i couldn't change the color for some reason so it's a bit hard to see but in the above screenshot i've drawn a black line near cxs' leg showing where the divide between the beds is

in this close up you can see a slight shadow where the further bed ends, and the lines on the closer bed (bedspread?) curve down until the closer bed ends and the further bed begins; plus there's a slight bump on the edge of the mattresses showing that the further bed is separate

and here if you squint there's a veeeryyy faint blue line (just below the far pillow) indicating the edge of the closer bed's covers

is it kind of weird that the beds are so close together that there's basically no gap? yeah, and i wonder if this is intentional, but unfortunately this is technically not a canon only-one-bed situation

in the sims i'm playing a w/w couple in the southeast asian town and when they moved in together one of the women brought her boyfriend with her and i made them all polyamorous to boost their income and so he can help them have bio kids but the game doesn't let 3 people sleep in a bed together so i put the guy in a single bed off to the side while the women get a nice double bed and there's something so funny about seeing the boyfriend sleeping in the corner in a single bed

people talk about miki's shirtless touga fantasy from episode 5 somewhat often, but i didn't realize that it's pretty much directly paralleled in episode 36, except with touga thinking about akio and utena, rather than miki thinking about touga and anthy (and kozue by extension). and the parallel makes a lot of sense since the two situations are similar in many ways. miki and touga are both being convinced to duel to possess someone (thinking they are actually protecting them) to make sure they (utena and anthy repsectively) won't "belong" to someone else. and like he does in many other ways during the first arc, touga is playing at akio's role in that scene, only to realize he's a victim of it too towards the end of the show.

I saw the hairless cat part and I want to had a fun fact to it.

Hairless cat are really oily because they don’t have fur to collect it, so their oils get everywhere and STAIN a lot- Erik will fully loose his minds with all the oils stain the cat would made.

the cat is ABSOLUTELY to go NOWHERE NEAR his closet alright he can excuse it using the kitchen table as a scratching post but he draws the LINE at his silk robes

got emotional thinking abt how this is my dogs' life and the only thing they know is like the house and the neighborhood surrounding area and the few places they go like the vet etc and they only know my family and like its their whole life... and i just hope they are happy and content and feel safe and just are happy every day I guess...

Okay. It was like pulling teeth, but I finally got all the back, sides, and top of the long raised bed in the back covered in hardware cloth. Yeehaw.

Thanks to a 12 foot long 2x4 I picked up by the dumpster yesterday (someone had obviously used to to level a newly poured concrete pad or driveway), I came up with a new idea on how to do the front which will be easier. Theoretically.

I'm going to put a new crossbeam halfway up down the length of the bed and attach hardware cloth to the upper portion. Then I'll do two doors for each section (four sections) on the lower half. This way the doors are (a) much lighter and (b) will use shorter lengths of scrap lumber, which I have much more of.

This plan has mostly resolved that feeling of project dread so hopefully it won't be so slow going?
