Pop Music Club Silly

I came across a song that Caleb Hyles was covering as a metal version. Listening to it I could tell it must originally be a pop-generic song. Little bit disappointed that the video description didn't link to the original song, but with the name and artist I was able to find it rather easily.

So, I had a silly idea involving my oc, Bobo, @ryker-writes's oc, Jaxon, and Twisted Wonderland's Pop Music Club. Cater gets the club together and even invites over Bobo. He has the grand idea of them all playing Ed Sheeran's Bad Habits song for Magicam. Bobo having been invited over to help film it and also help decide who gets to be lead singer.

At some point Lilia, Kalim, and Cater lose interest and drop the whole thing before they can get a nice and cool recording. As the three resume their usual chattering and snacking, Bobo turns to Jaxon. The two spend their time creating their own cover of the song to a genre they like. Basically ending up with Caleb Hyles's metal cover. They don't record it or anything, just have fun messing around with changing the song's genre.

I think it would also be pretty funny if it wasn't until Bobo and Jaxon were half-way through the song that Cater, Lilia, and Kalim realize something's different about the song. They then all get hyped to play the song again, wanting to do the metal version too. Yet Bobo bows out, she's not going to help with recording this time. As they might just lose interest before they can properly record again.

Plus Bobo's not a member of the Pop Music club. Actually she's still uncertain if she's technically a part of the Gastronomy club since Grim's in it and her and Grim are one student. She'd like to think she's a member of the Mountain Lovers club, but hasn't bothered to actually ask Crowley about that.

So Bobo skedaddles, leaving Kalim, Cater, and Lilia to rock, papper, scissors over who gets to be the main lead. I assume Jaxon just tolerates their shenanigans and doesn't try to compete for lead singer..?

Craving something and find yourself in the kitchen half way through cooking something before you knew it? Sabotage your food, put too much spices on it to the point it’s unbearable to eat, too much salt or too much sauce.

That’s what i do, make the food and add the calories too my tracker and then when i can’t eat it, i take the calories away and it feels so good to know i resisted all those calories because i couldn’t possibly eat the food.

I just want to talk about my experience with theatre and its impact on my life lately

(Tagging it a ton so people can avoid it if they need to 🫶)

My very first year in theatre I was just a mentally ill nearly nonverbal freshman with social anxiety so bad I vomited daily. I was severely depressed as well. I heard so many good things about the environment of theatre so I decided to try it out. Now while I did meet amazing people that saved my life in the most literal way possible, and that still sit with me next to the toilet getting sick or through panic attacks or give me tips on cleaning s3lf injuries. I did have several people who hated my guts and constantly made rude remarks at me regarding my being new. "Freshie" hurt but the constant jabs like "Oh my god she talks?!" Probably hurt worse. And eye rolls at questions. And horribly not okay comments. If a person, any experience level, comes up to you and asks questions, do NOT humiliate them. They are already scared. Actually during my first show there were a few people who said things that immediately led to new cuts that night.

This is not to say every experienced theatre senior is horrible. The girl who played Aunt March in the first ever musical I was a part of, Little Women, has helped me open up so much. She is there for me every relapse. After every forced vomit and every anxiety vomit. Even sat on the phone w me after I @tt3mpted over the summer. And I love this art with all my heart. It is my love and my life, but it was hard at first, hard even now. But I have grown to love it and the people it brought into my life

Be. Kind. To. People. New or experienced. Doesn't matter. Everyone needs help and everyone struggles.

Hey, theatre kids? Hi, me again with another public service announcement about performer etiquette.

I don't care if you're the teachers/directors' favourite. I don't care if you're playing a lead. I don't care who you are really, treat your stage management team and fellow actors with fucking respect.

You don't like somebody in your cast? That's fine, but don't go spreading false rumours about them to everybody.

You don't care for the members of stage management? Well first of all, fuck you too, and secondly, don't talk shit about them when they're in the same room as you. Don't talk shit about us full stop actually, you're show would fall apart without us.

A new cast member asking a lot of questions, and it's kinda bothering you? Don't tell them to shut up to their fucking face, answer them and help them out.

I can't believe I even have to ask this? I feel like this should be common sense? But I'm watching things happen in our musical cast right now, and I feel like I need to give a friendly reminder.
