Some info about Seven Deadly Sins in land of the Lustrous AU✨
✧ I gave them more magical abilities to make them fit nnt canon. Meliodas here replaces Phos and moves plot forward.
Diana's name is Smoky Quartz, but she is called Rauch for short, from Rauchtopaz.
✧ I have divided gems into generations to indicate the difference in age, since all gems have a very long lifespan.
(Forgive me, Escanor's mustache... Gems don't have mustaches😭😭😭)

Hiiii I'd like to ask for any type of HC's or short oneshot for fairy reader (I don't mind the gender being neutral but I'd rather AFAB, if that's fine(≧▽≦)), and they're like a weak flyer and we're born with bad and weak wings.
This for Gloxinia and Drole, separately (and maybe some HCs of them together, but this one can be either platonic/romantic, it's not like clear on on it being a poly relationship, if that makes sense??
+ Gerheade and Diane too if that's fine, separately.
Sorry if this is a lot, thank you<33
Oh and I don't mind if this is before holy war or after revival of commandments :)))
♫ 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊
Sypnosis [Drole, Gloxinia, Gerheade and Diane with Fairy!Reader who has bad/weak wings.]
WC [?]
Note || I’ve decided to set this after revival! :), reader is also described with different personalities for each character.
Gloxinia + Drove (some are separate, some are paired)
Gloxinia can understand in the sense of helplessness of being unable to fly properly, it was in due part to having been born with the condition that impaired your ability to fly, since having such bad and weak wings since birth. He knows it and tries his best to reassure you whenever you are feeling bad about it or having bad days, but he never directs the subject of attention to the matter. He prefers looking at you directly, not your wings.
Gloxinia had offhandedly asked you about the matter on your weak wings, to which you had told him in great value how you had felt and the way you were treated by others for being incapable of the abundant manner of flight. Since he had been offered such invaluable insight on the subject, he had then made the decision to find ways that could support your wings so you could gain flight, even if it was the smallest hopeless thing.
Gloxinia offers his 'Basquias' as a form of transportation should he sense that you are truly struggling to getting from one point to another, having also point out to you that it doesn't kill to ask for help, even despite your personality of stubbornness. Should you accept his help, he readily helps you over. However if you do decline, he will respect that as well. He simply just wants you aware that he will always help you should you want it, though Gloxinia can be albeit impatient and decide to assist you anyway in certain situations.
Drole will offer ways of assistance to helping you should you find yourself stuck in difficult spots in certain situations, but he however has the most infinite amount of patience should you decline his help. Though he seldom understood what it was like to have such bad wings, he sought out some sort of wisdom from Gloxinia, whom told him to just let you work it out yourself. As the giant has come to learn that you were more then not; stubborn.
Drole irregardless speaks of you very highly whenever someone brings you up in conversation, though if they do happen to mention the trouble involving your weak wings, he is rather quick to defend you: more often then not he proves to have a sharp tongue. So he shuts them down quickly if they happen to be rude about you in that aspect, Drole doesn't tolerate disrespect.
Drole had often wondered about how the matter of your weak wings came to be, as you had never spoken on the details of your circumstance to him in particular. But he reels in his curiosity, Drole understands the preference of not wanting to speak about certain things, especially if it involves out of commission appendages.
Gloxinia + Drole, both are particularly easy on you in different ways, as they will be quick to shield you should you find yourself engaged in combat. They are well aware of your capabilities as a fighter, but they had also prefer to cover you as they are weary on the possibilities of you getting injured.
Gloxinia + Drole prefer moments of quiet and peace, and often on the suggestion of going out on walks, simply enjoying the presence of each other and the sights of Mother Nature. You can always hear Gloxinia audibly groan when you two hear Drole begin one of his rants of one his many stories of what he had experienced three-thousand years ago. On rare occasions however, it may be Gloxinia recounting his own experiences from the time of when he was truly committed to his duties as the first fairy king.
Gerheade has a complete sense of understanding given your plight with your lack of ability being able to fly properly, even despite improper means of flight. But she will suggest any means of flight that will help you get around more freely, but should you prefer just wanting to feel the freedom of the sky and just feeling the breeze, she understands that too, instead searching for more methods that will help you in such a way.
Gerheade does try her best to better understand how differently your wings work compared to the average fairy, but based on her understanding and collective info she's gathered from you, she had come to understand that you had been borne with terrible and weak muscles in the wings. To which you had did you best to make up for in other areas.
Gerheade, to her, having come to know you was such a wonderful thing if she was being honest. To experiencing things with you, gave her a new perspective on those whom were physically or invisibly disabled. She definitely had become better for it, and in earnest became wiser about it toward herself.
Diane at first was admittedly confused as to why you couldn't fly very well, or not much at all. But when you had elaborated, she apologized for her lack of ignorance, but you had reassure her it was fine. As it was a large rarity for someone like you to exist, especially for a fairy.
Diane had asked more about it, but as it stood you had only known being this way since the day of your birth. But she had easily amended the atmosphere of the situation by being hopeful about it, and had also informed you that you were always welcome to ask for her help should you need it. You'r a very dear one to her after all.

NNT Language Headcanons
You give a world languages major an interest in Seven Deadly Sins and what do you get? You get linguistic headcanons! Or what languages I think the Sins speak. English is our 'No duh' since this is in fantasy Britain, so that's out of the way.
Merlin and Meliodas are in the 'I speak a fuckton of dead languages' club bc of how long they've been around. Merlin knows Welsh bc her real world counterpart is Welsh in origin I believe. Meli knows Latin bc haha the demon knows Latin. This would extend to Tristan knowing bits and pieces of dead languages that he picked up from Meliodas... mainly the swears.
So, Escanor's home kingdom may be based off of an old kingdom in Spain so he'd speak Spanish. He'd also try to pick up Welsh to impress Merlin and you can bet his main way of practicing would be writing Welsh poetry. He'd also tend to default to using the formal version of you most of the time.
I could see Diane speaking German. Like, she stubs her toe or something and you just hear the most guttural shout of 'Scheiße!'. And the rough sound German can have at times could make her attacks sound badass.
Ban knows French. There are several reasons I have this headcanon. For one, there's a scene in the abridged where he speaks French. Secondly, if my memory is correct, the first instance of Lancelot appearing in Arthurian literature was written by a Frenchman. Thirdly, he's my comfort character and if headcanoning him speaking French is what it takes to get me to practice my French then let the autism KICK MY ASS. Finally, French can sound cocky/condescending and this bastard of a man would get a kick out of that. Like, just imagine him babytalking Lancelot in French when the kid is refusing to go to bed. And yes, Lancelot would pick up French from Ban. Also, whenever Ban needed to bitch about something or swear but Lancelot was around, he'd switch to French so that his kid doesn't get a foul mouth.
King picked up German bc Diane reasons. I feel he'd speak a Celtic language of some kind, not sure which one.
Gowther is also in the 'I know dead languages' club but mainly uses it to read stories in dead languages. Just imagine Gowther reading Gilgamesh in cuneiform. That bitch would! He also tries picking up the different languages that the other Sins speak. He finds Spanish and French the easiest to pick up due to their similarities and him already knowing Latin.
Ban and Escanor actually try learning from each other due to French and Spanish being in the same language family.

Overanalyzing 4KOTA Chapter 142 instead of just waiting for more info (1/2?)
Honestly? I'm writing King's side of this separately, because it's about time I started talking about him here l and I know I can go on forever about him. That field of over-analysis needs its own house. I would go off about him first but then I'd forget his kids entirely and I don't want to do that to them... Speaking of--
So silly. So precious. Berte is so Helbram-coded and I'm sure that's intentional resemblance.
You know...I wonder which of their traits were inherited from Diane's parents. Probably the golden hair on almost half of them at least. Sixtus and Tioreh's pink hair looks more like a genetic mutation...unless their hair color is inherited from the leaf color of the Sacred Tree? That's possible too.
Diane seems less energetic since becoming a mother. She's settled down and has been shown to be gentle more often than bubbly, which was the impression she gave me in the original series. I'm assuming she hasn't fought since entering the Fairy Realm, too. She's put the stress of the Holy War behind her, and I'm happy that she seems content with her lots of babies. I wonder if she'll get to hear about Dolores once the current issues are over. I'm sure hearing she's Nasiens's adoptive big sister will be a shock. Diane deserves to know that.
The way Tioreh says this makes me suspect Puck is the one behind Nasiens and Myrtel's switcheroo. He must really love that "prank" in that case. Regardless of who was behind it, though, that's actually fucked up. A fairy trolled their own king by swapping their first child with a human, probably knowing exactly what issues both kids would be put in. I can't call this just a prank. I love King to death, but his people are their own kind of awful...
For this moment, let's glance back at how she reacted to that news at first.
Tioreh must have been suspecting this the whole time Nasiens was here, but this reveal may be the moment she started to seriously believe it, if not when Nasiens admitted to feeling healthier in the Fairy Realm. After this, she started to open up about her siblings more and telling Nasiens that he's like them--especially like Phao. All of this is stuff that Nasiens didn't know about since he met her two years ago. All of the tension in this family over Nasiens and Myrtel has been building up for so long...and right now we're watching it all cave in. I'm sure King and Diane had good intentions for hiding the truth, but hiding it's not working anymore.
And Diane knows it's not working anymore. I'm stuck on her asking "Is that bad for you?" Why is she asking that of all things? Is that what King and Diane were so worried about when they decided to never come out about this? Did they think their kids would be upset with having a human for an older brother?
Okay, but maybe that's not all that they considered. Maybe they got worried about how their people outside of their family would react to their theories being confirmed. If that happened, as unfortunate as it is, Mertyl would probably get more ostracized than he was. With that in mind, I'm sure his parents made that choice to protect him from some of the problems he'd inevitably go through. It's a nice thought that way, but this was still a bad call. They made too many assumptions of their own kids' feelings.
In other news...Phao was lurking... Now they're all gonna know and clear up this misunderstanding with their parents, right?
Anyway, I feel like I've written too much for one post, so I'll go on about the rest of the chapter tomorrow. Closing this part with this:

Story Summary:
Eternal…
life.
reincarnation.
silence.
and chains.
For 3,000 long and painful years, these four have been doing all they can to lift their curses. They have failed, again and again and again. With only a sliver of hope left, they try once more.
-
Or, what if Zeldris accepted Meliodas’ offer to go with him 3,000 years ago?
The blast didn’t hit them.
The blast didn’t hit Diane, either.
The air stilled, with the blast colliding with something but not someone. Smoke billowed around just in front of him, but Zeldris could not touch the smoke, the black air swirling against a near invisible surface.
Said surface glimmered slightly, shimmering a faint green and turquoise, and the power settling around him and in his bones felt like climbing into bed with Gelda after a long evening in the kitchen, curling under the covers and drifting into a rare, easy sleep. Zeldris blinked and took a step back, but the power didn’t fade from over him, under his feet just as much as it was in front of him.
Looking up, the source was obvious, floating in the air and glaring down beyond the barrier as though looking upon a particularly disgusting and diseased rat. Hand outstretched, but reclined slightly, and wrist with no tension in it, as though creating the barrier had been nothing but a second thought.
The smoke settled beyond the barrier, revealing Guila, soot clinging to her armor and a clear pattern across her face where she blocked the residual blast that ended up being far closer than she anticipated.
“Sloth Sin,” Guila said, her brows scrunching ever so slightly in possible annoyance, before smoothing over. “You dare betray the Holy Knights again?”
King ignores her, floating down enough to hover around Diane’s face, turning just enough to look at the injured giant without completely taking his eyes off Guila.
“Are you alright, Diane?” he asks, and Zeldris watches him take in the way Diane favors her forearm instead of sitting upright, the way her other hand lingers but does not yet press against her side, the fact that she has not gotten up yet, all he absorbs within moments, enough for his expression to darken even more.
Zeldris can hear the inhale he forces through a clenched jaw, immediately followed by a forced relaxation of his face, into something almost bored, impassive. The concern lingers, though, and always would where Diane was concerned if memory of ten years ago serves Zeldris correct, but it’s hidden enough that Guila will - hopefully - not be able to use it entirely against him.
“For now,” is the answer Diane gives, and it doesn’t appease King - doesn’t appease Zeldris, either, and he will help in checking her over once they’re out of here - but he accepts it, focusing back entirely on Guila.
“Diane’s not the only one hurt, ya’know!” Ban calls out, hauling himself up from some rubble.
King ignores him more intensely than he initially did Guila.
“I suppose with your betrayal, I’ll just have to end you as well,” Guila says over Ban. “Which is a shame - you would have made a great asset to our cause.”
King raises an unimpressed brow. “I think I’ve seen enough of your ‘cause’,” he says, “and you’ve done enough damage.” He drifts higher and back, and looks down at them all. King signs instead of speaking now.
“Hang back, and let me handle her?”
Zeldris looks to Gelda first, still recovering from the sudden fall - and his hearts hammer against his ribs, because why is she taking so long to recover? What did she realize up there? - and looking instead at Meliodas. She nods once, and he looks to Ban then Diane next, a longer silent conversation before he shrugs in feigned aloofness.
“All yours, King!”
Meliodas fell back to sit in front of Diane, followed by Ban taking post in front of her as well. Zeldris looked to Gelda once more, finally getting up. She stares at Guila for a long moment, and Zeldris can feel the others’ eyes on them, can feel King practically boring a hole into his skull, but he waits. Eventually Gelda returns his gaze, and she nods and steps back, away from the wall of King’s barrier. “Later,” she signs, “I’ll explain later.”
Only then does Zeldris move, following her back but keeping himself between her and Guila. Focus on King be damned, if it takes Gelda minutes to recover from something that she should have recovered from in seconds, he is not going to risk anything.
“You’re going to fight me all by yourself?” Guila tilts her head as she asks, and her voice, mostly keeping a bland tone, takes on the slightest of taunting. “Surely you’d want the aid of your fellow Sins, at least.”
King spares one last glance down at the rest of them, and that is the only warning they get before the barrier around them all dissolves, and instead Chastiefol’s spear form appears beside King.
“No. I can defeat you myself.”
-
Almost as soon as the words leave his mouth, Guila moves, faster than any Apprentice Holy Knight should be able to. King dodges the rapier easily and blocks the following blast with Chastiefol, forcing distance between himself and Guila.
The blast is strong, and King had ‘trained’ with Guila before, testing her abilities and her limits. Her power now feels too much like a Holy Knight’s, when not even two weeks ago they were half as much. But it is familiar all the same, the power she exudes. She jabs and sends explosions his way, over and over again, and it is an easy pattern to follow, once he learns it.
She creates distance, sends a distracting blast, then gets close. If he gets too close to her, she forces distance again and repeats.
King remembers she was calculating, before. Whatever happened to increase her power, to make it feel so much more overwhelming, she’s gotten too comfortable using the brute force of it. As King dodges yet another one of her patterned attacks, still not yet on the offensive, just learning, he can’t help but feel a little disappointed in her for seemingly abandoning her cleverness in favor of raw power.
It becomes almost a dance, with the way he dodges her attacks and she lunges after him. He stays in the air, but she utilizes the Necropolis’ crystal columns to leap from with each new attack.
The seconds tick by, and Guila’s attacks grow quicker, the pattern breaking ever so slightly as she tries to actually land a hit. And then a perfect opening -
Guila raises her rapier high, and King’s eyes are on her but he can feel the heat of the emerging explosions behind him, far enough they don’t instantly hit him but close enough that the moment she detonates them King knows he’d be hit hard. The power appearing is subtle, as she also creates an explosion at the tip of her blade, a distraction to the onslaught appearing behind him.
King snaps his fingers, and Chastiefol transforms just as Guila swings her rapier down, commanding the balls of fire down with it.
The explosion is deafening, even for King, but the thousands of daggers Chastiefol manifested into protect him well. And still, enough to spare -
Because Guila launches herself up, right into his space, but he’s prepared and defense is no longer necessary. Daggers block her attempt to stab him, and she’s forced to spin away, but still King sees she’s sliced by some of them. He brings more of the daggers close, and as one rains them down on Guila.
She runs and dodges the best she can, some of the daggers getting lodged within her armor despite her efforts. He pulls them all back once more and flies higher, ensuring there is distance still between him and Guila, and Chastiefol transforms once more into its spear form.
She’s breathing heavier, but not yet exhausted, and she keeps up with Chastiefol as King commands it with easy turns of his wrist. It forces her back further, though, clashing again and again with her rapier as she is forced to block strike after strike (he could break the rapier - could easily shatter it and stab right through Guila’s armor and truly make her a part of the Necropolis, or perhaps send her soul to Purgatory - but he cannot bring himself to do so, even knowing what she is supporting in Liones. Not with his captain watching, and knowing how he actually feels about killing their opponents; he could stand the aftermath of killing Ban, because the justification would be stronger, but there is no true justification to murdering Guila, not yet).
He lands a strong enough hit that it knocks Guila into a crystal pillar, and there is a loud crack and she doesn’t immediately get up. King finally takes his eyes off her, because as strong as she might be now all so suddenly, even she shouldn’t be able to recover that quickly. He looks instead to the others still on the ground, to Diane watching him with an encouraging smile; to Zeldris and Gelda each a moment away from jumping in still, always ready to back their plays even now, to Ban’s wounds closing, slower than they usually do - even King’s wounds did not last nearly so long, only one person’s ever took so long to heal, why… - and even to the princess and the pig, on the crystal wall behind Diane and out of range of the fight, so the captain would make no fuss about her being in danger again.
All he took in within moments, and just as it processed where everyone else was, did he feel the incoming heat of a gathering explosion behind him. He was not fast enough to whip around, and Chastiefol would take too long to transform again to protect him properly, but when he turned he saw-
The Captain, and the broken sword out, Full Countering Guila’s explosion. King was close enough to see, even through the flames, Guila’s eyes widen and the grimace as she braced for the impact she knew she couldn’t avoid. The explosion flung her back once more, further than before, and she crashed into the ground hard.
When Guila was knocked down this time, Zeldris was by her, his sword aimed to her neck just in case she got back up.
She did not.

Diane: How?
Ban: I need someone to take the fall.
Diane: What did you do?
Ban: I can't tell you. Yes or no, no questions asked.
King, from the other room: Oh my god.
Ban: ...
King: OH MY GOD!
