Hey I love to become Stereotypical blonde football player guy with amazing muscles and a hairy body
"Why don't you take this spring break too, darling?" "Why don't you relax after your first semester, you've been so hard-working, boy" You can't hear it anymore. After the exams, you would have loved to go to the mountains. Hiking. And explore the starry sky at night. But no, you gave in to pressure from your parents and set off for South Beach in your ancient VW Jetta. This is going to be endlessly embarrassing. You're pale, chubby, completely untrained. You're a virgin. No one has ever sucked your pathetic little cock. And you've never sucked anyone else. For your taste, it should have stayed that way. But now it's Florida. And you don't even drink alcohol.
Your father actually found a cassette entitled "Freshman's Guide to Spring Break". It's embarrassing enough that you only have a cassette player in the car. You listened to your beloved 12-tone music during the whole journey. Schönberg was a genius after your own heart. But now, just under an hour before your destination, you put the cassette in. Accompanied by hip-hop, someone speaks in a nasty slang. You can just imagine the guy Football-Jock. One of the guys who bullied you at college last year. "Yo, dude! let me tell you ha to get da hottest spring break. You'll have more sex n more fun dan you can imagine." You take a deep breath. This is going to be great… "You should start uh year in advance n get your muscles burning every day. An important motto of spring break is n remains 'sun's out, guns out'." Well bravo, then you can turn around right away. What kind of stupid advice is that an hour before you get out of the car? A little late, perhaps, to… Damn it! Your muscles are swelling. And in your head, a profound knowledge of the gym matures. Hey, the gym is your home. "Bruh, last haircut maximum three months before you go to da beach. Yes, your mommy will be sad about da messy look at christmas. But uh surfer's mane is best for da beach." You said it, dude. You think to yourself. Your hair is flapping in the wind. You love it. "N bruh, don't wash your hair two weeks before. You can smell da sweat from your football helmet in your hair." Hehehe, sure thing. Showering sucks, but washing your hair is for wimps. You love the look when you take your helmet off after the game and your sweaty hair lies wildly on your head. "My tip, dude, is that da last time you shave is two weeks before spring break. Nah one wants uh clean shaven guy on da beach. N while we're on da subject of shaving. You can shave your chest again four days before you get ta steppin. Da stubble on your mighty pecs looks hot." The traffic is getting heavier. More and more party-addicted students are clogging up the streets. You scratch your chest. Yes, the bruh with the podcast coming from the sick speakers of your powerful new car knows all about it.
"So dude, before you hit da road, one last workout. You'll have somethin other dan sport on your mind for da next few days. Nah more showers afta training n keep your training clothes on for da journey." It already smells a bit in the car. But it's the stench of youthful masculinity. Up ahead is the guesthouse where the others from your football team are staying. Some of them are already there. And obviously already drunk. The podcast said that the most important accessory in the car is the cool can of beer for the arrival. Hell yes! You park the car, get out, rip open the can, drink the beer on ex and crush the can between your forearm and biceps. Spring break is only once a year. Let the games begin!

Can I request Druig(from Eternals) x Reader with August prompt no. 2? Thank you!!
A/N - I think this is rather cute for Druig! Thanks for requesting this!
New
Summary - Druig tries something new,
Warnings - Just some fluff :)
“You ready to try this?”
“I’m not sure just yet,”
“Come on, Druig. You rang a cult for the last 500 years and you never learned?”
“I had other obligations to do!”
The horse next to you snorted, Druig jumping slightly as you chuckled and adjusted the saddle. He was near the opening to the corral, the warm Summer sun was barely beneath the mountains that were miles away. The ranch that you two were using for the last few days was out in rural Montana and a horse corral that was open for use. The owners of the ranch gave you and Druig access to the horses whenever you wanted, and thankfully you knew a thing or two when it came to riding from your time out traveling the world on your own.
So now you were teaching Druig how to ride a horse.
He never got to learn how to ride one, for as long as you were on Earth. Both because he never got around to learn how to ride, and he always avoided it. There was no real need for him to be on a horse anyways, as well as the rest of you since some of you could move a bit faster.
After stopping the Emergence from happening and saving the world, you and Druig decided to stick together and go out on your own on Earth. 500 years of being apart from one another, not to mention the pent up feelings you had for each other long before that and you never said a word, being together seemed like the most natural thing to do. Druig never wanted to leave your side ever again, kissing your along the waves of the beach right after Sersi stopped Tiamut, almost like an unleash of tensions that seemed to simmer under the surface from the both of you.
Of course, the others were just as relived when you two got together, even Phastos grumbled under his breath, “Finally!”
Now that Thena and Makkari took to space to find other Eternals and the rest of the group went back to their normal lives, you and Druig wanted to make up for lost time. One idea that you had was to stay on a ranch for a month or two, out in the open air, and simply enjoy one another. Druig found a massive ranch that had a separate guesthouse for you both to use and during your second night at the ranch, he let slip that he never learned how to ride a horse.
You nearly chocked on your wine, then deciding to make it your mission to teach him how to ride.
“Alright, come over here and grab onto the saddle here,” You instructed him, seeing him walk over with hesitance towards you and the horse. It was always this way with him, cautious and tentative. No matter if he was deciding on something simple like what kind of meal he was going to make himself, or massive and complex like humanity or mind control. Everything was precise to him, and yet now you were throwing a wrench with him in doing something out of his comfort zone.
Carefully he placed his hand on the horn of the saddle, looking rather squeamish and uneasy as the horse was towering over him. You were remaining calm though, not just for the sake of the horses not freaking out, but for Druig. He would never show he was uneasy with a task in front of him, but you knew him well enough to know that he was not liking this hobby.
“Okay, you’re doing great,” You reassured him as he was still clinging onto the saddle, “Now place your foot in the loop here…that foot….okay!”
Druig was a bit clumsy in getting his foot up, but of course you didn’t want to laugh to make it worse for him. But you only wished you had your camera to take a picture and share with the others, then again, you knew you would never hear the end of it.
“Now the fun part is pulling yourself up and straddling the saddle,” You explained, Druig hesitating for another moment with the thought of pulling himself up to sit on a horse. You merely kissed his cheek and rubbed his back.
“You got this, babe,” You soothed at him, “You’re the Mind Controlling Eternal who saved and ran a community for the last 500 years and helped saved the world from a Celestial. Surely you can ride a horse!”
Druig flushed from the praise you were giving him, never once to want to have the spotlight on him in any way. If he could he would rather hide away in the darkness and let others have the shine on them, to which you loved his humble heart all the more.
Before you knew it, Druig hoisted himself up and swung his leg over, getting onto the saddle with ease. You beamed up at him, seeing him cling into the saddle for dear life.
“Look at you on a horse!” You said in glee, fishing out your phone from your back pocket quickly, “Let me take a picture and show it Makkari—“
“Dont you dare,” Druig grumbled at you as you were about to take the picture. You sighed, showing your phone back in your pocket and then taking the reins in your hands.
“Let’s just walk around the corral and get used to being on a horse,” You explained, “Give the horse a gentle tap with your heels on his belly. It won’t hurt him, trust me,”
Druig did just that, the horse walking nice and slow in a good cadence. Druig was watching you walk along his horse, a small smirk on her lips as he was still holding onto the horn of the saddle and getting used to being in a saddle.
“Tell me again how you learned how to ride?” Druig asked as you were going along the corral fence gently.
“Backpacking in the Canadian Rockies and picking up a few trades from there,” You explained, “Those cowboys taught me everything I know.”
“Cowboys?” He asked you, almost in a jealous tone as you chuckled and patted the horses neck.
“They’re a bit more rugged than you,” You teased him as he rolled his eyes, “But you are far more handsome than any of them”
Seeing the blush on his cheeks, you kept walking along the inside of the corral ring a few more rounds. You both wanted this peace together for centuries, and now there was nothing else in your way. You wanted to let these new years together drag on, not going too fast or letting the other slip away.
Yet Druig was groaning and moaning from the sore muscles the following morning, you giggling as you iced his legs and thighs. You texted Makkari about it later, in which Makkari thought it was the funniest thing in the world and was sworn to secrecy
The End

How was Ladakh? I heard it's very scenic, I've been meaning to visit.
I've been mulling this over for a while, because this trip to Ladakh was also my first time in India, and thus the two things are a bit intertwined. Also one must take into consideration that most of what I saw outside of Leh, I saw while clinging to the back of a motorbike, often wondering if I was sustaining brain damage. I suspected the natural wonders were twice as awe-inspiring when observed with the knowledge that they could be the last thing I ever saw. If you want to go on two wheels, do get proper gear and think twice about riding pillion.
That said, it really was gorgeous out there.
If you like mountains, it's the place to be. If you like Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, it's also the place to be. I wasn't sure what to expect in regards to human interactions, but on my own in Leh there was basically no hassle from strangers. If anything the hassle was that the tour office the guesthouse recommended did not have anyone going on the route I wanted to take- which was how I ended up on a motorcycle trek with some random guys from the guesthouse to begin with. For the rest of it, they handled everything, for which I'm eternally grateful.
If you get the chance to go, go! I'm glad I went, but if I could go back in time I'd also be better prepared for the elements- despite copious amounts of sunblock eventually I had to accept that I was just going to be sunburnt, cracked, and chapped, with dried out nasal passages. It also gets really cold, even in June. I didn't bring enough warm stuff cause I only had a carry-on and I figured I'd just buy something there (which inevitably I did), but then no one from any airline actually checked my luggage weight at any point, so I kinda wish I'd just brought a whole ass winter coat. Two weeks was also not enough, I stuck around Leh to acclimatise for 4 days (which felt like overkill at first but it was really a good idea), and only ended up seeing Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Alchi Monastery with the guys. I had hoped to also see Tso Moriri and Hanle but was too worn out by the time they left, and spent the rest of my days hanging around Leh feeling rather ill.
All in all, I wasn't really sure what to expect in going, but it exceeded all expectations. I also think if I had not already been on enough terrible roads in various countries in the past, I might have been slightly overwhelmed. If I hadn't been in the company of people who were fond of street dogs (and finally desensitised me), I probably would not have had as good a time because there are a lot of them. They do make quite a racket at night, bring earplugs. In the end though, the pros certainly outweigh the cons (and obviously I survived and came back to tell the tale.) If you're looking for scenic, I give it 11/10, possibly more.
Final note, Indian SIM cards don't work in Ladakh, but the Ladakh SIM card works in India (I'm not sure about Jammu + Kashmir). J+K Bank ATMs did NOT want to dispense me cash with my foreign card (unfortunate because they were the only ones outside the city), but other banks worked fine.

Day off in love | shinez
a/n: this is my first work in tumblr. I have dabbled on ao3 before but decided to change it up. this story will be told in 2 parts, finishing after the day off season 4 series is done! thank you for supporting!
Pairing: shinez | kazuha x yunjin
>wc: 1.9k
sypnosis: Le Sserafim has a much needed day off in a secluded cabin. Kazuha and Yunjin struggle to conceal their affection amidst the watchful eyes of their members. Eager for stolen moments of intimacy, they navigate the delicate balance of their hidden relationship while endeavoring to maintain the facade of camaraderie.
PART 1
As the members stepped out of their shared tour bus, tucked away in the woods, they all breathed a collective sigh of relief, their weary expressions softening as they took in the peaceful surroundings. The scent of pine trees filled the air, mingling with the crisp mountain breeze, offering a welcome escape from their busy schedules.
Yunjin's eyes sparkled with excitement, surveying their temporary retreat, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Ah," she exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder. "You can see the stars so clearly."
Kazuha nodded in agreement, her gaze flickering to Yunjin with a hint of warmth before approaching the guesthouse.. "It has a great ambience," she replied, her voice soft with appreciation.
Kazuha was the first to notice the comfortable sofa tucked near the fireplace. “Wow, this sofa! It’s so comfy!" Kazuha exclaimed, sinking into the plush cushions with a contented sigh. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she glanced over at Yunjin, who was standing nearby, distracted by something in her hands.
Yunjin quickly caught Kazuha's gaze and a knowing smile spread across her lips. Without hesitation, she abandoned whatever had captured her attention and gracefully made her way to the sofa, sitting down with her book next to Kazuha.
“Wow! I’d love to have one of these in my room!” Yunjin remarked, sinking into the cushions. She let out a soft sigh of contentment as she nestled into the plush upholstery, her muscles relaxing against the support.
Kazuha couldn't help but smile at the sight of Yunjin getting comfortable beside her. It was rare to see Yunjin let her guard down like this, and Kazuha cherished these moments when they could simply be themselves, away from the pressures of their public personas.
As the rest of the members continued exploring the cabin, Kazuha and Yunjin shared a secret moment on the cozy sofa.
"Isn't it just perfect?" Kazuha said, casting a sideways glance at Yunjin. "I could sit here all day."
Yunjin nodded in agreement, her eyes drifting closed momentarily as she savored the tranquility of the moment. "It's like a little slice of paradise," she murmured, a serene expression gracing her features.
After a moment of silence, Yunjin turned towards Kazuha with a mischievous glance. "Wow, this really is comfy," Yunjin replied, her voice low as she leaned in closer to Kazuha, making sure to look around the room before continuing . "Almost as comfy as being with you."
Kazuha's cheeks flushed at Yunjin's words, a mixture of excitement and nervousness bubbling within her. She leaned in closer, her lips almost brushing against Yunjin's ear as she whispered, "I know a few things that are even more comfortable."
Yunjins' breath caught in her throat at the implication, and a mischievous glint danced in her eyes. "Do you now?" she whispered back, her voice filled with playful anticipation.
Yunjin's cheeks flushed at the suggestion, her heart fluttering with anticipation as she caught the playful glint in Kazuha's eyes. "I like the sound of that," she replied with a teasing grin, her voice dropping to a suggestive whisper.
Their members exchanged curious glances as they caught sight of Yunjin and Kazuha's whispered conversation, their eyebrows raising in silent inquiry. Chaewon leaned in closer to Eunchae, her voice low and conspiratorial.
"I wonder what those two are up to," she murmured, her tone tinged with amusement. "They've been acting awfully secretive lately."
Eunchae nodded in agreement, a mischievous smile playing at her lips. "I don't know, but I have a feeling they're hiding something," she replied with a giggle, her voice filled with playful speculation.
Sakura glanced over at Yunjin and Kazuha with a curious expression, her heart fluttering with curiosity. "Well, as long as they're enjoying themselves," she said with a smile, her voice warm with affection.
And as they settled into their cozy cabin, laughter and light-hearted banter filled the air, Yunjin and Kazuha shared stolen glances and secret smiles, their love a silent melody weaving through the fabric of their shared moments.
﹋﹋
The members were lounging around the table relaxing after a delicious dinner. Stomachs happy and content with a meal only a true day off can serve them. Kazuha and Yunjin, still seated at the table, shared a mischievous glance.
"I just want to walk a little bit. Will you explore with me?" Kazuha suggested, her voice laced with hidden meaning.
"Sure," Yunjin replied with a smile, understanding Kazuha's true intentions. "Let's go."
As the two made their way towards the door, the rest of the members exchanged knowing looks.
"Do those two really think they are being subtle at all ," Chaewon remarked, her voice laced with amusement. "I wonder what's going on between them."
"I have no idea, but it's definitely something," Sakura replied with a smile. "It's kind of cute, though."
Outside, the air was crisp and cool, and the moon was shining brightly. The trees were bathed in the soft glow of the early evening light, and a sense of tranquility hung in the air. Kazuha and Yunjin walked along a dirt path, their fingers intertwined.
"This place is so beautiful," Kazuha murmured, her voice tinged with awe.
"It really is," Yunjin agreed, a smile playing at her lips as she took in the scenic surroundings.
Yunjin turned to Kazuha, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"I think we should explore some more, somewhere away from the cameras maybe" she said, her voice low and husky.
Kazuha blushed, her heart fluttering with anticipation as they realized Yunjin's true intentions.
"I think you’re onto something there," she replied, a playful grin spreading across her face.
The two made their way to a secluded area of the grounds, hidden away from the rest of the world.
As they entered the clearing, a sense of peace settled over them, and they felt a strong connection to the nature surrounding them.
"It's so quiet here," Yunjin remarked, her voice filled with wonder. "It's almost like we're the only two people in the world."
"I know," Kazuha replied, her heart swelling with emotion. "It's so peaceful and beautiful."
The two stood in silence, basking in the serenity of the moment. Then, Yunjin turned to Kazuha, her gaze intense.
"I've been thinking about you all day," she murmured, her voice low and seductive.
Kazuha's breath caught in her throat, her heart racing as she took in Yunjin's words.
"Me too," she replied, her voice filled with longing.
Yunjin stepped closer to Kazuha, the electricity between them palpable.
"I can't wait any longer," she breathed, her lips mere inches from Kazuha's.
Kazuha's body trembled with anticipation, her pulse racing.
"Me neither," she murmured, closing the gap between them and bringing their lips together in a tender kiss.
As their lips touched, a jolt of electricity shot through both of them, and a wave of emotion washed over them.
They were both lost in a haze of lust, desire pooling in the pit of their stomachs as the kiss intensified.
They broke apart for a moment, then came together again, their passion escalating as their kisses grew more desperate.
At that moment, Eunchae, wandering through the woods, had been searching for Yunjin and Kazuha. She had expected to find them lost in a game of hide-and-seek or perhaps mauled by a bear. What she didn't expect was stumbling upon them tangled together in a mess of teeth and tongues.
Her eyes widened as she took in the sight before her,
Eunchae stood frozen, feeling like an intruder on a scene meant only for them. She blinked several times, as if trying to convince herself that what she was seeing was real. Finally, she cleared her throat, breaking the spell they were under.
"Um... I... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt," Eunchae stammered, cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Yunjin and Kazuha broke apart, looking equally flustered. "Eunchae!" Yunjin exclaimed, her cheeks turning a deep shade of red that matched her hair.
Kazuha scratched the back of her head, sheepishly avoiding Eunchae's gaze. "Hey, uh... this is not what it looks like…” Eunchae couldn't help but laugh at their awkwardness. “Please, I don’t want to know. Now, don't let me interrupt any further," she teased, turning to leave them to their moment and dashing back inside the cabin.
Chaewon noticed Eunchae's troubled expression immediately. "Hey, Eunchae, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," she remarked, concerned about lacing her voice.
Sakura, ever perceptive, glanced up from where she was arranging her knitting supplies. "Yeah, you seem a little off. Did something happen out there?" she asked, her brows furrowing in worry.
Eunchae forced a smile, trying to push aside the image of Yunjin and Kazuha from her mind. "Oh, it's nothing, just got a bit lost in the woods," she replied, shrugging off their concern.
Chaewon and Sakura exchanged a skeptical glance, clearly not buying her explanation. "Are you sure? You seem more flustered than usual," Chaewon pointed out, her brow furrowing with concern.
Sakura nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and your cheeks are a bit flushed. Are you feeling okay?"
Eunchae shifted uncomfortably, feeling the weight of her secret pressing down on her. "I'm fine, really. Just got a bit too much sun at the amusement park today, I guess," she muttered, avoiding their gazes.
As Kazuha and Yunjin returned to the cabin, the other members were waiting for them, their expressions filled with curiosity.
"Where have you two been?" Chaewon asked, her voice laced with amusement.
Yunjin and Kazuha exchanged a knowing glance, their cheeks flushed with a faint blush.
"Just exploring the grounds," Yunjin replied, her tone nonchalant. Her eyes met with Eunchae, but quickly averted her gaze, writing down a reminder in her head to talk to the maknae later on.
"Really?" Chaewon asked, her gaze narrowing as she studied the pair. "You seem awfully...close."
Kazuha blushed deeper, their embarrassment growing as the others stared at them with interest.
"Yeah, well, it's not like we were doing anything...bad," Yunjin muttered, her cheeks burning.
Sakura chuckled, her eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Come on, let’s go to the backyard," Sakura said, her tone reassuring. She knew not to push her friends into a conversation they weren’t ready to have.
As the girls stepped out onto the cabin's porch and caught sight of the backyard adorned with a desert table and a crackling fire pit, Kazuha couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, it's so pretty!" Her eyes sparkled with appreciation as she scanned the scene.
Yunjin's excitement bubbled over as she exclaimed, "They prepared it for us!" Her gratitude warmed her voice, reflecting the feeling of being valued by their managers.
"There's even chocolate!" Chaewon exclaimed, eagerly tearing open the s'mores package. With a mischievous grin, she skewered her first marshmallow and held it over the flames, inviting the others to join in.
As the marshmallows began to brown and melt, filling the air with their sweet aroma, the members laughed and joked with each other, enjoying this unexpected moment of relaxation amidst their busy schedules.
﹋﹋
Later on, the building adjacent to the shared house buzzed with excitement as the members prepared for Sakura's birthday live stream. Cameras were set up, decorations adorned the room, and a table filled with delectable treats awaited their audience's virtual celebration.
Yunjin and Kazuha, their hearts still fluttering from the close call that evening, exchanged nervous glances as they took their places in front of the camera. The air crackled with anticipation, the excitement palpable as they greeted their fans who had tuned in from around the world.
As the live stream commenced, the members shared stories and laughter, their camaraderie shining through the screen. But amidst the joyous celebration, a playful comment from one of their fans caught Kazuha off guard.
"Please kiss" the comment read, accompanied by a string of playful emojis.
Kazuha's cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment as she listened to Chaewon read the comment aloud, her heart pounding in her chest. She stole a quick glance at Yunjin, who met her gaze with a reassuring smile, but the fear of exposure gnawed at her insides.
"Who?" Kazuha stammered, her words faltering as she struggled to find a response. In her flustered state, a sudden jolt of her hand caused Kazuha to accidentally knock over the coffee cup next to her, sending a cascade of coffee spilling onto Yunjin's lap.
Gasps of shock echoed through the room as Yunjin jumped up in surprise, her eyes wide with disbelief as the liquid seeped through her clothes. Kazuha couldn't help but burst into laughter, apologizing profusely as she scrambled to grab napkins, her hands shaking with amusement and remorse.
Yunjin, though initially startled, couldn't help but burst into laughter at the absurdity of the situation. With a mischievous grin, she turned her attention to the live stream viewers with mock severity "If you say such dangerous comments" she exclaimed, “It will cause an accident. This is your responsibility”.
Meanwhile, Kazuha, still flustered, tried to salvage the moment with a sheepish grin. "Don’t be too flabbergasted" she joked, earning a chorus of chuckles from her members.
With the tension diffused and everyone in high spirits, the birthday celebration continued with even more laughter and joy. And as they toasted to Sakura's special day, Kazuha couldn't help but feel grateful for her member's ability to turn even the most embarrassing mishaps into unforgettable memories.
﹋﹋
After the night has settled down and games were played amongst the girls, Yunjin and Kazuha exchanged subtle glances across the room, their hearts fluttering with the anticipation of stealing away for some much-needed alone time.
Yunjin leaned in close to Kazuha, her voice a soft whisper in the midst of the lively conversation. "I think now might be our chance to sneak away," she murmured, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Kazuha's cheeks flushed with excitement as she caught Yunjin's meaning, her heart racing with anticipation. "I couldn't agree more," she replied with a playful grin, her voice barely above a breath.
Sakura, Chaewon, and Eunchae were engrossed in a game, but Kazuha caught their attention with a coy smile. "Hey, guys," she called out, trying to sound casual but failing miserably, "we kinda left something super important in my room. Mind if we dash off to grab it?"
Sakura raised an eyebrow, her gaze shifting from the game to Kazuha with a knowing smirk. "Sure thing," she replied, her tone dripping with teasing mischief as if she was about to spill the juiciest gossip of the century.
Chaewon, never one to miss a beat, chimed in, "Yeah, what's the rush? We're about to see who's the true champion here," she said, a competitive glint in her eye as if she was preparing for battle.
Kazuha's grin widened, trying her best to keep her cool under the intense scrutiny of her friends. "Oh, you know, I just remembered I left... um, my lucky socks in my room," she improvised, mentally patting herself on the back for the brilliant cover-up.
Yunjin nodded in agreement, playing her part in the impromptu charade. "Yeah, can't win without them and we all know that Kazuha isn’t the best observer." she added, trying to keep a straight face while internally laughing at the absurdity of their excuse.
Sakura raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "Sure, sure," she replied with a wink, exchanging a knowing look with Chaewon and Eunchae.
As Kazuha and Yunjin hurriedly tiptoed down the hallway, attempting to maintain an air of stealth, away from the cameras. Their mission was immediately compromised by their own clumsiness.
Yunjin, in her haste, accidentally bumped into a decorative vase, sending it teetering precariously on the edge of a table. With wide eyes and a frantic gesture, she barely managed to catch it before it crashed to the ground, letting out a nervous laugh.
Kazuha, meanwhile, tried to navigate the maze of furniture like a ninja on a mission, but ended up tripping over a stray rug and stumbling forward with an undignified yelp. "Who put this here?!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she regained her balance.
Their fumbled attempts at stealth only made them giggle even harder, their laughter echoing through the hallway like a pair of mischievous sprites causing chaos in their wake.
Finally reaching Kazuha's room, they collapsed against the door in fits of laughter, their breathless giggles mingling with the sounds of their friends' distant chatter.
As soon as they were out of earshot, Chaewon arched an eyebrow in amusement, her lips curling into a sly smile. "Well, well, well," she drawled, leaning in conspiratorially, "How stupid do they think we are."
Eunchae's gaze followed their retreating figures, a knowing smirk tugging at her lips. "I wonder what they're really up to in there," she mused, her tone suggesting she was onto something juicy.
Sakura chuckled softly, but there was a hint of suspicion in her voice. "I'm sure they're just enjoying some alone time," she said, though her eyes betrayed a flicker of doubt.
Chaewon raised an eyebrow, her grin widening. "Alone time, huh? More like 'hide and seek' time," she quipped, her tone laced with playful skepticism.
Eunchae nodded in agreement, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Yeah, they're definitely not just taking a nap," she chimed in, her voice filled with knowing amusement.
It became increasingly clear that Kazuha and Yunjin's secret might not be so secret after all.
"It's nice to finally have a moment alone with you," Kazuha confessed, her voice soft and filled with warmth.
Yunjin returned Kazuha's smile, her eyes twinkling with adoration. "I've been looking forward to this all night," she admitted, her voice gentle and full of love.
With a shy yet eager energy, Kazuha reached out, taking Yunjin's hand in hers. Their fingers intertwined effortlessly, as they lingered near the door of the now closed bedroom.
As they gazed into each other's eyes, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their own little bubble of affection.
With a soft laugh, Yunjin leaned in closer, her breath mingling with Kazuha's. "I missed you," she whispered, her words barely a breath against Kazuha's lips.
"Then come here," Kazuha whispered. She reached out and pulled Yunjin closer, their bodies pressed together in a tender meeting.
As their lips moved together in a sweet and unhurried dance, Yunjin couldn’t help but feel a twinge of worry. “Kazuha,” she whispered softly between kisses, her voice laced with uncertainty, “Do you think we are being too…obvious?”
Kazuha’s response was a murmured hum of contentment as she deepened the kiss, her fingers tangling in Yunjin’s hair as she pulled her closer. “I don’t really care.” With a low moan of pleasure, her hands wander eagerly over Yunjin’s body.
Yunjin giggled with pleasure, her smile radiating an infectious warmth. "Oh, I like the way you think," she murmured, her voice thick with desire as she leaned forward to meet Kazuha's hungry kiss.
Their lips met in a rush of heat and fire, their bodies molding together as they wrapped their arms around each other, desperate for skin on skin contact.
"I want you so bad," Kazuha whispered against Yunjin's lips, her voice filled with desperate need.
"Then take me," Yunjin breathlessly whispered back, boldness reflected in her eyes.
Kazuha's hand snaked its way up Yunjin's shirt, her fingers caressing soft skin.
The other girl moaned softly, her body responding to Kazuha's touch.
"Oh, Zuha," Yunjin breathed. "That feels so good."
The ballerina smiled, her fingers exploring Yunjin's body, eliciting soft moans and gasps of pleasure.
"I love you, Yunjin," Kazuha murmured, her voice low and seductive. "I want to make you feel good."
"I love you too," Yunjin said, her voice full of passion and desire.
Kazuha's hands reached up and began to pull at the clasps of Yunjin's shirt, exposing more and more of her pale skin.
Yunjin giggled as Kazuha's nimble fingers fumbled with the clasp of her bra, struggling to undo the fastener.
"It's hard to do when you are so distracting," Kazuha complained.
Yunjin grinned and then leaned in, giving Kazuha a slow, passionate kiss. "Is that better?" she asked, her voice a husky whisper.
Kazuha laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yes." She turned her attention back to the task at hand, finally managing to undo the clasp of Yunjin's bra. She pulled the lacy garment away from Yunjin's body, revealing her ample chest.
As Kazuha and Yunjin were lost in their heated moment, a sudden knock on the door jolted them back to reality. They exchanged a glance of surprise, wondering who could be interrupting their precious alone time.
Kazuha hesitated, reluctantly pulling away from Yunjin's curious hands to answer the door. With a deep breath, she opened it to find Chaewon standing there, a slightly harried expression on her face.
"Hey, Kazuha, Yunjin," Chaewon greeted them, her voice tinged with urgency. "Sorry to disturb you, but the managers just called. They need both of you to come out and get your swimsuits on. The hot tub out back is ready for us to use.” She made a vague hand gesture in the direction of the two girls, “So please wrap up whatever it is you are doing here.”
Kazuha's heart sank at the thought of their alone time being cut short, but she quickly put on a smile to mask her disappointment. "Sure, Chaewon, we'll be right out," she replied, trying to sound as cheerful as possible.
Yunjin, too, tried to hide her disappointment. "Yeah, we'll be there in a minute," she added, her voice betraying a hint of reluctance from behind the door.
Chaewon nodded in understanding, oblivious to the hidden dynamics at play. "Great, thanks," she said with a relieved smile before turning to leave.
As the door closed behind Chaewon, Kazuha and Yunjin exchanged a look of disappointment, knowing that their precious alone time had been cut short once again.

Event: Mountain Journey
Zayne: Chapter 2, part 1
After switching from plane tickets to train tickets, our departure is delayed by a week. We're forced to cancel our original guesthouse reservation. Following the guesthouse staff's recommendation, we're staying in a small courtyard provided by a local jade craftswoman, an elderly madam. She usually houses apprentices at this abode.
Madam: This courtyard has been empty for a while now. Very few people in Cyan City are interested in learning how to carve jade nowadays. Having you two here will bring some life to this place.
MC: So Cyan City gets its name from its famous jade carvings?
We have been in Cyan City for a few days and chatted with the madam. She has shared many stories related to the city with Zayne and me.
Madam: I recall it being a trend that was popular decades ago. Young people gifted jade carvings to their beloveds.
The idea of visiting Cyan City to give someone you like a gift, an activity we randomly got while on the train a few days ago, appears in my mind.
Zayne: If someone wanted to carve jade now, where could they buy the jade materials?
Just as I'm about to ask, Zayne, who's sitting next to me, poses the question first. Could he be thinking the same thing? I glance at Zayne. Zayne returns my gaze with a gaze that says "Of course." Smiling, the madam points to the river some distance away from us.
Madam: Giving jade to a loved one—it's all about fate. Why don't you two try your luck in that river?
This place the madam suggested is the Jade River. It used to be quite popular in Cyan City. Under the sunlight, the river is as clear as amber. The stones at the bottom are visible. Who knows, there might be jade hidden within these stones.
MC: Zayne, do you think we'll be lucky enough to actually find jade in these waters?
I take off my shoes and wade into the river. As I notice Zayne still on the shore, I playfully splash some water toward him, wetting his ankles.
MC: Hello, young lad. You've come here for jade, have you? I'm the Goddess of Jade, the guardian of this river.

The Words - The Tenth Word - Part 6
SIXTH PICTURE: Come now, look! All these imposing trains, planes, machines, warehouses, and exhibitions show that a majestic king exists and governs behind a veil.17 Such a sovereign requires subjects worthy of him- self. But his subjects are gathered in a guesthouse that is filled and emptied daily. Moreover, his subjects now are gathered on a testing ground for maneuvers, a ground that is changed hourly. Again, his subjects stay in an exhibition hall for a few minutes to behold examples of his beneficence, priceless products of his miraculous art. But the exhibition alters each moment. Whatever leaves does not return, and whatever comes is destined to go. All of this proves that there are permanent palaces and lasting abodes, as well as gardens and treasuries full of the pure and exalted originals of the samples, beyond what we see here. This is why we exert ourselves here for their sake. We work here, and he will reward us there with a form and degree of happiness suited to our capacity.
SEVENTH PICTURE: Let’s walk and see what is going on. Everywhere you see cameras taking pictures and scribes recording everything, no matter how insignificant or ordinary. Now look up at the tall mountain; there you see a supreme camera installed, devoted to the service of the king.18 The king must have ordered that all transactions and deeds performed in his kingdom be recorded. One day, he will use these records to call his subjects to account.
Would such a wise and preserving being not record his greatest sub- jects’ deeds—the most significant of the deeds in his kingdom? Would he not call everyone to account in order to reward or punish them? After all, those subjects do things that offend his glory, are contrary to his pride, and are unacceptable to his compassion. They remain unpunished in this world, and so must be called before a Supreme Tribunal (somewhere else).

TEHRAN—Almost immediately after Iranian authorities announced that President Ebrahim Raisi had died on May 19, black mourning flags were raised across Tehran. Residents in the capital awoke the following day to giant banners on most street corners depicting the late leader with poems and flattering language about him.
Campaign posters are expected to follow soon: According to Iran’s constitution, a new president must be chosen within 50 days of a leader’s death. The vote to elect Raisi’s successor is scheduled for June 28. On Sunday, Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi officially opened the presidential election season, ordering Iran’s provinces and cities to set up headquarters and committees to run elections within three days. Candidates can register between May 30 and June 3, the country’s Election Headquarters announced.
All candidates must be vetted by the Guardian Council, a 12-member clerical government body, before a two-week campaigning period starts on June 12. The new president will serve a full four-year term after his inauguration.
Saeed Jalili, a hard-liner and Iran’s former chief nuclear negotiator, is considered one of the contenders for the presidency, as is the current acting president, Mohammad Mokhber, who is close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Former hard-liner President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told supporters outside his Tehran home that he would consider running. Ali Larijani, the comparatively moderate former speaker of parliament, may also stand in the polls.
The May 19 helicopter crash that killed Raisi also claimed the lives of Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and six others and triggered five days of mourning—national holidays that culminated in the 63-year-old president’s burial last Thursday at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad, Iran’s holiest site. The funeral drew around 3 million people, according to the city’s mayor. Many traveled from afar by train after a television broadcast advertised free accommodation at hotels and guesthouses. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, who is based in Qatar, visited Tehran on Wednesday for one of Raisi’s funeral processions.
Thousands more gathered at the Shah Abdol-Azim shrine in Rey, a suburb of Tehran, to attend Amir-Abdollahian’s funeral. Chants of “death to Israel, death to America” echoed through the crowds at the shrine, where people waved Iranian, Palestinian, Hezbollah, and Hamas flags. Mourners squeezed tightly into the shrine’s courtyard where, teary-eyed and praying, they threw fresh flowers onto Amir-Abdollahian’s coffin as it arrived for its final rest.
“We’re bidding farewell,” 45-year-old Tahere Mehrabi said, her hands held up in prayer. “The nation is grieving, but we’re hoping for a bright future. That’s also why I’m heading to the polls,” she added.
Islamic scholar Hamid Rajeri, 45, confirmed his intention to vote but added with disgust that he had also seen a different side of Iran “while the whole country was grieving,” referring to social media posts celebrating Raisi’s death. “These martyrs were popular figures and our people are devastated. Those celebrating are hooligans,” he said.
Raisi’s death has exposed further fissures in Iranian society. While millions grieved, others used the unexpected national holiday for an impromptu vacation, traveling to northern Iran’s mountains. In Tehran, groups of students who lacked the funds for trips gathered in coffee shops and parks, playing card games and drinking hot black tea from thermoses.
“Why should we be sad? We know him as the ‘Butcher of Tehran,’” said an 18-year-old engineering student, her bright pink hair uncovered and her ears decked with piercings. She spoke on the condition of anonymity, fearing identification by the government. In the 1980s, Raisi oversaw mass executions of political prisoners, she added.
Under his leadership in 2022, Iran cracked down hard on anti-government protests following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was detained by Iran’s morality police for wearing “improper” clothing and later died in the hospital. “We want justice and political change, but the system is not changing. It’s frustrating,” the student said, sitting on the grass with six of her classmates. When asked if she would vote next month, she shook her head. “Not me, not my friends.”
Raisi, known for his close alignment with the 85-year-old Khamenei, was widely regarded by experts as his potential successor. Raisi assumed office in 2021 after the Guardian Council disqualified several moderate and reformist opponents in that year’s presidential election, triggering record-low voter turnout of 48.8 percent. Experts say that the upcoming election is unlikely to bring significant changes to Iran’s ruling system. Just 41 percent of eligible voters participated in March’s parliamentary election.
“Back in 2021, the supreme leader wanted a true loyalist in power, a supporter of the deep state and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,” said Hamidreza Azizi, an expert on Iranian foreign policy and visiting fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. “Nothing substantial has changed on that front. The government is seeking a safe transition of supreme leaders, so it is unlikely that they will allow outsiders to come in and jeopardize this interest.” Given Khamenei’s age, many are speculating about his health and potential succession.
Azizi does not expect significant changes in voter turnout, either. “Even if moderate and reformist candidates are qualified in the upcoming elections—which isn’t guaranteed—I don’t think people will show up in big numbers,” he said. Dislike of the government is also widespread among Iranians, Azizi said. The urban middle class has expressed this sentiment on social media and via social disobedience, such as women’s refusal to wear the mandatory headscarf. Dissatisfaction has grown in smaller, lower-income towns, too, where residents have launched sporadic protests against the government over economic struggles.
“The reality is that all Iranians suffer from economic, social, and political restrictions, and there is no immediate solution in sight—especially as long as foreign sanctions and systemic corruption exist,” Azizi added.
However, some experts argue that the upcoming snap election presents an opportunity for change in Iran. “Last time, the Guardian Council disqualified several people, but it appears they will have a more inclusive approach this time, mostly due to the low voter turnout during the 2021 polls and the criticism the council faced,” explained Afifeh Abedi, a reformist parliamentary candidate for the Tehran constituency who ran in Iran’s legislative elections this spring.
With official campaigns set to start on June 12, Abedi hopes that a more inclusive approach to elections and candidate qualification will bring Iranians to the polls—especially in the capital, where voter participation has been lower than in other provinces.
As the mourning period and funerals concluded last Friday, Tehran returned to normalcy, save for the Raisi banners and black flags. Shops were open, and restaurants were packed. Over the weekend, students strolled down the city center’s Enghelab Street, rummaging through bookstores and ordering saffron ice cream floats with carrot juice. In the evenings, dozens of people gathered on a hilltop dubbed the “roof of Tehran” to watch the sun set over the city. Children flew kites, young couples sat listening to music, and families poured cups of tea.
“Between sanctions, politics, and the economy, life isn’t easy here,” a 20-year-old woman said as she sat with her friends after trekking up the hill, staring into the city lights. She, too, spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect her safety. “Many young people want to leave, but after all, this is our country. This is our culture. It’s home—and regardless of the circumstances, leaving home is not easy.”

The countdown to our departure from the swamp to the freezer of the world has started. Last week was my last week of work, and Naomi likes to now tease me saying I'm partially retired... So what do retired people do? Travel. When we were deciding where to go for our last trip on this side of the globe, we initially had planned for it to be in Europe. But after checking flight tickets and times, South Africa seemed like the place to go. Maybe the many friends that have recommended it also played a small role.
We arrived in SA on Thursday eve where we picked up our rental car and drove to our guesthouse.
Day 1 we hiked up Table Mountain via the Platteklip Gorge. Upon reaching the table we first hiked to the smallest and flattest peak I have ever seen. From there on we hiked along the ridge, which presented some stunning views of the city below to the cable cart that took us back down. After our hike we drove into town to visit a neighbourhood called Bo Kaap, where many of the houses are bright and colourful. This represents the event when slaves were allowed to buy their own houses and did not have to rent the standardized white houses they lived in before. When getting out of our car a guy approached us and told us he was our "parking attendant" for which a small donation was welcome. Being the poster boy tourist, tall, blond and white he must've seen his chance for which he was greatly rewarded. Because we didn't have any small change on us, he suggested going to the shop across the road to buy him some food. This turned out to be a months worth of peanut butter and oil totalling 8 euros, for what would end up to be a 30 minute parking session. Amsterdam parking tariff isn't that bad after all. Note to self, always carry small change for tipping. At least when we got back to our car the windows had not been smashed, tires not deflated and we could spread the Dutch love for peanut butter.
Day 2 was rainy and misty, so we decided to do our drive around Cape Peninsula that day. First stop was visiting a penguin colony, where we applied our learnings from the day before and tipped the parking attendant the appropriate amount. We continued our journey to Cape of Good Hope, where the rain stopped... and it started to pour. Unfortunately, visibility wasn't great, and the name "good hope" turned out to be false advertising as it only got worse. When leaving the park we ran into a wild zebra, which caught us all by surprise. Didn't zebras only live on the savanna far away from civilization? I was definitely not expecting to see one out here, but a comforting surprise to a day where the pouring had turned into hosing from the sky. On with the drive, we stopped at a local coffee shop in Scarborough where we ate the most delicious sweet potato wedges ever. That fries shop in Sydney Australia has been beaten and we proceeded on our coastal drive up north again. Halfway along we stopped for a hike up Chapmans Peak. Unsurprisingly, the peak was also covered in clouds, so we did half the hike and waited for the bay to clear up while hiding under a bush. Once it cleared up, the view was lovely.
On day 3 we got up at 5am to hike up Lion's Head to see the sunrise over Cape Town. Halfway up the view was clear and the city beautifully lit by all its lights. At the top the clouds rolled in again preventing us from a clear view of the city, but the sunrise was pretty nevertheless. We headed to the botanical gardens where we saw the most special plants so far only seen on National Geographics. We had lunch at the local foodmarket where I had a 500 gram serving of beef ribs from the braai. Lekker! In the eve we made good use of Brandon and Michaela's, our SA friends, Spurs giftcard to endulge ourself over a hearty meal. For me this time a 500 gram T-bone steak. Equally delightful was that we got to watch Arsenal beat Man Utd. 3-1 to send the reds to the right side of the table.
Coming up will be our 5 day roadtrip over the Garden Route, followed by 5 days in Kruger nation park where we DO expect to see zebras. Not too busy packing for our move yet. That will come after this trip.
