I asked my mum why, instead of just poking her head in to see what the light was in my room at 5am (the heat lamp for the child), she automatically assumed I was still awake - then woke me up by asking me why I was awake.

She argued that she didn't know what the light was and wanted to know, but still couldn't explain why she didn't just open the door to check without waking me.

I got like 5 hours sleep because of how bright the lamp is, and had to use the hood of the snood I was wearing as an eye mask.
