decided to add color to this one in particular cuz I had nothing better to do

ghost who sleeps in nik’s black hawk when his insomnia is at its worst

when he can’t sleep for the paranoia eating away at his chest, when every creak and sound is an enemy creeping to his door, when everyone and everything is just too loud he asks nik for the keys

personal weapons aren’t allowed in the base housing but the hangers? those are fair game. he can load himself up with enough bullets and knives to be a one man army; rifles pointed out each window as he hunkers down with only a blanket to protect himself from the cold hard metal

no one but nik knows he sleeps out here and with the base asleep, if ghost hears anyone, he’ll know it’s an enemy. that surety settles the beast in his chest enough for him to finally drift off into a solid sleep for the first time in a month

no one but nik knows on these rare nights that he stands watch outside the hanger while ghost sleeps; gun in hand, standing guard for the man who tirelessly protects the rest of them, no matter the consequences

listening to "i can't help but wonder" and sobbing profusely over telemachus' hope being that his father will be able to connect with him, that they'll somehow be able to bond despite the years away, telemachus wanting his father to know that even if it's a struggle, he wants to know his father and see how similar they are. telemachus just hoping for a chance, because he knows his father has missed his mother, it's silly to think otherwise, but he believes that there will be a struggle for his father to connect with him.

meanwhile, odysseus literally has not stopped thinking about his son in the twenty years he's been gone. penelope and telemachus have been the only things on his mind, the only people that have gotten him through the war and every single struggle he's gone through. the fact that some of odysseus' first words to his son are "oh my boy, sweetest joy i've known" because despite the fact that the last time he saw his son, the fact that he was just a baby, and even though he's grown, despite the time lost between them, odysseus wants his boy to know that he is his entire world, that he loves him more than anything.

just telemachus being so hesitant and hopeful, and odysseus not even doubting for a second how much he loves his son and wants to hold him in his arms.

Idk why but the idea of Leshy being the youngest but the tallest is just funny to me.

And considering that a good portion of his body is underground in his fight, I don't think I'd really be wrong to think that lmao

So, I'll admit that I have had a lot of feelings about K and Evan. From being weirded out about K's obsession in the beginning of the season, to being really into how their relationship developed because Brennan and Erika addressed it and both characters evolved a lot, to really loving them as a couple yet understanding they probably wouldn't last, to being afraid of what would happen in s2 because it might not make sense for them to be together but I still really like them together. But I should not have worried. This is Brennan and Erika we're talking about. They always slay any dynamic, be it a couple or enemies or mother and daughter - and exes who are still friends but it's still awkward but they still want to look out for each other, often to disastrous results? Freaking gold!! Just these two episodes have been so good, I can't wait to see where this season goes next!
