The sins waited (much) longer to have kids, are actually good parents, and raise their kids together - they overall stay together bc why have found family just to break them apart in the end, that's dumb

Dreyfus and Hendy (also best boy) are gay. Again, this one feels low key canon compliant. But yeah, they're dating

Tristan is proud of both his demon and goddess heritage, or at least he and Meliodas are on journeys of self acceptance together bc they're bad ass and I love them, especially as demons

Hawk Mama is still a weirdly goated mystery pig. Just kinda chaotic neutral being who just rlly likes being in the ground and having a bar on her back. Also Cath isn't fucking evil. I miss Cath

Baelfire: The Virtue of Humility (Banlaine Kid Breakdown)

Baelfire is the second prince of Benwick and the Gazelle virtue of Humility. He is the second son of the Greed Sin Ban and Fairy Queen Elaine. He is the last member of the Virtues to join up. He is also the youngest virtue.

Baelfire is about 6 years younger than Lancelot. Baelfire looks up to him a lot, and was only 4 when Lance disappeared with Jericho. He did not understand why his brother would not visit. Lancelot does love Baelfire, but doesn’t show it very often. They have a complicated relationship.

He’s only 3 years younger than Junior, and keeps in close contact with that part of his family as Baelfire had no other friends growing up.

His name means “bonfire,” and refers to the Gaelic May Day festival, Beltane. It’s a celebration of the height of spring, around the time he was born.

He’s very close with his parents, because after Lance left with Jericho, he was the only child they had to focus on. He resembles both of his parents. He has his mothers soft eyes. He will be tall like his father.

He also knows Emerel, but not well, because his memories of when Jericho was around would be from when he was very young.

He whistles a lot, and plays a wooden flute. I believe it was a gift from his Uncle Harlequin.

He is very much opposite of Lancelot in some ways. He smells like honeysuckle, while Lance smells rather sour. Baelfire prefers sweets while Lance prefers salt. Baelfire is a softer kid than Lance, and prefers to avoid fights if he can.

Recent Concept art

He is the only active prince in Benwick, performing duties properly and responsibly even at a young age. He’s a humble little prince and asks for nothing in return. This leads into him fitting in as the Humility Virtue. He sees it all as his duty and strives to be the best prince he can be.

He feels he can’t get any better than Lance is, because of how much older he is, and how much cooler he thinks his brother is. He wants to be able to protect people he loves but feels he will never catch up to Lance.

He was there when Lance and Tristan had their incident, but was probably occupied playing with Violet. He stayed with his mother when Elizabeth was sick in GoE.

Baelfire’s fairy abilities include reading hearts, a control over the wind (inherited from his mother.), the ability to “talk” with the forest, and the general skill with plants most fairies have.

Much like Lance, Baelfire is highly skilled in combat (thanks to fighting with his father) and has heightened physical abilities and reflexes.

Baelfire’s fairy appearance is undecided so far, but I’d like it to be fairly similar to his mother and he would not have wings yet.

Baelfire wields a spear called “Ventus”, and can use it as transportation by standing on it like a skateboard and manipulating the wind. He could theoretically use it like a witch’s broom, but finds it uncomfortable.

I haven’t decided if Ventus is a sacred treasure yet, but most of the way Baelfire uses it is in conjunction with his wind powers. His spear and arrows will always find their target dead on.

Sometimes he can direct where Ventus goes with his whistling.

I’m not sure what story I want to approach with Baelfire. But I feel like there should be an ongoing arc of Baelfire trying to live up to his father and more so the idolized view he has of his brother. And how it’s not to prove anything to others— it’s merely so he can be the best prince and knight he can be and help others.

Say what you will about Nanatsu no taizais flaws, as far as relationships go, it is superb. There's no will they won't they, you know who is important to who, and just how far they'll go for each other. It's really remarkable in that anime don't typically pull it off. The ships are clear and get you invested without needless one sided pining for hundreds of chapters/episodes. This is how to write romance in shounen. Please continue.

Meliodas casually dropping “you are my purpose in life” to Elizabeth like a month after they met is INSANE. Bc from his side, makes sense. Fell in love when they were young from opposite sides of a war, risked everything to be together, have been finding and losing each other for 3000 years. But from her side, he is a cool guy she has a crush on (who is at least 15ish years older than her) who she might have known as a child. He also just described her as his entire life’s purpose. Like bro THATS CRAZYYY

Seeing Meliodas destroy the horn of cernunos is such a badass moment to me. The way he responds to her taunting with direct action and violence rather than his usual merciful beating around the bush. My favorite Mel moments are when he is using his silly goofy little guy façade and suddenly has to drop it. This is when we see a glimpse of who he was when leading the 10 commandments: arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage

it just so happens that arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage are my most prized qualities in any character

Febuwhump 2024: Day 29 - Not Allowed to Die

Everyone has that one character they will always defend, and Princess Guinevere is mine. She's a sheltered child who dreamed for years and years of her pain and suffering, with Lancelot being her silver lining.

She knew she was being kidnapped but didn't care because of Lancelot and the thought of being with him one day. She's kind and loyal. She's loving and affectionate. She just didn't know boundaries yet because she's a 12 year old kid, like Aang from A:TLA. That doesn't mean they were in the right, but it does mean they have room to grow and will realize what they did was wrong. It's a learning experience.

I really don't get why some people complain about Elaine looking like a child when Meliodas and King also look like children, canonically? There are countless of scenes of other characters not buying Meliodas as the leader of 7DS because "he's a child".

Also how is Elaine supposed to look like a tall and mature-looking woman when her entire race literally looks teenager at most? So Elaine as well as other fairies are forever forbidden to fall in love with humans because they look child-like and therefore them having any kind of relationship with an adult human is pedophilic? TLDR: People be fussing over Elaine looking like a child but not Meliodas nor King, who also both look like children and I find that pretty hypocritical

Meliodas spends the series touching Elizabeth in inappropriate places, something she doesn't actively comment to until season two after Meliodas comes back to life.

King is an adult, if Diane were to be a human, she'd be around the same age as Elizabeth. It kinda baffles me how people can hate Banlaine knowing this.
