Can I request Arthur pendragon with a gf who has the same personality and powers as Ochako Uraraka?

Wasn’t sure if you wanted NNT or 4koa Arthur, so I did a bit of both. Man, Nakaba give me my sunshine back :(

First off, he absolutely adores you. From your face, hair and down to your abilities. Everything just simply fits you so well, and he could never stop appreciating the notes of it. He will on end never stop lovingly complimenting you, be it for something as small as a gift or something as big as ending the battle. You are so very dear to Arthur's heart.

Arthur easily recognizes the full extent of your power; Zero Gravity. He both admires and fears it, and Arthur hopes that he will never incur your anger with the usage of Zero Gravity. But otherwise, he praises your fearsome power at the most appropriate times, though it almost gets sickening to others in Arthur's vicinity how affectionate he is towards you.

You two are complete match towards one another in various ways; warm, lively, and rather outgoing. Arthur doesn't really view himself with such traits, but he sees them quite a lot in you. Even in the tougher situations, you still manage to persist to be kind and keep everyone's interests in mind for the sake of survival.

As you wouldn't hesitate to protect Arthur and any other, he doesn't hesitate to do the same. You always try to protest that he does not need to protect you, but he wants to, it's inherently in his nature -- he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't.

Nothing goes unnoticed by you, which is why your usually the first to understand or see that Arthur may be upset about something. He is surprised you do, every time, even if he wants to hide it; you always seem to drag it out of him.

when you take on a more intimidating and calmer, focused demeanor. It almost shocks Arthur, but it was not the first time he had seen you this way, yet it never fails to shock him when you do. As he is more used to seeing you so bubbly and cheery, more so determined as well.

Arthur can notice easily when you yourself are gloomy, which worries him greatly. He takes to merely comforting you, and help working you through your troubles. Arthur knows one simply shouldn't say, 'You can do this, your strong!'. Sometimes all one can need is help and comfort, without having to display such a strong look for a mask.

Nasiens and Kiane Parallels

So... there's this post that made me want to reread 7ds and 4kota solely for the purpose of finding parallels between Nasiens and Kiane and I found some.

Popped Collars

This may just be a coincidence since there are multiple characters that has popped collars in their outfit designs but there is something I found interesting here.

There have been four Nasiens drips so far. We have his initial drip, the one that Anne gave them, the one that the crew got from Liones, and his time-skip drip. Out of those four, there are two that have popped collars. His initial design and his time-skip outfit.

We saw him wear this specific design motif in his home and homeland.

Looking back in 7ds, after King got his full wings and his outfit design changed, he has a popped collar. Even in the two different designs Nakaba gave him in 4kota he kept that popped collar

When Diane had her outfit change in Season 3 she wore something with a popped collar and her current outfit has a popped collar as well.

Again... maybe this is just a coincidence.

In a sense, King's pants make sense design-wise. His Sin tattoo is just right above his ankle so in order to show it his pants need to look the way it does.

In total, there have been three instances where Nasiens's pants stops right below his knee, just like King's.

Condensed Power

This is the part where I may just be looking too hard into things but like... the way Nasiens does this just has the same vibes as Condensed Power. You know that thing that King did that one time that essentially thought Meliodas Trillion Dark, yeah that.

Nasiens and King are first introduced with an antagonist-type energy

The first time King shows up is when Gilthunder is talking to him about the other Sin's movements, there's an implication that they are working together and since at the time Gilthunder is already established as an antagonist the idea of King possibly being an antagonist too is placed.

These two panels are the only ones actually shown in the anime. A post-credit scene too and in the manga there's more to it. King seems independent, and he has his own motives and doesn't want anyone getting in his way. If anything this shows King as a potential threat to both the Holy Knights and the Sins.

Then, the first thing King did was try to kill Ban so yeah.

In Nasiens' case, the fairies of the Gorge hyped him up to be a bad guy and his appearance and actions matched this.

I hate Guinevere as much as the next person but omfg if Nakaba doesn’t stop sexualizing her I’m going to throw hands. This new episode made me think back about how weird Nakaba is with young characters.

Like no. This is NOT okay, I don’t care that Lancelot and Guinevere are supposed to be together, cause I know there’s nothing I can do about it. But it’s genuinely disgusting how many people know how weird the ship is and still ship it, and don’t even try to age her up. Nakaba thinks he can throw the same ship dynamic at us over again and think that it’s still okay.(Elaine and Ban, but this time a girl looks young and is actually that young 😐) I see people on TikTok still bashing The Seven Deadly Sins for its weirdness and I know I can’t defend it. Elizabeth’s and Meliodas’s relationship is WEIRD. But what gets me the most on it is how is this world 16 is more adult then how 16 actually is (does that make sense?😭) But, no matter how much Nakaba tries to put a spin on it by going: “Oh Elaine is actually over 100 years old, she just looks 12!” NO BROTHA!! I saw a TikTok discussing how even though Elaine is over 100 she has the mental state of a 12 year old because for fairies getting your wings is like puberty basically. And when Elaine gets her wings she’s physically more mature and mentally, so that just proves no matter how old a fairy is they need to be mentally mature too. And that does NOT help Nakaba’s situation. And for Guinevere I know I hate on her so much when she’s not the one to blame, it’s Nakaba. Her potential is so great, and how much it pains me to say it but, her and Lancelot’s dynamic work! In fact, I love ship dynamics like that! She’s sweet and cocky, she knows what will happen but can’t say anything about it! She has personality! She has so much potential, her ability is so neat, being able to see into the future so clearly and knowing what gonna happen, and knowing what’s gonna happen and knowing you can’t do anything about it is amazing writing for a character! That must be so mentally draining, nothings a surprise to you, you know when you’re going to fall in love, when you’re going to die, tell me that’s not a well written character! And she plays it off by being cocky! I love that! Her design is nice! It’s cute! but why couldn’t she be older?! Is it that hard to make a ship that isn’t fetishizing a young girl?!

Anyway that’s been on my chest a lot lately, sorry if some of it is hard to understand, or it’s kinda everywhere. I feel very passionate about this so it’s making me yap without properly transitioning to a different subject (?) so I kinda just put down what came to mind lol. And on a semi-separate note:

At last, I am back again! Surprisingly, this one took a while, but here is the new and improved Gilthunder! I bet you didn't quite expect this one, because I sure didn't.

Gil's design was fine, before, but I decided to make some improvements. His hair is now far more wavy/curly, slightly more reminiscent of how Zaratras' curled towards the bottom, and also has that slight lightning shape since that's his whole thing. I'm a little unpracticed with curlier hair, especially when trying to emulate his original hairstyle, but I'm sure I'll get better as time goes on.

Speaking of lightning... I do not care if it's magic, you shouldn't be wearing a full suit of metal armor when messing with literal lightning. So, I gave him an outfit slightly more reminiscent of English royal guards, with less metal to electrocute himself on, and a better design to absolutely slay on the battlefield.

Gil's characterization via his design is driven by colors this time around; he has no choice but to follow orders and stay in line, with constant eyes on him, so he has little room to express himself through clothing like other characters. The blues are cool and calming, giving an outwardly calm and collected demeanor; this includes the more neutral whites, blacks, and greys, like his cape. The underside of his cape, though, is red, angry and passionate, and filled with love; emotions he is more forced to keep to himself. The purple sash is also a part of himself peeking through since Gil, when not under the threat of the Holy Knights, wears a lot of purple.

Also, didn't ya'll say you wanted Gilthunder angst? You didn't? Well, too bad, because you're getting it anyway! You're telling me this kid's dad was brutally murdered when he was 11, and yet his only emotional storyline revolves around Margaret? Sure, Nakaba, sure... In this house, we let the guy miss his dad.

Anyway, that's Gil! I wonder who I should do next... maybe a certain green Fairy? Let me know what ya'll think!

Myrtel deserves to be rambled about

It seems to me like Myrtel being human is something everyone in his family knows but doesn't talk about. Like it's obvious but "forbidden" to bring up too openly. Looking over the Chapter 140 page when Tioreh mentioned mullein pills...I think she didn't mean for Nasiens to realize the truth. All she said was humans need to take them regularly as long as they're in the Fairy Realm. She didn't mention her oldest brother at all--not once in this entire chapter, even.

And when Nasiens figures it out...she looks so sad. It reminds me of the look King and Diane gave Nasiens a couple chapters ago.

Ik there's a lot to unpack in those looks, but in one part of it, they all must be worried about Myrtel. He's a part of their family, but as long as he lives in the Fairy Realm, his health may turn even worse. I'm sure none of them want to tell him he should move to Liones or somewhere else in the Human Realm for his own wellbeing, either, because what would mean saying you don't belong here. No matter how they could put it, that's how it'll feel.

I'm worried for him too. I really hope the Camelot guy who showed up at the end won't convince him of anything...but that's probably what's going to happen. They're probably gonna be the one who say you don't belong there and dig even deeper. And that cloaked mf has a chaos staff. Chances are that's going to be used...

Myrtel knows his parents loves him. He genuinely cares about the fairies and giants in the Fairy Realm. His sword-fighting skills may very well be self-taught, and he chose to learn them so he can fight for his people. But he knows he's not like any of them.

Also, remember when he warned his parents about trusting humans?

He's the one who brought up humans as a problem. Something to distrust and avoid. I wonder what that says about how he views himself. To him, is he an exception to most humans or destined to be treated exactly like them by his own adoptive siblings and parents?

I want him to stop fearing getting replaced. I want him to be happy. He deserves it. Please give King and Diane's totally-changeling son a happy ending Nakaba 🙏

the sins helping gowther who is literally like a baby emotionally and gets scared a lot-

YES!!!! I love Gowther content!!!!

I’m gonna do this by character because I want to add a few points to each

Meliodas

-when he hears him scream or cry he’s very nonchalant, will be like “You good?”

-Will run his hands through his hair and calm him down by telling him that the seven deadly sins are all here to help him

-Would definitely sit down with him and talk him through it all, help him ground himself and tell him about how much everyone loves him.

-He’ll often check his room to make sure he’s all good and see if he needs any support.

Diane

-His new mother. She makes sure he’s fine constantly. Let’s him hang out outside with her while she sleeps so he’s not alone

-If he gets spooked she will take him away from the situation and talk him through it all.

-Will try to take his mind off his worries by letting him try on her human-sized clothes and dresses. They have a little fashion show where only Hawk is invited (the equivalent of rupaul of the nnt universe, nakaba suzuki told me himself true and factchecked)

-She will pick him up and put him on her head so that he’s far away from whatever is spooking him and close to something he’s comfortable

Ban

-Ban does NOT know what to do in this situation. He’s not grasped Gowther and his emotions yet. He’s like “Heyyy bro… don’t cry… cmon man,” and gives him the most awkward hug

-He absolutely does care about him he just doesn’t know how to show it. He can’t exactly cook for him. He does let him spill all of his trauma onto him and he’ll offer a shoulder to cry on for him.

-He will steal books for him as gifts because he knows that he likes those and they make him feel comforted. Once wrote him his own book that was really badly grammatically wrong and had the worst drawn pictures in it and Gowther loved it because it was His.

-He’ll stay up all night if he needs to stay up with him to comfort him through his stress, just to make sure he’s ok.

King

-Quite apprehensive at first, unsure of whether he is genuinely upset or if he’s gonna be like “wahaha this is a social experiment i have no heart”

-Once it becomes apparent to him that he’s 100% serious he will try his absolute best to make him comfortable. He’ll take him out to bookshops on days he’s so down in the dumps he doesn’t want to leave his room.

-He’ll offer his pillow to him so he can hide behind it

-He’ll reassure him that everyone is here for him now and that things won’t go back to how they used to be.

-Gowther often gets upset about how he hurt the group and King has to reassure him that it’s all in the past and the fact that he’s able to feel guilt over it now shows he’s truly a better person

Merlin

-She knows about his creator and has been told about his past, so she’s able to source his feelings and comfort him

-She’ll let him sit in the room with her while she conducts experiments so that he can feel nostalgic over Goatdad

-She asks questions about Nadja to better understand her. Not the type of questions that would trigger trauma but the type to make him look back and smile.

-She’ll ruffle his hair and kiss him on the head since she still sees him as something like a little brother to her.

-She hugs him while joking that it was either feeling these emotions or going back in the stuffy armour.

Escanor

-During the night he will fetch literally anything he needs. Handkerchief? Books? He’s got it

-He’ll ask him to proofread his poetry to get him to take his mind off what he was originally anxious about

-During the daytime he will be hesitant to show he cares but he truly does. He’ll show it by asking him to come along hunting or asking about Merlin in the past. Things to take his mind away from the pain.

-He deeply respects Gowther and would do anything to help him. Always talks him through crying fits and helps him ground himself. Reminds him that men are allowed to feel (even though he wasn’t even aware of the norm of men not being able to show emotion?)

Elizabeth

-Always prepared to hug him!!!! She doesn’t know him as much as she knows the others but she’s so willing to help him out!!!

-She’s aware Nadja was her auntie but doesn’t want to pry him out of fear she’ll cause him to cry

-Always wiping his eyes and clearing the tears from his glasses because though she doesn’t know him well she still loves him!!!

-Asks him to tell her about the books he’s reading in order to show an interest in him and let him know she cares

-Like Meliodas, she also makes sure to check on him!!!

Mine rewrite actually does change a lot but first saga isn't changed a lot.

TIGI'S SEVEN DEADLY SINS REWRITE SO FAR PART 1!!!

So the plot, it actually starts the same, Elizabeth meets Meliodas, blah blah blah but Meliodas doesn't grope her, in fact he's just pretty much friendly to her without all those creepy SA things (god thanks NNT isn't 18+ because Nakaba is a weirdo).

And also a moment, there's extra context of usurpation of power in Liones: holy knights are vassals for foreigners (saxons, angles and jutes).

Diane firsly yes had a crush for Meliodas BUT GUSH PLEASE make it less cringeworthy like seriously there's no need to be so bad. It's actually okay to have crush on someone but yes.

Also I think it would be good to add some scenes of Gillthunder where he shows that he actually not very happy to be a part of this tyranny but for some reason he is

For Ban there should be more context why he did allow to chain himself. Sooo... IT'S EXTRA ANTAGONIST TIME, he was deeply scarred by Baldour, the strongest warrior of foreigners and right hand of Hengist and Horsa, also their gray cardinal and the one who's not what he pretends to be. So he only unchained himself when he understood that there's his crewmates.

Also I DO BELIEVE that Elizabeth yet not very good as warrior but she has some self defence skills since she's a princess and only reason why she wasn't trained properly it's because Hendrickson and Dreyfus (or Fraudrin) were afraid of her potential, as much as Baldour.

As closer Meliodas becomes for Elizabeth the more flirty Mel is (also Elizabeth age was upped to 20)

And theeen... Here comes the bigger plot divergence! In my AU King firstly thought that it was a accident where his sister died and Ban couldn't do anything, which is really sad and King was upset about Ban but who's King to judge? He let his friend go wrong way, very very wrong way and then let him die.

But then he was convinced by Baldour that it was Ban who killed Elaine to get the fountain, even shown the vision of diverged scene. And even convinced that Meliodas knew everything

(also no scene where Ban mistaked a child with Elaine. Elaine still petite but more in Melascula way, like, you still can tell that she's adult like in human scale around 18-22)

They entered Ghost city by the grievance of TWO (atleast there should be TWO with deep grievance who's not related by blood)

So... Firstly it's King & Guila vs Mel, Ban & Diane and fight is hard and Guile using her explosivos more creatively. Until fight os interrupted by ghost of Elaine, she protects sins from her manipulated brother and holy knight. Elaine still saves Ban from being the statue for eternity like in canon but unlike canon King can see her. Then Guila is overwhelmed even by two sins (I think it's weird that she dominated them while sins are like... LEGENDARY?? And she didn't drink a lot demon blood)

And then they see the strange sign

Little confrontation of Baldour himself against sins and Elaine, Guila is dismissed since she proved the success of newgen holy knight programs. Baldour not getting damage, dominating even but he kicked out from Ghost City into the middle of nowhere (still Britain).

Also, tournament arc starts almost the same but sins know why Diane wears Elizabeth's clothes (shrinkshroom goes brrr).

Veronica believes that she truly protects her sister and thinks she'd be better bring her back by herself than by others or by germanic tribe forces

Also instead of weird ahh appearance of Jerico and Guila they'd be in crowd. Why bomb citizens if you can capture criminals in ambush? Also Helbram appeared faster because tactics. Chaos, mayhem, WTF is that form, King is feeling guilty because of Helbram.

No changes in Gauther arc besides Elizabeth accidentally uses purge on monster before throwing Liz's sword to him.

No weird argue between Hendrickosn and Dreyfus about releasing demons because they're both manipulated by Fraudrin. But there's argue about new generation because that's no way for Liones to break away from germanic tribes.

Sins are ambushed by holy knights and Vivian without insta teleportation. Because TP is OP, more like attacked, gas, and then run away (Golgius with them, his invisibility is really good for this)

Raid on Liones in my mind goes mostly the same but Gauther don't overpower physically Dreyfus, he just breaks him down mentally for a moment and then stops him magically. But there's mentioned informantion that Hendrickson wanted to use grey demon's blood to form an army against germanic tribes so he would be able to defeat Horsa, Hengist and even Baldour.

But things comes canon way in raid

And than some additional info

Germans as new side of conflict because it's Britain of IV-V centuries, the moment when germans and celts started to fight. Hengist and Horsa are legendary figures who lead them

For Diane I prefer imagie this design

Instead of WEIRD flying stingrays holy knights are using griffins

The ranks of holy knights are based on animals instead of gems and metals (Great Holy Knight > Dragon Holy Knight > Griffin Holy Knight > Lion Holy Knight > Bear Holy Knight > Wolf Holy Knight > Boar Holy Knight)

Meliodas casually dropping “you are my purpose in life” to Elizabeth like a month after they met is INSANE. Bc from his side, makes sense. Fell in love when they were young from opposite sides of a war, risked everything to be together, have been finding and losing each other for 3000 years. But from her side, he is a cool guy she has a crush on (who is at least 15ish years older than her) who she might have known as a child. He also just described her as his entire life’s purpose. Like bro THATS CRAZYYY

Seeing Meliodas destroy the horn of cernunos is such a badass moment to me. The way he responds to her taunting with direct action and violence rather than his usual merciful beating around the bush. My favorite Mel moments are when he is using his silly goofy little guy façade and suddenly has to drop it. This is when we see a glimpse of who he was when leading the 10 commandments: arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage

it just so happens that arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage are my most prized qualities in any character

okay, so,,, i got back to reading 4kota, and i have so many thoughts of literally every nature

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR 4KOTA, NATURALLY!

okay so, allow me to rant a lil

bro why the actual fuck is Arthur just magical hitler now?? 😭 like hello???? it genuinely makes me really sad because he was such a sweet and likable character for most of 7ds and now he wants to create an ethnostate for humans only???? it just breaks my heart, man

SAME WITH JERICHO LIKE HELLO? QUEEN, YOURE BETTER THAN THIS. genuinely tho- nakaba try not to make all your characters pedos challenge (impossible). there are literally so many other ways in which Jericho could have ended up in a similar situation, but nakaba really just chose pedophilia? it couldve been something along the same lines just without the romantic attraction!! a family bond can be just as strong- and it couldve been something like her losing Lancelot or in some other way letting him down, and then thinking that he despises her and holds onto that grudge (which, judging his character it wouldve probably been a small spat that he got over) - but maybe Jericho didnt understand that, or wasnt ready to face him, expecting him to be livid - so she asked for an alternative reality where that didnt happen and they got along great as sister/brother or master/trainee. i wouldnt put Jericho past being so stubborn that she wouldnt believe when Lance would say that he forgave her, and then boom!! same set-up, just without the nasty pedophilia!!

ON THE NOTE OF WHICH- (theres so much of that garbage in nakaba's writing, fucks sake) - i genuinely hate the whole thing happening with Guinevere. the whole non-consensual kiss from a 12 year old to a 16 year old (ewwwww) is one thing, but then when Lance is reflecting on that interaction and he SMILES????

you have no idea how much this panel killed me to see. Lancelot youre better than this,,,, 4 years is not a big age difference when youre in your 30's, but when youre 16???? please,,,, cmon now,,,

speaking of whommmmm~~ ,,, I ADORE LANCELOT!! SO MUCH!! this is to be expected considering i love Ban, bUT- hes genuinely just such a cool and wonderful character that has some sense in him. i especially loved those panels where he was like jumping around to get himself hyped up cuz like!! Or like (y/n) is dead, and the commandments are about to die or smth? but then similar to what happened to Derieri when she died, they get a flashback to seeing (y/n)? Angst/fluff please🙏

Note || hello hello, hope what I provided was fufilling. I tried to make sure they each adhered to the individual complexities of their character (nakaba I will forever hate you for making them so interesting and then throwing them away). It's up to you how you interpret your relationship with any of the characters.

Estarossa

Maybe he was still left at the fields, the loneliness vast and ever-expanding in the pits of his heart. Estarossa wasn't sure what to make of it, beyond his usual displays of confidence. Perhaps he was the least bit out of it, trapped in that dark cocoon of memories, and even worser ones. Estarossa was at all odds, within himself especially. Because within his memories, he found something brightening his sullied mindset, the darkness of his soul; you. Like the pathways filled with pillars of light, and he could find himself taking the time to admire each and every single one of them.

Even if he were to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, he could find the longevity of his stay far easier when he thought of you. Particularly in the now, where he laid, healing from the injuries he sustained in his battle with Escanor -- he had proven to be more then the average human, in all of his long centuries he's lived, the sin of pride had proven to be quite the formidable fighter amongst the seven sins. Which in a way, he found himself with some understanding as how and why you found yourself befriending them following that exchange of heavy other-worldly blows.

He wasn't completely sure why the only thing he could currently perceive was the darkness (and the occasional change of enviroment), yet one thing remained a constant variable. Which once again was you, however, he soon had been left to figure out that he was only dreaming.

Estarossa could not truly feel, smell and hold you in his arms.

But it was enough to see you infront of him, even if only the trepidation brought on by the mists of his ever-clouded mind.

"Rossa?" The soft-familiar dialect brought him from his pits of his profound thinking. The call of his nickname, of which you only seemed to defer to him as, elicited a pavlovian response from the would-be demon; Estarossa craned his head, his gaze inset upon your very being, however blurred or perhaps vivid it may be. Though the expression he found on your face was what had surprised the man. You weren't at all feeling emotional, you were only soft, and gentle for the most part.

Breezes swayed throughout, interrupting the way your hair sat so neatly upon your head. He couldn't have any regard for his own disheveled appearance, but the way nature seemed to work so hard, and in the beauty of the landscape made you seem so majestic in comparison to it's own. He was left to wonder, truly, if he deserved to so as much even lay eyes on you beyond these coincidental meetings.

You were something else, a fresh breath of air against all that he was far too used to. A sight of which he could drink in every time until he was impassably drunk for demon standards, there was no matter in which he would want to stop talking to you.

Consequences be damned.

The onset of the silence, as oddly comforting, seemed to discern his strings of concern regardless. "Well, something wrong?" Estarossa snickers, his lips thinly forming into an bemused smile. He leans back somewhat, to gain a proper view of you. When you merely laughed in response, his seven hearts seemed to soar.

Monspeet

Flames licked at every inch of his being, angry, flames. Yet within the fervor of the enraged, indignant spirits of which cowled his sight and all five senses---he was, strangely, at peace.

For which a reason, or multiple, he wasn't truly able to ascertain. Come up with an answer that would be possibly far-fetched sure, but nothing he could actually be able to understand. That what was his surefire sense of reality had felt, peace. Even beyond the depths of the anger, hands crawled around, perhaps pulling him one direction or the other, it wasn't able to decide. Yet in the confusion, there was one decision, he was safe.

Maybe for all that he was, all that he was worth, he was still Monspeet. One of the greatest Hellblaze users to live in the vast history of the demon race, so perhaps, the flames were scolding him for his great mistake. Letting up in combat when he shouldn't have, that one transitory second where everything had flipped the pieces on the table that had quickly become the battlefield. Marred by scorches of past memories, a memoir dependent on a walking, living relic.

"Hey! The hell's with that moping face of yours?"

And there it was, at the reaches of disdain and clashing of weapons, he was at the safe house of your inviting warmth. For what had happened so far, he certainly didn't expect someone like you to approach someone like him, not now and not even ever. However, maybe he could allow himself a degree of selfishness. He could allow himself to indulge in something, where death wasn’t the only thing staining his hands.

“No need to be bothered about me.” He simply responds, everytime he uses that same set of words in similarity throughout the use of the phrase. He need only to keep you at an arms length, just to be sure.

Though at first he was hesitant to even consider conversing with you, despite the good intentions you clearly present, his thousands of thoughts circulated throughout his mind. And he was therefore not afraid to kill you at a moments notice. Yet the more he had come to know you, the more he realized you were simply being genuine. Monspeet found himself drawn to you, and he wasn’t sure why. The words he’s held in his heart, continued to pile on. It was inconceivable. He was good at playing the part, playing the villain. But he simply had come to learn more about himself through your good, but nevertheless incessant and stubborn actions.

Even with every breath he took, to take his orders with perfect stride, he found himself faltering. Having to pull himself together silently, to not draw any attention to himself. Though with you, he was more than okay with being perceived—differently. Despite not being used to it initially, Monspeet was genuinely at ease with the thought.

Though it seemed fate struck a different note on the very concept of just simply living, without the noise of fear and rampant destruction.

He was going to have to offer one of the longest apologies of his life, Monspeet was going to his grave right here in and now, even with the words in his heart; He hadn't dared to let them slip past his lips, being a warrior whom held the Commandment of Reticence. It seemed even in the now, obstacles would intrude on the very ending he wished for.

Monspeet heard a saying once; 'Eyes are the window to the soul.' So he wondered if you, had indeed knew what those eyes of his own were saying to you. One final time in this life of his.

Melascula

Even within all her long years of living, she always deemed herself a pitiful demon despite her status as an elite of the race. The times where she had the mask as the demon of faith, it seldom broke in the presence of others who Melascula knew she'd never form bonds with. Betrayal seemed to be the constant variable for someone like her, an inevitability that she soon found herself growing comfortable with.

Melascula was without a doubt, just a footstep in the name of others to improve their skill. For as strong as she was, there was always a bigger fish she found in the face of her battles within combat. Another omen constantly omitted.

Yet, she stayed faithful.

She was faithful, and even then that wasn't enough. Then, even one opponent after the other, she one day encountered you one of the many pools of demon miasma within the realm. You too were a demon, yet only a foot soldier, however the things she had sensed about you --- she was proven considerably otherwise. You were far more capable than she expected, Melascula's interest was thoroughly piqued. An elite demon's interest is hard to capture, and you had noticed that, so you were to say the least; worried.

But then she was more of a humble comrade, despite the way she spoke and behaved, to you, she was far more friendly then you've seen toward any other demon. You had no real confirmation of her true intentions, so initially, you kept your distance until you truly were sure of her most genuine intentions.

With time, your initial alarm had waned. No longer putting up a guard, Melascula was at most, pleased. She had found a bona-fide associate, someone whom she could share her implicit trust in.

It had sincerely brought forth a fickle dam of emotions she hadn't felt before, and that alone, in her moment of her final few breaths that she was truly comfortable and free of pain. Maybe she wasn't going anywhere good, with all damning destruction she's caused, but the memory of you alone was like aloe to her burning skin.

Melascula was content, enough to know that she could put her faith in you as a long-time associate and comrade and you would put your faith in her as well, irregardless of all that has transpired.

Irregardless of those eyes locking all those years later.

Derieri

Even to those who deigned the battlefield, your ability to communicate with each other---especially with a single glance was like none other. It transcended the physicality of true restraint, the ability to communicate verbally and through action. As if above all else, you were each other's missing piece. Even if you were pushed between the cross of no man's land and the edge of the world, Derieri perceived, then persevered. Which had imbued you with a sense of formality to continue pushing through as well, despite lacking the ability to communicate perfectly well due to what had happened so long ago, you were the only other being in existence to perfectly formulate her thoughts.

Despite the brashness in certain actions which her emotions had led too, she truly had appreciated you far more than you knew of. Derieri is aware there are not many who are willing to put up with someone like her, even if she seldom gives acknowledgement to the idea.

Though, even with all that she tries to do, to persist in order to protect the people she cares about. Derieri finds herself failing, another one, lost to the four winds.

To her, you were a pillar of strength. Standing tall, and hard as the best material impossibly found in the farthest depths of mountain caves. She truly had been far more motivated because of you, and the likes of few others. Derieri found the sense of strength she holds even in the now, thanks to you.

i just know you're cooking up something crazy with the jericho stuff

maybe i will talk about it. i just haven't been too in-depth about my theories because being potentially catastrophically incorrect about this would be SOOOOO embarrassing LOL but i'll put my foot in the ring here. i wanted to wait until i caught up with the new episodes to see how the anime adapted the scenes but i'm bored, so.

the idea that's been floating in my brain almost since those chapters dropped is that she's under some kind of mind-manipulation. we do know arthur has that capability, he's been using it to control the people he makes work for him.

since the main villain is literally "chaos", choosing to use her as a tool in such a traumatic and destructive way like this would just make a lot of sense. and could serve a lot of purposes for arthur. theory is a bit long so it's going under the readmore.

i'm currently under the belief that he warped her mind this way for one (or all) of these possible reasons.

to generally just cause chaos. it's implied that jericho and lancelot were investigating the chaos knights and this would be an insane way to get back at her/mess with her life for it.

to push lancelot away from guinevere. he may be aware that lancelot and guinevere's fates are connected to each other. he wants guinevere for her power, he can't let an opposing force connect with her.

arthur may believe that fighting this lancelot guy is crucial to his own destiny and goals in some way? so he did something to cause him to hate him. he acts quite smug about this when they first meet officially. it seems like he's asking a question he knows the answer to. more-or-less indirectly saying, "yeah. i did something to piss you off."

arthur didn't know that lancelot was one of the four knights, but he recognized his name and had a strong reaction to it. he's also seen his face before, but didn't connect that significant name to this boy. maybe it's because jericho's future vision of lancelot is explicitly really, really feminine (interesting choice, nakaba...) he looks nothing like lancelot, basically.

you could say he's just aware of him because of jericho, but this response comes across like the name has importance to him, and not just simply him recognizing lancelot as jericho's former student. hearing "lancelot" nearly stopped arthur in his tracks. this is before arthur officially abducted guinevere, too.

i'm under the belief that arthur was clued into the fact that guinevere has been searching for lancelot-- she's been doing this for years, investigating at random trying to find him by her own words. if arthur has been tailing her, there's no doubt that he'd have heard lancelot's name come up.

okay please stick with me i have to do a brief analysis on her introduction with guila in order to elaborate on my point here.

something else that i believe supports this is the fact that during guila and jericho's introduction together in the sequel, guila's mini-arc with gowther was brought up for the first time since chapter 168 of the original manga. ie: when she was brainwashed to love gowther for his own selfish experiments/motivations.

throughout the series, guila and jericho tend to parallel each other a lot. even when they're separated, their arcs often coincided. in the end of the original manga, it concluded with their epilogue being "together." their introductory scene in the sequel put heavy focus on the fact that they parallel each other. the way they couldn't land any hits on each other because they know each other's bodies and movements so well.

despite jericho being full villain mode, she still didn't want to hurt guila. there was a softness here. she refused to harm her unless guila did first, she gave her many chances to leave so it didn't have to come to that. jericho is lancelot's teacher, older sister, and supposedly in love with him. but her introduction is all about her fated connections with guila and the care she has for her, even when she has to face her as an enemy.

if jericho's relationship with lancelot was truly meant to be genuine, i feel like nakaba would've introduced jericho in the sequel by fighting lancelot instead, and not guila. but he doesn't. we have this multi-chapter fight with heavy emphasis on her relationship to guila and the way they always find each other again after falling apart.

two sisters-in-arms, fire and ice, forever linked together. her fight with guila is actually a direct callback to her introduction with fighting ban in the prison, too. which is um... an interesting comparison to make, all context considered.

the title of this chapter refers to the sudden reveal that guila managed to master some kind of body horror ability with the latent demon power she has in her. but in my opinion, it refers to both of them. so how has jericho "transformed" in such a way that can be directly compared to guila's shape-shifting?

and despite the significance behind the plot-twist with jericho and lancelot, the databook that released doesn't reflect this at all. jericho's main quote here is when she's speaking to guila. the japanese text is the line she's saying in the panel i'm adding alongside it. the line nakaba chose to represent 4kota-jericho is her telling guila that she'll be forced to kill her if guila isn't backing down. nothing to do with lancelot at all.

(guila's quote on her databook page is when she tells jericho that she has a duty to uphold as a holy knight, so she can't back down. they're directly speaking to each other. just to further emphasize this.)

meanwhile, the panel about loving lancelot is a tiny blurb. not even her personality description mentions it. it's just kind of a side detail. ultimately, she's still being centered around her dynamic with guila, like she always has been. i think this detail is fascinating and important.

anyways, jericho also had a really sudden shift in personality the moment lancelot entered the scene and touched her, like it triggered something. i'm really curious to see how the anime handled her voice-work at this moment.

circling back to the gowther situation being randomly brought up. the fact that jericho was being more like her old self (although a bit villainous, like her arc one personality) with guila and then having a sudden personality change when lancelot engages with her, reminds me a lot of this.

(edit: i'm dying, i forgot the punchline of this scene was that jericho became disturbed since she knows guila has no men in her life besides her little brother and couldn't think of anyone she'd be referring to. more emphasis on how jericho is very much not for predatory behavior.)

in the original series, jericho's presence seemed to have temporarily disrupted gowther's brainwashing, only for guila to suddenly have this insane shift in demeanor the moment gowther appeared again and she was forced to question her memories. this is also the first time the audience is clued into the fact something is deeply wrong here. it's so similar that it's difficult to ignore.

this panel in particular when guila first brings up lancelot reminds me of guila's reaction when jericho questioned her about how she managed to survive unscathed. like their true memories were getting mixed up after suddenly having to question reality.

kudos to my friend ren for this next observation: guila and jericho have also strongly paralleled hendrickson and dreyfus respectively as early as the original manga. guila suddenly having demon powers is a reminder of that. if you recall, an aspect of hendrickson and dreyfus' dynamic is the fact dreyfus ended up being a corrupted figure in power because he was having his mind tampered with in an extremely similar way.

so not only is jericho's current situation possibly reflecting what happened to guila before, it may also be further connected to dreyfus.

in regards to what i mean by the "shift" in personality: before lancelot directly makes contact with her, she's still in her smug-battle state.

the chapter where this reveal drops is called "a burning, freezing heart" which still draws more connection to her dynamic with guila than lancelot. the title is very much a reminder of their relationship-- especially after that huge focus in the battle where jericho froze guila's fire-- and not really necessarily about lancelot at all.

despite lancelot showing up-- this boy she supposedly loves-- her focus here is on guila more than anything else initially. her dialogue here in japanese is less "no hard feelings [from me]" and more her asking guila, "please don't hate me for this." but once he engages with her to save guila's life... something shifts.

there's even this notable focus on her gasping at the contact. all attention on her delicate relationship with her friend and partner shatters in an instant.

nakaba also visualizes this by having lancelot touch where the brand arthur left on her body is. and now all of a sudden, her demeanor became wildly different. it feels unnatural.

especially with the entirety of jericho's character in mind. she's exceptionally good with kids, acts as an older sister to both zeal and lancelot. one of the films also dedicates a scene to how good she is with children, when she's on patrol with guila and they encounter some kids playing in the street. she's an honorable knight with a strong moral code.

the two-parter movies also back this idea up, in my opinion. they take place about a year before the sequel manga begins. jericho is still watching over lancelot from a distance and behaving like her usual self.

nakaba could've used this point in the movie to set-up the whole "secret admirer weirdo" thing, but instead it's just her being the cool level-headed sisterly master that she was to him. sometime between then and now, she was taken in by arthur as a chaos knight and began to act a lot differently.

the one-shot has a moment that i feel serves as a red-herring for this plot point. out of context, you'd think it supports the idea that her words to lancelot are 100% legit and serious. in-context, it's not inherently weird and even elaine says so herself after the fact. she's literally just doting on him. lancelot only initially interpreted it as weird because he was just told the same thing by someone who had ill-intent with him. i think this scene exists to create doubt.

not to mention the fact that if jericho had been harboring these feelings for the three years they were spirited away, lancelot would know. he's a fairy, he can read hearts. he does it a lot, almost constantly using it so he's clued into everything around him. lancelot was doing it in that scene i just posted, too. he would've known. but he had no reason to suspect this was supposedly happening.

because it... probably wasn't! this is likely a new development manufactured by arthur for some villainous motivation, to create tragedy and conflict. this is not jericho's first run-in with being dragged into a cult and manipulated to behave in ways that go against her moral codes. she's a professional at this point.

he reads her heart during their reunion to confirm whether or not her words about loving him are true. in that moment, her heart does match her words. but that doesn't disprove the idea she's operating under this new reality she's been made to believe in.

the reason jericho up and left lancelot (if the version she tells turns out to be a fabrication) remains a mystery. i think it's possible it had something to do with his well-being. especially if she was looking into arthur, and we know arthur was aware this mysterious lancelot guy is a detriment to his goals with guinevere. i think it's possible she also could've made a deal of some kind but things got out of hand and she became a pawn, kind of like what happened to her in the first series.

in retrospect, it's also possible that lancelot wasn't entirely wrong when he assumed jericho left because she was frustrated with having to take care of him. not in a malicious way, but she was essentially parentified because of a mistake she made that allowed them to be spirited away.

during the scene in the two-parter movies i referenced earlier, she's protecting him, because of course she cares for him. but she makes that exasperated comment about how lancelot is being put in her hands again instead of ban's ("honestly... no progress between parent and child.") jericho has her own goals and ambitions. this also sort of puts her in a position that mirrors gustaf! the idea of her running away to take space is classic jericho behavior. and then at some point, she ended up in arthur's hands.

CHAPTER ✨145✨

First up. I love how unbothered the Fairies and Giants are by this.

They're like "Ohhh what's going on?" "Invaders huh? Well, it's their funeral" lol 😆 Like they know it's gonna be alright.

Then we have Killbeggan over here just spewing probably just to rile up Mertyl even more. Which yeah ended up happening.

But like dude, this must hurt him a lot you know, cause Mertyl's in there, we know this based from last chapter when King heard Mertyl's thoughts. My boy completely lost control over his body and he can't do anything but watch himself hurt his family 😭

Just to point it out, this is a really nice moment between King and Sixtus. Like Sixtus is obviously still upset but despite that Sixtus still has trust, care and respect for his dad that he would do what King asked him to do. Sixtus knows that his dad knows what he's doing, he knows that there are reasons for everything that is happening. Sixtus may not understand it fully but he trusts his dad and it's all that matters.

We got to finally see what the other kids can do too. Obviously they're holding back cause it's their brother they're facing. Then we have Belte being Belte. Like honestly, I love how calm and chill he is, he even wagged his finger like honestly dude he's so cute.

Then we have Nasiens and Diane stepping into action. Awesome, everybody gets to have a moment.

I lowkey like it when these Chaos Knights thinks they have a chance on even landing a hit on the Sins. Like buddy calm down, you already dug your own grave the moment you screwed up Mertyl.

Also, I find it funny how tiny the speech bubble is when he said "Die Fairy King" like yeah sure that'll kill him 😂 even the manga itself doesn't believe you lol 😆

Also, King could be referring to Merlin here. Interesting that he still views her as a friend. Regardless of that...

You know King is just toying with you when he gets this cocky. Killbeggan is dead King is just playing with him at this point lol.

Then, our boy Sixtus shows up to absolutely wreak these mofos. Honestly, I called it right from the very beginning. Sixtus gives Lancelot vibes and I'm living for it. I can't wait for them to meet up cause they're besties for sure.

I'm also very curious on what and who these hooded people are cause I counted there are like 10 of them and there must be a plan right? Like they must have some way to get the Drug of Yore on their own cause it's a little too wild for them to show up like that only to get beat. Unless, that's their actual purpose lol.

Also, I love how Sixtus gets to have his solo moment here like Nakaba really is establishing Sixtus as a character that will be relevant in the future. I'm smelling Lancelot Platoon 😆

I wanna talk about the animation for 4kota, don’t get me wrong I love how we have pretty good animation for the series and I’m glad it doesn’t look like season 3-4 of the Seven Deadly Sins. But what I liked so much about Seven Deadly Sins season 1-2 animation is how well it captured Nakabas art style. With this new studio that’s animating 4kota I just don’t feel like they captured Nakabas art style that well. When you compare the manga to anime there’s a clear difference:

There are sometimes where I think the anime does an amazing job at recreating scenes from the manga, like:

Which I think look amazing but do you guys see my point? Like I said the animation itself isn’t bad it’s the art style. And especially with pretty characters I feel like it doesn’t capture their beauty.(Tristan and Nasiens) Nakabas art style is more round and bubbly but the anime makes it more sharp and round, and not in a good way.

And even with the shitty animation for the Seven deadly sins there was still Nakabas art style incorporated into it, for example:
