so much of the clothing I have that was made in the 2000s and even early 2010s are so much better than most of the stuff I've gotten in the past few years.
#not all of it#i have a few thinga that have survived me wearing them near daily for years#*things#but not many things#and all of those things are fucking t-shirts i got from hot topic#which is fucked because their t-shirt quality varies SO MUCH#i have this gir t-shirt that i really love the print on but i just can't wear because it feels like someone made it out of sandpaper!!!#but also have this black graphic tee from hot topic that i got in 2018/2019 and have worn consistently since then#and it's held up and there's barely any fading on the printing!#and for a while during 6th grade it was one of the very few pieces of clothing i would wear#so it was in my rotation at least twice a week#maybe even more idk#and it still fits me today it fits like a bit of a short medium when it's actually a small#and i have a few other shirts that i bought around that time from hot topic that i still wear#but in most cases stuff i wore 5 years ago has either fallen apart or gotten uncomfortable to wear#like piling and the fabric turning scratchy are the modt notable reasons I've stopped wearing a lot of the clothes i used to
