I was at a con recently and here was my attempt at a cosplay of the long quiet! I based the design off the bit we could see in the mirror as well as some of the fanart I’ve seen and then the rest is just based off what I thought could work well to portray the character (in a costume that wouldn’t overheat me for 12 hours or so at a con)

I created the gloves based off a tutorial by @sunset_sewing on Instagram.

The cape was a very altered version of the high low cloak on Fleecefun.com.

I got the 3D model of the dagger from blreyns on Printables and painted it.

And the mask I patterned based off a plague doctor mask I have.

The rest (aka the leggings, bloomers, and vest/corset) I got off of Amazon.

I definitely have plans to eventually improve the costume but I’m happy with how it turned out especially as the first cosplay I actually sewed pieces for.

oh no. I did too much today, which means I walked or stood up all day. and we're going to a concert tomorrow.... I'm very worried that my feet won't like it 😭

i was tired of being so antsy and anxious so i left the house and walked almost 5 miles. this technically broke my PT rules but i was able to consciously engage my core the whole time to keep my back from hurting + my hips from subluxing (thank u 9 days of PT exercises already making a measurable difference) & now i'm taking a hot bath so i am..... Knocking On Wood that i'll be okay. please god.

So I was reading articles about John Hurt (as I do when I procrastinate on life in general lol) and I saw a still shot of a movie I’ve never seen still shots of before; so I looked it up. It’s a play. I was worried I wouldn’t find it in full online; but I did, so here it is in all its glory:

He’s just… ugh I want to gently hold his face in my hands he’s just so sad and lonely with his weepy voice and eye bags. I couldn’t process half of what he said but I think this is a warning about always speed-running through life to get to the next good thing. We should appreciate the moment; because in the end, we’ll have nothing at all but our memories. If we rush through life, we won’t have any memories to keep us warm at night when the chill of death creeps up on us in our old age.

and on the first day before i met up with my aunt i went to a sign crushes motorist concert where i met the openers and they signed my vinyl and cd, the lead also gave me flowers!!! they were all super fucking nice and i rlly wanna see em again tbh
