Random Details from So Weird’s Lost (s1e12)

Kyla Pratt's appearance in So Weird was a rare instance when the guest star didn't share the screen with any cast member.

While Ned works on the bus, there's a split second of Clu and Jack playing hacky sack.

In Angel we heard that Irene and Ned were in the bunks (that Jack and Clu use), and now Molly is in Fi's bed. Apparently the kids are the only ones with rooms on the bus!

Fi's inbox is surprisingly neat compared to other times we see it. Note the *.* email on the top left and Universal Gateway across the bottom. Star Dot Star software is the brainchild of Tad Raxall.

This is the second episode in a row without Irene, and after this scene Ned doesn't appear again until the next episode.

Return to Snowy River is Kamilah's favorite movie.

Guest stars Candus Churchill and Dionne Warwick played Kamilah's mom and aunt. They shared the screen with an unidentified older actress as Kamilah, but they didn't share scenes with Kyla Pratt.

Bill is part of the reason Fi connected to Kamilah, but let's not give him much credit beyond that for saving her.

One of the few times we see Kamilah happy is when she speaks of her favorite baseball player, her dad.

i’ve never used the term ‘canceled’ before in my life but those 3 assholes from ned’s declassified need to be canceled. for them to MAKE JOKES about child and sexual abuse and then for devon to make an apology tweet like lmao no buddy yall are done forget your fucking ned reboot and good for drake on calling your pathetic asses out.

i thought about drake all day. i feel so terrible for him and i truly hope his life gets better.

I read a few of those letters. I’m reading them slowly, taking time to digest them.

I’m willing to give Will and Rider the benefit of the doubt. I really believe they were blinded by their friendship and manipulated. I believe they feel remorseful. I believe they likely worried that bringing up someone’s deepest trauma to apologize for their role in it might be triggering. Maybe they felt like dropping it is safer than figuring out how to contact the guy. And I believe not mentioning him by name on the podcast was out of respect for his privacy: this is his story to tell and if he was mentioned by name on Pod Meets World, people would jump down Will and Rider’s throats for hijacking his story before the world got a chance to see the doc.

With that being said: The inaction for all these years was wrong. Especially for Will, working with Drake in voiceover for a while. He could have reached out to make amends.

This is a huge lesson to us all. You can use your discernment more carefully. You can vow to support victims next time. You can decide deep in your heart you know what you did was wrong and feel true regret and sorrow.

But you HAVE TO pick up your mess behind you before you move onto a better path.

Unfortunately, they waited until a documentary was coming out about a twisted thing their names were negatively attached to to make a public statement about how they’re feeling about it. And Drake is not wrong to say “that really doesn’t make me feel better. You may have been remorseful for 20 years but for 20 years I’ve been haunted by what was forced on me and humiliated by the people who didn’t care enough about me to not write character statements for my abuser.”

The damage is irreparable and Rider and Will will have to live with that for the rest of their lives. But my hope and wish is that will (or already have) reached out to Drake privately and apologized.

Ngl while Victorious getting a spin off is...questionable given all the backlash Nick got from Quiet on Set, its kinda funny that despite the trio from Ned's Declassified begging for a reboot constantly in any form, Nick still refuses to go for it and instead goes for Victorious this time round.

Quiet on Set

The documentary revealed some extremely shocking details. Personally I have felt disturbed after learning about everything that took place. How did Dan not know about Brian Peck being pen pals with a serial killer? Why did Disney hire Brian after he got out jail and how many more pedos did Disney hire??? And Penelope TAYNT?? For all these years i thought it was TATE. And all of those slang terms from iCarly and Victorious such as: Jank, Chiz, Wazbag, Gank, Grunch, What the Yuck, Hob-Knocker, Skunk bag. We all know what some stand for but now that I'm an adult revisiting all of this its actually disgusting. And Alexa Nikolas has been doing an AMAZING job exposing more predators.
