Of course I had seen dear Special Agent Cooper in memes with other autistic FBI characters like Mulder and Scully, but all the others??

They start strong with Deputy Andy and Lucy. Then we meet Arthur my beloved. Even Gordon Cole. Nadine and the log lady?? Major Briggs?? And now even Annie having her sweet penguin moment with Coop? The water they drink there makes them all beautiful, identical to each other (all the characters have the same face rip) and autistic. That's their secret power against the horrors. And Deputy Hawk. Poor man is the only one with common sense in the whole show. True pillar of the community.

In public, she says it’s an honor. First woman to be the Director of the FBI. At home, however, there’s more to it. Motherfucking president and idiotic agents are used quite frequently. Mulder’s been getting “hip with the kids” and sent her a meme about him trying to make a joke about her being the Director by 2023 and Apollo giving him the gift of prophecy, but she didn’t get it.

The job’s stressful, but Mulder’s thankfully taken the role of being her stress reliever, and for that, Scully’s thankful. (On her first day, she took a picture of her new desk and nameplate and sent it to Mulder with the caption, Do you think it’s the right size? He texted back ten seconds later: 😏😏 A lot of stress was relieved that day.)

in this verse,   mulder will be mostly the same as far as occupation and life back story.   the only difference is that he and scully are platonic partners in the fbi.   

mulder travels to a town in which similar abductions are happening to children in the town much like how his sister disappeared.   he does this on his own without scully because i envision this taking place around s4-s5 in which she has discovered her can.cer.  he doesn’t want to drag her into what likely will be another dead end for him because there is no evidence,  no theories or suspects.  just children disappearing out of their locked bedrooms and houses in the dead of night while parents slept or babysitters sat in the living area.   

on his first night within the city,  at the bar of his hotel,   he runs into  bill denbrough  ( @pagetorn​ )  and they have a conversation skirting around the cases contents over a couple of drinks.   due to hotel booking mishap (and us wanting to do a thread based on a silly meme)  they end up sharing a hotel room.   during that first night as ‘roomies’,   bill has a nightmare and is comforted by mulder as well as learning that mulder also suffers from them due to something that has happened in his life,  which is not yet revealed.   from there,   the rest is history.   their full story hasn’t been written out yet in threads,  but the plan is for both of them to be able to eventually open up about their shared sibling-disappearance trauma and bond over it during the case once they get past general distrust from not knowing each other very well.

in this verse,  bill will be mulder’s significant other and thus, aware of whatever bill can remember over time about I.T. and derry.   bill would be around for whenever he discovers what truly happens to his sister within season 7.   then once ch 2 happens,  mulder would likely be around more to support,  but ultimately knows this is a fight that bill has to fight with his losers club.   he could help research,   or would just for his own benefit because this is just the kind of case right up his alley.  he would likely have interactions with the group set during the movie because he would come with bill and stay in derry to be near him.  maybe in separate lodgings as to give space while bill and the club are figuring out what they need to do to kill I.T?   also,  to be out of the way so that hopefully,   I.T. won’t be able to use him against bill as easily.   then,  with any of the losers after the movie takes place,   mulder would be the supportive bf   (maybe husband by then??? screams)  and hopefully they would adopt him as a friend.  it would be adorbs  :’).

The X-Files a.k.a. The X-Files: Fight the Future (1998) Directed by Rob Bowman Through the 1990s, this show "The X-Files" became a cult hit, with its lead characters FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigating paranormal cases and becoming involved with a government conspiracy and aliens. There were a lot of great episodes on the show and though I have not seen it in its entirety, I used to watch it on TV whenever I could. This is something very nostalgic for me and it is the first time I heard of "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan, as he worked on many episodes of the show. Mark Snow's theme music "Materia Primoris" is unforgettable and these days curiously I see it used in many memes. In 1998, an X-Files movie was announced (fitting in between Seasons 5 and 6) and I remember being excited about it, and reading in a magazine that it was going to be called "Blackwood" (which was a working title). I watched it in theatre when it came out and later on videotape. It's been years since I watched this movie, so watched it again yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. This was the Extended cut which runs about a minute longer and strangely had a CGI enhancement in one shot that I don't remember being there in earlier versions. The production values are great and the story is engaging, it would work pretty well even if one hasn't seen the show. I did a quick sketch (maybe 30 min) of Mulder and Scully from one of the frames in the movie, then afterwards added other images to it (maybe another 30 min). This is not as refined but since I haven't been drawing as regularly as I'd like to, thought I'd do this. Have on your zombie apocalypse team: Mulder because he knows all about zombies and the best way to beat them. Scully would say they don’t exist and get her beautiful brain eaten within half an hour.

Betray: Skinner. I have no loyalty to the FBI or to a man who can’t even get his agent her own desk for 7 years. He probably deals with Russia at it is. Or worse, Trump.

Kill: Scully. This is unbearably painful for me, but Chris Carter dragged her through 10x as worse over the series. So let’s say she died in an accident somewhere in S1/early S2, before getting abducted and the whole downward spiral started. Something quick and painless, not eaten by Tooms or the Flukeman or anything. I’m so sorry, Scully, you deserved so much better.

OH my gosh ok lets goooo (in no particular order)

- All Things - Because Gillian wrote it and it’s amazing and perfect and very bohemian and very gillian.  It lets scully actually have a life and there’s also the only lesbian character. AND MULDER AND SCULLY  HAVE SEX

- Bad Blood - do I need to explain why this is one of the best episodes ever

- Acadia - How could you say no to that pure domesticity

- Triangle - Because of the scene where Scully yells at Jeffrey Spender and says “you either do it or i kill you” and her just running around the entire FBI building with authority trying to help him - and the end scene!!

- Requiem - Because of the bed scene (!!!!!!)

- Plus One - Because of the bed scene (!!!!!!) and all of their other interactions!!!

- Ghouli - Because that speech to William she does in the morgue deserved EVERY EMMY in the world

- Never Again - Scully has her autonomy and sleeps with someone because she wants to!! Also that scene where she takes off her shirt in front of the window and we see her silhouette.  Also for the rough sex they had thats in the script but was never put into the show 

- Deadalive - because I love to torture myself with Scully angst. but honestly for real she’s amazing in this episode and so strong and perfect and i also support Skinner and Doggett exhuming Mulder’s body in the middle of the night I LOVE two skeptics who turn into believers

- Trust No1 - because of scully being a mom and going to an internet cafe AND READING THOSE EMAILS THAT ARE ENOUGH TO KILL and also i stg when she says “I wanna see him SO bad” to doggett i gained 100000 years

no evidence .   it’s what she said when he first began typing ,   laptop in lap ,   heels kicked onto coffee table .   they had little more than two detailed reports that sounded more of the ravings they were typically accused of writing .   what ground had they to stand on ?   a scene which unraveled itself   :   a man ,   travelling into the past to prevent his own destruction of the future ;    a lengthened suicide .   more questions left than answers .   scientists at the academy left with open mouths ,   speechless to the death of their colleague ,   knowing all but the evidence to prove what they saw actually happened .   jason was gone ,   and only one woman ever insisted he was there ,   witness testimony their ace .    burned alive before mulder’s very eyes as the vision of jason’s older traveler pulled his young self down into the flames .

sunflower seed ,   crack between teeth ,   discarded into a pile stashed beside him on the cushion .   “   hey scully ,   come check this out .   ”    request her for review .   she pushes onto the couch beside him ,   quickly analyzing the flow of his report .   multiple sentences reread for the convoluted nature ,   various names that seem to spiral senselessly .    a tired sigh .   the exhaustion of not only comprehending ,   but delivering in such a way others may hope to understand what it is they saw ?   a full night’s task .   motivation of a restless agent .

she assesses for him basic grammatical fixes and phrasings ,   restarting for a deeper attempt to hash a streamline that only manages to delete information or rise disagreement from him .   point and counterpoint .   silence for what they no longer held evidence on ,   the clicks of the backspace key .   the greatest line of contention which finds no proper ,   fbi - acceptable conclusion :    the lack of a second body .   head drops against his shoulder ,   a sidelong glance up at him .   he plays a seed between his teeth thoughtfully .   fingers begin gliding over the keys again ,   paragraphs erased and edited to reform a new conclusion .   she stays to his side in the late night ,   the silence of the room ,   the chitter of the keyboard .   the ease of his breaths and the focus that becomes him as he analyzes what it is he wants to say ,   the way green eyes flicker over the screen with unbroken intensity .   her eyes grow heavy ,   seemingly in time with every murmured question or statement he has .

For the Dashboard Osmosis meme: The X-Files!

Haha. I watched one episode of this back in about 1995. And yet, it’s SO ubiquitous in fandom that I hear about it a lot. Let’s see:

It’s about a division of the FBI that investigates weird stuff. The protagonists are your basic idealist/sceptic setup, so there’s Fox Mulder, who’s the one who believes in stuff, and Dana Scully, who doesn’t. They had a slow-burn romance over the show’s entire 10-or-whatever season run.

Stuff that I am pretty sure happened at some point:

- One of them (Mulder?) got abducted by aliens.

- Scully had an alien baby.

- Scully might also have had cancer.

- The plot went completely off the rails.

- There’s a guy called Skinner, I think? Who might be an antagonist? And who a lot of people ship with Mulder. (I think possibly he died? And he’s played by somebody famous from some other sci-fi show but I forget who?)

Yep. That’s what I got.
