The Party is a peak episode for many reasons but one of them is that it's heavily implied that the Wise Old Elf is the ONLY person who doesn't know the nature of the little kids' parties. The dragon breathes onto the great elf tree and Mrs Elf is just like "oh looks like it's started :D". Everyone in the little castle is horrified at the start but they immediately get into it once it starts. CEDRIC'S ELF GRANDDAUGHTER IS THERE.

So like. Is this the first time he has EVER done an entertainment job? Probably

BAD GUYS BOOK 20 SPOILERS:

My opinion of the ending has changed as I am starting to get what Aaron Blabey was going for.

What redeemed Wolf was his journey and it was through his journey that he learned to appreciate what it means to be good. I remember a couple of instances where he questioned the path he was on throughout the series. Because of his adventures, he not only made new friends but he made the lives of everyone around him better.

The resturant scene was basically a test for him to see if he truly has changed. To show a loop of Wolf's growth, that he'll mature into his future self who will push his past self to become good.

Not that I think it's better than the movie's interpretation of Wolf going good.

Though, if I saw the ending of the book series before the first movie, I might have seen it in a different light. The movie is more grounded and is more focused on emotion than the books, at least in my opinion.

BUT...

There is one idea I wish Aaron would have done.

Wolf can travel through time now.

So imagine the scene where Snake is about to get hit by a rake, only for a mysterious Wolf with a mullet taking the blow instead in a comedic fashion.

Future Moe comforting the small shy lonely Cedric. Possibly leading to a heartwarming short adventure with the small Cedric meeting his future self and future friends.

Though Cedric's memories would be erased, he would be left with the idea that there will be a bright future waiting for him, and he has to find it.
