Meliodas casually dropping “you are my purpose in life” to Elizabeth like a month after they met is INSANE. Bc from his side, makes sense. Fell in love when they were young from opposite sides of a war, risked everything to be together, have been finding and losing each other for 3000 years. But from her side, he is a cool guy she has a crush on (who is at least 15ish years older than her) who she might have known as a child. He also just described her as his entire life’s purpose. Like bro THATS CRAZYYY

Seeing Meliodas destroy the horn of cernunos is such a badass moment to me. The way he responds to her taunting with direct action and violence rather than his usual merciful beating around the bush. My favorite Mel moments are when he is using his silly goofy little guy façade and suddenly has to drop it. This is when we see a glimpse of who he was when leading the 10 commandments: arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage

it just so happens that arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage are my most prized qualities in any character

Meliodas gets a crush on the new normie transfer student, Elizabeth Liones, someone who he’s never said a full coherent sentence to. While he’s all hearts and goo goo eyes the entire time Zeldris is looking at him like:

“Brother what the fuck-“

The first time he actually met Elizabeth and talked to her for the first time he was having a really bad day at school, he was feeling so shitty and then the normie came out of nowhere handed him a scarecake (cupcake) .

“You looked really upset today, so I got you this scare cake from the school cafeteria cuz I thought you’d feel better with cake!”

And then when he gets home to hell, he's all dazed and distracted.

Then after about an hour of this Zeldris walks up to his brother…and punches him in the face

"PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER, SNAP OUT OF IT!!! This is just some Normie trying to get you to lower your guard down enough so that she can have you hanged!"

Meanwhile Ban (a silver werefox) has been trying to sike himself up enough to ask the demon out to prom and he’s rlly fucking nervous. Meliodas was demon royalty, although he knew Meliodas and Zeldris weren’t as snobby about social class but they’re family were different case entirely. It was actually rather like the De Niles now that he thought about it.

But he was also his best friend, what if it becomes awkward in the process?!!!

Elaine of course hyped him up "YOU CAN DO THIS!” Which gave him the confidence to at least try to ask him.

He was gonna ask him out in the changing room after they changed for scareball practice but he chickened out because Meliodas was shirtless and looked at him with his usual cheeky smile that made his knees weakHe changed the subject.

The fairy bonks him on the head after.
