My work for the Tokyo Ghoul pair up event with the wonderful writer @tg-headcanons !! PSYB is the best thing that happened to me this year and it helped me through my hardest time of the year so I'm really grateful.

Since we're supposed to make something based on the same prompt I decided to draw the ghoulfuckers club wedding, based on your headcanon. I have a lot of fun doing these and I'm planning to do more in the future so stay tuned!!

yep! here we go!

when I started shipping it if I did: poly couples don't really cross my mind as often as they probably should, but i enjoy the appeal!

my thoughts: no intense brainrot here, but i think they should all hold hands in a circle like normal coworkers should :] it would be a teambuilding exercise

What makes me happy about them: the ship is symbolic of their reconciliation and reconnection after the events of the anteiku raid. despite everything, they choose each other.

What makes me sad about them: they never got a scene together after rushima!!! that was messed up. it was appalling that neither akira nor amon just straight up didn't track takizawa's ass down when he was bucking up to leave.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: unsure bc i don’t read it

things I look for in fanfic: if i were looking, i’d want something that only has the ship as the ship (& relationships are a-okay) just so that i KNOW it’ll be a hard focus.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: never really thought about it, but taki/kuro is a dynamic i enjoyed.

My happily ever after for them: they travel the world and try to save people!

who is the big spoon/little spoon: akira and amon are making sure takizawa doesn’t go anywhere. idk if that is in a spoon position but that’s the goal of whatever they end up doing.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: quiet outings for coffee, since that’s all amon and takizawa can drink together with akira. it’s almost like when they went out for dinner together. almost.

THESE GUYS.

Chewing and biting and clawing at them in the most affectionate way possible I need to rip them to shreds. I can't express my feelings on this ship very articulately, they're so interesting but I oscillate wildly between barely thinking about them at all and caring about them so much. Mostly because I can't fabricate extensive narratives in my mind about them like I can for the ships I draw more frequently, I just think of little moments that come and go and I treasure each of them. "Canon no, Fanon yes" just because Ishida kind of disposed of Takizawa like a spare part he forgot to kill off before the manga ended, and there'd need to be some development or rewriting for it to work out. One of my first ships, a little less caring about it now but it still holds an important place in my heart.

Thinking about Akira and Amon helping Seidou. Just... reassuring him that he’s safe now, nobody is going to hurt him for showing “weakness” or needing guidance, that he doesn’t have to live up to any expectations anymore and is allowed to just... be. He can cry, he can need affection or reassurance and he won’t be hurt for it. Finding him a shower and letting him stay in there for as long as he wants because this is the first time in years he’s actually been able to be fully clean. Helping him give himself a haircut because he doesn’t trust anyone else with the scissors but he doesn’t know how to do it himself. Helping him find actual clothes because he’s suddenly become conscious of how thin what he was wearing was and how he’s been cold almost constantly for so long. Helping him remember that he’s worthy of being taken care of, that he’s worthy of being loved.
