Siren Au Lore

General Siren Headcanons

ꕥ Sirens come in many shapes, sizes, race and gender. They don't care what their mate identity as and will love you no matter what

ꕥ Have a shapeshifting ability were they can turn into humans, smaller animals, and sometimes other person ( which is rare for non-clown sirens)

ꕥ Can use their eyes, voice, and illusion magic to lure people in the water. They usually don't attack any boat that's in their  territory. Unfortunately some boats never come back, some do.

ꕥ Every siren have their own unique markings.Most of the common markings are on their chest and arms. Some have unique clown marks, sea freckles, whiskers like markings and star freckles.

ꕥ Hair color varies on traits of the parent. Accessories are a common thing to  siren kin. It varies to seashell beads, braid jewelry, and hair clips that's made out of sea beads

ꕥ  Most sirens have fin like ears, scales that litter around the nose, face, and shoulder. Some have glow in the dark hair, and markings.  Overall they have human like hands that are webbed and clawed.

ꕥ  All sirens are born with a unknown life span so it's very far in between that they die. But during a coming of age ceremony they become immortal. But they can get seriously injured by being stabbed in the chest with pure gold.

ꕥ They all have sharp teeth that can grow back as well as having the ability to  regenerate any part of their body. Can re-arange their whole skeletal structure in order to get to safety.

Relationships/Soulmates

߷  Soul ties are incredibly important in siren courting. Soulmates are more so a private matter so its only announced when relationships are completely bonded. Then a feast is hosted between the families or just the individuals involved.

߷  Sirens find their soulmate through smell, touch, and having this deep tug of emotions and longing. They can also see each other souls as well as other living beings soul. The color determines how strong the bond and how the relationship  is being formed.

߷   They can have up to 3 or 4 soulmates depending on the individual. In some cases they can share a soulmate even and eventually warm up to the other parties evolved. Though that doesn't mean they don't get possessive with their soul mate even if they know they can fend for themselves, sirens are protective over their mates.

߷   Marking is a huge part of courting, rather if they leave a bite mark that later turns to a symbol that let other sirens know their mate isn't for grabs all in favor of the consent for both parties. Others will rub there scent over their mate or over their jewelry, clothes in human from as other way of marking.

߷ For the most giving seashells, pearls, even their own scales are a part of the courting process.

߷  Soul bonds can also be platonic there just as strong  as a romantic one.

߷   Immortality is passed down to the offspring. It also spilt between the siren and their mate(s) making both of them immortal.

߷  Humans and siren relationships are acceptable but their some older siren folk who are quite judgemental due It the weary past between human and siren folk.

⊛  Siren genitalia has differently shapes and ridges. Most have different silicon textures that feels smooth to the touch.

⊛  They all vary in colors. Some look transcluent  with sparkles on them others has a solid to pale base or completely dark in general.

⊛  Male sirens have two cocks they are interchangeable meaning they can make it smaller/bigger. Some look more closer to a humans, some take more of a monster form  having similar features of a tentacle or tendril.

⊛ Female sirens also can have cocks as well since both gentaila is interchangeable meaning they can switch with whatever their most comfortable with which also applies to nonbinary/genderfluid sirens as well. The fem gentaila also can be translucent with various colors and shape. All gentaila can glow in the dark too

Not so fun fact: Siren!Leo doesn't have a left eye... During an encounter with the hunters, Leo was helping Siren!Taurus but then out of nowhere! And anchor/hook crashed into his left... Basically rendering that eye... Destroyed.

Crossover episode, Triton or Poseidon visit siren reader (why not?) and there's a very awkward and very one sided stand off between the gang.

Meanwhile the Menace, I mean, the child is running around like a possessed demonic gremlin making the worst human babies seem tame in comparison. They aren't even that dumb, they know what they're doing, or at least Hosea suspects they do.

Imagine siren reader seeing Poseidon in his human form and being like "pa! I missed you."

And then the vdl gang realizing just―they're in love with the child of a sea god. how does one approach that situation? Not rationally.

I imagine Poseidon is trying to get siren reader to come back into the ocean. To come live with him again. And the vdl gang is like... what do we do against a god? there's nothing we can do.

And siren child is just making it worse by clinging on their grandpa and asking a bunch of questions. They are biting a bunch of the other gang members. And manipulating them into doing what they want because they say they'll convince their parent to stay with the gang.

HELLO :D I am not done with my siren au yettttt

I wanted to write about each of the other sirens because i didnt realise i would enjoy making up stories and personalities for them so much, and they each have their own backstories that i only briefly mentioned if at all and i wanted to write that down :]

So um, here! Its about Alope, since she is the second oldest after Epolenep and also i have the most solid idea for her

It is safe to say, Alope is bored. So she sits on her bed in her little cabin on the little ship and listens to the shouting outside and swings her legs.

She didn't wanna be on this ship. She wanted to go home, her idiot older brother and distant parents that couldn't care less about her would be better than the glances full of hate and something darker that these men kept giving her. And like. She gets it, she's being married off to the prince of their country as a peace deal, and she knows that they don't want peace, everyone knows her parents only did this because they were losing the war, but like come on, they act like the rules of hospitality don't apply out here on their boat.

The shouting is louder than usual, actually. Alope decides that she may as well go and see what's going on, so she gets up, throws her shawl around her shoulders and pushes the door to her cabin open, and-

Theres a woman on the deck of the ship, all tangled up in the fishing nets and ropes. She is beautiful, in the way an eagle is beautiful, in the way a bejeweled dagger is beautiful.

The woman is a siren, Alope is pretty sure, and her sharp, hawk-like eyes meet Alope's blue ones, and she can see the allure of the wilderness within them. Because sure, a siren can sing a man to his doom, or even a woman, if she is particularly determined, but sometimes she does not need to sing. Alope has heard horror tales of girls lured into the sea by the promise of freedom, the promise of a better life, girls that have never been seen again.

She's dreamt of being one of those girls. Because surely it is worth the risk?

The siren has a harpoon lodged in her tail, and the captain of the ship, a horrid man who goes by the name of Apaistos, has his sword in his hands.

The siren watches Alope, her gaze almost teasing, asking her to join her in the vast, wild expanse of blue beneath them.

Alope steps forwards, hesitant at first. (How bad can it be, really? The horror stories were only horror because the people telling them were scared.)

She starts to walk towards the siren, picking up speed and she ducks between the men. (Even if i do drown, it will be better than marrying some prince who i do not care for and who does not care for me.)

Soon, Alope is running towards the siren, darting between her and the men. (I will not be tamed by this society and the men who think they're better than me.)

The captain pauses, a smirk crossing his face, "It would be such a shame if we were to reach the shore and a siren had carried you off into the ocean." He says.

Alope knows they've been looking for a moment to get rid of her, or something of the sort.

"Tie her up! Kill the siren." Apaistos calls out to his crew.

The siren tugs at Alope's skirt, "You will be okay." She says, her sharp fangs flashing in the light. And then she is gone, falling off the ship and back into the depths below, escaping someone's sword just in time.

The world suddenly seems a whole lot dimmer without the presence of the strange, bright creature that had been on the deck a moment ago.

Alope doesn't have long to ponder that, though, because her shawl is torn from her shoulders and her hands are bound behind her back.

She struggles, snarling and snapping at the men around her, but one hits the back of her head with the blunt side of his sword and Alope falls limp in their grasps, dazed.

They bind her ankles and legs next, and drag her to the side of the ship, one signal from the captain, and she is plunging into the water after the siren she so admired.

Alope never realised how important breathing is, she has always taken it for granted. It's a little bit less easy to take for granted when you can't actually breathe, when tendrils of pain wrap themselves around your lungs and squeeze, until you finally try to take a breath, and you can't- you can't, you can't there's only water, flooding into your mouth and making the pain worse, worse and then-

And then your world starts to go dark, the sunlight flickering through the water above you is awfully pretty, is it not?

Alope thinks she will not mind if the flickering branches of gold amongst turquoise and sapphire and all the other shades of blue and yellow and green is the last thing she sees.

So she lets go of life, and a golden-eyed God sighs as he watches her. It's such a shame for such a beautiful life, one so full of pain, to end so soon, to not even be given a chance to right itself, is it not?

And so Apollo breathes life and song into the girl, and Epolenep's promise that she would be okay comes true.

I had fun. I have decided that Alope is fun to write :D
