The Zionist claim to the Holy Land, through the lens of My Book of Bible Stories. Selected and transcribed by me, an EX-JW
Tumblr media
Covering: The Flood to The Deliverance of Egypt (857 years of Biblical history)
THE FLOOD to THE DELIVERANCE OF EGYPT
"Only eight people survived the Flood, but in time, they increased to number many thousands. Then, 352 years after the Flood, Abraham was born. We learn how God gave Abraham a son named Isaac. Then, of Isaac's two sons, Jacob was chosen by God.
Jacob had a big family of 12 sons and some daughters. Jacob's 10 sons hated their younger brother Joseph and sold him into slavery in Egypt. Later, Joseph became an important ruler of Egypt. When a bad famine came, Joseph tested his brothers to see whether they had a change of heart. Finally, Jacob's whole family, the Israelites, moved to Egypt. This happened 290 years after Abraham was born.
For the next 215 years, the Israelites lived in Egypt. After Joseph died, they became slaves there. In time, Moses was born, and God used him to deliver the Israelites from Egypt."
Full-page illustration: Abraham looks up into a sky full of stars.
ABRAHAM - A FRIEND OF GOD
"One of the places where people went to live after the Flood was called Ur. It became an important city with some nice homes in it. But the people there worshipped false gods. The people in Ur were not like Noah, who kept on serving Jehovah.
Finally, 350 years after the flood, faithful Noah died. It was just two years later that the man you see in this picture was born. He was a very special person to God. His name was Abraham. He lived with his family in that city of Ur.
One day, Jehovah told Abraham: 'Leave Ur and your relatives, and go to a country I will show you.' Did Abraham obey God and leave behind all the comforts of Ur? Yes, he did. And it was because Abraham always obeyed God that he came to be known as God's friend.
Some of Abraham's family went along with him when he left Ur. His father Te'rah did. And, of course, Abraham's wife Sarah went too. In time, they all arrived at a place called Ha'ran, where Te'rah died. They were far away from Ur.
After a while, Abraham and his household left Ha'ran and came to the land called Ca'naan. There, Jehovah said: "This is the land that I will give to your children.' Abraham and Sarah stayed in Ca'naan and lived in tents."
(brief timeskip)
Tumblr media
(See subsection "Yahweh and the rise of monotheism" to understand why the Canaanites are deemed "bad" for worshipping the full range of established local gods of the time, as opposed to יהוה‎/Yahweh/Jehovah alone)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Jacob, it will be just terrible if you marry a woman from Ca'naan. Go and marry your cousins Rachel and Leah instead."
Tumblr media
"We want to remember the names of the 12 sons of Jacob because the whole nation of Israel came from them. In fact, the 12 tribes of Israel are named after 10 sons of Jacob and two sons of Joseph."
What did happen to Dinah?
Full-page illustration: Di’nah smiles as she walks toward a trio of women in colourful dresses. A man stands in a doorway with his arms crossed, watching her with interest.
Tumblr media
Of *course* Dinah was responsible for her sexual abuse, because she had "bad friends". Oh, Dinah 💔
Skipping over the story of how Joseph (son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham)'s family came to live in Egypt by the grace of the Pharaoh, we see this key text as events wrap up:
Tumblr media
“They were called Israelites, because God had changed the name of Jacob to Israel.”
Image: A Phar'aoh sneers at enslaved Israelites, who are working hard and being punished with whips.
"For many years, Jacob's big family lived at peace in Egypt. Joseph, who was the most important man in Egypt next to Phar'aoh the king, took care of them. But then Joseph died. And a new Phar'aoh, who did not like the Israelites, became king in Egypt.
So this bad Phar'aoh made the Israelites slaves. And he put men in charge of them who were mean and cruel.
But still the Israelites kept growing in numbers. After a while, the Egyptians became afraid that the Israelites would become too many and too strong.
So Pharaoh gave this command to all his people: ‘Take the baby Israelite boys and kill them. Only let the baby girls live.' Wasn't that a terrible thing to command? Let's see how one of the baby boys was saved."
Tumblr media
I've included Moses' story in the alt text of the above illustration, but you can skip it if you like.
Tumblr media
It is a noble thing, to rescue one's people from oppression.
"Jehovah was going to bring his people to the beautiful land of Ca'naan."
Indeed, this is where Abraham and Sarah settled long ago in tents, after leaving Ur. But Ca'naan... is already occupied. Surely this won't be a problem?

Demon David and Jonathan part 2 lol
/ King David and King Jonathan in Saul’s visions
I quickly drew their designsss 😈 I partly made them so I can draw their designs loll. But this is the version Saul sees David and Jonathan as in his very fun visions in the book. Btw, everyone Saul knows is some kind of twisted version of themselves whenever he’s asleep. Like for Samuel, he’s hella terrifying, appearing as a looming cloaked figure who towers over Saul, spewing rebuke after rebuke.
David doesn’t wear much except for some jewelry and a small cloth around his waist. Jonathan wears long garments with him decorated in the feathers he uses for his arrows.
I find it funny when I imagine Saul already so done with dealing with them in his reality, and in his sleep he gets his ass kicked by demonic versions of David and Jonathan and he can never catch a break 💯 I mean, that’s basically how half of the book is, just Ze’ev showing Saul a powerpoint slideshow of all his trauma one by one lmaoo /j
Anyways, when I’ve been thinking about David and Jonathan for a bit, I just now remembered their role in the Book of Saul, and I needed to draw them once more✨

I'm sorry, but when we read from the torah this week, it's just... I'm sorry, it was hilarious in a way. Imagine being a slave and entrusted with Everything then being in PRISON and then entrusted with All The Prisoners (You Are Also A Prisoner). Obviously, it would always have turned out that this would happen to joseph but I'm just imagining how that would have played out

So, I am studying the book of James with my kids, and we are in chapter 3. I decided that part way through, I was gonna stop and ask questions in hopes they would really think about what we're reading and how it applies to them.
So my question was, "What are some ways that we can be at fault in the things we say?"
Now... I was hoping for some different examples, like saying mean things, yelling at people, or being disrespectful... instead, I got a lot of very specific examples of lying to people, including (but not limited to), lying about being a farmer, lying about owning a unicorn, and my personal favorite, *killing someone and lying about it.*
I can't make this stuff up.

Are there notable angels/demons in the File Recovery universe based on works such as the Ars Goeta or the Shem Ha-Mephorash? If so, what are they?
I've taken some light inspiration from the Ars Goeta (Stolforns name is really just a combination of Stolas+Forneus) and Dantes Inferno but have mostly strayed from mentioning specific demon names/locations and themes in other works.
Well I guess besides the Bible- again File Recovery is based round a lot of complex religious thoughts I had going to catholic school/church as a kid so I consider it impossible for me to not to take influence from the old and new testament, the seven virtues, saints, confirmation, communion etc... idk I just want more religious fantasy stories that aren't all about converting people or modern day politics

Does anyone have certain books they read when they are going through hard times? Like the bible but not the bible? I’m not talking about self help books.
Examples for me:
Little women
Sense and sensibility
Anne of the island.
They are comfort reads yes, but also more than that. They are the books I know I can go to to find lessons on how to get through whatever is going on in my life.

Because I am lazy with reinventing stuff I have been looking at some fallen angels (mostly Watchers because there is a list) and it's so funny to me that there is/was an angel around to "Cure the stupidity of men" Like thanks I need no more
also there was one guy which bascially was a constellation myth for Orion and he and Azazel(/Lucifer/Satan/whoever pointed Eve to the apple) were punished by hanging out between Heaven and Earth...forever or a long time but that got me to think...this would mean that (insert name of whoever tempted Eve in YOUR specific texts) is also a constellation, and if it's Lucifer it'd be the Morning Star which from what I remember either refers to Venus OR the brightest Star in the Sky aka Sirius aka part of Canis Major aka the constellation right next to Orion Fallen Angel shenanigans in the Sky? it's more likely than you think
also smth smth them being turned into Constellations and humanity using Fallen Angels, aka the givers of forbidden knowledge (you know..like reading and stuff) to navigate smth smth

I was thinking about the fact that it's very funny that my parents had more problems with me being atheist than with me being queer.
Like:
"Sure hon, you have a weird perception of your gender and you could possibly bring home women, men or everything in-between... fine, love is love we will take you to the pride and stuff ^w^. BUT WHAT ABOUT JESUS CHRIST HUH?????"
And when I say they had 'more problems' I mean they were like "ow... so you won't come to church on Sundays with us anymore? At least the holidays?🥺"
like idk it's so funny to me
#sometimes I gotta acknowledge the fact that I'm lucky#if my catholic parents were bigoted I would have had such a shitty childhood and adolescence#I mean adolescence sucked anyway#but it could have been so much worse with shitty parents#steel rambles#also lol I forget how much having been a religious person influenced me?#like lmao “local tumblr user discovers that going to church for 15 years every sunday influenced them in some way”#but like not in a negative way#just in weird ways#funny ways?#like I read the bible thrice in my life#once because I wanted to know the story in general and the book I had was full of pretty pictures so nice#I've always been curious about religions an myths anyway#the second I was 13 and I was proving a point#yes I read the bible to win an argument#one about lesbians never being demonized or even cited in the bible#the third time I read just the apocalypse because it was cool and I wanted to impress a girl with cool references...#“local tumblr user tried to impress a girl with cool quotes from the apocalypse” you can laugh but I have no regrets#I also “complained” to God a lot lool#like dude if you actually exist I'm so sorry for the 15 years of gossips and complaining you had to endure#like idk for example my teacher was being unfair?#me mentally: “see God? see what I have to put up with??? like I can't belive she said that!!!!”#I treated God like an imaginary friend or something I think? am I being blasphemus??#ahahshjshdhfhg

Okay so I'm a non-religious person who attends religion class because my mother signed me up and I dont really care because it's chill and I get to eat snacks, and like
You have to imagine me, local alt person with studs and a shaggy 80s haircut, dark rings under his eyes, drinking energy drinks, dressed in tacky clothes and visibly queer af, just...going on a infodump about moses. Like, I used to have a huge hyperfixation on him as a kid, wether it was from the actual bible (my mother fed me a bunch of religious stuff) or the movie prince of egypt, which I also could NOT shut the fuck up about. I love that movie so much. I never was religious, never will be, but BY GOD that movie a phenomenal artistic masterpiece.
Idk idk moses is kinda..why he kinda...
