lan wangji. i mean its canon.

quan yizhen. i mean just look at him.

luo binghe wants to be called a good boy but won’t. because he is not.

mu qing gives the vibe that he wants to be called a good girl but is very conflicted by that

hua cheng. hes a golden retriever in a black cat body.

jiang cheng. bro just wants someone to tell him he’s good in general.

jin ling. he def gets jealous of fairy when lan sizhui gives her head pats.

okay hear me out on this au

i’ve been thinking about wei wuxian being a ghost in the same way hua cheng is one. but i was not too sure about what could be tying him to the mortal realm bc for hua cheng it was xie lian right and his devotion etc but what would that be for wei wuxian? his love and his need to protect the people he cares about? like lan wanji and lan sizhui and jin ling and jiang cheng.

i also just love the idea hua cheng and wei wuxian being friends or like hua cheng being a sort of big brother figure for wei wuxian yk it just Hits the right spot i love that dynamic sm

but idk how to have wei wuxian come back to society if that makes sense. it might need to be set in an au where jiang yank never dies so jin ling can be raised hearing good things about wei wuxian from her. obv lan sizhui would still be raised by lan wanji but if wei wuxian is a ghost he’d be more involved in his life when he comes back to society.

i’m thinking maybe he spends time with hua cheng after his death because he’s still weak. i like the idea of him immediately being like a wrath type maybe bc of his cultivation type or his insane need to protect his loved ones

perhaps wen qing also becomes a ghost and maybe her and wen ning also stay in paradise manor and ghost city with wei wuxian! imagining him bonding w all the tgcf characters omg him and hua cheng OFC and he’d be besties with xie lian as well. him and feng xin would bond over archery maybe and idk the connection between mu qing but trust there Will be one

then i was also thinking about his ashes and obv we know that hua cheng made his into that ring for xie lian but if it’s possible for ghosts to make their ashes into more than one thing bc if so then he can make multiple things and give them to his family members. maybe a little cloud emblem on the forehead ribbon for lan wanji and lan sizhui, a tassel for jiang cheng’s clarity bell, then something for jiang yanli and jin ling obv

Thinking about Cho Yeong's journey in Alchemy of Souls is a bittersweet feeling.

I like fantasy stories in general because they give me this feeling that after a long journey, nothing is the same again. But the wounds along the way are there and at some point the characters will have to deal with them.

And I like to see that although part of the audience doesn't recognize it, Yeong is a character who has been dehumanized so many times in life, and that finding someone to be her safe haven, showing her weaknesses, selfishness and anger is what makes her more human.(she was made for us girls).

She didn't stop being strong just because she chose to follow another path, a path that wasn't imposed by perversity and trauma.

Now she is free to finally live as she wants, without manipulation. The sweet girl, the assassin, the master, the servant, the lady of a traditional family, the priestess are all part of the character's totality.

I love this character in all her entirety ♡
