Has anyone realized the parallels between Apollo Justice and Rayfa Padma Khura'in or do I have to point them out myself?

Both have father figures who raised them, whom they love dearly despite not being their biological children, so much so that both decide to follow in their footsteps (Apollo becoming a defense attorney like Dhurke, and Rayfa's whole personality being heavily shaped by her father's behaviour due to the fact that she's a daddy's girl) (The parents also deeply care for them where Dhurke still keeps a 20+ year old photograph of Apollo in his office and Inga keeps the birthday letter that Rayfa wrote him among his most prized possession in a safe made of solid gold)

Neither of them know their real mothers and said mothers are thought to be dead when in reality are forced into disguises due to circumstances outside of their control and yet both Apollo and Rayfa find comfort in them in spite of not being aware of their true identities (Apollo finding comfort in Lamiroir's voice and songs so much so that he uses it as a ringtone and Rayfa's dependence on Nayna, which when Nayna disappears (at the same time of Inga's death) causes Rayfa to be incredibly upset and barely able to function)

Lastly they're both the estranged/unknowing siblings of Nahyuta either due to the time spent apart or just cuz they didn't know they were brother and sister

yep, they are! nahyuta and dhurke are swapped! it's been a while since i've thought about aa6 in any capacity for the swap au bc, let's be real, it's so hard to piece together LMAO ORZ

it's such a swerve to go from miles, klavier, and simon to "OH IT'S APOLLO TIME NOW!!!!!!!!" in the au WHEEZES so i did think about making aa6 like, swapollo's version of an investigations game just so it'd make sense that he gets the spotlight this time.

and yea, nahyuta and co. are here (i unfortunately don't have a design for rayfa yet :^[) but from what i remember, i haven't actually like, solidified their lore in the story bc again, it's very difficult to do (i just like drawing and character design why did i do this orz) DFGHD but yea. somehow, he left khura'in and went into japanifornia with a semblance of a plan in hand and if he could, find his long-lost brother :'^)

i did think about nahyuta approaching the eaa being one of the first things he did (reasons tba pftt) but the idea that he's your co-counsel in the 6-2 is really fun! i do remember switching out the prosecutor in this case to apollo, just for the added trucy angst (bc she still is the one who gets accused in this), and bc of "uh oh what's this!!! my long-lost sibling on the other side of the courtroom!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!"

as for dhurke, i haven't built a lot of lore stuff for him yet (bc i cannot remember aa6 lore very well DFGHD) but just. the switcahroo trick of him being gone the whole time? very fun. you know who else had a switcharoo moment in aa6? hey hold on, why is nayna not here in this au?? why is dhurke's hair lavender????? anyways :^]

cus nayna and amara definitely have different face shapes and everything. i genuinely have half a mind to just draw nayna w amara's hair and everything bc this is stupid

Nahyuta was beyond anxious. His hands had been fumbling with his beads, barely-comprehensible prayers spilling out of him with each wary step he took. Please, let Amara be alright...

He'd practically turned the entire place upside-down whilst looking for her, walking with more speed the faster the clock ticked ominously.

Initially there was no sign of her, no indication of either the former queen or her disguised form anywhere in any of the rooms she frequented, however in one a note was left out, clearly in her handwriting

Aside from that there was no sign of any disturbance or struggle…at least not in the room the note was in

i think a lot about rayfa immediately post-soj....girl who suddenly has to deal with the fact that the parents she knew were never really her parents at all. and ga'ran may have sucked but inga loved her so much and nayna was her real mother all along and prosecutor sahdmadhi was her BROTHER all along and also there's this weird red horned guy who is. also dhurke's son. who's sticking around too. and it's gotta be so overwhelming because she doesn't truly know any of them at all (with the exception of amara, maybe, but amara could never be fully honest with her up until now) but they all want to look after her—if nahyuta and amara's Entire Thing wasn't enough, apollo took one look at her during the goddamn trial and started saying shit like "I'd be happy to lend an ear if you'd ever like to talk" and "How about we all go on a picnic together or something?!" and she has to deal with this while also contending with the fact that the people she called mother and father her whole life were the same people that ruined all of THEIR lives. she said that she would've liked to talk to dhurke and given that amara can channel spirits she theoretically COULD but. she can't even call nahyuta her brother yet. so i like to think that maybe she pokes around at the three of them for stories instead. like she asks amara for stories about how she and dhurke got together and she asks apollo for stories from his and nahyuta's childhood (because his constant reminiscing during his investigation segments clearly show that he didn't forget as much as he probably hoped he did, growing up) and she asks nahyuta for stories from when he was a teenager and. slowly. she comes to terms with all of it. somehow
