Jiwoo seo is special. He has the power of super speed. Due to this abnormality hes kept it a secret his whole life. One day he picks up an injured cat which turns out to be the extremely famous and dangerous awakener kayden break who turned into a cat to protect himself and doesnt have enough power to turn back. Kayden tells jiwoo about awakeners which is people with powers like jiwoo and agrees to train him.

This is a really fun series. I love the found family and kayden and jiwoo’s father son dynamic. The battles are really dynamic and interesting. The world building is interesting too. (also kayden is hot lmao) its on webtoon but the unofficial translations are ahead by like 40 chapters so 

Papa wolf and the puppy(king of wolves)

Okay so this is lowkey the funniest shit ever and allow me to explain why: this started with a wolf and a puppy hanging out in the forest and then RANDOMLY the author did a human au and a few chapters later started a newass story where they’re human and its an ex gang boss raising a little kid he found in the fucking woods he was hiding out in. 

Its really cute. Im always a big fan of adults adopting little guys and raising them to be better than them(kayden and jiwoo). I like all the characters and i love that the kid is named potato. Very very cute

Dam of the Forest

Dam had a strange power to make things grow. Plants and even people grow when he touches them. As he gets older he stays the same size and no longer ages. His powers get stronger and eventually he secludes himself in a forest for a very long time. He them comes across a group of travelers who tell him that the world has turned into a wasteland other than this forest due to pollution. 

Like i said its really really sad. Its not that long so far so im excited to see how it develops. Idk what else to say other than if u wanna read something sad go for it.

Phantom School

This is a bit of a shot in the dark but still. 

Ingan kim was given a job as a teacher just as he wanted. However the school he goes to teach for is a school for phantoms and if they find out hes a human they’l kill him. Having to keep this a secret and keep his nerves under wraps turns to be quite difficult for him along with educating the young undead. 

Imma be honest this premise is an A+ for me. Obsessed. But otherwise the storytelling is very interesting to me but its also rather short so far but im very invested. (my only complaint is one of the translations i was reading did my least favorite thing manwha translations do where they change the korean names to english ones halfway through)

Aimu is an extremely tall, big man but despite his towering stature he loves all things pink and cute. A true king if you will. However one day an extremely rude classmate tells him that everyone finds him weird and gross for his interests which makes him shut them down completely only dressing in black and such. Untill one day he meets kohaku who is the owner of a stuffed animal shop that quickly befriends him seeing his underlying interest in her wares and wants him to embrace his interests more. 

Kohaku is the girlboss to aimus malewife. Im sorry. In all seriousness this tackles the ideas of self expression and the breaking of gender roles. The characters are funny as hell and i like all of them a normal amount.

Ive been reading this recently and i really like it. Its implanted itself so badly in my brain that when my friend and i went to see doctor strange (neither of us knew anything about btw please dont ask) this is what i was thinking about 

Tobari is a demon that love humans and wants all humans and demons to live peacefully and be friends. To do this go goes to shinonome village where his old friend sayuri lived to start his bloodless conquest of the demon world. There he meets reimei a barrier artist and the towns exorcist who keeps the demons in line and they quickly become friends. 

The fights are really good and i like the characters. The world building is easy to understand and they characters have fun dynamics with eachother. I binge read like 170 chapters which out getting bored which is a feat. overall full marks no complaints.

Bakugo is sitting you up between his legs, making sure you don’t pass out. Your blood isn’t regenerating your wounds like it usually would. Your body has its limits and you’ve almost passed them.

But when Aizawa goes out cold, Deku claims Nanas float quirk, it’s up to you and Endevor to keep everyone safe, even if your body is screaming at you to sleep and rest.

There’s a moment when you see bakugo look at you when he sees that his child hood friends is in grave danger. “Don’t... BAKUGO!” He’s already in the air and your blood whips aren’t fast enough to move them. Shigaraki is faster and pieces through his chest and abdomen... It’s like you could feel it. “NO!!BAKUGO!!!” Everyone around you can hear the horror in your voice as you push yourself up in the air w the rest of your energy and catch him in your arms before anyone else does, but your body feels limp, luckily enough Todoroki Shoto is seconds behind you and catches the both of you safely.

At this point you can’t even tell who’s blood is on your hands. “You idiot.... Damn it ... Hey, hey you’re alright, look at me Bakugo. You can’t leave me too kid.” If it weren’t for your regeneration you’d probably be passed out the way he is right now. “We’re gonna get you to safety alright.... You gotta keep your promise... as stupid as it is.”

The second your feet step into a medical, everyone is looking at the both of you in horror. You tears a falling onto him and you just look like a tired mess. “Please take him. No- No not me, him! He’s in his room and he’s nagging you at his nurse to let him see you (your legit a curtain over) but she keeps saying that you need rest and blah blah. “Let the kid in nurse.” You croak and bakugo almost falls off his bed to get to you.

he regrets his decision. you look pissed. “You could have died.” was the first thing you tell him when you see him. “Do you know how selfish that was Bakugo? You could have died in my arms? Did you even think about that-

Like i get that they believe her because everyone in the class is pretty cool and has connections and its like "big deal she does too". Except the ones she claims to have connections too can easily be checked by google. Or that world's version of google.

Not to mention how everyone immediately believes Lila over Marinette about the bullying thing.

Like didn't most of the class grow up with Marinette?! How the hell could they just believe some stranger over someone they've known for years and years?

Not to mention Alya. I... I loved Alya. I did. But she has broken a cardinal rule in journalism. (And I would know, my degree was in journalism until my health got bad). You always fact-check your sources. ALWAYS.

Okay this isn't exactly a joke but I've been snickering to myself about it for a few months and it seems like you might appreciate it so: the Uchiha all use fire jutsu, but specifically BREATHING fire, so in addition to chakra and all they all need to learn really good breath control. maia wakes up on the ground, surrounded by people.  two of her friends are crying, one of the teachers looks like he’s about to throw up and everyone starts yelling when she tries to sit up.  one of the chaperones is on the phone with 911, another is calling her moms and maia’s never been seriously injured before, doesnt understand why her head is spinning and her arm feels weird and everyone’s upset

kara’s doing supergirl duty when the calls come in, so its lena that actually gets the news first and she just.  just bails.  drops all her shit and peaces the fuck out of a board meeting and doesnt offer any fucking explanation because that is her child, that is her baby and holy SHIT what the fuck

kara gets all of the messages the minute her phone comes back in range and she doesnt even wait to change back into kara danvers clothes, she just flies to the hospital and changes in the stairwell

maia gets to the hospital just about when kara does, lena running in shortly after and rlly what gets to her is that her moms are so upset, that’s sort of when she realizes oh my god this is bad

it rlly isnt That Bad.  she has a broken arm and is badly bruised and she definitely would be in worse shape if she were 100% human, but she’s not and she bounces back rlly fast and wants to go right back to climbing trees 

her moms were going back and forth abt letting her heal up under a sun lamp but once they were assured she wasn’t Seriously Injured, kara v strongly advocated for letting her heal at her natural pace in order to a) learn that actions have very real consequences and b) not be suspicious considering her entire grade saw her hit the goddamn ground.  lena was p adamantly against it bc she is so heartsick looking at her baby in a cast, but maia’s actually pretty chill w/ it, likes letting people sign it, and also lena never wants to feel like that ever again, never wants that entire world stopping fear to ever happen again, so they let her heal humanly (or close to it)

American school system

Kid beats up a metal sign out of anger, dislocates a finger and pops a blood vessle.

What does the witness do (who was a special needs assistant)? She gets mad at him and he has to return back to class instead of going home to feel better.

I nearly broke my wrist due to an outbursts caused by my mental issues. No one. I mean no one except the 2 people who i almost accidently hit noticed. There was teachers all over and i was in a room with at l least 100+ people.

This kid who punches the sign has bent it in half and no one cares, he does this all the time out of anger.

At the end of the last school year i was having some major downs because we were trying to get off my medication for my depression which caused me to begin doing worse self harm and threatening to kill myself. The school finds out and csd got called and we got investigated.

But i see so many kids my age go through things, ive heard stories, seen the aftermath of a suicide by a highschooler who was my moms friends kid.

My school now, if your late to 1 class, even a second late, you get a lunch detention. You cant wear leggings or yoga pants or sweats if your a female.

Im the past 4 years i have wanted to kill myself, almost attempting, at least once per year and it has all been school related.

I can never get an homework assignment in on time because my math teacher gives us 5-15 problems, each one has 4 or 5 parts and he expects us to be math geniuses because its an advanced math class.

When i returned to school after injuring my hand i couldn't write because it was my right hand and he told me to suck it up because in high school he broke his arm and learned to do a 1 hand push up with his left hand. That night i regretted my life.

My friend was being bullied by a kid in one of his classes and he talked to a school counceler and she told him she doesnt have to deal with it because he should have gone to the teacher first but tbh i had that teacher and he was scary af.

For the last 6 years i have gotten bullied and it was never solved until those students moved away. During the last few years i had actually learned what suicide was and began planning it. But still, not once was this fixed by the school system.

I am actually afraid to be myself because everything i say gets turned back to me negatively. Even if its the answer to a math problem. The teachers dont realize this but its true. I also hate the sound of my own voice or my birth name and it hurts to hear either of those things.

I forgot to add alot of things but oh well this is a long enough post as it is but i wanted to share my experience with the public school system since its been tough for me.

Finished watching Season 3 with my niece! (with bonus Rogue One!)

Hey! I finally finished watching Season 3 with my niece, and just like the previous two seasons, I made a compilation of most of her comments and impressions. As we had to wait for the Latin Spanish dubbed episodes to come out, we had the chance to also watch Rogue One, TPM, AtoC and the TCW movie. She had a meltdown with the S2 finale a couple of months ago so everything was still fresh for her. My own comments to her are in double brackets.

In general, I’m really freaking nervous with Season 4 because Kanan is pretty much her favorite character, and in her eyes Hera and Kanan are definitely together, being Ezra’s adoptive mom and dad. Her crying when Ezra fainted in Visions and Voices caught me completely off guard. He had just fainted. Dear lord, I don’t want think the problem I’m going to have in my hands with her mom if she returns home an emotional mess if they die. I don’t know about other target audience, but she made it clear to me during Rogue One that they MUST be alive. And I’m just here, praying and hoping she’s right.

today is the fifth anniversary of my miscarriage. my middle school math teacher’s daughter just had a baby today. i dont feel anything. i never truly did unless someone else does. the day it happened i didnt express myself at all and i can’t remember what i was thinking exactly, i can just remember how much pain that was. it was nothing compared to full term labor, but at that time it was the most physical pain i had ever experienced in my life. the top three most insufferable physical pains i have experienced are labor, a miscarriage, and a disease i have i dont talk about because its not that big of a deal but when it happens it’s completely miserable. the worst emotional pain ive ever felt is hard to pin point because ive never really had a terrible thing happen in my life that affected me so bad emotionally. i guess the worst is having poor self image, which is an eh on the emotional pain scale compared to losing a baby to most people. my mom thinks im more sensitive about my miscarriage than i am. im more sensitive to her emotions. anyways im watching a new show i dont like so far and i hate how poorly they portray people. its just not believable. people dont talk to each other in code or fast and witty jokes all the time. people talk over each other and dont know what to say and dont say everything theyre thinking. i dont always have the right words or perfect story or best possible response. yesterday we were out with tanner’s grandparents and his grandma recently lost her mother. she said that losing her mom is a completely different pain than losing anyone else you love. and i awkwardly smiled nicely and watched her eyes swell with tears and didnt know what to say. i didnt want to say im sorry or that i understand or anything i obviously dont really mean. so i didnt say anything. i dont think im a very relatable person so i really dont know what to say. ive been trying really hard lately to be a patient and active listener and it’s paying off. it has it’s downsides but the best part is the more i listen the less i have to share. people love to talk about things and i have always been envious of people who cared about what other people had to say. people who listen and make eye contact and nod their heads and remember what people tell them. i always thought i was the type of person who didnt feel like i have to give up a part of me to be there for other people and it’s not like that. im not giving a single thing up from myself when i hear what other people have to say. not even my time. my time is relatively less important than having a conversation about anything with anyone. anyways i have one empty notebook on my bookshelf and i hate writing in real life for lots of reasons. the biggest one being anything you write is permanent, even if it was with pencil or whatever. you can burn the sheet of paper you wrote something regrettable down on and it doesn’t take away from the fact that you had to write something down and it was so bad you had to destroy it. ive written about a couple of my insecurities on this blog before and i realized how much they mean to me after i made them real by writing about them and posting it. it made them worse maybe. it doesnt help me to talk about things to myself. although i dont write to help myself, i write because i love to type and sheer boredom. nothing on this entire blog but the insecurities ive written about really explore myself. for my one empty notebook, ive been considering writing a couple major things down in it. and just keeping it on the bookshelf. i have had blatant secrets spelled out easy for anyone to see folded up in notes to my friends scattered on my bedroom floor and no one has ever had the mind to pick them up and read them. i could write about my greatest fears in that notebook and seal them away anticlimactically by shutting the book and putting it back where i had it. it’s the same meaningless notebook, same meaningless spot on my shelf, same meaningless arrangement with all the other same meaningless things i keep near it, just with fears and secrets and shadows and bottled up thoughts inside. i can take away from the realness of written out negative thoughts by storing them next to tanner’s unused bible and my high school graduation cd. but i probably wont do that. my next writing project is a google doc called in the case that i die. tanner gave me one condition about my dating life if he dies. and it made me wonder if i had any conditions for if i die. if i have any certain ways i want things to be after my death if it should happen so soon. i dont think i do but i cant know unless i start writing it haha. of all the things i fear, i dont necessarily fear death. ive come to terms with the end of my life. speaking of fear and death, i really miss roller coasters right now for some reason lmao. when i was little i would ride anything my height limit. if it went upside down, sideways, stopped midair, turned the lights off unexpectedly, or jerked you around i was not afraid. im still not, and i think im more of a thrill seeker than i thought i was. i dont say no to anything that feels dangerous but isn’t, like roller coasters. there is the inherent danger of them breaking, but if i die on a roller coaster i die happy. if i get severely injured on one i might think differently but that hasnt happened so im not going to worry about it. anyways. a question a lot of people have been asking me is what im going to do for my honey moon, and tanners parents are offering to gift us a cruise vacation after we get married, but tanner and i were talking about going next year when we have money again haha. i want to really enjoy it and whatever they say about money not bringing true happiness is stupid. having fun and having money overlap. and having fun and having other people’s money is the same thing ha. also, we have loosely planned a pregnancy... idk we havent talked it out details wise, but i want to have another baby before i never have another baby. my grandma had 5 babies like, 10 or 15 years apart i cant remember. and thats amazing and i low-key want that but also really dont. i think ill have one more baby, then start donating my eggs if im eligible. my mom hates that idea which makes me want to do it more. im a fertile but fragile human and i want to share my fertility with people by donating my pretty, smart lil eggs to people who will love them. women are born with all the eggs they ever will have in their entire life, but not all women have viable eggs and not all couples have uteruses at all. i want to extend the fruits of my womb to humanity. anyways im gonna go
