What kind of fashion do you think Himiko(and Ochako) would wear? I have some ideas albeit they’re mostly self indulgent than anything, so I was wondering about your thoughts?

likes to look dressed up all the time (v feminine

very school girl fashion choices (button ups, patterned skirts, bows, cardigans, long socks, dress shoes)

lovesss cutesy, warm clothes, big sweaters, short skirts, thrives in the winter

wears a lot of neutrals, yellows, pinks, and reds

I imagine she also copies other people's (if she likes them) styles/clothing choices

OCHAKO:

pretty casual, her typical going out fit is a pretty top, simple bottoms, & cool shoes

she owns. so many shorts. all types

her nicer clothes tend to be more cute and feminine, the clothes she usually wears are kinda masc and plain (tank tops, muscle shirts, gym shorts, tshirts, boxers, etc.)

her shoe game is unmatched. where is she getting them from.

ochako and izuku's friendship you guys DON'T understand. what they are To Me. he's her hero he's the bright spot in her life he's her inspiration he's her rock. she was the first one to be kind to him she saved his life the first day they met she's the best person he knows she's the second person to be his best friend and the last one betrayed him. she reminds him of katsuki terribly. he loves her. he's terrified of her turning on him. she trusts him. she doesn't know why he keeps so many secrets. each of them is something almost sacred in the other's mind. the nickname she calls him is the insult that was used almost all his life to mean he didn't deserve to live. her use of it is such an impactful expression of belief in him that he takes it upon himself, even if only for a time before he can't stand to hear it anymore from her mouth or anyone else's, as the name he wants people to call him as a hero im in pain

As far as Twitter, one of the most unforseen results of Horikoshi not explicitly showing Dekuchako dating as adults is this influx of people pairing up Ochako and Bakugou as petty revenge against Dekuchako shippers 💀

Like, it's not that serious, and it's just people being jerks and claiming Bakugou stole Deku's girlfriend in the end, but as a longtime Kacchako shipper, this could not be any more ironic.

Imagine spending years liking a ship 95% of the fandom thought should be illegal (for what reason, they could not say). Then the one ship people thought was going to set every other ship straight ended up being only vaguely implied. Suddenly, any character could end up either Deku or Ochako.

Certain people who never liked Dekuchako in the first place use Kacchako (a supposedly illegal ship) as ammunition against Dekuchako shippers who thought they had it in the bag. And I just think that's funny. I'm not participating but that's funny.

Also let's not forget she does want to save people; It's not just for the money. Ochakos trying to save people's hearts just like midoriya, just look at chapters 392-395.

I love (and cringe at) the played-up-even-more-with-real-people-beyond-what-the-cartoon-ever-did-overtly-without-other-prompting nature of Katsuki’s fixation on Izuku and I LOVE how he is SO upset at Ochako’s observations and input.

And most of all I love the “I’m gonna try to be a punk about even this!” big-eyed “you can eat it” he gives Ochako as he slinks off to lick his wounds and think about how he made a fool of himself about this. This actor is really doing his best cartoon shitty punk for Katsuki and it’s incredible! It’s the kind of cringe that warms my heart. He’s truly giving it his all, and of course Ochako is a delight, too!

Uraraka's quirk counselling program is nothing but a pale imitation of the Remedial arc, and does everything so much worse.

The remedial arc explores how the license trainees can get through to the unruly kids with quirks that affect their development and it comes up with ideas ideas like cooperation, treating them like equal and emphasizing how the kids' "splendid quirks" are essential to make the slide work. The quirk counselling program on the other hand gives them a competition based on quirk hierarchy that favors the best emitter quirks. Not only that, but Mirio (the No 1 hero) is lording his superior abilities over the kids in direct competition between an adult pro hero and some untrained kids with various levels of quirks.

In the Remedial arc, the kid standing apart gets heartfelt and sincere, life-changing advice from Bakugo that changes his perspective on things. In the quirk counselling program, Uraraka helps the kid cheat giving him a fake sense of confidence that will be useless to him long-term both for accomplishment or peer acceptance.

In the Remedial arc we get a long, thoughtful discussion about the challenges quirk singularity poses for the education system. The heroes and the homeroom teacher communicate with each other. Quirk counselling program is basically "don't worry about the paperwork, you will for sure notice the signs" (that the teachers for some reason can't).

In the same chapter that present Deku sensei to us as a transformative force in society, the rest of the teachers are so useless that heroes in their spare time surely will notice more than them. So is teaching a worthwhile profession or not?

In the Remedial arc we actually get to see a kid's quirk getting reconceptualized from purely destructive to something that can help society. Quirk counselling program: pseudo-Deku is momentarily popular thanks to Ochako helping him cheat. Even pseudo-Bakugou is impressed.

Remedial arc: a personal connection is formed between the trainees and the kids.

The quirk counselling program couldn't care less about the kids. It's just a fig leaf to cover up how empty the "society then changed" claim is.

The Remedial arc is one of my favorite arcs in the whole manga, because the lessons it taught went really to the heart of quirk society's imbalances, as well as what it means to save someone. I'm sad all the build-up and themes were forgotten and thrown away and the quirk counselling program has no traces left of the ideas that made the remedial arc work.

It's also kind of annoying to again take away something that was built up for other characters and give it to Uraraka to fill her meandering arc with something but whatever.

I will FOREVER be salty about how Hori paints his characters with valid criticisms against the status quo as in the wrong:

Monoma - hates Bakugou, therefore hates 1A by association and is painted out to be some over the top arrogant asshole who freaks out every time they so much as breath (Monoma's not my favorite, but he's 100% right when it comes to Bakugou).

Rock Lock - doesn't want the first years (maybe also the third years, idk?) involved in the Shie Hassaikai raid due to how dangerous it is and due to having recently had a newborn son, is painted as someone who's being overprotective and unfair to these heroes in training.

Inko - isn't comfortable with Izuku continuing at UA after the Forest Camp Attack, is painted as being overprotective (I have my issues with Inko, but she had an incredibly valid point here).

The media - rightfully criticizes UA's utter inability to protect their students and reign in Bakugou's behavior (the hill I will die on), is painted as trying to unfairly persecute UA/Aizawa.

Present Mic - uses common sense to deduce that there's a traitor in UA's midst, is portrayed as being a shit stirrer who's quick to distrust his colleagues and students (another hill I'll die on).

Gran Torino (a minor one) - calls Aizawa's high expulsion rate as what it is: nasty (showing that even he has standards), is immediately corrected by Present Mic that the expulsions are "only on paper" and Aizawa truly cares deep down (which actually makes it WORSE since it stays on their permanent records regardless).

Other students taking the Provisional Exam - call out Bakugou for being an obnoxious asshole, are immediately painted as "not understanding how hard he works."

Pro Heroes and Present Mic - call out Bakugou for not taking Ochako seriously in the Sports Festival, are told to RETIRE for not understanding how Bakugou clearly works harder than anybody else to be a hero (but then Bakugou proceeds to get the second highest amount of internship offers, so idk what the fuck point Horikoshi was trying to make here).

Vlad King is a weird one because while his one-sided rivalry with Aizawa/1A is obnoxious and unprofessional, he IS a better teacher than Aizawa is and it's a point not focused on aside from an off hand comment by Aizawa. You'd think this would make him examine whether or not his beliefs are truly benefiting his students or have Nedzu call him up and say, "what's up with your class consistently underperforming against 1B?"

Best Jeanist is perhaps the ONLY Pro-Hero to see Bakugou's behavior for what it is and takes him as an intern to rectify it... but proceeds to focus on all the wrong things (his style being the main one) and not really get to the core of his goal.

Society as a whole doesn't trust heroes for a myriad of reasons (some unreasonably, some for extremely valid reasons) and are painted as being unfair and incredibly biased against heroes as a whole.

Izuku leaves UA due to AFO having Ragdoll's Quirk, is essentially ganged up on and beaten/shamed into submission by Class 1A who completely disregard his POV (I don't agree with him putting himself in this position, I'm just pointing how it makes sense narratively).

Me, trying to make sense of all of this -

Like... how is your story supposed to be nuanced and your characters three-dimensional if you paint the complainer as always in the wrong?

i also want to stress that this is not the type of character i typically obsess over. my favorite character archetype is "soft sweetheart (bonus points if they're a little goofy) who loves their friends". this is Not Kayn. while i love the "character with a Traumatic Backstory that's learning to open up to people again" trope as much as the next person, i've never like. gravitated to bad-boy type characters. so this is coming completely out of left field for me. and unfortunately i'm going to write a shit ton of fanfic about it.

Hello, I’m euphoric :) This is an impromptu introduction so it will be deleted once I make a proper one

I plan to post art so here are a couple sketches of mine. I primarily make fanart

I am very passionate about My Hero Academia. I am also going to compile all my theories and analysis of MHA and put them here too. My favorite characters are Izuku, Shoto, Ochako, Tenya, Katsuki, All Might, Tomura, and more. I really like TodoDeku and TogaChako, as well as RodyDeku and IidaDeku so if you like those, we can talk about them :)

I have also gotten back into Batman (Batman and Joker exclusively) and will post art of them too.
