The show in Philadelphia is opening up for my old friends, the Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. My connections to members of that band go back 20+ years to my 964 Natoma days. I first encountered Nils Frykdahl in the previous millennium while he was playing amplified flute in the rafters of the warehouse along with Dan Rathburn making noise and sparks with an arc welder that illuminated butoh performer Shinichi Moma Koga contorting himself on a metal grate. Anyway, Sleepytime is a delightful group of very talented avant garde art rockers and this year needs more of their unfiltered catharsis. I immediately said yes when they asked if I would play for one of their East Coast dates to support their new album.

The Big Ears festival is something I’ve wanted to play at for almost a decade, so I am beyond thrilled to be added this year. I’ll be sticking around for the festival to hear as many of the other artists as possible, it’s off the hook, check it out https://bigearsfestival.org/

More concerts dates are coming in the autumn. East, west, middle, as many as I can fit in ;-)

I had a birthday recently soooo here's an updated about post!!

Hey everyone. I'm Bunny. I use she/they pronouns. I'm 27 (total fandom grandma I knooooow). I'm a night shift home health nurse by trade (in the wise words of Penn Jillette, "I haven't slept in so long that I'm. . . . Really tired." Lmao) but I do a lot of art and writing, particularly for the Ride the Cyclone fandom. I'm also very much into other musicals too (Wicked and Hadestown are two of my favorites). I make serious art but I also make lots of silly goofy content because I'm a bit of a party clown.

This may differ slightly from my usual missives about playing the violin and new musicians to be aware of (Haydn and Boccerini are to be highly recommended, especially the latter is as yet little known in these parts, though very innovative in his compositions), but I feel I can no longer withhold what troubles me, and have no other place to speak of it:

There is a lady whom I have fixed my affection upon, and cannot forget her; yet she is wed to a scoundrel, and has a son by him. We see each other daily, and until now I have held my tongue, but my soul can no longer endure this torment.

We share an acquaintance that is too long to be recounted here, and does not signify. What is of some import is that in recent times, I have observed her grown less reticent in her intercourse with me, joking, smiling, and conversing freely. Might it be true that she may keep me in the same regard as I do her?

I knew that I held her in high affection her when first I saw her, when she was stood in my parlour at Boston, fall'n on hard times and heavy with child. That very moment, she could have ask'd me to be the Joseph to her Mary, and I would gladly have accepted her, and her child, who is dear to me also, into my home.
