Thinking about how Mrs. Andrews almost assuredly joined the Society to help her husband. We have no mention of him at all, but the fact that she's a missus, leads us to believe that she was/is married. And maybe her husband was sick and dying, and she wanted to help him get better. And maybe he's already gone by the time the Chosen Hour even approaches, but she stays because she's in too deep now, and she's built a community, and maybe even found new love with Eric Sweet. But then the children she cares about start being put into serious danger, and the community/support system she thought she had suddenly becomes this callous, neglectful cult, and it's such a wake up call that the thing she was trying to protect is already gone, and all she's done is harm children. And the man she's grown to care about is just... if not okay with it, too cowardly to stop it.

Mrs Andrews (S2): I just feel like we’ve lost sight of the students, I can’t do this anymore.
Joy: Really? You feel that the admin that opened this school specifically to recruit descendants and a chosen one for your immortality cult, lost sight of the students?
Joy: And they only lost sight after trying to expel Mara and when a new house mother that had nothing to do with you moved into anubis house?
Joy: It wasn’t before?
Joy: Like when they kidnapped me for child sacrifice, and gaslit my best friend about it?
Joy: it wasn’t that part?

Round 4, Match 3
Alright! Here we have the mother of one of Yuma's best friends going up against the mother of the Sparrow! (Or Esper Robin if you're a sub watcher.) Which one of these ladies will come out on top? We've got 24 hours to find out! You know the drill, head on down below for the facts on these moms if you need help figuring out which one to give your vote to.
So here's what we know about Tetsumi: Nothing <3
She has the same issue as the previous two moms, in that she shows up in episode 19 for parent's day and does basically nothing except the standard of cheering from the sidelines, only she's treated a bit worse by two of the boys, Flip and Todoroki. They'd previously been ogling over how hot Kotori's mom was, and when they look at her, they call her terrifying when all she'd been doing was laughing with her son. They just react that way because she's a large woman. Damn middle schoolers out here being fatphobic.
We may not know a lot about her, but personally I like her design. She looks like a nice lady and I bet all her meals fuck.
Now, for Mrs. Okudaira: Oh where do we begin. So her debut is in episode 7, where she plays the role of Galaxy Queen in her son's tv show first, his manager second, and his mother third. She's shown to be very hard on her son about staying in his role, to the point where she won't let him have friends for fear of ruining his image for his fans. Mother knows best, I suppose.
She doesn't seem to give any thought to how this effects her son, who's shown to be suffering from extreme loneliness. I mean, he jumped at the opportunity to make a friend when he met Yuma, and was so excited to be able to have a duel for fun instead of for show, and when his mother took him away, he immediately begins despairing.
Her son is in a lot of pain directly caused by her actions, and she never once notices until she's forced to watch Fuya duel under the power of a Number that makes him truly believe he is Esper Robin, and because of this, rejects his mother when she tries to get through to him and instead look to the evil Galaxy Queen as his true mother.
Over the course of the duel, Mrs. Okudaira comes to terms with the fact that she wasn't just playing a villain on TV: she Was a villain in her son's life, and she seems to show genuine remorse for her actions as the duel progresses.
Yes ma'am. Yes it is. But hey, admitting you've done something wrong is the first step to change, which is something she seems to do by the end of episode 8. The last we see of her, she's once again acting in her son's show, where Esper Robin breaks the evil curse on her with a hug, and she's shown smiling at the end, indicating that she's finally changed for the better.
