Ake no tobari

In a world inhabited by humans and demons a young demon named Tobari has a dream. He wants to create a paradise where both races can coexist in peace. It’s not an easy task. He has to gain strength to be able to beat other demons in fights for territory. He has to convince the demons that humans aren’t simply food and the humans that the demons aren’t monsters. He is helped in his task by a barrier artist, Reimei.

The plot is interesting. The main character has to deal with his problems not only using raw power but also his head and hearth. There’s a good balance between the light and funny scenes and the heavier ones. The character growth is also done properly – not too fast, not too slow. It’s nice to watch Tobari becoming more mature and thinking out things more.

The art is nice. Most of the characters look cute. The art is not very complicated. The fights are drawn dynamically.

Overall I had much fun watching Tobari’s and Reimei’s adventures.
