I'm watching a really bad British crime drama. It may be the first bad one I've watched and it's awful.

I mean, it's objectively bad. The really subjective things like the story and stuff are interesting, but the script is bad. The format and the execution? Yiiiikes

There are so many unnecessary characters, which automatically means relationship dynamics that aren't engaging. There's many overused tropes that they didn't even bother trying to get creative with at all.

I just want to know what the conclusion is, and I'm almost tempted to just Google how it ends.

The format they're using for storytelling includes time jumps between every episode, which means the audience is completely left in the dark about progress on the case and we don't know where the fuck these developments are coming from.

Not to mention, the music supervision has been hit or miss.

Honestly, I'm fascinated at how bad it is, like a car crash I find disturbing, but at which I cannot stop looking.

FIVE DAYS TILL STARCATCHER!!!!!

Am I deep diving back into TBAGG again for the thousandth time five days before Starcatcher? Most definitely. I can’t wait for Starcatcher but TBAGG has helped me grow so much as a vocalist / musician and I’m getting sentimental about it.

I used to shy away from my break so much. When I was first learning and experimenting with my break I was told I sounded like I was yodeling and YODELING BAD. It was drilled into my head that my break was ugly and didn’t fit with today’s music. Hearing Heat Above for the first time brought about a whole new excitement as I realized I could do whatever the fuck I wanted with my vocal style and it opened so many doors for me creatively! Now I have learned to love my break and all the unique features of my voice:)

I’ve also gained so much more control in my head voice and even a couple of notes in my range since TTBAG has been on repeat in my car lol. Something I didn’t think would happen as I’ve been told I’m only a “powerhouse alto” most my life.

As far as hearing Josh’s vocal evolution, it’s nothing short of inspiring and let’s me know to never stop growing.

Even Jake’s intricate parts influenced me to pick the guitar back up bc I forgot how fun playing was. I learned things I didn’t even know I could do. And it wasn’t just me, I took my sister to Beale St. and as soon as we got home she went out and bought herself a bass!

TTBAG is a realm they created for us that I will always explore and bask in. I know we’re supposed to enjoy the art they give us but they’re also tools and I can’t wait to hear what else these boys have to teach with Starcatcher:)))
