I am really disgusted by the lesbophobia tbh.
It really seems like the second a lesbian talks about straight relationships and their power dynamic and danger, some women jump to compare it to lesbian relationships and how they're being treated by society and how that is ~exactly the same~ as like 5 or so women on tumblr calling you dumb. Get the fuck over yourselves.
I am also saying women are not considering their own safety when we get into partnerships with men. I'm also saying we make bad decisions. It's not just lesbians saying that.
And even if it was, that does NOT excuse homophobia?

AHHHHHHHHH, I submitted a short story about a shitty man who resurrects a dead race horse because he wants to sell its semen, and this was the magazine’s response

Reminder to all:
Idk about petty fictional ship wars but if it's devolving into wishing AIDS onto one of the actors you've passed the "too far" mark by miles.
That's not funny.
That's not even petty.
That's cruel. That's awfully cruel.
The fact we are two months away from FT and you lot are already thinking to wish that on someone who you'll likely have their character die of that abhorrent disease (because canon change from book) and you already finding it funny to use it as an insult over FICTIONAL SHIPS THAT DON'T EVEN CROSS OVER.
That's just nasty and undeserved. It makes me sick that people think that's ok now. Be happy the thesis is done and dusted or it would have been solidified in writing.
I'm speechless
Be happy I refuse to get involved and it's an anon or I'd have found who/what group sent them and be sharing it with fellow "catboy" stans because you need to never find that okay ever again. It's not funny.

people write sports rpf because ultimately sports are heartbreaking. it does not care for the narratives it itself has set up. and one writes rpf because they try to say that, well, there was love. love will always be there. maybe the team failed, and maybe they’ll never see each other again but there was love in the meantime

slut autism is a curse because i was designed in a lab to reach pure sensory ecstasy during sex but actually having sex in these wacky modern times requires constantly responding to messages on a piece of metal that doesn’t feel real to me and i suck at it so bad so idk. if you want this pussy write me a letter

fr we as individuals need to learn how to say this thing is not for me, I will move on to things that I find enjoyable. it frustrates me so much when people are mean over INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATIONS OF FICTION??????????????? the entitlement? in fanfiction??? how do you even cognitively justify being an asshat to an author like that??
just saw a tiktok of a guy saying "Me when I see a fanfic that mischaracterizes my favs so bad that I actually have to comment and tell the author to never write again" with the sound "i love the way it feels to be a hater", and I opened the comments expecting people to be like "haha yeah, but don't do this" or like "okay but never comment hate on fics because people are writing for free and out of love so...", etc. but the comments were full of people admitting to absolutely heinous behaviour.
someone said: "that time i hated a fic so much I bookmarked it and filled the notes with an angry paragraph about how much I hate it", like, what? in what world is it normal and acceptable to do that? and that's just one of the many examples.
I mean, there was a lot of joking and exaggeration but also people have done this, people do this. idk it's so bizarre to me that you would actively read something you don't like (after reading the tags and author's notes), to then write paragraphs upon paragraphs of hate, that is directly sent as an email to the author
honestly, if I got something like that in my comments or bookmark notes, it would really affect me. someone going "never write again" or just loathing what I wrote, I'd feel really bad.
just idk, have some empathy. you can exit a fic, you can block the author, you can hate silently, or even pour every ounce of hate out into your friend's dms or a journal or something. just why would you actively hate on someone who is providing entertainment for free and for fun?
strange behaviour

As per usual, it’s DP crossover with (probably) DC, although you could probably adjust it for other fandoms
ANYWAYS
A little kid and his mother are trick or treating in another city, perhaps at some kind of event rather than knocking on doors, and the kid is dressed as Phantom. It’s very adorable, with his little ghost-shaped bucket and clearly homemade and already stained costume—listen, white only works if you can just fly over street grime or phase it out of your clothes—and his slightly I’ll fitting wig. The kid is SO happy to be out and about dressed as his favorite, and maybe even showed it off to Phantom back in Amity Park before his family left.
The hero, insert whoever you wish here, is probably in civvies and just enjoying the event. The kid, meanwhile, is so glad when people ask who he is so he can explain, and so- the hero gets to hear ALL ABOUT the local town hero who is probably pretty small time despite the kid’s clearly exaggerated stories. The hero certainly never heard of him, but the kid’s mom confirms that Phantom really was the town hero, despite some mixed reviews of the poor guy.
“Did you manage to show him your costume?” the hero asks.
“Yeah! We went down to the cemetery to leave flowers and I got to show him my costume.”
Wait. Cemetery? Maybe it was part of theme, because Phantom had to be named that for a reason, but… it sounded like…
The kid ignores the suddenly VERY still hero and instead turns to his mom. “Momma, do you think we should bring him candy? He doesn’t get to trick or treat like we do, and I can work super hard to get him a bunch!”
The kid’s mom just smiles. “We could, but maybe we should bring him something homemade. I bet he’d like something more filling, teen boys like him have a hollow leg.”
The kid wrinkles his nose. “Like Vernie with the pizza bagels?”
“Like your cousin, yes. We can make some cinnamon rolls and take them to his memorial, maybe bring some of the apples from your grandpa’s garden…”
The hero is pretty much forgotten as the two-part family wanders off, not quite intentionally forgetting the hero is there so much as the hero somewhat accidentally ended the conversation when they just froze and didn’t ask anything further.
Not that the hero didn’t want to. But they’d learn something very serious.
One—there was a small town hero they’d never heard of. Two—that hero was apparently a teen. Third—most pressingly, the teen hero was both beloved enough to have kids dressing up as him and dead enough to have a grave.
This… might require some phone calls.
#dpxdc#danny phantom crossover#meanwhile Danny. sitting on a giant marble slab that has the most ridiculous gag gifts a ghost could ever ask for#he’s just like Oh Sweet Cinnamon Rolls!#he would try to convince people to bring him nasty burger but while val has MOSTLY gotten over her vindictive anger at Phantom DOES decide#that she’s gonna be petty and add cilantro to everything#because Danny has the cilantro soap gene#jokes on her he’ll still eat it#Danny likes his little memorial in the grave. it helps settle him sometimes. also he’s gotten to know the security guards for the cemetery#they’re fun. a bit morbid. they LIKE his jokes so you can stuff it JAZZ#MEANWHILE the hero. Whomstever they are but like 90% of you are thinking either batfam or Justice league#are having just. a TOUCH of a crisis#now they gotta figure out where the kid and his mom are from without either of them figuring out#dealer’s choice on what the GIW and why Amity Park isn’t on the radar#I’ll add my two cents bc when don’t I but I’m by and large not like… dictating this? anyways#I like making the GIW just a BIT more incompetent or just having some massive flaws as an organizational group#so they keep forgetting to tell people to not LEAVE and to keep quiet#average amity Parker if the GIW tried this anyways: aw that’s cute. anyways-#and if it’s dc I guess you need to figure out how the jl never found out. so#i mean there’s a LOT of heroes and cities in dc#and amity park is just lost to the noise or. bc Fenton bad luck#every time Danny tried to call. the jl had some insane disaster and or their systems were down#he eventually figured he might actually be cursed- jury’s still out on that -and he’s saving lives by just handling it himself#he can handle rhe metaphorical mega thunderstorms if it means he doesn’t accidentally summon a fucking tsunami to hit the planet ya know?#the kid and the mom have no idea that what they said was Odd#they are just so used to it. amity park already was using death puns and had an. interesting history and relation with death#even BEFORE there was a dead kid flying around in his white gogo boots

With the puberty blocker ban taking effect in the uk, it’s important for perisex trans people (who are, of course, rightfully hurt and upset) to not attack cisgender children who can still access blockers.
A very high proportion of these children are intersex individuals coerced into hormone blockers or hrt by their doctors to ‘normalise’ their bodies. It’s not for health purposes, but for the comfort of people around them. I went through precocious puberty myself and was tricked into taking hrt after I was promised it would help with chronic pain relating to my intersex variations. I was eleven years old and unaware of what changes taking hormones would make to my body. The doctors did not tell me anything. It was not a privilege for me to be prescribed medication that would non consensually alter my body to better fit the sex binary.
Be angry about the ban. It’s unjust and disgusting. But the transgender and intersex communities need to be united. Our struggles for bodily autonomy are inherently linked. Stopping transgender children from accessing blockers while continuing the medical coercion of intersex children has one goal - enforcing the sex binary. We need to challenge and oppose this at every opportunity. Sex abolition now
