Oh he already groaned in frustration when he heard you wanted to go shopping because you was invited to the wedding of your sister.

Shikamaru was already aware that he not only needed to attend the wedding but also going shopping with you. He sat there looking at you with tired dark eyes while he had a toothpick between his lips, watching how you paced around the room while talking to your mom.

With his oh so smart thoughts he tried to get ready like morally to go shopping with you. Not that he disliked it per se but alone the fact that it was a store full of clothes, hours would go byfor you to look for the "perfect" dress, and he just wanted to chill under the clouds.

But as your boyfriend he knew his duties, aware he needed to do it with you  after all why should he pass the option to "decide" what dress suits you the best. When you then hung up on the phone you looked at him, your gaze loving and excited because of the news.

"Not even a little glimpse of motivation huh." You mused out loud when your eyes locked with his. He took out the toothpick from his lips before he stretched his back.

"We both know I won't even stand a chance against the shopping thing or the whole wedding thing." Shikamaru yawned before you stepped closer to him. He sat on the edge of the bed and you placed yourself between his manspread legs. Laying your hands on top of his shoulders gazing down at him.

"You know when it's really thaaaat bad for you I can-" you wanted to tell him when je really would dislike the idea of going to a wedding ceremony or even shopping, he wouldn't have to, after all you was indeed really understanding. One of the things je loved about you. But the clever shinobi interupted you placing his hands on your waist, pulling you just a little closer and looking up into your pretty face, what showed him how concerned you was. You was could smell the faint scent of cigarettes. He wasn't uncomfortable to go, he was just an lazy ass and he knew that. So Shikamaru would do it, for your sake.

"Nah, even I am aware that this is one of those boyfriend duties I need to attend. And I love you even more than my holy sleep or watching clouds. I will get over it." Shika spoke maybe a little grumbly but that was his decision to accompany you in this. You chuckled then and laid a hand on his cheek marvleing at his skin and you found it endearing how knee he just an lazy ass. A handsome and smart lazy ass to be honest.

"Boyfriend duties hm? But fine I won't complain so get ready, baby. We go shopping this weekend. After all I need a new dress." You Said with that little wicked smile and your sarcastic tone. Why you was just an evil but so pretty temptress? Why does he sacraficed his sleep and lazy afternoons just for you? A mircale he probably would never solve.

And the minute you two stepped into a store he straight wanted to go to the dress section, although you seemed to have other plans, you wanted to browse a little through the store, not just to look at what you need but to see what you might want.

"Babe, you look at this clothes, eyeing saying 'this is cute' just to not even take it to the changing room. So where is the point in that?" Shikamaru asked with that irritaed voice, watching you browse through the section. A small smile tugged at your lips before you turned your head around.

"Not everything has to be logical right? I just want to see what I probably would like but mostly can't afford or don't really need. But I still want to look." You tried to explain that, although it was just typical behaviour for you. He shurgged his shoulders continued to walk behind you.

After you was done and took a few dresses to the changing room, Shikamaru sat down on this armchair in front of it, like the typical boyfriend should do. Just waiting for you to present him the dress you tried on. After all it should be fitting for a wedding.

You took some minutes as you stepped out of the cabin. This dress was indeed really good but you kinda looked not really convinced. His eyes ranked you up and down before they settled on your unsatisfyed face. "Whats wrong, babe?" He asked then, before he would give his opinion. The shinobi was a smart man, not saying something wrong before he would clearly knew what was disturbing you.

"Don't know kinda looks...cheap on me like with those rhinestones...I thought it would be cute but it isn't at all." You sighted and then he cocked his head to the side, his eyebrows pulled together before he rested his chin on his oalm. Yeah he wasn't the one for shopping but he would give you feedback when you really wanted it.

"Well cheap is the wrong word, it's not cheap. It just not bringing out the best. You have better dresses at home." His voice collective as he eyed you. Even when this dress wasn't ideal you still was a sight to behold.

After some more dresses were he always looked up and said something to it. Shikamaru sat there looking down to his fingers that fidget with the hem of his vest. Before you stepped out again. And this time it was the perfect dress. Black and long, flattering your figure and curves. Your waist snatched with a slit in the right thigh. Gorgeous. It was just absolutly gorgeous. When he looked at you he runned a hand through his hair, cleared his throat. Just observing you before he made a move with his finger, what means that you should turn around for him.

Even your backside, he indeed liked it really much in general was breathtaking. The usually so composed and lazy shinobi gluped hard, so his adam apple bobbed in his throat.

"What you say? It's a little bold maybe, usually I don't wear this but-" you wanted to start your explanation but before this could get iut of hand he stopped you. Besides the fact that this was indeed stunning on you this was the opportunity to go out of this shop, you found the dress you would need.

"Take it. You Look good, actually more than good. Flattering even." He replied, still his eyes roamed over you. Such a pretty girlfirend, the young man thought to himself.

After you paid for the dress you and Shikamaru walked out. Indeed it had been a while but it was not so long, as what he thought it would be. A small smile tugged at his lips, a smirk perhaps, a smart smirk. As soon as you two were outside again he lit on a cigarette took a drag before looking at you. "You know probably this wedding we need to attend won't be too bad, then I can oggle you the entire time." Hlhe Snickers at his own words. Before you have him, quiet a playful nudge. "Oggle me huh? I will oggle you too, after all we still need to get something you can wear too, Shika." You spoke and he could swear for a moment he saw a devilish grin. But then the realization kicked in he took the cigarette with two fingers out of his mouth.

"What do you mean with for me?" Poor hoy thinking shopping was over, you still needed fitting shoes and besides that he would need a suit. And Shika probably would look so good in it.

"Like how I said it, clever boy. We need a suit or something like that for you. Oh don't give me that look." You teased, patted his cheek.

"For someone who always knows every move I could make and has like battle strategy plans...you should have known that we are not done yet." You said to him with a small giggle. Then you leaned forward placed a cheeky kiss on his lips before you walked further.

"You will be the death of me." Shikamaru meant before he literally didn't have a choice and continued the shopping spree

AITA for telling my best friend I'm in love with her mother?

I (18m) have been friends with this girl (I'll call her S for this, 18f) forever. I can’t remember a time when we weren't friends. We've always spent a lot of time at each other's houses, though more at hers as her family is wealthy and has a really nice place with an in-ground pool... and also her mom just makes the best snacks lol

Her mom and I have always had a good rapport. She's a funny lady, charismatic, kind, and did I mention the bomb-ass snacks? I had a sort of a puppy love crush on her as a kid, but as we've gotten older the feelings have only gotten stronger. Meanwhile, S has had a crush on me since middle school. She isn't subtle, but she hasn't confessed and I haven't brought it up because I'm not interested and I don't want to hurt her or lose her as a friend. S has caught me checking her mom out a few times, one time even walking in on me in the bathroom while I was trying to lowkey check out her mom in the pool through the window. I don’t think she ever put together what was going on, though.

I never planned on acting on my feelings for her mom, but since her dad took off, I'm pretty sure I've been getting flirty vibes from S's mom? I might be seeing what I want to see instead of what's there, but like... Okay, so, this summer she's been paying me to do some of the housework her husband used to take on. Mowing the lawn and stuff. And S's mom will come out with just a towel on to tell me I missed a spot. To me, that seems flirty.

I never thought I'd have a chance, but now that it seems I might, I kind of wanna go for it? I mean, I'm 18 now, so it's legal, so I don't see why it would be a problem? I'm beginning to suspect that he heavily values freedom and being able to go where he wants and do what he wants. That includes taking you wherever you wanna go. Even at max affinity he has the same response--'we're going somewhere, anywhere you want.' At max affinity he doesn't mention an R&R permit--which suggests he doesn't care if you get in trouble going out, as long as you actually get to go out. One of the first things we see him talking about relating to Darkwick is asking Leo if he regrets going--I think Sho regrets it. He can't leave whenever he wants, even though he's one of the top students as far as grades, he's more restricted in what he's allowed to do and when. . .so I think these offers to drive you anywhere in total freedom are his ways of showing you what means the most to him. Just. . .being able to do whatever, whenever. I think that's also part of why he likes Leo so much. Leo doesn't let himself be restricted either. Leo gets into fights and into trouble and Sho complains about it but he understands the liberation. Sho wants to see that unrestricted you, I think. Even if it isn't anything extreme, even if it isn't anything exciting. He wants to see what you're like out of Darkwick's cage. So he'll take you on little joyrides into freedom. Show him where you go and what you do when no one's there to stop you.

I STILL FEEL LIKE I CHOSE A BUNCH THIS ONE IS ALSO ALL OF THEM NOW . . .Sho is pretty lowkey. But after rereading them all and giving it some thought, you can definitely get a feel for his character. He seems like he keeps busy a lot--he's always doing something. Cooking, playing sports, reading, memorizing his textbooks. . .he's confident and comfortable and sometimes he's a bit rough around the edges. And sometimes he's a little flirty too, if he likes you. But that's all part of how confident and self-assured he is--and he has plenty of reason to be when he's so smart and skilled at damn near everything he touches. He acts more like the senpai character here. He's a lot like Haku, except where Haku is a bit lazier and less motivated(although he still works hard) Sho is always on the go. Always up to something, always trying something. He likes to keep busy and doesn't like to sit still--to the point that he even considers going to class when he's got nothing to do during the day. He wakes up and has nothing to do? Let's call Leo, he's usually got something going on. He complains about Alan making him work out so much or go to the pit or play basketball real hard? He still goes and does it anyway. But it seems like he just. . .always wants to be busy. I can't really think of many points he just kinda had downtime. Yeah, he goes fishing and reads and watches basketball(?) but like. . .he's still occupied even then. Then again maybe that's because he's stuck in Darkwick. He'd rather be driving around somewhere or doing some sport but he can't do so much unless he can leave. . .he feels a little restless to me. But maybe that's just me haha.

okay look, i wasn't planning to at first and it's not like it was completely my fault. he wanted to read it!

i was showing him how badly they fucked up mu qingfang in the donghua by comparing it to the english novel design (he said that mu qingfang went from looking like a soft dilf to a predator registered on the epstein island list). and then, i showed him how different some of the other character designs were like gongyi xiao's ("he looks like he'd be a genshin character" -friend, to eng novel design) and luo binghe's ("lowkey, he kinda gives airbender vibes" -friend, to bunhe eng novel design)

so that was all i was gonna show him, nothing else. but after seeing them, he goes, "these designs actually look hella cool. what's the book called?"

yes you absolutely can! I wrote headcanons instead of a full fic because those are always a bit easier for me (these are longer than I originally planned because of how much I got into it lol)

The Toymaker losing a game to a reader who wants to dance with him

Warnings: only brief descriptions of the actual dancing because I suck at it and therefore don't know how to describe it properly (sorry), The Toymaker is really sweet and honestly a simp, plus the ending is really sappy because I'm such a sucker for that kind of stuff

Like most unsuspecting mortals, you didn't expect much when you first stumbled into The Toymaker's shop, though you were pleasantly surprised when you saw just how attractive the keeper of the shop was

While he was going on and on about how foolish you were and how you weren't allowed to leave his realm until you beat him at a game, you were focused on thinking about just how fun it would be to dance with him

You wondered what type of dance would suit him best. The tango? Nah, too flashy. Slow dancing? He didn't look like he could calm down and stay in one place long enough to do it properly. Perhaps something else...?

The sound of someone clearing their throat cut through your thoughts, and you realized he'd stopped talking once he noticed you weren't paying attention to him

"Did you even hear anything that I just said?" He grumbled with his arms crossed, looking like a pouty child

You held back a laugh while nodding your head. "Yeah, yeah, I have to play a game with you, and if I lose I stay here forever. But what happens if I win?"

The grouchy look dropped from his face when you spoke, pleased that you'd at least heard the basics. "You won't. No one ever beats me," he said smugly

"But if I do? What then?" You further pressed, not willing to let go of the topic so easily

The Toymaker huffed, rolling his eyes at you. "If you win, then you get your freedom. That's it"

"Really? That sounds so... boring," you responded with an unimpressed look on your face

He let out a sigh of exasperation while rubbing at his temple. "Fine, fine. What do you want if you win?" He asked through gritted teeth, not used to players who were so unbearably annoying. Arrogant and overconfident, sure, but none with a personality like yours

Your eyes lit up at his question, and you answered immediately. "I want to dance with you"

"You- what?" He was confused, for sure. Out of anything you could ask him for, you chose that?

"I want to dance with you," you repeated, unyielding in your response. "If you win, I stay here forever, but if I win, I get one dance with you of my choice." You extended your hand for him to shake. "Deal?"

The Toymaker thought it over before taking your hand, a sinister grin on his face as he accepted. "Deal. Though I should have you know, no one has ever beaten me before"

"Well, there's a first time for everything," you quipped back, flashing him a mischievous smile of your own

He narrowed his eyes at you as he took his hand back, now determined more than ever to beat you. Unfortunately for him, he didn't. Somehow you'd gotten into his head, and he wasn't as alert as he'd usually be

He thought he'd be angry upon losing, but for some reason he felt oddly giddy. The thought of getting to dance with you had permeated his thoughts and made it difficult for him to focus on anything else, hence one of the reasons why he lost

"I win!" You triumphantly announced for the third time in a row, something that would usually make The Toymaker want to destroy everything in sight, but since it was coming from you he just didn't have the heart

He merely sighed and nodded his head in agreement. "Yes, yes, you win. Now, what type of dance did you want to do?"

"Hmm..." That was a good question. You hadn't given it much thought since the deal had been made, but then it suddenly hit you. "Let's waltz! You know how to waltz, right?"

He scoffed, looking slightly offended. "Yes, of course I know how to waltz. What a ridiculous question to ask"

"Great! Now, we just need a place to-" With a snap of his fingers, the toyshop suddenly transformed, an elegant ballroom in the middle of it while the shop remained on the outside. And it all happened before you could even finish your sentence. "-dance. That works, I guess"

He tried not to show it, but The Toymaker was nervous, a character trait that he was unfamiliar with, no matter how often he caused (and even relished) it when it appeared in other people

He thought it would be best if he let you take the lead, seeing as you clearly knew more about the subject than he did. As nonchalant as he tried to be, he still couldn't help the blush that formed on his face when he felt you take his hands in yours and start to guide him around the room

He was embarrassed anytime he bumped into you or accidentally stepped on your feet, but when you just laughed it off and told him there was no reason to apologize he felt his heart soar

He wasn't sure how long the two of you stayed like that, moving around the room as you danced in (almost) perfect harmony, but he knew the disappointment he felt when it was finally time for you to go

"Well, that was certainly a lot of fun." Even though you were a little tired from all the dancing you'd done, you had a bright smile on your face, an indicator that you'd enjoyed yourself

"Yes, yes it was." It didn't take a genius to realize The Toymaker seemed more than just a little upset when he saw you were going to leave, even though he was trying to act like it wasn't bothering him

"I can come back to visit you, if you want," you offered softly, not missing the way his eyes seemed to light up at your words. "We can do some more dancing, or we can just talk. I wouldn't mind getting to hang out with you"

He was speechless, something that didn't happen often. You actually wanted to spend time with him, willingly? He wouldn't have to trap or trick you?

You continued when he didn't say anything. "I have to go, but I'll come back in tomorrow, okay?" Before he could react, you leaned in and gave him a soft kiss. "Bye," you said with a wave as you turned and left his shop

Even if he didn't win the game, that didn't matter to him, because he got something even better; your affection. And the kiss you gave him at the end was, in his opinion, the greatest prize of all

Been seeing this, so I thought I'd do my 2024 art Summary!

The ups and downs this year was so unpredictable I won't lie, one moment things are good then the next it's suddenly bad and vice versa. I want to post more often and regularly, but alas life gets in the way.

I've been honestly more focused on my oc's and I really want to post more of them but I'm still a little shy about it and fighting the two–no three wolves inside me where one cares about how many people sees them vs. the other just wanting post them out there vs. "nah you don't need to show them to the public" but uh... The last one–I mean I plan to publish a novel about them someday so lmao no choice buddy

I do have such fleshed out au's too of some fandoms I'm in. Most notably DDLC and Genshin, like I made my own world building and everything for DDLC, the timeline shouldn't be too hard since I'll follow what is from the game, and also an OC that was just one of my characters Lenra (you'd see more of her on my oc blog) since I loved doing crossovers of my story and other medias or just using them as fandom oc's lol, but I did replace her with a proper DDLC Oc already I named Zansurika, she's yet to be designed!

I have characters for every Element + Nation (so just 7) for Genshin and they were made back when Inuzama just released so some of their lore changed on the way. The main Character is called Lihara, which is her biological name but she's adopted and grew up in Inazuma and her adopted name is Inakishi Nichiko.

I really want to show them off once things settle better + I get more courage!!

Ash: They're pretty satisfied with their Pyrokinesis, although the edgier side of them thinks MC's Umbrakinesis is cool af.

Rin: They really like their Precognition ability, despite it often giving them headaches. It's an acceptable price for being able to plan ahead for various possibilities. If they have to pick another ability though, it'll probably be Telepathy.

Santana: Oh, yes, please. They're not really a big fan of their ability; the only thing they like from it is the possibility of helping some cases as a detective. But if they can pick another ability, it will probably be Healing ability. They love helping people and maybe in another universe, they would've ended up getting into the medical profession.

Skylar: Nah, they're completely satisfied with the Flight and Density Manipulation abilities they have right now.

Luka: His blinking and teleporting ability is good (especially when he's feeling lazy ), but ngl, he would've preferred Haemokinesis like Jackal's; it's an insanely strong ability.

Grandpa: As you've expected, he's perfectly content with his Compulsion ability. But, if he had to pick one other than that, it would probably be MC's gravikinesis. Just imagine how scary he would be with that 😣

Viktor: As much as his Power Duplication power is pretty unique and can sometimes be useful in disabling others' abilities for a while, he'd be lying if he had never hoped to have a more normal ability of his own that he can cultivate and now every aspect of. One of the powers he had always imagined having is Flight. Imagine all the pictures he could take with that!

Grandma: Cryokinesis is good for intimidation factor, but honestly, she would've preferred an ability that'll be more useful for negotiations and discussions that she often did on behalf of Grandpa. Probably Empathy or Telepathy; she would've had people wrapped around her fingers with those.

Cara: She loves her Doppelgänger ability and probably won't change it for anything else. But she has always wondered how it feels to copy abilities instead like Viktor.

Onto 2025~

Happy New Year friends~ I say 3 days later... xD;; In 2025 I plan to vastly cut on my "to-do" list and focus on 1-2 things at a time. That tends to usually fall very quickly with me being - alright, I can squeeze one more thing.

I want to focus more on my physical health this year, at least in the first half, and less on "art goals," which I tend to prioritize. I'm kinda excited to plan my meals again and try new recipes. I won't get another body, I should pamper and cherish this one more.

I do want to work more on my site too. It's still a work in progress but it's coming together xD Please Look Forward To It™ It's going to be my little arts and projects hub! I don't think I have the energy to do youtube and to be honest, I'm not happy with youtube. I feel like whatever time and energy I may pour there will ultimately go towards feeding the algorithm of a soul-crushing capitalistic-driven hell that I yap against so very often. I still enjoy doing art videos when time and energy allow it but I don't want the pressure of racing with youtube's standards or whatever and being immediately flooded with "how to make good videos!" recommendations like some looming nasty voice asking me to "do better" and "do more" ... nah, I ain't about that life lol I also don't want to put anyone through the friggin ads that pop all the time. F that noise.

So, if I do more art videos, I will see about posting them on my site. I think it's a matter of habit to work on it and gradually make it a cozy little corner for me. I feel like with all social media hubs nowadays we have forgotten the joy of owning a site and having your own little space.

And lastly, it's the year of the snake!! It's Sneric's year :D! I hope to finish "The Snake, The Firebrand and The King of All" this year ...which I haven't updated since October(?) (ahhh!!) but I'm working on line-arting the next chapter. I didn't want my Holiday time off to be just hunched over the iPad drawing the comic...xD;; so I admit, I didn't prioritize it as much. I also want to do a New Year drawing of our favorite Sneric since it is his year!! But likely not this week.

I have started a really cool book that was in my backlog for SO long and now I can't put it down... I'm halfway there, maybe I can finish it before the vacation is over! It is so very chonky! 600 something pages... Sadly it's in Bulgarian and not translated (yet?) I hope one day it will be so I can recommend it. ;u;

Something that bugs me a little is the insistence that Gohan actively hates to fight period. Bc that's not true!

(This ignores everything that happened outside the original manga/the DBZ anime)

Yes, he lacks Goku's or Vegeta's laser-focus on all things martial arts, but let's be real, all half Saiyans do. Goten & Trunks sure have more passion for fighting than Gohan does but they're much more "human" about it than their dads and have other interests in their lives too.

But while Gohan originally became a fighter out of necessity and had little choice in the matter there are instances when he clearly shows that he is totally capable of enjoying himself in a fight.

For once there's obviously his fight against Cell - once he snapped his "Saiyan side" took the lead and he was enjoying himself a little too much (and ruined it, like a good Saiyan must).

But it also becomes clear in the early Buu arc. Yeah, initially he's not rly interested in the tournament and wouldn't have participated if not for Videl forcing him.

But once he was in he was in. He even got a little annoyed by Videl interrupting his training, and he did want to win. If he really hated it so much he could have entered with the plan of failing the preliminaries, or losing in the first round. But the thought never crossed his mind. I think if you'd suggested he botches it deliberately to get out of it he'd been horrified.

He was going to have fun with it! I think his most "Saiyan" trait is that he's a bit of a showman lol. He likes to be flashy! And he likes to boast! He COULD have just used a plain costume and mask to hide hid identity but nope, Great Saiyaman it is! He likes being seen and being known as a crazy strong superhero. Maybe he'd have been into pro-wrestling with their fancy costumes and showmanship

Even before things went off the rails at the tournament and Buu arc was set in motion he was ready to go. And yes his crush on Videl might have served as motivation: "haha cool she won't be disappointed if someone beats her dad! (I can date her if I beat her dad)" -> he WOULD have thrown Satan out of the ring if he'd gotten to fight him, no questions asked.

And once he, Goku & Vegeta are in Babidi's spaceship it gets even clearer: now, no one is forcing him to fight. Ofc Gohan always wanted to fight when it was necessary, even at 5yo he wouldn't stay home, he made it very clear that he was going to Namek.

But while they were going through the levels in Babidi's ship this still wasn't a serious thing. Pui Pui and Yakon were a joke for them. Vegeta was getting pissed, ok, but aside from that it was just fun and games for them, and Gohan could easily have said "nah have at it you two, I'm sitting this one out" but never once did he so much as consider NOT taking part in rock-paper-scissoring it out to decide who gets to go first.

He was eager to fight Dabra! Dabra told them to take him on 3:1 and Gohan flat out told him "no way, this is MY fight!". And if Vegeta had interfered with that fight to end it quicker I'm 100% sure Gohan would have decked him in the face and told him to fuck off. (Maybe that would have cooled Geets' mood a little lol.)

The problem isn't that Gohan hates fighting from the bottom of his heart. He doesn't. The problem is he grew up with a dad who was 100% a fighter and a mum who was 100% into education, and he didn't find a balance. He didn't even know that might be an option! He thought he'd HAVE to choose one thing, and one alone, and so he chose education.

Who could have taught him otherwise? Maaaaybe Piccolo (post-reunification with Kami), but tbh I think he didn't want to give Gohan the feeling he had to fight. I think Piccolo feels a little bad for putting 4-5yo Gohan through the wringer so much.

Like idk. Let my boy be both. Let him have Goku's legacy as well as make his own!

(I've read about Dragon Ball Online a little and tbh Gohan writing a book on ki and making it widely known? Perfect. I love it. Best idea ever. Probably the best thing that happened to DB since the original manga and Z anime ended. I am accepting this as canon 100%.)
