The amount of common metaphors and poetic devices that it assumes you have to be familiar with in order to make the lyrics hit? So so good. And then it has the audacity to have a line that says "let me not make mazes with words?" so delicious. And the beat? Combined with the tone change when it hits the buildup to the chorus? Glee. 78) Curses - The Crane Wives - i love how joyfully morbid this song is. like if you listen to the lyrics its talkin about some serious stuff thats a direct contrast to the upbeat vaugely funeral dirge reminiscent music in the background. Actually a lot of music ive been into this year seems to have that dichotomy 10) Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes - This one is just a classic banger. Great for practicing a murder strut too esp if youve got headphones in and need people to get out of your way. Just remember to walk like youve been sent to kill Captain America. People will MOVE.

it's destabilizing my worldview that according to all reports the wicked movie is actually good. what do you mean. big-budget star-studded movie adaptations of hit stage musicals are supposed to be bad. that is the way of the world.
