If I didn’t know what side to take in the discussion of whether or not we should listen to trans men talking about transandrophobia, and “these are trans men trying to talk about trans men’s issues and combat the rampant erasure of trans men in queer and feminist spaces” wasn’t enough to convince me, I think the fact that those against the term are way too totally chill with the presence of that one cis person who keeps calling trans men rapists for using the word would be enough to convince me to side with the trans men talking about transandrophobia

it's kind of a you problem if you read "this is a problem that also affects me" and assume it to mean "i only care about this problem because it affects me. i would not care if it only affected you"

i've seen this a lot more often in reference to anti-trans legislature recently. people acting as though only trans women will be affected by it and then getting mad at trans men and nonbinary people for daring to mention we're also negatively impacted by it

can we just have a community please. i want a community. can we not fight over who has it worse all the time and just give eachother support

I need you to realise two things. 1 : You are throwing a lot of people under the bus. Like, A LOT. You really need to stop for a second and think about the implications there. 2 : You don't need to justify your existence. You hear that? You don't need any justification or redemption to be aro/ace. You aromantism / asexuality is not something you need to fulfill or compensate for to be a person.

Like, for real. A part of me is angry about how i am thrown under the bus by people trying to reclaim their humanity. The other part is a bit sad for them. By throwing people under the bus, somehow you threw yourself under that bus too. You can say "it's ok to be aro/ace, we're valid!" all you want but at some point i hope you will actually believe it.
