Twenty years ago, one of my absolute favorite games released in Japan. One year later, I would pull some of the shadiest shit involving bad grades and a white out pen in order to get my hands on a gamecube-- to which I spent countless nights over the years pulling allnighters with friends (with the assistance of Doritos and a variety of mountain dew), create stupid ass OCs and """"original"""" comics, roleplay as one of its main villains-- Pokemon Colosseum holds a huge place in my heart.

Not me entertaining the idea of possibly opening my own little RP place in DT.

I originally tried to do something but after talking with a friend, realized my ideas probably never panned out because I tried to do way too much for a place I'd essentially be running by myself.

When in reality: I should be going simple, and doing something that I enjoy for FUN, versus for the perks of reputation that came from a "unique concept" which, tbh, now looking at it, is just a recipe for disasters because of the possibility of bad apples who don't like to follow rules.

So possibly in Dawntrail, once things calm down, depending on my spoons, I may or may not be opening a tiny bar in Ellie's house; nothing special, just a small place people can come and hang out with their friends in a calm, neutral setting.

No ERP services (though it may be 18+ only cuz I ain't babysitting anyone's kids), no gil or even in-game items traded, just focus solely on RP in a setting where folks can just chill.

TLDR:

Old itch for possibly starting my own RP place is coming back, might explore things post-dawntrail's release. It wouldn't even be weekly, more like bi-weekly for a couple hours. And hey, it'd be a good thing for Ellie to do now that she no longer has a murderous hungry voidsent rustling around in her body (and is now somewhat normal again) EDIT: I meant the FC house not my personal :dead:

More of that au separated, Usagi Yojimbo/Ancient Japan stuff let's go-

Leo didn't want to join the three strange turtles at first. When they'd appeared at his temple, claiming he was somehow connected to the three of them, it'd unsettled him to say the least. For his whole life he'd been a monk, quietly exorcising and expelling yokai and demons with his spiritual abilities. Helping the other older monks take care of the orphaned children that had either been abandoned or had lost their loved ones to war. So Leo couldn't ever imagine any other kind of life, especially not one involving a short tempered ronin ninja, a incredibly intelligent yet awkward inventor or a mischievous, ancient prankster yokai. All of which spelled chaos in the monk's eyes.

So despite their best efforts, Leo had denied their requests of accompanying them on finding what they were seeking. There was no need to when he'd had everything he'd needed at the temple, hidden by the looming mountains and all consuming nature. That is until it had happened.

Smoke and flames, the screams of people dying surrounding him as he could only watch in muted horror as the home he'd loved so dearly was burned to the ground. Demons, covered in strange armor had managed to get past the wards that surrounded the ancient structure of the temple and had proceeded to destroy and slaughter everything in their path. Bodies either burned or bleeding littered the stone grounds, the sounds of crying children and the scent of blood filling the air. Leo couldn't save everyone, only a few, one being a child named Venus who had clung to him once he'd had his arms around her. The massacre lasted well into the night and by the time dawn came to the temple grounds the last of the demons had left, leaving behind a graveyard. It was that very morning when those three turtles had came rushing back to the temple, to try and help Leo in this bloody attack. However they'd been too late. Leo will never forget their horrified and grim expressions when they'd came onto the scene. Raph, Donnie and Mikey, the three turtles who Leo had never met had helped him bury the dead that morning. Venus along with a few others helped as well, still in shock from the events that had occurred. Once all of the graves had been made, the prayers had been sent and their grief loosened for a moment, Leo had went to the three teens. His expression grim and full of a hardened resolve.

"If I accompany you, will we run into the demon responsible for this?"

Mikey had been the one to answer his question, confirming that there was a possibility of doing so. Leo took a deep breath, staring at the yokai and said:

"Let me take Venus and the others to a safe haven first. The shrine maiden known as Lotus Blossom will watch over them. Then I will accompany you three on this journey."

Leo hadn't wanted to join them, however it seemed as if fate hadn't given him a choice.

I highly doubt that's ever going to happen, since we're all citizens (unless of course someone annoys the living shit out of him, which is also very unlikely), but if it ever happened, my plan was to run to blend with the crowd, hide behind a car and then, when the coast is clear, run to an empty building that could be inhabitable.
