildly different. However, Callum has even less context for the mirror than Viren did. All he knows is that it’s something Viren has had and is seemingly elvish in design. He doesn’t know it was in the lair of the Dragon monarchy or any hint at all that it’s connected to the archmage mentioned in his father’s letter / that he has a somehow related Key.
One of the main reasons I thought Callum might go after Rayla into Xadia from a storytelling structure was because 1) we need humans in Xadia as an audience surrogate (hi all the kiddos just going into Xadia with Zubeia and Rayla to provide just that) and 2) I always thought they wouldn’t have the time for Callum to have a full fledged arc with mirror Aaravos the same way Viren had and that it could end being too similar to what had come before. (Turns out I was right because the plot didn’t have time lmao! But I digress)
Don’t get me wrong, Aaravos manipulating Callum through the mirror in terms of conversations could have worked (and I’ve written a few here and here pre season release) but that always felt like it might infringe a bit on Callum’s character for two main reasons
1) Besides Rayla being gone, he has virtually everything he ever wanted; helping his brother, a powerful mage, getting to pursue more magical resources etc. Viren only went to Aaravos out of outright desperation because he believed that had “nothing left to lose” and because he had goals he was chasing. Until Aaravos possesses Callum, Callum is a hot mess, sure, but he’s not particularly desperate. There’s no tangible way in - Callum was offered unlimited power back in 2x08 and still turned down being a dark mage. Just something nondescript wouldn’t really work this time either
2) Callum is skeptical as hell and is accordingly slow to trust, and even barring Rayla’s absence, he still had a support system of people who cared about him at the castle, particularly Ezran and Soren (and even Bait) who would keep an eye on him. Callum can be reckless and let his curiosity get the better of him, but he still listens to his instincts (2x03 with Soren and Claudia) and the people around him.
The main information Callum could’ve gotten from Aaravos, if the Startouch elf had been 1) willing and 2) truthful would’ve been details of his backstory - well before his imprisonment, as everything else (the fact that he is imprisoned, the lack of knowledge about where he is, who put him there, etc.) are all things we really knew. So it’d require more of a switch from Aaravos than Callum in a lot of ways too - elongating and stretching things out, and not necessarily giving Callum a segue into an arc where he’s actually able to start processing his feelings. And again, no desperation as a way in
But with all that out of the way, why have Callum be more obsessed with the mirror beyond the initial scene in 4x01? Why not have him investigating the cube because it’s also related to Aaravos and could communicate the same purpose? Why have it be the arguable C-plot of 4x02 at all if he’s just going to be interrupted?
Like I said, there’s the very blatant symbolic reason of Rayla’s entrance being what deters Callum from getting too close to the mirror, her halo’d by the moon figure representing the other path he’s going to choose away from the more blatant visible path of darkness (black dark magic eyes, gazing upon a fallen star, “what if i’m on a path of darkness” etc etc) in the end. I do think that’s the Surface Level reading we’re meant to have as a takeaway, kind of similar to when Rayla spares Marcos in the forest in a moment of emotional illumination. Another path.
However, I think it actually goes deeper than that:
Which is to say, step out of the narrative / audience mindset, and look at it from Callum’s perspective.
You see the six primal sources Rayla has drawn after the craziest night of your life and think of something exciting and familiar. The cube in the Banther Lodge. Conveniently on the way and free of humans. You have to go get it.
You give up on having it when shit hits the fan. You just want to make sure everyone, especially Rayla, gets out safely. You completely give up on the cube. And even though she’s pissed at you, she tosses it into your lap anyway.
It turns out that, of all the possible things and secrets your stepfather could’ve given you that you might have missed out on, he intended and left the Key of Aaravos to you. It soothes the ache in your chest. It feels like destiny, especially after a week of being lost and magic-less
You bury yourself in your work to soothe another heart break. You hate the bulk of what you’ve inherited from your predecessor. You learn how to translate runes. But no matter how much you learn, you can’t translate the mirror. The gleam routinely catches your eye. You hate a riddle you can’t solve
You have a feeling the mirror is related to the evil returning to the world due to Ibis mentioning the Fallen Star; the same way you had a feeling that the cube could help you. (A feeling that Rayla couldn’t be trusted, a feeling that the storm made you feel like it did when you cast fulminus.)
Then you cannot feel anything except numbness as your limbs and mouth move beyond your control and it’s worse. It’s so much worse.
You worry you’re on a path of darkness, that you will inevitably, accidentally, play into his hands because you almost have three times before without even realizing.
You cannot let go of the cube.
In every adjacent encounter, Callum has had a step of separation from Aaravos. He thinks and behests they make a heartfelt detour so he can go get the cube, but Rayla is the one who finds it. Before he can even know the cube is more special than it seems (although he already thinks it’s more special than Rayla does and certainly not worthless), Harrow is granting him key ;) information. He didn’t find the mirror, Viren having already stolen and hauled it back into Katolis, as the last thing Runaan ever saw. By the time Zubeia tells him what it is, it is too late.
In so many ways this exemplifies how even before Callum knew it in 1x01 for a decent chunk of the episode, the events that would radically transform and destroy his life had already taken place in more ways than one: assassins spotted, egg stolen. Harrow dead just as the narrative truly begins.
The cube is his part of the puzzle to decipher, not anyone else’s. Claudia, Viren, and Callum are all needed as equal parts of Aaravos’ plan for his pawns. For Viren, it was the staff and the mirror; for Claudia, it is the quest; and for Callum, it will likely be the cube. This is shown even in 4x01 when the two times Callum is talking about the mirror, he is Interrupted by either the guard coming to fetch him on his brother’s behalf or by Soren messing with the cube, and Callum is interrupted again by the cube glowing and then Rayla’s arrival, literally turning away from the mirror for each.
The point of the mirror and Callum’s obsession with it wasn’t to solely highlight how he’s like Viren, necessarily (otherwise they could’ve just kept throwing in the same parallels they have from the very beginning), but to show how his agency has been undermined from the very beginning and will be to the end (of S6 at least), that he and Viren are tethered by the same thing that is Worse than Death, and that while more cognizant of it, by the time Viren realized Aaravos was using his Power and that Callum was entangled, it was already, as Harrow says
If Callum had figured out the mirror and that it was a prison or even communicated to Aaravos on his own, he would be able to look back and see and know all the places he could’ve stopped, all the places he actively chose to wander down. But even that is taken away from him. Even with delays, even with self-preservation, even by both repeating and rejecting Viren’s mistakes, it adds to Callum feeling like his destiny is already written, that this path as a pawn is inevitable. That no matter how different or similar he is to Viren, there’s only one way this can end, that there are no divergences, there are no other choices - there are no safe choices except to take him out. That he will continually come back to Aaravos regardless of if he knows it or not, that his own wishes will hook him right back in, that his fate is already sealed. That it’s written in stone.
Callum has chased agency (magic) his whole arc, wanting to be able to protect his loved ones and make something of himself. However, he’s also had more agency than he was giving himself credit for even in S1, stopping Claudia from going after them, having the final say about going up to the tower or not. Thus S1-S3 is largely Callum deciding who he wants to be with the agency he has and recognizing his strengths, building his confidence. He hasn’t struggled with concepts of agency more than he has since S2, which is one of the reasons S4 mirrors S2 so heavily in how its emotionally structured for the main cast in particular. Realizing that the ability to fully commit to the choices he wants has been within him all along; that’s why he narratively gets the Sky arcanum. So of course an external factor reaching inside him and taking control is the most bone-chilling inversion of that possible.
If he went the Viren arc as a slowburn in S4, we would get the Viren S4 resolution, of Callum unknowingly giving away his agency until he has basically nothing left. If he was driven to figure out the mirror for it or his own sake, we would see him being having Claudia’s arc, falling further and deeper in with a devastating relentlessness.
Instead, we get that lack of agency on speed run to give Callum the opposite arc of having agency brutally ripped away from him, only to open up a path for him to take it back stronger than ever before. In many ways, Callum has more to lose and more at stake, the fact that he can be possessed an even greater blow now than it would’ve been in Arc 1.
Arc 1 for him was about acclimating and adjusting to Power. and believing in his own Potential .This first portion Arc 2 is about how much of a say does he have in how he uses that power, now that he’s no longer a child; now that he’s no longer free.
Callum doesn’t typically worry about making the wrong choice, however. Most of his anxiety tends to stem when he feels like he has no choice. Thus, it sets Callum up to have a really interesting arc of reconciling these dualities rather than just retreading old steps. Viren had full agency when chasing after Aaravos; as Soren says to Claudia, “Dad is dead; you don’t have to do what he wants anymore,” believing that Claudia is merely picking up where Viren left off, not that she’s steamrolling their own father into it in order to save his life.
It’s one of the reasons that of all characters, Callum arguably also parallels Zym a great deal as well. Like Zym, he’s being treated like a thing and a weapon more than a person. Like Viren believed of Zym, Callum worries he may be forced into a terrible destiny. That:
Callum being possessed is still a form of manipulation, if not also a misdirect, forcing him into a desperate position that makes him even more vulnerable to Aaravos than he ever could’ve been otherwise. But it’s a different form of manipulation than how Aaravos lured in Viren, and a different form than how he’s manipulated Claudia the past two years. Aaravos is terrifying because he knows what strings to pull, not because he’s pulling the same strings every time. For a character with such a strong breath / mouth / freedom motif, being choked / being robbed of his voice / and of his freedom is the absolute biggest smack in the face. I’ve long mandated that the worst possible thing that would rattle Callum the most would be feeling like his mind was unsafe because of Aaravos, not his body.
Callum seeking Aaravos out in S4 of his own accord is thematically / narratively opposed to the possession plot line. The possession plot line is the ‘replacement’/subversion chosen, but it’s not a bug; it’s the feature.
It also sets Callum up to have a really interesting arc of battling for control, eventually winning it (S5 and/or S6) but still losing to Aaravos, making the wrong choice or call or being forced into something anyway while he’s cognizant enough to make a choice at all, anyway. It’d be empowering and demoralizing all at once.
But still not without any hope, since, after all:
Nothing is truly inevitable. Nothing is written in stone. It is never wholly too late, not for anyone. Aaravos just doesn’t know it yet - but Callum will be sure to show him, by S7 at the very least if not sooner.
#tdp callum#4x02#s4#arc 2#analysis series#establish theme series#analysis#mage boy#callum#i cannot tell if this makes any sense but#callum not figuring out the mirror before the rug gets pulled out from under him#is the whole reason he's so freaking Paranoid in the first place#if this was the third time you'd found this kind of connection you'd be freaked too#you cannot have callum figuring out the mirror And the possession plot line for him as a character#bc it'd get too thematically cluttered#however the mirror does help set up callum's connection with aaravos later so it comes less out of nowhere and#gives us that sense of dread / curiosity#but yeah it's not a plot hole or even a bug#it's the whole Point tbh#tag ramble#insp by talks with some of my fandom friends

I think I need to know everything you have on Lord Felix lol
everything…. OH WELL UR WISH IS MY COMMAND HAVE LORE DUMP‼️
Ik you asked for Felix himself but his lore tangles with another oc of mine, Kaiden, so you get a lil bit of her lore too ✨
(uh tw mentions of death? And torture? And brutal murder? Js mentions tho not going into detail)
Felix BonaDea was a nobleman from the house of BonaDea, known for their healing magic. His mother, Gianna BonaDea, was human, and his other mother, Amaryllis, was a fairy. Now, for most of Nialon (the country this all takes place in), it's quite normal for humans and non-humans to make bebehs (lmao), but this rule does not apply to nobility. He did get everything he could want, including gender surgery (bc its MY WORLD and i say TRANS RIGHTS), as Gianna (and her husband Antonio) was not heartless. She also allowed Amaryllis a small secluded estate for her to live in. Despite this, Felix was shunned in life, and had no chance at being anything of utmost importance to... anyone, really. Or so he thought.
One day, he was walking through town (glamoured with a trick Amaryllis taught him), and stopped by a tavern popular for guards and guards-in-training. He met someone there who would make him feel less lonely, and that person was Kaiden Evania (WOOP WOOP *sitcom applause*), another alienated child shunned because of her curse. They got to chatting, and clicked immediately, pulling a prank on some bullies (>:3). Once Felix heard she was forced to be here in the capital, Vespar, because of the draft, he resolved to learn how to fight, so that she wouldn't feel lonely, as he always had. (His family let him btw they thought it’s good he’s doing smth with his life)(Amarillys did NOT agree but Felix convinced her to let him go)
The years went by, and despite Felix's nobility, he and Kaiden made an unstoppable team. They had succeeded in 'The Hunt', an annual challenge hosted by a different noble House every year. Afterward, both attended the Aquamarine Ball, which was an event where graduating guards would learn of their placement, be in the city, or a House, or the outskirts of town. While at the Ball, Felix and Kaiden were approached by Lloyd Santhuff, the leader of the Azari—a warrior unit that only take the best of the best. Lloyd was interested in the pair, and offered the both of them a place there. They accepted, and after a couple more years of training, were full-fledged Azari. They were put under the (relatively loose) command of Saffron, another fairy.
They took the Oath, which bound their souls together and let them think as if they were mere exensions of each other, but Felix thought it was bullshit and just for show. The pair (mostly Felix, to be fair) made close friends with their unit, and all was well.
They were good. The best, even. But then on one mission investigating the Nikasa, Felix and Kaiden were captured. After a few weeks of torture, Felix was brutally murdered and Kaiden rescued.
~~~
That should have been the end, right? Wrong. Felix now lives in Kaiden's brain, as the oath they had taken worked a little too well considering Kaiden's Deathless curse and Felix's enhanced half-fairy magic. He tries his best to help Kaiden through her grief, but it's a hard battle.
~~~~
phew hope that sated ur curiosity! And a little ps: Felix HATESSSSS being called “Lord” or anything like that, he finds it pretentious.

Oof first on the chopping block my favorite archon T-T (or sleep. I appreciate the followup to the curse though) I guess if he joins the party to investigate he's not as weirdly omniscient as he is in canon lol, I've been rumiating the belief that he's is always listening in the wind ever since playing through barbaras hangout and carmen dei.
I guess you'd have kokomi in enkanomiya too :) would you have someone in the chasm? And since signora would get to be an Arc Villain around her beef w barbatos as she SHOULD HAVE instead of dying pathetically before the throne, would she even appear in inazuma?
(I'm so curious abt ur sumeru rewrite bc I've seen some rewrites of inazuma but never of sumeru...if collei's powers crop up again would they mitigate her eleazar?)
Venti is my fave too, but needs must........... Venti and Zhongli's Unhelpful Refusal To Share Information They Definitely Have is one of my least favourite plot devices I hate that we almost never just ask Archons, or other immortals, questions they probably know the answers to - maybe Zhongli is under contract so that he can't, but I think it's simpler if Venti Just Doesn't Know Things because he was asleep!
To be honest, while I had planned to give Kokomi a much more major role in the AQ, she wasn't one of the characters I'd thought about accompanying the party - I mostly considered Ayaka for Inazuma. Depending on how the Abyss storyline shakes out, I wanted to push Enkanomiya back further towards the endgame so it could be a more active location... Kokomi being the reason we get in makes sense though.
The Chasm is one of the areas I wanted to overhaul considerably. I was going to set it before Inazuma, because Xiao's storyline there seems like a good springboard for him joining the party permanently. Additionally, I think a lot of the stuff regarding the Fantastic Compass is unnecessary, so I'd mash up Xiao's storyline with bits of the We Will Be Reunited quests and cut the Fantastic Compass/Yan Fei, the Arataki Gang etc.
Yelan is probably still hanging around, but it would be Xiao joining the party and Dain being mysterious and unhelpful as usual.
And yeah, I definitely do want to make better use of Signora. She'll still be present in Inazuma, but won't die there - I want to save resolving her plot for later, probably just before Venti's death. Kind of the catalyst for things getting much, much worse. Spark to a flame to a wildfire, haha. It would also be fun to have her and Scaramouche bickering during the Inazuma arc, not just waaaay after the fact in a flashback...
(Besides Mondstadt, Inazuma is definitely the easiest to handle... my plans for it are the most complete. Liyue is pure nonsense and Sumeru and Fontaine have so much bloat...
Without going into too much detail, the beats I roughly want to focus on in Sumeru;
The party wants to go to Sumeru, since it's likely to have the most information about what happened during the Cataclysm. Due to an increase in the Withering's severity, travel to Sumeru is really dangerous. (Since there's no real reason to want to go to Inazuma, I like to think that Beidou was actually trying to take the party to Port Ormos, but they ended up shipwrecking in Inazuma and got stranded because of the Storm Wall LMAO. They get there in the end)
Collei is a somewhat angry, angsty kid at this stage, since she's back to dying of Eleazar. Despite Tighnari telling the party its a stupid idea, she agrees to lead the party through the Withering to get to Sumeru. (the webtoon would've been less than a year ago.)
Reduce Dunyarzad's relevance. I want it to be Collei's Eleazar that is accelerated during the Samsara, and Collei that Nahida tries to save (though she'd succeed). I actually wanted Collei and Nahida to be friends, and that friendship motivate Collei to help save her. I actually think trying to save her would be what gets Collei to break the seal Cyno put on her powers (especially since she figures she's going to die soon anyway.)
Cyno is an enemy unit for awhile. He's a scary Matra, if the Akademiya decides that the party are criminals, why not have him hunt them down... (him being made General Mahamatra by the end of this instead of already having that role makes sense to me, along with Alhaitham becoming Acting (lol) Grand Sage.) Also, focusing on Cyno and Collei's relationship would be great.
Remix the desert storyline into having Dottore as a more major player - his labs, potential research into Deshret, that sort of thing. Playing him up then is more fun than that nonsense in Port Ormos, and Collei can meet him face to face again before the conflict in the Akademiya. We can kill one of his Segments but - uh oh!!!
Kazuha vs Scaramouche. It would be fun to have Scaramouche maliciously focus on Kazuha in Inazuma (Kazuha is perplexed and really isn't into it), and then have the dynamic reversed in Sumeru once Scaramouche commits to being a God and Kazuha gets to understand why his ~friend died smiling~ when he fights GodModeScara.
Way more focus on Forbidden Knowledge, to bring Celestia more concretely into the main storyline. I was very annoyed when Nahida threatened to wake up the Heavenly Principles and... nothing happened, with that. Given the Divine Nails are used to 'heal the land', which can include things like Forbidden Knowledge. Wouldn't it be fun if the party has to prevent Sumeru's destruction because Scaramouche's attempt to become a god started leaking Forbidden Knowledge into Irminsul.
I am forever haunted by that trailer that had Dottore burning Irminsul. Can we pick up on that. Maybe by making those damn Forbidden Knowledge Capsules relevant, or Scaramouche specifically knowing the sky is fake? Related to above.
I would like Scaramouche to not be resolved in Sumeru. He can lose the Dendro Gnosis, but go on the run with the Electro Gnosis and go full renegade. (build out kazuha and scaramouche more for later)
I wanted to adjust Nahida's character, to have her and Collei better complement each other (personality, role). I also really want to work the Aranara in...
Cyno's backstory, too, maybe? It seems a bit of a shame to have the Akademiya trying to build their own god, and the whole Ba Fragment thing be unrelated.

for the fic title game: Melt With You
oooooh okay so. edancy. restaurant au. nancy's a hostess-turned-manager, eddie's a line cook bc <3 line cook eddie <3 you know how long i've been a sucker for him lol. which means this ended up being insanely long LMAO
they've rarely had to interact bc of nancy always being front of house and eddie being in the kitchen. his first impression very much gave her Typical Line Cook vibes which she's just never had the time for. any time that she has had to interact with him, especially when she gets promoted and has to scold him over things she's overheard servers say he's been saying to them, he usually replies with some sarcastically Typical Line Cook comeback, but the head chef would rather set the whole kitchen ablaze than lose someone who works as well as eddie
anyway, one day there's a heatwave, insane even by midwest standards. and the ac is broken. it's basically a health hazard to have any kind of oven on in that kitchen, so the higher ups make the executive decision to close until the temperature cools or the ac gets fixed, whichever happens first. nancy's being diligent as always, making sure the restaurant is being left in good enough condition that they don't have to do much to get it ready next time it opens. she notices a kitchen door is propped open. not the ones the servers go through, it's one that leads from the other side of the bar - meaning it has a handle on it. nancy goes to kick it shut. she hears the "no, no, no!" coming from in the kitchen and steps in to investigate - to have the door close behind her just as she notices the inside handle has fallen off.
eddie and nancy argue back and forth for a while. why is he still here? nancy checked that everybody had clocked out so she knew she was the last one in the building. eddie wanted to do some last minute work in the kitchen to make sure he could pick up where he left off, but only decided he was going to do it after he clocked out and he was simply too lazy to clock back in. why did she not listen to his warning? why did nobody tell her the handle broke? who wants to be scolded when the weather already makes everyone feel like shit? stuff like that. nancy already bolted the server doors from the outside. so they're stuck.
anyway, the obvious thing to do is to call for help. there's a phone on the kitchen wall, thank god. except all the phone numbers are in the kitchen manager's office. which is locked. and nancy doesn't have her keys bc she didn't think she was gonna get locked in the kitchen. and of all the numbers she does have memorised, only one is another manager's landline, and they're not picking up, so she has no choice but to tell their answering machine that she and eddie are locked in and need help.
eddie eventually turns to cooling-down solutions like taking a bag of frozen peas and sticking it under his waistband. or rolling chilled bottles along his face. he offers nancy the opportunity to do so, too, and she turns her nose up, and at one point she goes to scold him for potentially defrosting the freezer room when he opens the door to it but then she stands in the doorway and it feels so good. so she lets it slide, even when eddie teases her about heeding his words over the rules
and eventually it just gets too hot to put all the effort into arguing. so they just kinda make small talk for a while. eddie learns that nancy's only so "uptight" because of the societal pressure put on her that's only fuelled more by her family. nancy learns that eddie's actually real passionate about his work, he just acts like a dick bc he too faces societal pressure as a result of his family, but he just leans into it rather than trying desperately to prove himself bc, well, why do they have to reap the rewards of his hard work if they're gonna talk shit about him anyway? and they start to realise that they're two sides of the same coin, really, and apologise to each other for misunderstanding each other
maybe there's a moment where even though they're both sweaty as hell they're like. about to kiss. but the manager nancy phoned finally gets to the restaurant and is able to free them. and the tension between them is PALPABLE. eddie even stops flirting with the servers, not necessarily bc he learned from nancy (though he did a little in terms of his work ethic) but also bc nancy's the only person he wants to flirt with now. and nancy doesn't want to find it charming, but she does start walking past the kitchen a little more frequently than she used to in the hopes that eddie's not so into his work that he can look up, see her there and make some passing comment for her to chime back to. the staff joke that they're not sure if they prefer this to them always being cold to each other. they play cat and mouse for a while until eddie bites the bullet and asks her out

I think. fontaine's writing is on the same tier/quality as sumeru's. but. on a personal level though, I like sumeru's AQ more bc dottore is a great antagonist (not some vague entity like celestia or the prophecy; works as a foil to nahida, scaramouche, and tighnari; works as an antagonist on varying levels to sumeru, nahida, scaramouche, collei; directly challenges the idea of "wisdom" which is. sumeru/nahida's whole theme; he got TWO gnoses!! like. what an effective character in the plot and narrative sense) and I think sumeru's story has an edge in that it features a character whose story has been unfolding since v1. I also think that the traveler had a more personal stake in it too, so their role in the AQ actually... mattered. like, having those 1:1 conversations with nahida and scara (scara especially, bc in the pardis dhyai scene he actually treats traveler like a character with flaws and not just a helpful hero, which yknow, is rare in genshin), actually solving the akasha samsara and defeating mecha!scara, being the sole witness who remembers rukkhadevata. I think the writing in sumeru did well in integrating traveler with the cast without making anyone else redundant. cyno, alhaitham, nilou, dehya, etc. all still mattered and had their roles that that traveler couldn't do.
I'm trying to think about traveler's role in fontaine and honestly... furina and neuvillette would've still saved fontaine without traveler lmao. lyney's trial didn't even really need to happen to keep the plot moving. furina pushed for it bc she was looking for the dramatic trial to end all trials, and she thought the traveler could make that happen because of their reputation. but it really didn't have to happen other than to introduce the player to fontaine's background. all the investigation traveler did could have been picked up by the lyney and navia. neuvillette was already solving the prophecy tablets and could have also dealt with the whale on his own. everything that happened in meropide could have still happened without the traveler (and would have actually been an interesting character development for lyney if he was the one who answered all of wriothesley's questions. which he could do. because the house of the hearth is a fatui intel group). focalors' ~500y plan succeeded. at most, the significant thing traveler did that you couldn't pass on to other characters was to gain arlecchino's trust, meet skirk, and talk with N. which could have consequences in the future, but otherwise... yeah. the lore drops were super interesting though!!
man I don't think we're getting another sumeru.

ok long text. it's about Enif. oh and Charles
SO!!! i have a lot of thoughts. Enif story has a lot of potential and i have so many ideas for her but it is kind of stressful trying to put it all into words AND not make it sound like an endless string of nonsense. but i hope this helps a little (also yes if you want to help me out with suggestions/criticism please do!)
after Enif fought Liz during that Last Ceremony, Enif ran away (obviously). although I always envisioned the ceremony to take place the night before the Nile’s Comet incident so that Enif would not have too much time to worry about Liz going around looking for her (bc she would be already dead) and go straight to processing the events and dealing(?) with trauma, it needs more explaining! so: i think Enif could have a childhood best friend (or even ex-boyfriend that ended up on good terms) who very conveniently is a cop by then (disclaimer: yeah i don’t really like cops, but this is for convenience so hear me out).
Enif goes to this childhood friend and asks for help. she’s in complete distress but still knows that she has to be very careful about what she says. she tells her friend that she discovered Liz had a cult she knew nothing about and they tried to drug and hurt her (explaining why she’s shaking and crying and covered in blood). this is true, Enif IS the victim on the whole thing, but she knows it’ll be tricky to continue with this narrative if they eventually discover her role in the cult (she hurt people, she was trained for it. one step wrong and she goes straight to jail for what she did. even if she was never willingly participating). she still urges her friend to go look at the scene. once they get there, the place is completely empty. the entire cult ran away. they even took the bodies of the members Enif killed as she fought her way out. this is both great and terrible: there’s no crime she’s tied to, BUT now she’s lacking evidence AND realizes Liz is on the run, out there, looking for her. still, the cop believes Enif. after all, a big element of Enif’s character is that she’s very lowkey when not in cult-mode, and since she only does heavy things when she’s under some influence, nobody ever suspects her of doing bad things, not even herself lmao. she stays with her friend. she doesn’t sleep that night. the following day she’s incredibly paranoid and she barely eats. this is the first time she’s dealing with knowing the truth, and all that information makes her very sick. the night comes and the Nile’s Comet thing happens. Liz Bane is found dead. Enif’s friend is sent to go look at the scene and help with the investigation. Enif wants to cooperate and see Liz’s body to convince herself that she’s dead. soon evidence proves that Liz was linked to the cult Enif talked about. still, a lot of evidence is either hidden (Liz was always prepared for any situation) or destroyed, but the cop confirms that Enif was indeed a victim of a cult, and that suffices for him to help her change her last name, cover up the case and keep it hidden from the press, and omit it from her record so that she’s not linked to the cult in the future (yaaay convenience!)
just as they are getting started with the paperwork of the incident that very same night, the klokateers appear at the police station (we know that in canon Dethklok has their own police force so i’m exploiting that). Enif is there too, they are done interrogating her and she’s resting in a room nearby. enter Charles Foster Offdensen. he doesn’t see Enif and Enif doesn’t see him, but she hears him clearly. this is their first unofficial encounter, yippee. Charles starts asking questions about the case and demands all the files to be given to him. Dethklok was directly involved so the case automatically becomes their jurisdiction and the cops can’t do shit about it lol. Enif’s friend tries hiding her file and her testimony but fails. Charles is given everything, but he assures the cops that the case will not go out to the press. it’s unnecessary and kind of embarrassing for management to realize that Pickles the Drummer was involved directly with a death cult that nearly killed the entire band and nobody noticed, so he gives his word on keeping this a secret. in the other room, Enif doesn’t know if she should feel relieved that this is going to be kept a secret or if she should be terrified of this man, Charles, who is essentially going to know and own her darkest secrets. the latter proves to be the stronger feeling, as she develops from that day a deep fear of Dethklok’s manager. she sometimes has nightmares of him hunting her down and making her confess all the horrible stuff she had to do in the cult. only time proves that she and Charles are bound to cross paths repeatedly during their lives. as allies, friends, and enemies. (i would add "lovers" too, but like in a tension-only way. they never act on it lmao)
so in summary yeah i’m adding a very convenient best-friend-who-is-a-cop to the story. he will also help explain why Enif has never faced consequences for being suspiciously involved in the death of the ex-members who have gone looking for her. yes i know this is shameless plot armor, but she essentially has a small degree of legal immunity bc she has a friend that knows a portion of what happened to her and feels sorry for her. i hope that’s not too much. and i really hope i will keep these conveniences very brief. that's all ty for reading i'm going insane!
#now i gotta think of a name for this guy#he's not going to appear more times or have a lore of his own or anything but i don't want to call him just “the friend”#also yes Charles and Enif got history !!! yippee#mtl oc#enif cordero#long text sorry#clade oc#metalocalypse oc

1, 4, 6 and 14 for takizawa!
Tysm for this, this entire reply is going to pretty much just be Takizawa because he is my poor little meow meow!
1. (Hands you a free card to ramble about whatever for your favorite character/ship)
Toss up between hidekane and seiakimon but I’m gonna go with seiakimon bc there are So Many Thoughts with these three. Akira and her two ghoul boyfriends
Obviously Takizawa need So Much Therapy before any romance stuff can happen so we’re gonna assume he’s been getting the help he needs for this (and so have Akira and Amon honestly, they’re not completely insane but they’ve got problems too).
SEIAKIMON COULD HAVE BEEN SO SO GOOD.
Taki was the only one who truly saw Akira as Akira. People in the academy chalked up her success to the fact that both her parents were investigators and didn’t acknowledge the work she herself put in. Everyone saw her as a product of her parents except Takizawa. He competed with her, not her parents and that’s why Akira liked him. He saw her as a bitch because he was jealous of her natural talent and how she often got more opportunities than him in the CCG, she got to go on missions while he was stuck in the office even though they were equally talented. And don’t even get me started on them only ever seeing each other from the side and the first time they truly look straight at each other is when Akira throws away her life career to protect Taki and lays her heart bare to him, telling him about how she tried to live up to everyone’s expectations but failed and how she never stopped thinking about him, wondering if she had just stopped him at the Owl Execution Operation. That shit hurted.
Of course we’ve also got the canon Akira and Amon, they work alright but need some more development. I really think Ishida has no clue how to write romance, every single one just comes out of left field, most prominently Yoriko and Takeomi. “Hey, haven’t seen you in a long time, nice to see you again. Anyway, you make good bread, wanna get married?” ????????
And with the right development, Amon and Taki would work well too. Amon’s closeted bi ass learning that it’s okay to be queer (thanks Donato for instilling religious trauma into this himbo /s).
In conclusion: Akira has two hands.
4. What character do you (the asker) remind me of?
I don’t really know why but Mutsuki kinda! No idea what my brain is doing at any moment in time
6. What’s your favorite piece of TG fan content you’ve made?
Hmm, I haven’t made much recently do NOT ask about my 2015 era art lmfao but I’d have to say this meme, it just fits the dude so well lmao
He's a little silly.
14. Song you associate with (character/ship)
Oh dear here we go.
So Mother Mother makes some AMAZING songs and I could write an essay on how every song in Oh My <3 fits him, but besides that, I think Control by Halsey fits Takizawa quite well!
“They send me away to find them a fortune” getting sent to fight and kill the Owl
“I sat alone, in bed till the morning I'm crying, "They're coming for me"” being scared outta his wits and writing “I DON’T WANT TO DIE” on his will
“I paced around for hours on empty I jumped at the slightest of sounds” post Kano trauma
“I'm well acquainted with villains that live in my head” listening and giving into his ghoul side
“And all the kids cried out, "Please stop, you're scaring me" I can't help this awful energy God damn right, you should be scared of me Who is in control?” Taking control over his own life and becoming a terrifying monster of a ghoul and killing Tatara while his former coworkers watch on in fear.
Gasoline works really well too!

dgm 247 thoughts: (with spoilers and pictures)
(from a French fantranslation, at this date i do not have any English translation to link to)
-For so long there were speculations about Mana dying out of an accident but the confirmation he died out of becoming weaker and weaker after Allen attacked him is... actually quite horrible. He literally died in Allen’s arms while they were snuggling together this is the worst thing ever.
-Kanda’s “hey let’s go to Mana’s grave i want to check if he’s really dead” iS SO. IT’S SO. LIKE OF COURSE ALLEN LOOKS FUCKED UP ABOUT IT.
It’s so insensitive but can’t blame him when 1) he’s fresh from having seen someone he was SURE he had killed being alive actually, 2) we know Mana is technically Alive.
but still the absolute DREAD of this moment, never change Kanda
-ABSOLUTELY LOVE that they started fighting right afterward, Allen shared the most traumatic moments of his life with Kanda in a rare moment of vulnerability and it ends with the two of them beating each other up
-oghhhh Kanda literally talking about Alma and saying how he can’t believe Mana is dead for sure until he checked because of how traumatizing it was to see Alma was actually alive, end me
-”I believe that due to the circumstances it’s possible Mana is what we refered as the Grey Zone of the war” oh my god Kanda
-Oghh the art is as stunning as ever but i’m genuinely emo over some Mana panels and Allen’s too
Mana looks so tender here
HE’S SO PRETTY HE’S SO PRETTY
also “i understand, now i’m bringing you all into all of this” HE’S NO LONGER THINKING ABOUT CARRYING IT ALL ALONE, a MOMENT OF JOY FOR THIS
-Allen’s set up the Grey Zone officially now, and while Kanda was always ready for it and Johnny too, i’m so touched Tiedoll just nods along and say “yeah ofc i’m joining i need to watch over you younglings” i’m so emo i’m so emo i’m so emo
-LINK
-OH MY GOD LINK?????????,
-I LOVE how Kanda introduces him like “i need you to meet this bastard dog first”, you can really feel the moment from Allen going “seriously i just told you i was named after a dog and you-” bUT THEN
BUT THEEEEEEEEEN
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
NOW ALLEN KNOWS LINK IS ALIVE AT LEAST
-ALLEN HUGGING LINK BC HE MISSED HIM AND WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT HIM IM FULL BLOWN CRYING
-also “i looked at Link’s face and now i’m hungry” ALLEN.
-God it’s so exciting to see the “Grey Zone” in place now, and to see Allen actually discuss everything he knows with them. I’m genuinely going to cry just seeing them in circle discussing it AND THE FACT LINK JOINED THEM........
-And now Link knows that Apocryphos killed him, not like he remembered since Apo erased his memories. that’s exiciting, this might change his opinions on his side as well godd.
-Link 🤝 Kanda “Us? in danger from Apocryphos? you mean it’s Apocryphos who’s in danger fROM US. WE’LL FUCK HIM UP” Johnny: you both almost got killed by him though. Link&Kanda: HEY NOW.
-oh they’re splitting :( Tiedoll and Kanda going back at the Order to investigate from the inside...
-... And Allen, in a rare moment of actually relying on others, actually asked Johnny to accompany him to the Campbell Mansion because only Johnny could bring him back to reality when Nea tried to erase him...
i’m so fucking emo 😭😭
-KANDA THIS EXPRESSION IS SO SCARY
-”The Crow who became a pervert, apparently? what’s your goal” WHAT DO YOU MEAN PERVERT
EDIT:
THANKS ENGLISH TRANSLATION IT MAKES MORE SENSE NOW
-LINK????????????? WELL AT LEAST LINK ISNT HIDING ANYTHING FROM THE GROUP BUT LMAO THAT HE SHOWS IT LIKE THAT????
-so yeah Link is actually super honest? he tells Allen downright why he’s here, that Lveille assigned him this mission, and that when Allen disappears he will help the 14th. like holy shit man decided i’m no longer hiding anything from Allen ever.
-ok true downside this time wtf Link why are you talking about wanting to “save Lveille” from himself and his own hatred, Link, Link look at me, no need to develop a Savior Complex Link, not for him, he’s not worth it. Focus on your Crow family please my sweetheart.
-Also wow this chapter is making me like Link a hundred times more than i ever did before, i always had a bit of a mixed feeling regarding him (that wasn’t helped by seeing fandom opinions of him tbh but that’s bc i’m super contrarian) but this chapter’s characterization of Link is... genuinely not what i would come to expect of him but also i love it??? am i genuinely starting to love Link now??? after all these years????
-ALLEN WHY
-So now they’re set in motion. Kanda and Tiedoll go back to the Order to investigate it from the inside. Allen, Link and Johnny are all headed to the Campbell Mansion to meet Katerina and get answers (so we WILL actually kick off the Bookman thingy here)
-Their goal: discovering the mysteries under this holy war once and for all Kanda and Tiedoll will try to search infos about Apocryphos as well as finding Mana’s grave and see if he’s still in his grave
-They’re OFFICIALLY setting a Grey Zone. for how long the manga has been hinting that the true answer would be in the Grey, we’re finally going into it holy shit
Conclusion: first chapter since we left the flashback, first chapter since we see the gang back together, and yet this works SO WELL. Returning to all of those dynamics are SO worth it, i missed seeing them so much, and now my blood is pumping!!! i love all that’s hinted here!!! oh my god!!!
I’m so happy with this chapter and for once in a very long time i’m VERY looking forward where it’s going
also now that Allen knows Link is alive and we know Link will travel with him: DOES THAT MEAN WE’RE OFFICIALLY GETTING CLOSER TO THAT ONE LEAK
INCREDIBLE CHAPTER MOMENT LETS GOOOO

Can we get some trivia for violinist!mc , like was she the secretly popular at school but doesn't recognise/ doesn't care about it, whats her favorite food that she mix and match from the konbini? 🥺 or is it too early for that? she sounds so precious just from the 3 posts
yes ofcccc you can get some trivia <3
it's funny you ask whether or not violinmc was popular in school bc i wrote about this exact thing in reo's POV about the time he was trying to figure out more about nagi (bllk episode nagi) but finds out that nagi is lowkey the school cryptid LMAO
It seemed inescapable, how your name would always come up in conjunction with Nagi's. Nobody knew much about Nagi, but you were somewhat of an infamous figure within the school. Popular opinion was divided. You had spoken up about some male teacher’s overly touchy ways, which prompted several other girls to speak up. An investigation was opened. He was quietly fired. Some female students admired you for your outspoken ways, while others thought you too bold. Male students steered clear of you after you had curtly turned down a confession of a well liked athlete, irritated that it had cut into violin practice. You were well regarded in the drama department, garnering fans from the few performances the school had forced you to do during the school's culture festival.
people definitely thought violinmc and nagi were dating in hs but also thought it was crazy because violinmc was considered out of his league LMAO also ppl think violinmc is kinda intimidating bc she very easily defaults into defensiveness but if that's just an act. violinmc gets hurt very easily!!!!
violin!mc gets a lot of bentos and onigiri from the konbini! sometimes she adds a iced coffee or a pocari sweat. she doesn't really cook that often and it's just easier to buy premade meals than to cook since cooking takes time away from practice. it wasn't until she met nagi that she started getting more snacks like jagariko or toppo or even some bread. i feel like she unconsciously adopts some of nagi's tastes in sweets. i'd imagine that they eat dinner together a lot. well, it's more like eating dinner at the same table. nagi is playing a game on his phone and she's looking over some sheet music, but they're doing it together and that's what counts ig 😭
violin!mc is not good at studying. nagi is a horrible tutor. every year she barely managed to pass enough to keep her scholarship but she did it! somehow. nagi would always accompany her in the library though while unhelpfully pointing out things that did not help 💀
before she met nagi when she needed a change of pace she would go to the riverbank near her house and sit on the bench overlooking the river. she would just sit and listen to her previous performances while watching the kids play soccer. after meeting nagi she just goes to his house next door and watches him play games LOL
#what is [character's] to go order from the konbini is SUCH a good question i actually love that#violin!mc and nagi definitely have a lowkey relationship = just quiet time spent together no words needed#bllk

AWRIGHT THERE PAL NICE TO SEE YA AGAIN
I am so glad that you like my OCs bc I also adore yours, they are amazing 🙏🙏🙏
This ended up super long sorry so I’ll put it under a read more
4. A character you rarely talk about?
I’m going to use this opportunity to talk about my latest OC who I’ve literally never talked about other than a single sketch I dropped. He has no official name yet (I’ve been calling him Monty lmao) but he’s a Pthumerian that came to Yharnam as part of the excursions into the underground labyrinths. He came willingly and with ease, following the scholars and prospectors who were of course eager to learn about him. His reasoning? Boredom and curiosity, essentially. He’s always been the inquisitive sort of person and loves to learn. What better way to do that than willingly reach the surface? Unfortunately, this doesn’t go too well for him and he ends up half-naked chasing innocent citizens around with a sack- the total opposite of his initial reason for his excursion. He was happy until he wasn’t. Damn the Church and Mensis! Poor Monty.
His sister is also a Bell Ringing Lady and they don’t get on too well, and he wasn’t too keen when she decided to follow suit and leave with him. However, he does care for her and tried to persuade her so stay behind. Of course, the Pthumerians were ‘encouraged’ to go with the tomb prospectors so they didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter.
His worst trait? Pretending that he doesn’t understand the Yharnam language so he doesn’t have to talk to people if he’s not in the mood. On the contrary, he speaks and understands the language fluently. I pity the scholars that tried to speak to him on a bad day lmao
9. Would you ever be willing to give any of your OCs to someone else?
Unfortunately, no. I’ve been in fandom for far too long and seen so many bastardisations of characters and I wouldn’t like my OCs to suffer the same fate. However, I am a sucker for plotting stuff with mutuals etc. and I think that’s the best way
11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a "sunshine"?
Honestly, the only one I could describe as a ‘sunshine’ is Aoife. She’s literally just a total ray of sunshine with mostly everyone that she meets and is definitely the glue that holds the band of Cleanrots together. She does have her murderous traits of course but they don’t hold any malice behind them; she does her job, and she does it efficiently. Outside of that? The loveliest person ever.
12. Name an OC that isn't yours but who you like a lot
Okay I can’t just name a single OC, I need to appreciate my mutuals’ 10/10 OCs properly.
I love your character Elizabeth and I’m extremely excited to see how her story develops in Stolen but mostly in Scarlet Butterflies, of course. She just seems like such a good person and the type of individual you’d love to be your friend.
@smoughenthusiast ‘s OC Felix is a dickhead but I can’t help but love the lad. He is indeed a murderous cleric but it’s impossible to despise him. I also adore Mathilda and her ways. I support her wholeheartedly 🙏❤️
@gehrmansbignaturals ‘s OC Phobos is also amazing and I love her lore and interactions with the world that she’s in. Her design is also lovely and her relationships with characters are so intricate and well developed.
29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they're going?
Oh god, probably all of them for different reasons. Freyja is naturally curious and also prefers to travel alone if she can so she’d definitely disappear during the night, explore for a bit and then return as if nothing happened. If he was interested, Phulgrax would stroll into the abandoned house with full confidence and zero regard for any spirits that are potentially haunting the property. He has absolutely zero fear and just assumes that he’s stronger than literally everything. Braith is sly about it, and would only go if there was something inside that she wanted. Treasure for her to sell would be the easiest way, and of course she must travel at night and not tell anyone lest she gets in trouble. Out of my Gilded Rot crew, definitely Bastian or Lithrion. They’re both exceptionally gifted in the art of stealth and you probably wouldn’t even notice that they’re gone. Bastien is curious and enjoys exploring whereas Lithrion would be looking for potential dangers that could be lurking inside.
30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?
I think the only characters I could see with stuffed animal toys would be Aoife and potentially Finlay (her childhood runebear teddy of course). However, Braith absolutely has taxidermy animals scattered around her living quarters so I guess that also counts… as morbid as it is.
I do also think my Pthumerian took a liking to a soft toy sheep in the window of a toy shop in Yharnam and took it with him because of it. He’s totally unaware of it being an odd thing for a 9 foot tall man to keep but he adores it nonetheless.
