Now that my clan is old enough, I'm now finding kits by themselves and my cats are just also pumping out kits so I'm still overwhelmed by kits.

My medicine cat in Clangen kept finding dead queens and taking their kits

To the level that I had like 10+ kits all with the abandoned backstory

Also, I love that the first queens name was Fax Machine. She watches her kits from the afterlife.

I haven't read the Warrior Cats books in many, many moons but every now and then I'll stumble upon fanart or something that mentions yet another canonical death of a character I didn't even realize was on the roster of characters that might conceivably be killed off, and looking back on how few named characters live long enough to make it to the elder's den, and how few manage to die of old age whether or not they do, instead of going down to sickness, predators, natural disasters, cars, and fights with other cats,

I gotta admit, despite initial appearances Erin Hunter's Warriors series might be the greatest PSA for keeping your fucking cats inside.
