What happened, Captain? I made some mistakes and I lost everything I cared about. And I moved forward by never letting anybody get so important to me that I had to go through that kind of loss again. But, apparently, I'm not very good at it, because you, Buck, and Chimney have become important to me. Just let us in, Bobby.

―thoughts: bobby backstory! no words, just pain, but no less beautiful. buck and abby first meeting and looking around for her mom? i love that. and when i look at buck from season 7 and then look at this buck from season 1, i just want to cry because he grew a lot as a character. he still as unhinged as buck in this episode is, but still it's beautiful to see a character became a better person. not just buck, but every single characters. also, the start of hen arc with how manipulative eva is and how an angel karen is. and i also love how this episode show hen as a perceptive person that is one of my favorite thing about her. what an interesting episode.

Ugly Betty says NO to Prop 8 (2008)

Jim bought a life size Obama (card board cut out)—it stands by our front door.

Neighbors in the last duplex across the street put up two “No on 8” signs and an Obama sign yesterday. 

The “Yes on 8” duplex across the street pointed their sign toward our house. Actually, they have two.   And they put up a McPalin sign after we put up the life sized Obama.

Ugly Betty, her Dad and sister did a “No on 8” ad last night during Ugly Betty, aimed at Latinos. 

It ran later, too.

Diane Feinstein also has a powerful ad “it will change the constitution. It (Prop. 8) equals discrimination.”

The Yes on 8s stole Troy’s  porch light.  They put in their porch light.

You can see that Project 25 was already brewing with the advent of Proposition 8 and its ban on gay marriage which passed in 2008. 2008 is not that long ago. Even though Proposition 8 was later overturned and the right for gays to marry has been made a part of the California Constitution as of November 5, 2024 passage of Proposition 3, there are lots of people out there like our across the street "Yes on 8" neighbor mentioned in the above 2008 entry. They want to force us back into the dark pre Stone Wall days. In other words , they want us silenced, back in the closet and locked in forever. We have to "point our signs" back at them and say, no, we are out, proud and we are not going back. Once you see, you cannot unsee!

Now 6 days after watching arcane for the first time did i notice that in the dinner scene when jinx reveals the plate, it's a cupcake.. (i know this is such a "i never realized they're holding a plate of corn" moment), i just genuinely never acknowledged that it's a cupcake, i always just thought about how it's not caitlyn on that plate, it's the gemstone. Which makes me think does jinx know that vi calls caitlyn cupcake?? Because a cupcake is such a specific thing to put on that plate..

Am I the only young person that feels completely out of touch from all types of media, and just pop culture in general? Like someone will reference an insanely popular band, and I won’t know the band by name, only by their songs. 😭 Or someone will mention a celebrity that has been really popular for 10+ years, and I won’t be able to recognize them by their face, I’m just familiar with the names. I’m on social media a ton, but still don’t know who 8/10th of the popular influencers currently are, and I hardly watch movies, read books, or watch tv shows. Like I’m completely a blank slate, it’s insane, lol.

Does anyone have any book, music, tv show, or movie recs?

It's the principle of the thing!

I’m back from (a much needed) vacation ☀️ and I finally bit the bullet and watched season 14 of bobs burgers. And by that I mean I rewatched the entire show, for like the 10th time. So I thought I can’t really journal about it because I already have two spreads on the show so I decided to do a character page starting with the dad we all wished we had Bob Belcher 🍔. Obv I had to include his iconic oh my God’s and I finally made use of the fast food stickers I got 3 years ago in Korea 😭. Also pls peep my nails I was so proud of them I did it for the inside out 2 movie 😜

being on winter break at the same time as the pjo revolution is really terrible for my sleep schedule

i've read one pjo book each day but i only read at night so i last night i read all of sea of monsters and went to bed at 4:30am, and tonight i just finished titan's curse and it's currently 3am.

I am just not feeling it right now, so it might be a little while before the next part of the crossover comes out.

I'm not stuck on ideas per se, so once I get back in the mood I'll probably finish part 2 quickly, but yeah.

Fun dream last night! Has anyone seen that new Fallout show on Amazon? Well, I basically had a Fallout dream last night! I was in this weird camp and I think I might've been a prisoner or was captured or something. Anyway, I helped lead a revolution to break out to go and live in the wilds. The Ghoul was with me helping out and there were SO many cool places to explore.

Anyway! Let me know down below what you know about Fallout and where you'd be in the universe. Vault person? Ghoul? Person of the wilds? Man of Steel?
