Danny phased through the wall, which normally he wouldn't do but fuck it he's just had the best moment of his life, walked over to the couch and pivoted before falling back onto it.

"Girlfriend, you would not believe the absolute hunk of a man I've just met tonight." He says, a dramatically dreamy sigh leaving his lips as he slipped his eyes shut.

"And you would not believe the dreamboat of a woman I've just met tonight either." Sam, fully matching his energy, pushed away from the counter and threw herself onto the back of the couch, hands resting over it and placing her head on it as she sighed in the exact same way he did.

Tucker took a sip of his concoction of various monster energies before letting out an acknowledging hum. "Who would've thought, the key to defeating a ghost and a witch would be masked bat vigilantes."

"Oh, Tucker." Sam tilted her head back, looking at him through half lidded eyes. "You just had to be there, such beauty. Such grace. And that suit? You should have seen how it made her body look!"

"Mhm." Tucker hummed lightly, more amused than anything.

"And those muscles?" Danny let out a whistle. "Goodness gracious. He lifted me up so easily-"

"Well, granted. You aren't that heavy." Tucker pointed out.

"Oh hush," Danny huffed. "What I would do to meet him again..."

"Oh, I cannot help but agree." Sam said, laying her head back on the couch.

They both out a completely smitten sigh at the exact same time, in the exact same way.

Tucker took another sip of his unholy concoction and leaned on the counter. Honestly, he loves these two, he isn't going to lie, but man are they simps.

Knowing Danny's luck, though? He would probably meet his masked vigilante again, or at least someone associated. Sam... Well. The least said about her own methods the better.

Tucker snapped a quick photo of the two, tilted it with "losers got a crush on the bats." before sending it to a certain librarian he's made friends with.

Oh, he just had an idea.

"Honestly, I'm hurt." Tucker said, the corners of his lips twitching as he placed down his cup and put his phone back into his pocket. "To think you two would replace me for two masked vigilantes."

The way the snapped to attention would be a moment Tucker would remember and lord over them for the rest of their lives.

"Well, that's rather interesting." Barbara mused idly, looking at the photo that was just sent to her. Not exactly what she thought she would have seen today.

But. Well.

"Two civilians have crushes on two of you." She sent in the group chat.

Then placed her phone on silent and ignored it for the rest of the evening.

I was freaking out because I thought Belphie had a torn inner eyelid, but then this contact lens looking thing came out and......he's fine? his eye + all eyelids are in perfect shape.

As a former horse girl I love the Binghorses drawn by @meltedmush because every weird and cryptid suggestion and art of them just existing makes me stop and go: no wait horses will just do that. Horses are so weird. Horse behavior is so much

Horses will just stare at you through a window and if they're smart they can figure out certain doors. There is a specific kind of surreal of watching a horse walk into your house that is both very cute and cursed. SQQ could totally wake up to a Binghorse having broken into his house and staring at him

Horses also are weird and poorly designed biologically so if they sit for too long they can actually crush their organs and won't be able to stand up again. So I can see SQQ fretting over a bingfoal and asking if they're okay. Also they don't have the ability to sense being full. It is completely possible for a horse to eat too much and die. So again fretting mother hen SQQ planning special Binghorse diet only for Binghorse to come back and drop a dead bird in front of him.

It is completely plausible that SQQ can look up one day and see a binghorse sitting in a tree. Both cows and horses will climb trees. Goats too. I don't know why. They just will. The horse loose in a hospital bit is funny because horses on their own will just do that. They do just end up in places. It feels absurd but it's true. Getting jumped scared by a Binghorse totally believable.

Imagine that SQQ sees a Binghorse with a broken leg! The death knell of any normal horse. He can frett over those beautiful terribly designed legs as Binghorse is kept suspended in a swing thing.

And then the moment you combine omnivore snatch hunter it gets even funnier because I'm certain a real horse would if it could. The fact that people are in any way convinced horses are just cute and sweet and not weird terrifying little horrors of biology will never not be funny.

I have Feelings about Charlie’s dad. When Julio hugs Charlie in the car after Harry’s party? “It’s okay, I’ve got you.” Oh my god I needed that kind of parental sentiment so much when I was Charlie’s age. The times he drops Charlie off and reminds him that Charlie can always call him? So good.

In some ways Julio is a lot like my dad (nobody say daddy issues, I'm fully aware). His “background parent” role, leaving Jane to bear the brunt of the parenting choices and pressures, is so common for hetero couples still. But what makes Julio Spring different from a lot of dads (not just those born in the 50s like mine) is the way he offers these consistent, overt signs of love and care. He reaches out to Charlie, he openly worries about him, he checks in with him, he notices when things are wrong. I think it ties in with some of the other sub-themes of masculinity. He's an older millennial learning how to be a kinder, gentler sort of man, and succeeding in a lot of ways, but he's still struggling with some of the legacies of hegemonic masculinity.

Because, caring though he is, Charlie’s dad is deeply imperfect. He could really have changed the dynamic between Charlie and his mum but he chose to stay in the background. He seems to know when Jane goes too far, but doesn't really act on that, at least not where we can see. And if he is talking to her behind the scenes, it's not effective. Sometimes he's also actively part of the problem. Sometimes he doesn't notice when his kids are hurting, or he chooses not to reach out to them. It's so obvious he loves his wife and loves his children, he's so clearly an empathetic guy, but he's so ineffectual in so many ways. It's almost as if, in an attempt to lean into a kinder masculinity, he doesn't feel like he can be assertive when he needs to be, to step in when he should. (Obviously, I see a lot of my family in Charlie’s, and myself in Charlie, so I could be projecting a tiny bit…)

But even with all the flaws, those little moments of caring with Charlie are so beautiful and I think it’s really a big part of why Charlie’s recovery and healing with his family is possible. Unlike Darcy's parents, for example, underneath all the problems and the pain, Charlie's family do genuinely love and care for each other. It’s deeply imperfect, to the point that it's harmful at times, but at the end of the day Charlie is loved, and that means even when everything tumbles down there's something to start building from.

It’s so weird when people judge others based on their favorite character. “i don’t trust hu fans because they all harass people about misogyny!” “i don’t trust david fans because they’re weird!” Do you guys hear yourselves rn? Liking a fictional character is in no way indicative of someone’s morals and it’s a very odd prejudice to have. That’s a weird thing to judge someone you do not know on.

Laios Touden would eat pokémon, and like, he wouldn't settle for the pokémon that would have normal real world counterparts like magikarp, or Miltank. No, Laios Touden would be catching and eating pokémon like KlingKlang, Geodude, Sawk, and all the weird non animal based pokémon. Homie would straight up start chomping down on Blacephalon cuz he'd wanna know if it tasted like candy or not.
