Hawuu could i request prompts 9. standing up for a loved one and 42.realizing their feelings for Druig (if two prompts aren't allowed you can pick 42) thanks
A/N - Hawuu! Thanks for requesting this, dear friend! I love this for Druig, and I'll do number 42 for you! Thanks again!
Hold
Summary - Druig had a hold on you, whether you knew it or not
Warnings - Just a hint of angst but mostly fluff
“Let’s go for a swim,”
“What about Ajak and her meeting? And you know I can’t swim!”
“You can still put your feet in and sit near the edge, and that meeting is not for another hour or so, we can slip away for a quick swim at the lake, don’t you think?”
You grabbed your bag and followed Makkari out of the Domo, Makkari wishing to walk since running wouldn’t be as fun. The weather was nice and too warm for your liking to hide away in the Domo all day long, and since there was going to do with the humans that morning the Eternals were a bit restless. So Sersi and Ikaris went off together for a walk, Kingo went to the market to shop and mingle with the humans, Gilgamesh took Thena off riding along the riverbanks, Phastos worked on some inventions in his lab, and Sprite stayed behind in her room to read some of the books Makkari got her.
Druig ventured off earlier that morning before the heat came in, which was coming for him since he was mostly one to be on his own and ponder his thoughts and predictions about the humans. You knew he liked the solstice most of the time, but not always. He was more hardwired to think deeper and more sensible when it came to the human race, not that the others didn’t. But with how he would talk to you about wishing there to be peace, wishing to stop all the hurt that they would inflict on one another, you knew how deep his heart and soul was.
It was so easy to fall into a friendship with him, yet in the back of your mind you wondered if it would go past that.
Makkari was humming along as you two were talking together along the that you knew would lead to the lake. With the sun beating down on the back of your neck and the sweet smells of the wildflowers that already bloomed, you were looking forward to unwind. Some of the recent tasks and jobs you had to do for the humans in their city seemed a bit stressful and uneasy, especially with a couple of near death experiences with Deviants. But thankfully, you were going to leave the city in a few days. It was both bittersweet and celebrated since you all grew to love the humans there and some of the hidden gems.
Including the very lake you are going to.
Once the lake was in sight, you saw Makkari have a pep in her step as the clear blue waters was seen over the little hill. You were revived too, thinking that a dip in the lake would be the best relief on a warm day. Yet you never realized that you two would have company, since you froze in your spot on the path from seeing a singular person in the lake. Instantly you knew who it was: the ivory skin was glistened in the water, the highlighted brown hair against a pale forehead, and bright blue eyes that almost mirrored the same shade of the. Lake water.
Druig.
He was still wearing his dark undergarment pants while he was swimming, his muscular back was on display as he was moving back and forth in the lake and going stroke for stroke. Of course he was your friend, all the time he was your friend and someone you could rely on with your own troubles and needs. Then again, you always had the small possibility of liking him as more than a friend.
Knowing how massive his heart was, now kind he was to the humans that he spoke to, how self assured he was with his beliefs and how he felt about him, that were all great attributes that loved and adored him. Plus it never helped that you saw him as handsome. Even now as you were watching him swim, freely and with nothing hindering him, he looked almost heavenly in the blue waters.
Did you like him?
“Hey! You two comin’ to join me for a swim?” You were snapped back into reality as you heard Druig call out from his spot in the water.
Sorry to break up your solo time, Makkari signed as she walked down the path to the edge of the lake Druig waving her off.
“It’s fine! Come on in, the water’s nice! Plus it’s the once place Ikkaris honest know about, get the golden boy can’t swim like you ladies can,” Druig joked as Makkari was now to her own undergarments. You made it to the edge too, slowly getting down to your undergarments wig ease as Makkari was not waddling not the water. You could hear her sigh in relief as she was getting now calf deep in the water and then to her waist. Once you are down to your undergarments which included pants and a shirt, you dipped your toes in to feel the sudden chill of the water. It made you shiver a bit, and you look out to see there was a massive shallow area in the lake before it dips in deep.
Druig was laughing while Makkari was swimming circles around him, her own smile was just as radiant as the lake water while you were going in a bit deeper and deeper, now about knee deep and right at the edge of the shallow area. The small little dip that dropped off was right in front of it, and although you were an all powerful Eternal who had more strength in your fingers than any human, you were still afraid to attempt to swim. After one nasty attempt to try and learn, all thanks to Kingo, you decided to wait to learn. Sure it seemed childish, but you didn’t care, you weren’t ready. Maybe you’re still not.
“Hey, want me to hold ya?”
Druig swam up to the small edge, hovering a bit in the water as he was looking up at you with his glistened hair against his forehead and his eyes beyond bright. You blinked, fiddling with your fingers.
“What?” You asked.
“I’ll hold ya if you want,” He explained, sounding calm and gentle with you. He knew you never swam and you had some fear swimming, he was even mad at Kingo for almost letting you drown when you were trying to learn from him, but Druig himself never pushed you into learning. It was one of the moments that you never forgot about Druig, his heart for you and making sure you are okay. This was the same way.
“Here, come sit,” he said, gesturing to the ledge that was under the water. Carefully you sat, feeling the water now to your waist and your feel dangling over the edge and in front of Druig. You felt your heart get quick, your hands shaking a bit from being on the top of the water. Druig sensed it and moved, lacing your fingers together and being palm to palm. Instantly, you felt his skin along yours, almost like his rhythmic heartbeat that he was pressing against your own hand.
“Look at me,” He said soothingly, your eyes going from his joined hands over him. He was staring right into your eyes, looking rather calm and sincere with you as he spoke again, “I won’t let ya go, I promise.”
Nodding your head, you took the first moving and slid into the deep water. Your heart plummeted and you were about to gasp out when an arm was instantly around your waist. Your arm was along his shoulder, clinging to you for a moment since you were now hovering in the water and Druig was holding you up. You should feel fear, genuine fear since the last time you tried this, you almost drowned. But this was different, this was another feeling.
Safe. You wee safe.
“There. See?” Druig said as he was still holding you close to him and giving you a warm smile. That’s when it hit you, in the right moment as you grinned back at him. All of those fleeting feelings that you were harboring and wondering were true, all of those times you two spent together on the Domo or out with the humans, they were making sense now as Druig was helping you in such a vulnerable moment. The fear was gone, the worry and wondering was non existent, what you were feeling for Druig was true.
That’s when it hit you: you did like him. Really liked him. Oh…
“Thank you,” You replied lightly, seeing him grin get a bit bigger in return. Yeah, yeah you had it bad for the mind controller.
A splash got on both you and Druig’s faces, you both looking over to see Makkari grinning as she waved.
“Aye, that’s not fair Makkari!” Druig said in a playful tease as Makkari rolled her eyes. You had no idea that Druig was thinking that same thing as you were as he held you close, that he too liked you for so long but was trying to figure out his own feelings and where his heart stayed. If he could, Druig would hold you just a close for as long as he could since he knew you felt safe with him.
And neither of you knew that Makkari already knew of your feelings for one another. She simply rolled her eyes and swam away, wondering when you two will ever get together.
The End

MINORS DNI 18+
“My beautiful lover,” DRUIG breathes his condescending tone. That affectionate nickname he’s come to adore calling you has been sullied with his churlish attitude. He makes fun of how you look now, lying underneath him.
Exceptionally trusting, he does not pin your hands, instead he lets you fight him. Fists grab at his clothes, the lapel of his leather jacket your most common purchase as his lithe middle finger swipes against your clit. You writhe and you cry and you bitch and you moan, but he keeps you right where he wants you with his forearm under your torso. It arches you into him, and you throw your head back when he dips the tip of his finger into your slit, stroking through the line of slick. “You want this, my pet?” he murmurs, and he scoffs in response to your indignant whine, a cruel curl tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Yeah, you know I like to play with you. Like a little toy.” Abruptly, he plunges the entire length of his finger into you to the knuckle, and you cry out, clutching onto his jacket to yank him to you but he remains resolute. All you do is raise yourself to him, brushing your lips against his. He nuzzles you, inhaling your breath. “Yeah, you’re my little toy.”
He pulls out, only to add another finger, but your walls are already so raw. Your clit is overly sensitive, throbbing when he twists his thumb to flick at it. Your hips jerk in reply, and he snickers through his nose, pecking your unresponsive lips. “Humans are so funny, aren’t they?” he muses, but you can barely hear him. He curls his digits in a beckoning motion inside you, stroking that spot that sends electricity up your spine until you fall limp. “Touch on their pleasure centers a bit and they go fucking stupid. You know how easy it would be to-“ The arm locked around your torso squeezes you to him, and it aches but you can only moan. As if you like the pain, when in reality it’s the way his fingers lodge themselves up in your guts and fiddle with your insides. “-break you? Could do it. Could do it easy.” There’s a growling edge to his voice as he threatens you, bringing his teeth to your exposed neck shiny with sweat. He relieves you, the ache dissipates, and the pad of his thumb curiously nudges your clit.
You buck, and he scans your entire bare form. “How many is that, by the way?” he asks, as if he’s asking about the fucking weather. His thumb drives in with more purpose, wiggling with just enough pressure to make you howl from another incoming orgasm. “Have you lost count?”

Wow you’re writing is great! If you’re not busy, would you do a Druig request where he’s in love with his fellow Eternal who’s generally neutral in family fights but one Druig manages to bother her enough that he feels guilty and asks for forgiveness because he can handle everyone else being mad at him but not her? Thank you in advance!
wounding me softly
pairing: druig x fem!eternal!reader
summary: in which druig is increasingly distracted in battle and reader has had enough.
warnings: reader says some slightly not very nice things to druig, sliiiightest angst, brief intimacy
reader pronouns: she/her (by request)
word count: 2.1k
*✧ eternals masterlist | main masterlist | ask ✧*
Druig was getting on your last nerve. Literally.
Arishem had gifted you the ability to heal others, but what you hadn’t told the rest of the Eternals was that this “ability” came with a catch - each time, you had to absorb the injury in order to heal it. Early on in your inception, you’d decided it was some punishment, for what you had no clue, but as you became an integral part of the Eternals and learned from each of them, you’d come to see it as your own private gift - a way to develop untapped empathy and care for others. It made you the beautiful person you were.
Right now, however, Druig was testing your patience. The two of you had spent much time together during the early part of your stay in Babylon, and had grown close enough that Druig had started showboating in battles, leading the two of you to keep a tally of Deviants slain and owing each other various snacks after battle depending on who won. You were happy for the first time in a long, long time. You had even let yourself wonder if there might be more on the horizon between you. Over the last week, however, something had changed. Druig was quieter, withdrawn. You’d find him lost in his thoughts, and, most troublesome was the fact that he seemed to have lost his focus in battle. It was taking its toll.
It had started with slight delays, Druig got where he needed to be but always just a tad too late. At first, you were concerned, checking in on him even though he’d just brush you off. But then you’d begun to get frustrated with the brooding eternal. The battles were becoming more frequent, and as the demand on your abilities grew, so too it seemed did Druig’s wandering mind.
…
Drained and exhausted, you slumped against a wall as Ikaris blasted a Deviant ahead of you on your route to a wounded Kingo.
“Kingo, again?” you sighed as your hands pressed on his abdomen. You felt the deep gash slowly and agonisingly transferring to your own side.
He winced, “It’s not my fault, y/n, I swear-”
“They’re just targeting the weakest link.” Ikaris stated, matter-of-factly.
Kingo scoffed. “Okay, rude.”
Ikaris smirked before responding to Sersi’s summon.
Kingo turned to you, “But seriously, y/n, if Druig showed up every once and a while, maybe these damn Deviants would go down easier.”
You groaned in frustration at the same moment that Kingo sighed in relief. The injury had finished absorbing, but you were severely lightheaded and could barely move. Druig was going to get more than an earful when you got back.
“You’re an angel, y/n.” Kingo announced as he brushed your hair out of your face. “Seriously, I appreciate you so much.”
You grimaced, trying to hide the immense pain you were in. “T-thanks Kingo. Be careful out there, okay?”
He nodded before saluting you. “I won’t let you down, boss.”
…
“Rock, paper, scissors for the last twinkie?”
Druig brushed up against your shoulder playfully in the common space of the Domo, earning him a glare from you, and a chuckle out of Kingo.
“Woah,” Druig began, gesturing to your glare with his twinkie in hand, “Careful with that thing, you could seriously hurt someone!”
You scoffed and walked away, feeling Druig’s confused gaze following your every step. As you walked into your room, you could hear his voice echoing through the walls of the Domo. “Was it something I said?”
“You, my friend, are royally screwed.” Kingo replied, stifling a chuckle.
…
A week had passed since Kingo’s major injury, and you hadn’t spoken a single word to Druig. You knew that the silent treatment was probably a bit immature for an eternal being, but frankly, you couldn’t care less. Being unfocused in battle was one thing, but vanishing when your family needs you the most? That you couldn’t condone.
You knew he’d have an excuse, and part of you was desperate to hear it. You missed him. Of course you did. Your love for him only made your resentment more torturous.
Carefully positioning your still-recovering body against the wall in the meeting room, you watched as the other Eternals filed in with bated breath, wondering how much longer you could keep your secret.
…
Druig’s heart rate spiked as Ajak concluded their meeting, the blood coursing through his veins as he prepared for what he was about to do. He hated confrontation as much as the next person, although the next person was Ikaris...
“Alright, if no one has anything further they wish to present, you’re all dismissed.”
“Actually, Ajak,” Druig began, taking in the eye-rolls from his fellow Eternals as his voice filled the room. “I have something I’d like to discuss.”
Ajak’s patient, loving eyes wandered his face like a warning. “Yes, Druig?”
“Y/n’s been giving me the silent treatment lately, and I’d like to get to the bottom of it.”
“Oh here we go…” muttered Kingo as his eyes met Sprite’s, drawn to the impending drama like a car crash he couldn't tear his eyes from.
“It pains me to bring it up," Druig continued, glaring briefly at Kingo, "but seeing as the Deviants are getting more frequent, I figure we need to gel as a unit, and I don’t feel that we’re doing that.”
“HA,” A voice stirred from the shadowed corner of the meeting room. “You can talk.”
As you emerged from the shadows into the light of the meeting space, Druig took in your appearance - your heavy breathing, the dark bags under your bloodshot eyes, how pale you were. He instinctively moved towards you, resting a featherlight hand on your shoulder. His heart shattered as you winced and pulled away from his usually welcome touch.
“Y/n, you look like crap! What the hell happened?” Then, softly in your ear, “Are you okay?”
Druig felt you tremble the second before you shoved him away from you. “Of course I do! While you’ve been off doing Arishem knows what, we’ve been protecting the humans, and each other, from Deviants. Who, as you so kindly reminded us, are getting more dangerous and more frequent. This is the time that we can’t afford slip-ups, and you’re off with the fairies!”
Druig’s head fell in shame. You hated conflict, least of all with him, and he had driven you to this. He knew it was entirely his fault - he had been distracted lately, and you deserved to know why. “Y/n, I-”
“You’re careless! And you don’t think about anyone but yourself. We can’t afford that, Druig. We’re a team. A family. Act like it.”
He shrunk into himself, every trace of his usual swagger and confidence shattered like the fragile heart he held within. You were right. He had done this to you, left you exhausted and pained - a shell of yourself. The one person he swore he’d never hurt. He mustered the only words he could, hoping they were at least a bandage over your weak frame. At least enough until he could hold you again. “I’m sorry.”
With a deep sigh, he watched as you limped out of the room - step by pained step. Druig looked at the faces of the other Eternals, taking in their disappointment with panicked eyes before rushing out of the room to follow you.
…
“Y/n, wait!”
You groaned as he approached. Every noise you made splintered Druig’s heart a little more. He needed to make this right. Now.
“What, you couldn’t even let me have a badass exit? You’re unbelievable.” You mustered a chuckle to lighten the mood, but Druig saw how it pained you. How you shuddered with each breath.
“Oh my darlin’, you’re not okay.”
You raised an eyebrow, “Obviously, Druig. But great to know you weren’t even listening to my speech-”
“No, I can see it - something’s really wrong.” He lifted an arm above yours and studied your eyes carefully for permission before gently lifting your arm over his shoulder. “Let’s get you to lay down, we can talk when you’re comfortable.”
You winced as Druig lifted your arm, but hummed gratefully at his concern, lifting his hopes ever so slightly that things might just be okay. That he might win his best friend back, if he could muster the courage to be sincere enough.
Druig guided you to your room, and lay you gently on your bed, relishing in the comfortable sigh that emerged from your lips. You looked up at him, guarded but gentle. “Thank you, Druig.”
“You’re welcome, my darlin’.” He softened as he took you in. Then, he eyed your bed. “Mind if I lay with you?”
You hesitated for a moment before nodding your permission.
The silence that followed was full of unspoken emotions. Of feelings too large for the room, but deep enough to create a chasm between you. Until your voice echoed through the dark.
“What’s been going on with you lately? You’re a formidable warrior, unrelenting in battle. What could possibly have you distracted enough that you’d ignore Kingo’s calls for aid?”
Druig sighed. “Look, y/n. It seems we’ve both been keeping secrets. I’ll tell you mine if you promise to tell me yours?”
You eyed his outstretched pinky. “I cannot believe you’re making me pinky swear like our inception was yesterday.”
He laughed gently, “You know you love it.”
Rolling your eyes, you took his pinky in yours. “Fine, pinky swear.”
While your pinkies were still entwined, Druig quickly added, “but you go first!” before letting go.
“You are an actual child, Druig.”
“And you have a secret to tell me…” he replied in a sing-song voice.
The mood was instantly quashed by your serious tone. “I…”
Carefully, Druig took your hand in his. “You know you can tell me anything, my darlin’, I’m not going anywhere.”
You took a deep breath as you looked up at him, meeting his concerned irises.
“My abilities come with a cost. A condition. I can’t heal anyone without taking on their pain first.” Druig searched your eyes, horrified by your words and connecting the dots as you continued, “So, each time I’ve healed the others in battle recently…”
“...you’ve had to take on their injuries yourself and heal from them.” He finished for you.
You nodded sombrely. “Each, and every one. Individually.”
“Oh, my beautiful, beautiful, y/n. Why didn’t you tell us?” Druig looked down sheepishly at your entwined hands before quietly adding, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Your voice was smaller than Druig had ever heard it as you replied, laced with the worries and insecurities you had held inside for an eternity. “I…I didn’t want to burden anyone, to let anyone down, and…I didn’t want you to look down on me for being the only Eternal whose powers are conditional. I was ashamed for a really long time.”
“I could never look down on you, y/n.” Druig began, turning to face you as he gently cupped your cheek and stared into your eyes. “I…I love you.”
Your eyes widened, “You…you do?”
He chuckled sadly, “Of course I do, you beautiful, oblivious fool. I’ve loved you forever.” Druig looked down bashfully before muttering under his breath. “That’s uh, that’s actually why I’ve been so distracted lately.”
“Wait, WHAT?”
“I know, I know, it’s so dumb. I just, I’ve been wanting to ask you if you would ever consider seeing me as more than just the brooding Eternal that boasts in battle for snacks because he’s too shy to ask the girl he loves to be his. I never thought you would ever see me as more and I…I would daydream about us in battle, I couldn’t stop thinking about you. About us. Then, last week I saw these flowers - daisies, I- I know they’re your favourite - when this Deviant shoved me to the ground deep in the forest and I thought they would be perfect for some grand romantic gesture and then I heard about Kingo and- I’m so sorry y/n, I ruined everything, I hurt you, and-”
Druig’s panicked rambling faded into nothingness the second he felt your lips graze his. Gentle, shy at first, and then more deeply, with a passion that he felt at his core. He moaned against your lips, “Y-y/n, I-”
“That is somehow equally the sweetest and dumbest thing I’ve ever heard come out of that beautiful-” kiss, “-beautiful-” kiss, “-mouth.”
With a lovestruck gaze, and an empty mind, Druig’s eyes moved from your lips to your eyes as he took in the sight before him. “Y-you forgive me?”
You smiled then, cupping his face gently before placing another tentative kiss on his waiting lips. “I’ll do you one better. I love you, you sweet, idiotic Eternal. I’d be honoured to be yours.”
The two of you lay there in contented silence, falling asleep entwined in each other's embrace, knowing that everything would be okay. Knowing that you had each other. ...
a/n: hi lovely, i’m so very sorry for how long it’s taken me to get around to this request. it was my last druig request for AGES and I was just so nervous that if I wrote my last druig request I wouldn't get any more, so I held onto this baby like my life depended on it. that being said, I tweaked the request a little bit and I ADORED writing this. I hope that it’s everything that you wanted it to be, and please please feel free to request for baby boy again because I love writing for him SO MUCH 🤍
i’m so excited to get back into writing again, i finally finished my honours degree and I have so much creativity it’s not even funny - hoping to really smash out a bunch of your requests and create a writing schedule so i can keep it up because i miss and love writing for you all! thank you so much for your patience and support, you mean the world to me and i’m thankful for you every day

Did You Miss Me?
Druig x fem!reader
Masterlist
Summary: When the Emergence began, Druig had to erase your memories of him. Now, he's come back to remind you.
Word count: ~4.5k
Warnings: Angst, Druig pining. Some swearing. Lots of fluff. Powers? Druig erasing memories.
A/n: I'm not done with Druig yet haha. I might write more for this story if anyone's interested. I'd love to know your thoughts, I'm pretty happy with this one. Thank you as always for reading <3
--
He watched you from afar. Trying to blend in with others around the park, he watched as you and a friend sat out on a blanket in the soft grass. Small plates of food and glasses surrounded the picnic basket, and you looked as beautiful as you’d always been.
From someone else’s view, he’d probably look relaxed lounging in the shade of the large tree, his back pressed against the bark. But his throat felt tight, his chest aching at what he saw. It’d been years, and you still took his breath away like it was the easiest thing in the world.
Then you laughed at something your friend said, the sound of it swimming to his ears and stayed there as he replayed it over and over again. Beneath the afternoon sun, he wanted nothing more than to lay beside you on that blanket — talk about anything or nothing, as long as he was near you. But you hadn’t laughed like that with him in a long time, hadn’t looked so at ease and happy when he’d said goodbye last time. How could he be the one to ruin that?
–
On that rainy Saturday, running around the little bookshop you’d been working at for a few years now, you barely caught a breath in between helping readers around the store. Weekends tended to be busy, but on a stormy day like this one, you couldn’t blame all the people coming in to hide from the rain or to spend a quiet day finding their next book.
During a spare moment, your eyes traced down the shop’s windows. You watched raindrops race each other down the glass and make the cement below grow darker. Absently, your hand reached up to your neck, trying to massage a knot out of the muscle running down to your shoulder.
You thought back to when you’d first come here, and you let your vision unfocus for a moment, the images of the occupied customers turning fuzzy. Trying to remember how exactly you’d gotten here always felt just out of reach, falling through your fingertips — like you’d been at home living your life one day, and the next, you’d decided to move here and begin your new life.
It’d been just as rainy the first day you came to the city, but the chilly storm had felt like a restart against your skin. In the back of your mind, you’d always wanted to have a bookshop of your own and live a quiet life among other readers, and perhaps a sweet cat.
And you’d done it, taking a job from an older woman, Carrie, near the edges of the city. Most days, you arrived early to help set things up and went home after your shift, or when Carrie shooed you away during a particularly slow day.
Your first-floor apartment was nothing to complain about, except for the draft your landlord kept “forgetting” to fix. You’d even gotten that cat after he’d refused to leave your door until you fed him — black as night, affectionate, and always hungry. You’d named him Orion.
Still, when you sat at a restaurant alone and listened to couples laugh together or when you couldn’t quite become lost in a book as easily, some part of you felt… off. Like you were one of the window raindrops that never moved, just watching all the rest pass by without you. And you were missing out on something.
Now, standing there behind the checkout counter and watching the water spill down outside, you saw a man looking in. People passed by with curious gazes all the time, but he stood on the sidewalk with an umbrella and hooded denim jacket. You couldn’t quite make out his face, but in the back of your mind, it felt as if your window raindrop had moved an inch or so. And that jolting feeling only sharpened into surprise when someone walked up to you.
“Excuse me?”
You blinked, your awareness coming back to you as a woman said those words with a soft grin. When you looked back at the spot, the man had left already — like he’d never been there to begin with.
Shaking your head, you returned the smile. “Sorry about that. How can I help you?”
She told you the novel she was looking for, and you happily brought her to the aisle as you both made small talk. You tended to avoid it, especially with all the current events that seemed to continually fill the news, most of them involving everyday threats and the superheroes to stop them.
But that’s what books were for you, you thought while giving her the novel — a brief escape from life to live another one. And even the customer’s excited thanks brought you back to your mind, away from those thoughts of the past, the ones you couldn’t quite reach.
They stayed away as you finished your shift and returned home, taking a warm shower and making yourself a cup of tea. But that night, through the rain that’d turned into a vicious thunderstorm, you dreamt of friends.
At least, they seemed to be friends as all of you — nearly a dozen people — sat around a dining table. The smell of the warm food nearly had your mouth watering, countless plates of it passing from person to person. Drinks and laughter flowed between these friends that you didn’t know the names of and faces you couldn’t recognize.
You also couldn’t catch any of the words they said, but you smiled with them as a feeling of familiar comfort settled into your body. Somehow, you trusted them. And as someone at the other end of the table raised a toast, to all of you — their family — you lifted your glass alongside everyone else.
While they spoke, the man sitting to your right wrapped his hand around yours and gave it a soft squeeze. Your eyes glanced down to where your fingers intertwined, each one fitting together just right.
But before you could look up at his face, a loud crack of thunder erupted, startling you awake in your dark bedroom. In the middle of the night, only the noise of your deep breaths filled the air, replacing the sounds of laughter and glasses clinking together.
In the silence that suddenly felt like too much, you shifted, staring up at the ceiling. Sweat created a slick layer across your skin, coating you in a haze. Sleep fought you for the rest of the night. When the morning sun washed onto your face, it felt all too soon.
But despite your tired eyes and having work off today, you eventually pulled yourself out of bed. The day was bright, and you were going to make the most of it… or at least change out of your pajamas. Your hand swept over Orion’s black fur as you went through your morning routine. You tried focusing more on the bristles of your toothbrush or the taste of your breakfast rather than on how familiar last night’s dream felt.
But you weren’t in a dining room, you were here in your apartment — the one you’d been alone in for a few years. Well, except for Orion, as you were promptly reminded while sitting on the couch. He nuzzled up against your arm, clearly thinking your time was better spent petting him than reading the new book you’d gotten.
You opened up the window next to the street before scratching under his chin. His purring joined the noises of birds and traffic in the background while you opened the book. You’d only made it two chapters before Orion jumped up, meowing toward the window screen.
“What is it, buddy?” you asked, sitting up so you could see out the window, expecting to see a critter outside. But you saw nothing, not even as he wriggled his head into the corner of the screen — the broken side that definitely needed to be sealed again. Your hands reached out to grab him back, but he’d squirmed through before you could stop him.
“Shit,” you whispered under your breath as you scrambled toward your door, your book clattering to the floor. Running outside and around the side of your building, your heart pounded, knowing Orion could go right into the street or get lost out here. You caught the end of his tail going around toward the parking lot — and the busy road beyond it.
–
He shouldn’t have been at the bookstore, not after creating this new life for you — away from him — when the Emergence began. After erasing your memories of him for your own safety. He’d said he’d come back, but he also promised to do what was best for you.
He should’ve left days ago. He’d be halfway home by now. But that’d mean leaving you, for good.
–
As you turned the corner, you didn’t find your cat sprinting away. Instead, he stood at the edge of the parking lot, his head happily rubbing against someone’s jean-clad legs. For a moment, you stopped short, watching Orion act so affectionately toward this stranger. All you could say was, “I’m so sorry, I’ve never seen him do this before.”
You scooped him up in your arms, despite the ongoing meowing protests he let out. When you lifted your head, ready to thank the man, your eyes caught on his. Any words fell flat in the back of your throat as you looked into the eyes rippling with the color of the ocean. Your eyebrows furrowed together, your head tilting to the side as you took in this man, a baseball cap covering part of his face.
“...Do I know you from somewhere?” Your question hung in the air between you two, your arms wrapped tight around your cat. Feeling a bit silly for even asking, you shook your head. “I, uh, work at a bookstore, so I probably see countless people every day,” you said, followed by an unsure laugh.
“Maybe,” he responded, offering a small smile — one that made your stomach flutter. He nodded, about to turn away when you opened your mouth once again.
“I didn’t thank you… for stopping Orion from getting away.” You held up Orion, giving him a smile of gratitude.
This stopped the man, his head tilting this time. “Orion?” he asked, an accent hanging onto his words. His eyes watching you began to soften. “I like the name.”
You weren’t sure why, but the way the man’s gaze settled on you and your cat made you feel calm — like your body resisted going back to your apartment just yet. Orion certainly didn’t take to just anyone.
But this was a stranger, and you had your cat back. So you gave another thank you and left the man. Before any other escapes could occur, you closed your apartment window with hunched shoulders and a sigh.
–
Standing outside the apartment, he rubbed a hand down his face, releasing a silent groan. That part of him telling him to leave, that you’re happier and safer here in this new life, sat heavy on his chest. Maybe in another life, you’ll have her, it said, trying desperately to convince him. But he wouldn’t have her in another life. Because he had thousands to live, and you only had one.
The other part of him thought about the life they could lead together — one where he didn’t have to force himself to forget your smile that made his steps falter. He’d nearly come clean just from how you had looked at him, your eyes sticking to him like honey.
He’d balled his fingers into a fist to stop from running a thumb across your cheek, from smoothing out the worries that filled your body. He wanted you to engulf his mind the way his powers could do to others, living out the rest of time entwined together in every form.
And dreaming of a life he’d selfishly choose — taking you away from everything you’d created here — hurt worse than walking away right now.
But… you’d recognized him. He saw it pass across your face. And you remembered that Orion was his favorite constellation. You remembered him.
–
For a bit, you tried to get back into your book despite Orion’s incessant meowing at the window. When you hadn’t made it past the one paragraph you’d been rereading for a half hour now, your mind reeling with the eyes made from the sky itself, you turned on the TV instead.
That night, after falling asleep with takeout in your stomach and an old rom-com playing in the background, you dreamt of a bedroom. Your bedroom, and of a man you couldn’t quite see the face of.
Morning light washed the room in a golden color, where you saw the back of him staring out the window. All of it shimmered under a fuzzy haze as his contagious laughter made you blink the sleep out of your heavy eyes.
You drew in the image of his soft hair, the color of warm syrup, and his pants that you could’ve sworn you’d seen before. Or least smelled, the soft scent of him bathing you in coffee and leather, along with something you couldn’t pick out, but it felt… familiar. He wore no shirt, the planes of his back open and calling for you to brush your hands along, mapping the freckles.
But you blinked again, and the bedroom shifted. Moonlight flooded the room this time, leaving the corners pitch black. The man with the brown hair paced back and forth, but his face again always sat in the shadows.
Somehow, you knew you’d had an argument this time — not a resentful fight, but a tense conversation that pulled your relationship, whatever it was, at the seams. Anger didn’t fuel it. You knew because in the cavity of your chest sat a deep sadness and worry. Your hand itched to reach out to him, but no matter what you tried, you couldn’t move.
All you could do was sit there and watch as whatever worry ate away at him. You woke up that morning with tear-stained cheeks. No one stood looking out your window like they belonged there. The early sunlight didn’t feel as warm as the one in your dream.
Your mind struggled to keep away from wondering what all this meant, even during your busy shift at the bookstore. It all felt half-hearted as you turned from customer to customer and shelved books in between.
You only snapped back into the moment when a child ran by and knocked the display you’d just built to the ground. You supposed that was one way to take your mind off of things. But silently, you cursed whichever god of fate was against you as the display also hit your water bottle, spilling it onto your shoes. A pained sigh eased its way silently from your mouth, the noise joined by the soft squelching under your feet.
The kid’s dad offered a “Sorry” and a look that said, “What can you do?” You thought there were several things he could do, but you just swallowed them down with a smile as you went to grab paper towels.
Between bending over to soak up the water and spending too long rebuilding the book display, your back ached by the end. Your fingers clenched and unclenched in painful movements, too tired to massage the knots from your stiff neck.
Carrie sent you home a little early, rubbing a wrinkled hand down your arm. “You did better than me. I would’ve poured the water in my shoes on him,” she laughed, and it brought a real smile to your face.
It kept you going as you made the walk to the nearby cafe despite your uncomfortable feet. You were at least going to end this day with a well-deserved drink in your hands. The scent of the shop’s bakery section hit you, and no sprinting children were in sight — already an improvement. You kept your eyes on the menu while you waited in the short line, already knowing your order but hoping reading the words would keep your mind off the day so far.
After the man in front of you finished paying, you ordered your go-to drink full of enough caffeine and sweetness to keep you from taking a nap the second you made it home. Off to the side, you mindlessly scrolled on your phone while your drink was being made. But quicker than you expected, another barista called your order.
You’d only taken a small step forward when a man grabbed the drink first. Pausing, a moment passed before the same order was called again for the next drink they set on the counter. Your steps began again, your hand wrapping around the cup and savoring its warmth against the skin of your palm.
The man grabbing the identical drink with all your usual add-ons — same size and everything — smiled at you. “You’ve got great taste,” he said, offering a small grin. “Got hooked on this drink a while back.”
Your smile in return dropped for a second as you finally looked at him. Your gaze found the sweep of his syrupy brown hair, traveling down to the intensity of his eyes on you.
“Hey, you saved my cat,” you said, looking between the drinks and him in slight disbelief. You weren’t sure why you were talking to him, but you found it came naturally to say something. Inclining your head toward him, you said, “I never got your name.”
He nodded. “Dru works.”
–
“Dru…”
He watched you curl your mouth around the name and knew you were going to be the death of him. He’d already known this when you first met years ago, but watching your lips say even half his name was the sweetest sound he’d ever heard. And when you told him your name, he nearly laughed — as if your name hadn’t been his favorite word.
Makkari would’ve called him a coward.
–
“Well, Dru, thank you again for keeping Orion from becoming a street cat,” you said with a grin. You took a sip from your drink, the two of you moving off to the side.
“Oh, ‘s no problem. My pleasure.” You loved the lilt of his words, the way they wrapped around you in a hug. “But how’s he doing? Hope there’ve been no more escape attempts.”
Shaking your head, you let out a sigh. “No, thankfully. He just incessantly meows while I’m trying to read.”
You watched his teeth dig into the corner of his lip as he smiled. “Ah, not very relaxing then. D’you read a lot?” he asked, taking a drink — his gaze never leaving you.
“Only as a career. And most of the other time,” you laughed, your fingers picking at the lip of your cup. “I work at the bookstore next door. Do you read much?”
You quickly added, “I won’t judge if you don’t. You just came across as a reader.”
His eyebrows rose high, his mouth dropping open a little. “A reader? I don’t come across as one of those models on those steamy romance novel covers?” he said with a teasing look in his expression, his shoulders swaying. “I’ve got some things to change.”
You couldn’t stop the giggles from bubbling up at his comment. “No, no! I see it now,” you told him through a wide smile.
You pretended to look him up and down (really, it was only for the joke. Your eyes didn’t linger at all). The leather jacket and dark jeans hugging his body certainly fell into line with those cheesy romances you’d seen (and read). Holding back a grin, you pursed your lips. “After rescuing Orion, I think you’d be perfect for something like… My Purrfect Savior.”
His smile turned sly, disbelieving as he shook his head. “No… they can’t really be that bad.”
You nodded, letting out a breathless chuckle. “I swear on my life.”
His shock turned into a wide grin as laughter took over him, his shoulders shaking as he leaned toward you.
But the sound of his laughter, full of something warm and bright, had your smile dropping. Staring straight at him, maybe through him, you knew it felt identical to the one you’d heard in your dream last night. It felt like a blow to your stomach, sending you hunching over slightly.
His own face sunk, and suddenly, you hated that you recognized that look. It came with hundreds of moments that crushed against your ribs.
In an instant, memories rushed back into your mind — images of him, of his family, of your life together. A gasp escaped your mouth as you staggered back away from him. A whisper passed your lips.
“Druig.”
–
Fuck.
He knew you were going to hate him. But you sure said his name like a prayer.
–
Your breaths felt too shallow as Druig took your arm and your drink, guiding you out of the cafe with quick steps. The sun felt too bright against your eyes, suffocating. Or was that your lungs not working?
He took you to a bench to sit down on, his hand hovering over you — hesitant. You weren’t sure whether you wanted to be wrapped in his arms or to punch him off the bench. Your shaky hands pressed against your face, trying to keep you grounded.
“I’m so sorry, sweetheart.”
Sweetheart. The man who was just a stranger now called you sweetheart, and he was no longer a stranger. He was your Druig, the one that’d erased your memories of the Eternals to keep you safe — against the wishes of your heart and the hot tears stinging your eyes when he’d told you. Despite you agreeing in the end, it’s for the best. It’d made the risk of him dying easier… if you didn’t know he existed in the first place.
“Please say something,” he whispered, his fingers finally making contact against your back, softly rubbing up and down.
The touch felt electric, buzzing full of a million things unsaid. After a minute, you rubbed your eyes with the backs of your hands, risking a glance up at him. “Is it really you?”
It’s really me. He spoke it into your mind, the first time he’d done so in years. The words came with a comforting weight that loosened a sigh from you.
As you stared at him, seeing tears of his own well up, something clicked into place. You lunged forward, wrapping your arms around his neck. “You’re okay, you’re okay,” you whispered over and over again against his skin.
“I’m okay,” he murmured, resting his cheek on your head. “I’m sorry, this is not how I meant things to go. I… I almost didn’t say anything.”
“I should’ve known that when we agreed to do this,” you said, a bittersweet laugh coating your voice.
Silence passed, and you could feel the unspoken words in his throat. Still, you waited until he said, “Are you sure? I can make you forget again, if you wan-”
“Druig,” you said, the sweetness of your voice almost offset by your exhaustion. “Please, shut up. You’re not leaving me again.”
He let out a long, shaky breath that shook to your core. His tense shoulders finally slumped, his body leaning into you even more.
“I couldn’t stay away from you.”
“I know,” you whispered, just holding onto him. The rise and fall of your chest fell in line with his. Silently, you thanked whatever fate brought him back to you.
It wasn’t fate. It was you. Not much could’ve made me stay away from you.
Pulling back, you glared at him, though you were too happy to see him for it to look very real. “I don’t think I missed that part of you.”
He offered a sorta apologetic smile. “Couldn’t help myself. Missed all of you, your mind too.” He rubbed his hand down the back of your head, stroking along your neck as if to make the point.
You understood what he meant, especially all those moments when you’d felt like something was missing. It was always him.
“So it’s all over then? The Emergence — I saw it on the news a while ago, but what happened?” you asked him, playing with the hair at the nape of his neck.
He brought his forehead to yours, letting out a soft breath. “We stopped it. Then I had to get things settled in the aftermath, traveled with Makkari and Thena for a few years. I’m sorry I was away for so long, but…”
You knew. He did it for you, to make sure your life would stay safe.
“I’ve missed them,” you sighed out, smiling at the memories of the other Eternals. “Oh and thank you, for saving the world,” you said with a weak laugh.
He just smiled with you as he swiped his thumb along your cheeks, dragging the last tears away. “My beauty. I don’t know how you remembered. With my powers, that’s never happened to anyone.”
A soft smile grew along your face. “I’m not just anyone, Druig.”
His hands pulled your face closer. “No, no you’re not,” he whispered against your lips. His mouth brushed along yours before fully kissing you. It tasted of the years apart, as if making up for lost time. He kissed you until your lungs begged for air, making you reluctantly move back, settling in next to him.
He grabbed your drinks — the one you’d gotten him hooked on — and pulled you into his arms once again. You weren’t sure how long the two of you had been sitting there, the warmth still present on your lips. It wasn’t until the sun began to dip below the city’s skyline that you said anything.
“Love?” you asked, your eyes resting shut. His arm fell around your shoulder, the two of you watching the world together.
“Hmm?”
Laying your head back against him, you whispered, “Play me a memory of us. A happy one.”
So he did, flashing a memory into your mind — one where you met the other Eternals for the first time, their family immediately embracing you. And surrounded by joy and laughter, you still held onto Druig’s hand. A tether keeping you close, a lifeline.
The warmth of it seeped throughout your body, holding you tight. It played out all through the way home. You reminisced on the memories you’d missed and imagined the new ones you’d be making.
And back at the home you’d share together for a while, after finding your old life again, you laid with Druig in bed. Between retellings of all the events he’d survived, the two of you found moments of happiness — bright stars amongst the dark background. Or a strike of lightning illuminating the window, showing two raindrops entwining themselves.
The entire time, his hand traced shapes along your skin, his touch never leaving you for long. You savored the weight of him pressed to you, an ever-present reminder of what you’d missed, of what you’d both sacrificed. You fell asleep to his soft voice brushing against the curve of your ear, whispering “I love you” again and again.
That night, you dreamt of no one.

Has anyone ever wanted/been interested in using a beta reader for fanfics and if so how does one get into that? I know it's something I'd 100% be down for. No fee. No cost just the love of fanfiction and being able to discuss them with some truly amazing authors and help them out. I know when I write, at some point you've seen and critiqued your own work so much you need fresh eyes. 🙏🏻

No matter how the rest of the team believed, what ideas his own children liked to conjure, how the tale was spun by generations -- Druig did not fall in love with his wife at first sight. He knew who you were, Kaetlyn, a fighter who could manipulate the shadows of every living being. You would later the mother of surgery and modern medicine- and even beyond that, a scholar and pioneer for feats of magic that remain untouched even by the greatest of the Supremes in the Mystic Arts.
He couldn’t remember the time he first realized that he loved you- he only knew that when he recognized it, he had fallen so deeply that he could no longer remember what it felt like not to be in love you. You were everywhere. There was simply no place left on this planet where Druig would wander that you wouldn’t be there beckoning him to you.
It was almost shameful how long it took for him to fall in love with you in comparison to how quickly you adored him. It had taken him over 100 years for you to fully gain his attention, and another 200 years for you to wait for him to confess his reciprocation. 200 years of clever banter and harmless flirting that shifted to longing gazes and lingering touches, until you finally had enough of his lame patience and reluctance. You dragged Druig to a secluded area- away from the Domo and humans alike, and took his face in your hands and forced his lips to yours. One kiss become two, two became five, and soon you and he had joined together in an explosion of passion that would bind you to him for the rest of eternity.
The sun had long set, and stars and moon glittered in the night. The two of you were as naked as the days you were born. Your need to have each other was beyond a matter of lust, it was primal need. Druig had torn your clothes without any thought- he starved for you. Any barrier that separated your body from him was flung away. Your skin glowed in the moonlight, every curve and line of your frame gloriously highlighted for his eyes alone. His lily-bloomed skin laid under you, ready for anything and everything you would give him. He still remembered the words you whispered to warn him all that would come as a result of your love.
“Druig, I must warn you,” you whispered. Druig kissed you across your collarbone, and you tugged on his hair to gaze into his eyes. “I can be very selfish- I will have all of you, or none of you.”
He could feel your wet center throb with each wince that escaped his lips. “You already do, my love,” he whispered back, silently pleading you to let him continue. “I swear you do.”
He craved you. He desperately wanted to map his tongue and lips across your body; he wanted to memorize the feel of your skin, the smell of your sweat, the taste of your cum. Whatever you gave him, he wanted it all.
Pushing him to lay on his back, you crawled forward to hover your soaked cunt over his cock. “I’m selfish- relentlessly so, any other woman that catches your eye will feel no end of my wrath.” You lowered yourself only enough so that his tip could paint its precum on your clit, the corner of your lips curled into a cruel smirk in response to the strangled moan he let out. Your body trembled from the sheer delight you felt at witnessing the surly telepath whine so pathetically from your touch.
“Please,” he begged, “please angel. Let me feel you- I need it- I need you.” Druig could feel his eyes filled with tears from the overwhelming pleasure that would fill him. “I want to touch you, please-”
Druig’s whimpers were brutally cut off as you placed a finger over his lips.
“Shhhh- not yet,” you breathily whispered, “you need to earn your pleasure, my love.” Your pupils dilated seeing him take your finger in his mouth, and used his tongue to suck on it. “I need to know if you understand what it means to love me, and have it in return.”
Before Druig could respond, you lowered yourself further- until he filled you to the brim with only a single thrust. You were so taken back by the sheer size of him that you felt your climax wash over as every part of you trembled from the intense euphoria.
“By Arishem,” you thought, “how is he so big?”
You wanted to make him beg, to drown him in so much pleasure that it would hurt. Whatever pain you inflicted on him now, it was nothing compared to the torture you experienced in having to wait for him to admit his feelings. You lost count on the number of times you pleasured yourself at the thought of the man beneath you. So many times, you wanted to sneak into his bed, and wake him to witness the maddening effect he had on you. But having him inside you was better than anything you could imagine.
Gripping his shoulders, you lifted yourself until only his tip remained-before slamming your hips down to his- repeating this motion until falling into a rhythm that was accompanied by a song of wild moans and gasps. Everything about this man- the aquamarine shine in his eyes, the glowing pallor of his body, the tone and strength in his muscles- screamed the image of perfection to you.
“Druig, Druig,” you could only cry out his name- as if it was the only word you knew, “I love you, I love you, I love- FUCK!” You screamed out at the feel of his hips moving to meet yours, and before you could blink, he shifted your positions so that you would be laying on your back as he caged your body with his frame.
Druig couldn’t take it anymore, it tormented him to not take you without abandon. For so long, he dreamed of having you like this- warm, teasing, and his. You called yourself selfish, so what? Druig knew what it meant to be selfish, to want to possess and devour every part of you until there was nothing left for anyone else to take or see.
You must have blind to not see his desperation for you. How could someone so bright and brilliant not understand that he would gladly let you tear him limb by limb if it meant to be loved by you.
To have you under him like this- writhing in ecstasy, crying from exquisite pain, your soft curves molded against his hard frame- it was as if this was his true purpose. It was not to assist in humanity’s evolution, but to belong to you as you would belong to him. It was to have you like this at every waking moment- filling you with love, and overwhelming you with desire.
As he continued to slam his hips against yours with reckless abandon, he trailed his lips down your throat, sharply nipping your collarbones, until all that he could reach were your heaving breasts that moved in tandem with his thrusts. He was so enraptured by your presence that when you peaked once more on his cock, his rutting only grew more relentless and rougher than what you thought was possible.
Stars, he loved the way you screamed his name. He wanted everyone to know it was him who made you mad with elation. He wanted the whole world to know that you, Kaetlyn- gloriously headstrong, brilliantly beautiful Kaetlyn- the wielder of shadows, and master of the darkness and night, was begging for his cock like a common whore.
“Look at you,” he snarled- jaw clenched so tightly that his teeth threatened to break from the pressure, “what were you saying m’darling? I could have sworn that you were trying to get me to beg- but look at you now.” Your head thrown back as your hair sprayed around you like a beckoning halo as you babbled nonsensically, legs wrapped around his torso to minimize any potential loss of distance, your wickedly sharp nails cutting into his skin to leave vibrant trails on his back as blood leaked from the wounds. “You can’t get enough of me, can you?”
Your only response was whimpers and cries, so Druig decided to be a bit cruel, and slowed down before pulling himself out and stopping completely. The loss of your warmth was complete agony, but the consequence was well-worth the pain at the sight of your immediate reaction.
“DRUIG!” You cried out in pain. You tried to move yourself to feel more of him, but the smug bastard had pinned your torso down- and your body was still recovering from the overstimulation of your previous orgasm. Still maintaining his grip, Druig towered above you in order to gain a better vantage point. Staring down at the aftermath of his onslaught, he almost came right then and there. You were the very likeness of desired perfection- tears had leaked from your eyes and were trailing down your face, your flush travelled down to the tips of your breasts, and there was not a corner of your body that wasn’t covered in marks left by his teeth.
“Please, Druig, please-” you begged him, “don’t stop! I need you!” You felt you were dying from his loss, you felt so empty. It was like you finally felt complete, and when he pulled away it was as if all the air in your lungs were completely snuffed out. You couldn’t bear the pain- it was tearing you apart. You tried to pull him down to get him to kiss- you needed his love; nothing would ever be enough- not when it came from him.
Your soul craved his.
Crystalline blue eyes softened momentarily before steeling once more to grip your hips even tighter, Druig barely lowered himself- just enough to mix his throbbing tip’s precum with your slick. No matter how much he adored you -- however much he wanted to give in to you-- he needed you to admit that you were his first.
“Open your eyes,” his rasp sent chills to run throughout your entire body, “and see what you do to me.” When you looked into his eyes, you were taken back by how dark they had become- that beautiful pale hue had minimized into a thin ring from how dilated his pupils had become. It wasn’t just lust that swam in his gaze, but also mania and lunacy. His piercing gaze, along with his heaving breaths created such a stark contrast to the calm and collected mask he showcased to everyone- humans and Eternals alike. Druig looked less like the usual apathetic god everyone thought him to be, and more like a raging terrifying beast that fed on savagery and only cared to fulfill his most primal urges.
You have never seen such a magnificent and enthralling sight before, and you prayed to the stars above that this time would not be the last.
Druig could hear your thoughts, and he didn’t care how insane he looked. He wanted you to see all that you did to him- how you engrained yourself into his very soul and being. You called yourself infatuated, but he was obsessed. And as aware he was of his own delusion; he didn’t ever plan to stop.
Fuck Arishem- fuck anyone and everyone who would dare keep you from him. He didn’t care the lengths he would have to go to keep you by his side. Let them paint him the villain- it was all worth it if it meant having your love.
“Tell me.” He pleaded you, “please, my angel- tell me your mine. Let me in, I want all of you and only you.” His eyes held so much love and trust that it took your breath away, and it made your heart swell with so much adoration for the man that caged you between his arms. There was only one thing to say, the only thing that mattered that would seal a vow between you both for the rest of eternity.
Summoning all your courage, leaving behind all your bravado, letting all your insecurities to be put on display, you whispered, “Yes.”
Immediately after you condemned your soul to his, Druig speared himself into you to the hilt with a single thrust, and pressed his lips to yours to drink in every one of your throes of passion. Setting off at a relentless pace, it was not long until another brutal climax sheared through your body. With each push, Druig’s cock hit that spot inside you – resulting in stars to bloom around you as your mind was clouded in lust. With each thrust of his length, tremendous stimulation tearing through your walls. The sound of skin-on-skin surrounded the area around you, creating a forcefield of bliss that could not be intruded by anyone but the two immortal beings engaged in their act of fervor. The only other sounds that could be heard were the gentle whispers of the night breeze, along the soft chirpings of the crickets.
Feeling his cock throbbing, Druig knew that he was reaching his limit. However, he refused to finish without you going over the edge with him. Setting an even more ruthless pace, he could feel the trembles that ran throughout your body as he fights to hold control over himself, and not releasing himself deep inside you. Only being able to get a few more thrusts in, Druig viciously cursed as he let out a snarled cry – the loudest you have ever heard from him. With one final push, he came deep inside your cunt, painting your walls with his cum as you felt his warmth flooding inside you. The sensation of the thick ropes of cum engulfing your cunt triggered your final climax, and you felt the evidence of your indescribable pleasure that washed over you mixed with his thick cum that overflowed within you to the point where it leaked out of your core.
Refusing to part, the both of you let yourselves bask in the bliss-filled bubble that was the aftermath of your lovemaking. But as happy as you were, dread filled your mind as you realized what you had done. You knew how the others saw you. How Kingo and Sprite liked to poke fun at your darkness, how Ikaris would voice his doubts of your ability to protect with ill-hidden snarks to Ajak, even the humans would whisper in fear at the sight of you soaked in deviants’ blood in the aftermath of your many onslaughts. It was bad enough that they looked down on Sephia for how she so faithfully remained at your side, you couldn’t let the man you loved be dragged down as well – it would have been too much.
No matter how Druig liked to present himself as cool and indifferent to human conflict – you knew that it was far from true. You’ve watched him for centuries, and there was no one else on the world whose soul was as gentle and carried more love for humanity than even Ajak and Sersi. You couldn’t let your own selfish desires bring his ruin, you refused to let that happen.
“This was a mistake,” you forced yourself to say as you faced away from him to locate your attire, you couldn’t bear it if he saw how much it killed you to say it, but it needs to be done, “I never should have let it go this far.” You crawled on your knees to reach your tunic, “Let’s just forget this ever hap-”
A vicious growl cut you off as Druig’s hands grabbed your wrist to the point where you were sure bruises would show tomorrow. “Don’t,” he snarled, “even try to insult me by suggesting to pretend that this never happened- that we never happened.” Pulling you back to cage you in his arms, Druig buried his face into the crook of your neck- as if imprinting the scent of your skin to his memory in fear that you would disappear before his very eyes.
Leaning forward to whisper in your ear. “How could you ever think for a second that I could possibly go on with my life after finally having you? Tell me angel, how do you expect a man to simply live on weeds after finally partaking a drop of ambrosia?”
Your heart melted at his words, but you could not let yourself be swayed. “Druig,” you started, “you don’t understand the cost of being with me. You deserve someone who is kind and warm and-”
Druig forced you to look into his eyes. “Stop. Don’t you dare let the words of those idiots make you see yourself as less than the perfection you are. Do you know what I see when I look at you?” His eyes softened for what he was about to ask next. “Let me show you, my love.”
As his pale blue irises glowed into a golden hue, making him transform into a sight akin to godliness, you opened your mind to his, and what you saw shook you to your core. You saw scenes of yourself travelling through your shadows, taking down dozens of deviants with only a few arrows from your quiver, as well as the aftermath of you standing alone in a field of mangled corpses dyed with black tarlike blood. You saw yourself as the humans did, embodied darkness that killed with cold precision and controlled beings with their own shadows.
But soon you saw moments that you had forgotten, moments that you believed were private. You saw yourself sneaking away at night in the cover of darkness to watch ghosts roaming aimlessly, along with the pity in your eyes from hearing their sorrows. You saw yourself in your room at the Domo, surrounded by scrolls from topics ranging from rare spells to hand-drawn diagrams of the human body. You witnessed the smile spread across your face when you helped a spirit finally reach their peace to the other world. You saw the time Ajak approached you to ask for your assistance in delivering the children from expectant mothers in the village. You saw yourself come outside the tent to hand over the child of your first delivery to the father, who thanked you with tears in his eyes after being informed that both the child and mother safe and healthy. You watched yourself stare in shock of his praise before seeing the child reach for your finger, and let yourself feel the disbelief that flooded you at the sight of pure innocence staring back at you.
“You call yourself selfish and unkind,” Druig’s voice brought you back to reality- his eyes returned to that familiar blue, “but that couldn’t be more untrue.” He softly pressed his forehead to yours as he continued. “Would a selfish person spend night after night gathering impossible texts to study for an unnamed spirit to finally reach peace? Would someone unkind research every possibility in order to ensure that a mother could hold her child? How could you let someone as pathetic as Ikaris and Sprite taint your own views of yourself so much? Kaetlyn, I was a coward for waiting for so long to tell you my feelings, I was selfish in thinking of my own pride and dignity was more important than your strife. But still you loved me, and I could not be more grateful for your existence for that.”
Tears ran down your cheeks as you felt all your walls crashing down, how could someone so frustratingly wonderful exist? If this was all a dream, you never wanted to wake up. But just to be sure, you took a stone that just fit into the palm of your hand and transmuted it into a silver dagger. Holding it just above his heart, you warned him one final time.
“Druig, no matter what sweet words you whisper, I am selfish. I could kill you now without hesitation. I could cut you and cause you so much pain that you would beg for death. Do you still wish to remain by my side?”
Staring back at you with only ardent love and unfiltered adoration, Druig grasped your hand and dragged the blade’s tip across his chest. Thin trails of dark red life leaked from the wounds, but there was no indication of pain. “If loving you is pain,” he whispered as he wiped the blood from his wound with his finger, only to smear it across your lips, “then let me bleed.” He repeated those same words a year later, when he married you in a private ceremony after the two of you sneaked away from the village’s harvest banquet.

Golden eyed phantom ch 1
Pairing Druig x reader
Rating explicit 18+ only minors ageless blank and non unadapted blogs will be blocked.
Plot: phantom of the opera au
Warnings: Some smut (im still learning how so go easy on me) fingering, dream sex, mind control but not dark)
The opera de popular was one of the crown jewels of paris, a place where dreams and nightmares can become a reality. It’s also where young (y/n) (l/n) found themselves living after the untimely death of their only living relative, their father. With no living family and no prospective husband (y/n) would have been homeless if not for Madame Ajak, the kindly dance instructor of the opera and a dear friend to the girls late father.
Madame Ajak became the mother you never knew, kind, caring, always able to cure any physical ailment that seemed to bother her or anyone else, with Madame came Sersi. She was another girl that had grown up in the opera. Madame Ajak was unable to have children of her own so she adopted Sersi when she was just a baby. The young woman was only a few years older then (y/n) and the two became fast friends. Sersi showed you the ins and outs of the opera house, really the ins and outs of Paris. Many times she would take you out and about to learn about your new home and everything in it including the rest of the people that would make up your new family. The first members you met came in the form of Gilgamesh and Thena.
Gilgamesh was the chief of security for the opera house. He was a giant boulder of a man well built and very intimidating at first glance, that is until he smiles at you and turns into the giant teddy bear he is. Always making sure all of us are safe and sneaking in baked goods every now and then. You wouldn’t know just from looking at him but he was an amazing baker, especially his pies they were to die for. With Gilgamesh came his partner Thena, she was gorgeous a goddess without even trying. She was the stunt, fighting and weapons expert for the opera and many other production houses in Paris. Many people thought she was a model but the mere thought made her grimace, “Why would I want to be a model and have to care what everyone thought of me?” Even though she had a tough exterior she was also very kind in her ways. Thena was determined for all of us younger girls at the opera to be able to protect ourselves, teaching everyone basic self defense and warning signs and so on and so forth. She was truly a ferocious mama bear if she wanted to be, to you she just became a protective aunt.
Next up was, without a doubt, your favorite trio, Phastos,Sprite and Makkari. All three worked backstage, keeping the opera house running as fabulously as it does. Phastos was the head engineer/ prop master. If something needed to be built he was the guy, his creations awe inspiring, some looking as though they had come straight out of the future, but he was still humble enough to answer any questions you or anyone had about the devices. Alongside Phastos worked sprite. She was young that was undeniable but boy was she talented, A true artist she was the head set designer and painter. Everything she created was so stunning you couldn’t even tell it wasn’t real. While Phastos was somewhat humble, Sprite was spunky, quick witted and sharp tongue when wronged. She halted being looked down on because of how young she looked and would lay into anyone who belittled her.
Makkari was a completely different story, even though she was deaf that did not stop her. Always with a kind smile on her face she ran around helping pull everything together. She was the resident lighting and stage hand always in the right place at the right time, almost like there were seven of her. When she wasn’t working she would be in the shopping district, dragging (y/n) with her to oogle all the shiny and sparkly Knick knacks, all the beautifully colored fabrics and imports coming in. In fact that's how Kingo was introduced.
Kingo was a fashionista, a real eye for how to make everyone look their best with one look.he was the opera's resident costume designer / understudy. Kingo dreamed of being on stage; he knew all the words, all the songs, everything, but sadly his time in the spotlight had not yet come. Everyone always reassured him his time would come, in fact you would always run lines with him whenever he was feeling down, he was over the top dramatic for sure but so entertaining. Probably the only thing more entertaining was picking on him with sprite and makkari. His reaction to the twos joke always brought a smile to your face, and was almost a bonding experience with the other girl.
During the day there was enough to distract you from your sullen thoughts. In particular the formation of a new found family, always there to relieve you of your boredom and loneliness but at night it was a different story. About a month after you had arrived you sat in the opera's small chapel, lighting a candle for your fathers soul. You guess your gentle weeping is what brought forth the angel's song, but all you really remember is the gentle glowing gold of the candles or at least you think it was the candles but you didn't really care as the feelings of calm wash over you with the soft timber of the angel's voice. At night or really whenever you were alone the angel would speak to you. Teach you the ways of the opera house and the music that went along with it. He was a mystic presence, always there but never in reach.
He invaded your whole life, when not learning from him at night your dreams started turning to him.
It would start with his voice, hearing it in your head as you drifted to sleep, the scene would change to a candle lit backdrop, soft smells of vanilla fill the air, a dreamy feeling wanders around you, then you would feel hands wrap around you. They were strong, long fingers as they wandered up and down your frame. You dare not turn around not wanting the feelings he provokes from you to end too quickly.
You watch as those glorious hands gently slide up your leg taking your thin night shift with them until they reach your core. A branding iron of heat in eloping you as he probes you. Fingers lightly playing with your clit as his lips caressed your ear, words ringing through your very soul it felt
“My beautiful beautiful muse, I've waited so long for you. I’ll never forget the day I first heard your voice, it was like hearing a blessing.”
You couldn’t even articulate words to reply to him shivering as hard as you were from merrily his touch.
“I can not wait for the day you truly belong to me. Mind. Body. And soul”
You feel his fingers stroking in tune to his words. Marking his point deep within your walls, but before you are able to climb to the peak a loud ringing sounds from beside you
“Ignore it”
You try of course but the ringing doesn’t stop. With each ring the scene around you shakes, deteriorating back into the blackness that waits behind your rapidly opening eyes. You sit up in shock, eyes trying to adjust to your bedroom as your alarm rings beside you. Your body still shivering from the after effects of the dream you just had.
Five years had passed, under your teachers guidance your gift bloomed but the only people you would even attempt to try to sing for would be your new family, and that was only light humming. The dreams became normal as well. Usually they happened after working with your mysterious and gracious master. You never learned anything more about him. All you knew was his voice but the one in your dreams seemed to evolve.
First was his hands and then his arms then his legs, his back, even a head of dark brown hair. But never his face. It was starting to vex you honestly, every time waking up from the pure euphoria of those dreams too have reality slap you in the face of how lonely you felt. Not that your new family did not appease your heart, in fact being with them was as natural as breathing. To be honest you couldn't describe what was wrong with you, all you could summarize it as was that it felt like part of you was missing.
A week after your 24th birthday the new owners of the opera appeared and with them came someone familiar.
“Listen up everyone!” Mr Richard's the old owner calls to everyone, all of us currently gathered on the main stag rehearsing the latest show
“I would like to introduce the new owners of the opera Monsieur Nelson and Monsieur Murdock.”
Everyone claps all clambering around to get the best views of the two young owners. You had to admit neither were horrible looking, you thought it was interesting for a blind person to want to buy an opera but it made sense to, even if he couldn’t see the performances, listening to them was the next best thing.
‘Thank you all, thank you we are both very happy to start our adventures in the arts.” Mr Nelson started “We would also like to introduce our generous backer Count Ikaris de solar.” Finished Mr Murdock to when a handsome brunette stepped onto stage to everyone’s approval and applause.
“Ikaris?” You gasped out as everyone continued to clap and awe over the count
“Do you know him (y/n)?” Sersi asks confusingly
“Yes, we knew each other as children. We were somewhat close before his family moved away, I can’t believe that's truly him.”
Before you get another word in, a loud clearing of the throat silences everyone. Mademoiselle Ayesha and her pompous son Adam, step through the crowd in their fine costumes. The madame was the current lead soprano for the opera even though you thought she couldn't sing for shit. Her voice was almost as grating as her attitude towards everyone. Sprite assumed the only reason she was given any parts was because of her stupidly wealthy family and late husband. But you choose not to comment on that. The woman stands there covered in gold and signals to the maestro to start at the top of her aria once more
Oh no she's starting again Sersi says from beside you already getting ready to cover her ears. In fact you can even see the housekeeping staff in the audience stuffing Cotton in their ears. The woman doesn’t get but a few lines in the aria her screeching tone ringing through the stage before the rolled up backdrop above her comes crashing down. The light but sturdy fabric lands on top of the soprano pinning her belly flopped to the stage floor to the shocks and screams of everyone around.
They rush to help the woman up but the damage to her pride is too great. She starts screeching about all the previous accidents directed at her, of all the misfortune and indignity that has befallen her and how she will not stand for it any longer. Mr Murdock simply stands there letting the scene unfold as Mr Nelson loses his mind along the diva as she. Stomps her heel gathering all her things, her son and their people and promptly leaving
The new owners were in a tissy (mostly foggy) wondering how they are supposed to open tomorrow with no star. How this whole adventure is now wasted. Madame Ajak promptly interrupts, saving Mr Nelson from a full melt down, handing the duo a dark black envelope with a giant red wax seal on it.
“Where did that come from?” You ask Sersi
“That confirms it then, It must was the phantom”
“The phantom?”
“Have you honestly not heard the others talk about this?
“No?”
She just shakes her head at you before filling you in on the details
“He's a mysterious person, some say he’s a ghost, others a demon but no one knows for sure. They say he's been here forever always making his presence known. In fact the previous owner used to pay him a monthly wage just to appease him, that and that box number 5 be kept empty for him whenever he wishes. Everything was going well but this past couple years he has gotten a little more devious.
“Why?”
No one really knows, and everyone’s afraid to ask or look around afraid they’ll never be seen again.
Before you can ask sersi more your name is being called.
“(Y/n)(l/n) can do it.”
What?” You had missed the conversation between the two new owners and Madame Ajak
One of your dances can replace the star diva from the past 5 years.? Your sure about that?
“Foggy why don't we give the girl a chance”
“Matt this is doing nothing for. My nerves
You stand there like a deer in headlight hoping you could somehow slip to the back and out of sight but Sersi sees you growing anxiety and gently but firmly directs you towards Ajak.
Madame gently took you from her daughter and lead you to the center of the stage
“Madame what,,,,but,, I,,,”
“It will be alright dear. I've heard you practice these last couple of years when you sneak off at night, and i know your teacher has taught ypu well”
“My teacher?”
Ajak just gives you a knowing look before she turns towards the maestro and nods at him leaving you standing there as everyone watches.
You hear quiet cheer from stage left where your little opera family all stand giving you thumbs up and right smiles, trying to ease your nerves, though it doesn’t really help, it's not till you look up towards the grand chandler that that gentle calming glow envelops your senses once more.
“From the top of the aria mademoiselle”
The band picks up and the music begins to play
To be honest you don't remember much after that. It was a whirlwind of activity. Being swept off stage and quickly fitted into costumes, stage managers telling you where you need to stand, color spotting you with lights all the fixing basically to make it seem like you were always meant to be in the role.
You didn't know that while you sang your heart out on stage a certain young count had finally taken notice of you
“(Y/n)?”
“That’s the girl that used to follow you around?” Count Arishem Ikarus’s father ask begrudgingly
“Yes father that's the daughter of that famous violinist tha lived near our old summer home.”
“Well, well we may have found ourselves a diamond in the rough after all. The elder count scrutinizes the crowd all gawking at the peasant, like she's a princess. All he sees is an opportunity to boost his family further, the gears of his plan already forming in his mind.
Phantoms pov
There she is at last! Right where she belongs, my beautiful beautiful muse.

The Great War
Relationship: Druig x Eternal!Reader Warnings: Angst, canon divergence Summary: Druig had to watch you piece yourself back together after the Eternals split — and fears of facing tragedy once again rise when the Eternals end up at his doorstep. He’s determined to put you first this time, but nothing is ever that cut and dry, and you prove that. A/N: sooooooo I forgot about this one shot... Um, I believe I wrote it almost a year ago and it just sat on my computer so after some re-reading and editing, I think it’s okay to share! I hope you enjoy.
Masterlist
He watched you from a far as you gave the children a tour of the garden. He knew it was your pride and joy and your face did nothing to hide the light that shined within you when one of the kids asked a question.
You could command the crops however you pleased, and your brain was packed with facts about every single thing that grew. You could go on and on for hours—Druig could personally vouch for that. Recently, you’ve been experimenting with hybrid crops, trying to find a new species to perfect, and you kept Druig very much in the loop about your progress every night before bed.
But he didn’t mind in the slightest. He’d listen to you talk about anything so long as that look of blissful happiness was plastered on your face.
Druig wandered a little closer to the garden, not close enough to draw attention, just enough to eavesdrop on your tour. He tried to look busy like he was inspecting a row of corn, but really you had his attention. Then again, he couldn’t think of many times when you didn’t crowd his mind.
"…and here we have some cabbage," you explained. The kids following you oohed delightfully.
Ah, yes. The cabbage. Druig chuckled to himself. A vegetable that has little business growing out here, let alone this time of year. But that was just the beauty of your powers. You could make pretty much anything sprout in nearly any environment.
It had taken some convincing for you to really use your powers. You had been so concerned with if growing certain things and aiding the villagers would go against the mission. But Druig had kindly reminded you that you two were away from it all. You were helping this civilization thrive—any means necessary.
Hence, cabbage growing in the summer heat.
Druig watched as you moved the young tour group to a vacant section of the garden.
"Here is where I hope we can start growing carrots soon," you said, motioning towards the freshly plowed land.
"Carrots?" One of the children said, her voice shakily repeating the word. "What are carrots?"
Druig smirked at the flood-gate the child had unknowingly opened. You wasted no time dishing out your detailed lecture on carrots.
You were just getting into a spiel about beta-carotene when a shiver went up Druig’s spine. Something was off, and he noticed it immediately. The village had been disturbed, penetrated by an unknown. He took a quick glance back at you to make sure you were alright. When Druig saw you were still drawing on about carrots, he let out a sigh of relief and left the garden in search of what had caused such a powerful imbalance on his land.
But his hunt hadn’t been a hunt at all. The problem made itself known immediately.
They were bold, he had to give them that.
***
The young student gave you one last hug before she ran back to her parents. You had made her home your last stop as you went about dropping the students off after the tour. She was a talkative one full of complex but beautiful questions and you absolutely adored that. You wanted them to be curious, to ask as many questions as they could think of. You’d answer them all as you had for their parents when they were young. And their grandparents. And so on.
You pulled your shawl tighter around you as you made your way through the village, looking for Druig. He probably thought you hadn’t noticed him observing your tour but you must certainly had. He was hard to miss and after all these years still managed to drive you a bit wild, even when standing there doing nothing.
You scanned the various groups of villagers but couldn’t seem to find your lover among them. You frowned and stopped at a congregating group of women. They were weaving baskets.
"Has Druig been around?" You asked in their native tongue. The women looked surprised at your question.
"He’s at the Center talking to our visitor," one woman kindly explained before turning back to her work.
You frowned. Visitors? What visitors? You didn’t see casual visitors this deep inland.
You thanked the women for their time and made your way to the Center. It was a nice communal space that held a variety of events, from meetings to religious services. It wasn’t too uncommon for Druig to be held up in there during the day, but the mention of visitors drew a lot of confusion for you. Why would he invite someone in?
Druig was very cautious about outside forces, to the point you got slightly annoyed about it. You’d only been out of the village a handful of times and were always met with Druig’s intense resistance. He was incredibly protective of you, sometimes bordering the edge of controlling—but you understood why. He loved you deeply and had promised to never let anything—or anyone—hurt you again. So far, he had kept his promise. But a sense of unusual nervousness filled you as you approached the Center.
You really didn’t know what you expected to find when you pulled open the door to the Center. Part of you thought you’d find Druig working on something. Another part of you thought he’d be having a meeting with these mystery visitors.
What you hadn’t prepared for was to come face-to-face with some old…pals.
The group of Eternals turned to face you the second you opened the door. Like you, it didn’t take them long to realize who they were coming in contact with. They bore mixed expressions, surprise and relief being the most evident. Well, except for Druig. He sulked off to the side, looking displeased when his eyes landed on you, but the others paid little attention to him.
Once the shock wore off, they mostly all greeted you joyously. You couldn’t help the smile that crept its way onto your face as you soaked in this unexpected but welcomed reunion.
You didn’t think you’d ever see any of them again after the fateful night. The Split had been especially excruciating for you. The life and people you’d known, the routine and security, all vanished. You were a bit lost for a while until Druig had offered you a hand.
However, that malice and fear weren’t at the forefront of your mind right now. All you could focus on was your fellow Eternals coming together again, sharing a moment under one roof. It truly had been so, so long.
"What are you all doing here?" You asked after giving a share of hugs and happy exclamations.
Sersi, naturally, was the quickest to step up to the plate to answer your question. The light in her eyes faltered as she opened her mouth to speak, but Druig didn’t waste a second before cutting her off.
"Nothing," Druig spat. He stepped in front of you, nearly blocking your view of the others. Your brows furrowed at his commanding tone, but he didn’t give you time to retaliate. "We had some matter to discuss briefly, nothing special. They were just on their way out, actually. Why don’t you help the villagers prepare for dinner, dear."
"Dear?" It was Ikaris who spoke up now, unable to hide his surprise at the pet name that rolled off Druig’s lips naturally. But while it was Ikaris who said something, a look of surprise flashed on everyone’s face.
Druig ignored him, his focus solely on you. "Please, love."
You know you should’ve listened to your lover and usually, you do, but, in the moment, you couldn’t. You wanted to know what was going on, even though you found comfort in the village. You knew this wasn’t nothing. Stuff like this didn’t happen. You knew these fellow beings too well. The reunion happening here wasn’t for shits and giggles. And they certainly weren’t here to just check up on you and Druig. No one did that.
"Druig, come on…" Sersi pleaded.
Druig shook his head. "She’s been through enough thanks to all of you, thanks to all of us. The last thing she needs is to be put in serious danger."
Ikaris scoffed. "How about you let her speak for herself."
Druig shot the other man a glare you hadn’t seen in centuries. In fact, you hadn’t seen Druig this upset since the day you two had reunited.
"I haven’t seen you all in ages," you said, trying to keep your voice light. "I certainly am curious to know what brings you out here." You gave Druig an apologetic look but he didn’t refute. His features even seemed to get softer at your patient words.
Before anyone else could interject, Sersi gave you a rundown of it all. From the Deviants, to the true purpose of the mission, to the regretful news of Ajak. The Eternal didn’t miss a beat relaying a story she already seemed tired of sharing.
You soaked in every word, completely stunned and alarmed by the news she had to share. When she explained they needed your and Druig’s help, you tensed. You could now understand why your lover had been so reluctant.
Unfortunately, Druig was also right in the fact that you didn’t need this, didn’t want this disturbance. You had created something beautiful and familiar here and your immediate desire was to go down with this ship.
So much was at stake on both fronts, and the surprise of it all wasn’t something you wanted to wrap your head around right now. Losing this? The land? The people? Everyone? Your hands shook as you spoke.
"I…I am sorry, Sersi, but I don’t see how I can be of any help," you said as gently as you could manage. "I think I may be better off here."
"Please, we need all—,"
"What have you done to her?" Ikaris asked Druig, cutting off Sersi and making everyone in the room jump. "What are you controlling her or something?"
Druig let out a wicked laugh. "Does she look like she’s being controlled, Ikaris? Frankly, I am insulted you would even think I’d treat her that way."
"Because you’re so above controlling others."
Druig marched towards Ikaris, leaving little room between them. His voice was bitter and hot as he spoke. "I am when it comes to the one I love. How dare you accuse me of that." Druig paused as he and Ikaris stared at one another as if challenging each other to say another word. When Ikaris didn’t reply, Druig took half a step back and turned to the group. "I think you all have overstayed your welcome, don’t you agree?" He looked around expectantly, but no one moved.
Cautiously, you broke the heavy silence. "This has truly been a lot for one afternoon. Maybe we should take some time to think. We can regroup later."
After an unsettling moment of everyone watching Druig like he was a ticking bomb, he agreed with your proposal. The others were quick to follow suit and, not surprisingly, looked relieved to have a moment out of the stuffy Center.
You happily showed the group where you gathered for meals, hoping they’d at least want a snack after trekking all the way out here. You enjoyed your dinner among the people and your friends and tried your best to refrain from bragging about the vegetables in the stew that came from your garden. You failed at that, but everyone seemed impressed with your crops. Druig held your hand through the entire meal, successfully but bitterly avoiding the questioning looks of the other Eternals. It had not been missed by you that you two were yet to explain your dynamic and how it came to be. Sure, a little flirting had occurred prior to The Split, but declarations of love must’ve been a confusing step.
But it was good. The moment was good and the evening was ultimately enjoyable. The villagers loved conversing with the guests. They were so welcoming and curious. The food was lovely. The company was lovely. The atmosphere was lovely. Was this all truly in jeopardy? How could it come to this? You didn’t like having your heart heavy with this.
Couple of hours later, after you finished assisting with the cleanup, you found yourself sitting under a tree, away from the bustling village, snacking on some berries. You weren’t alone for long, though, as you saw Sersi make her way through the dense trees.
"How are you doing?" She asked as she took a seat next to you on the ground.
"Okay," you said noncommittally. You held out your hand, presenting a few berries. "Would you taste these? I can’t decide if they need to be sweeter."
Sersi chuckled. "Is this a ploy to poison me?"
You shivered. "I haven’t dealt in that in centuries."
One area of your powers you had always held back on was the way that, while you could grow the most delicious crops, you could also grow the most deadly. But there was no need to unleash that anymore. It did little to help the village.
"Alright," Sersi said with a shrug and took the berries. "But if they find my body out here, they’ll probably look at you first."
You nodded. "That’s fair."
Sersi tossed the berries in her mouth. She hmm’d. "So," she began, "you and Druig?"
"Yes," you replied to her question that wasn’t a question. Part of you hoped that would be that but Sersi’s unwavering stare made it clear she wasn’t walking away without the whole story. This came as no surprise.
You took a deep breath and began. "After Ajak sent us off I was…lost. So very lost. Everyone else just made their decisions and went on. I—I didn’t know where to go, where to begin. I had known one way, one goal, for as long as I could remember and now everything was upside down. Everyone went their own way. I felt left behind." You paused to take a deep breath. You hadn’t spoken of such things with anyone but Druig, but, then again, no one had been around to hear it. To ask.
"It took a couple of years, but I eventually came upon Druig," you continued. "He admitted he had tried looking for me but I was the only one off his radar. He then apologized for storming away. I shared my feelings on the situation—on The Split—and the villagers welcomed me. I’ve rarely left since. Over time, our usual flirting and banter grew. He’s just… He’s just it for me. He’s so kind and caring. He’s taken care of me in so many ways and I truly couldn’t ask for a better partner. Up until today, I believed in fate. But maybe this was all just part of the plan. I could do without the pain and feeling…deserted but, in the end, this love has been good to me."
Sersi was silent as you spoke. She grew still beside you. Your spite had mostly subsided, but you still felt it was important to share, especially if dooms day was upon you. And while you had, for the most part, moved on and adapted, you knew Druig still held a bit of a grudge. Not to mention the anger he felt towards himself for leaving you, but over the years, you tried your best to ease his shame.
"Well, I—I didn’t— We, we didn’t…" You watched Sersi scramble to find the right words but her lack of reasoning wasn’t a bad thing. There was nothing to say.
"It’s okay," you assured her. "I’ve moved on. I’ve even made peace with all of it, I think." You looked back down at your basket of berries. "But there is someone who hasn’t quite come around to the idea of forgive and forget."
Sersi nodded. "Druig never quite seemed like the one to entertain such ideas."
"Please excuse his animosity towards the situation." You paused. "About earlier…"
"We do need you, truly," Sersi said. "I understand it’s frightening and you’re welcome to despise us but think about this place." She looked up at the trees and moonlight surrounding you two. "Everything’s so wonderful. The people, the place, the home you two have built. Don’t you at least want a shot to fight for it?"
You looked at the landscape around you. At the trees. The berries. The homes off in the distance. You hear the chatter of the villagers. The blow of the wind. The hum of the nighttime creatures. You closed your eyes, recounting the dinner, how nice it had felt to have so many of your friends together again. You wanted that all over again. You wanted this home you built.
"I think I was overwhelmed by all this…news," you explained. "And at first, I didn’t want anything to do with…anything. If the world was ending, I wanted to be here, in my home, but now… I don’t believe I can sit idly and let this place, these people, vanish." You opened your eyes. "More importantly, I can’t let my friends, my family, down."
Sersi took a moment and pattered your hand. "I’m relieved to hear that. You’re important, you’re valued. We can’t do it without you."
You shared a shy smile. "Well, I’m glad you’re happy about my decision. Lord knows how Druig is going to react."
"He’s shocked," a voice said from among the forest. You and Sersi whipped your heads around to find Druig walking out from behind a group of trees.
"I’ve never known you to eavesdrop so much, honey," you said, trying to keep the situation casual, but you were practically shaking.
Druig approached you two slowly. "Forgive me, my lady. I had only come to suggest we retire for the night. I certainly hadn’t expected to find you…conspiring," He shot a look at Sersi, who held her head high.
You sighed. "Druig, please…"
Sersi turned back to you. "I think you two should talk."
You hesitated but eventually agreed. Sersi avoided Druigs heated gaze as she left, heading back to the village. Druig took Sersi’s former spot next to you under the tree.
"You truly want to do this?" Druig asked softly, a stark contrast from his previous demeanor. "After everything, you want to help? You think we have a chance?"
"We have to try," you said. "For this. For us."
Druig took your hands in his. You turned to face him finding him very close. Your foreheads were practically touching. He stared into your eyes like you were all that existed and, for a second, it felt like that.
"I can’t bare to see you hurt again, love," he said. "And if we do this, there’s no telling what will happen after. There’s not even a guarantee we’ll make it out alive—,"
"That’s why we try," you pleaded. "And I’m aware this reunion may mean nothing. We’ll all probably go our separate ways again and that’s fine. I have a place to go back to. I have a routine and a garden and goals… But above all else, I have you. And with all that, I think I’ll be okay."
Druig searched your expression like he was expecting you to change your mind, but when nothing else left your lips, he nodded in defeat.
"If this is what you wish to do, I’ll follow you." He brought one of his hands up to caress your cheek. "I’m sorry for my behavior earlier. It was uncalled for and you always have the right to make your own decisions, do you understand that?"
"I know that, Druig. You were just being your protective self."
"That’s obvious?" He said with a humorless laugh. "I just want to see you happy, love."
"I am happy, Druig," you said, your eyes starting to well with tears—the good kind. "Happier than you’ll ever know."

15. trying to find those little souvenirs with their names on it- Druig 😂
A/N - STELLA! You made me work with this one, Thanks for requesting besite!
Eos and Dolos
Summary - You and Druig take a walk down memory lane
Warnings -Just some fluff and banter!
“Why are we in here again?”
“Because we need to find something for Sersi’s career promotion, and this store in particular has the kind of wine she likes,”
“You mean the wine that was around back in Athens?”
“Exactly!”
You hummed, looking down the aisle at some of the wines that were on display. Druig was a bit ahead of you, his hands in his jacket pockets while his eyes were scanning the wine labels. This store in itself was a staple for the area, one of the eldest around and has dated back almost 300 years with some ancient memorabilia and souvenirs. All of the trinkets and paper weights that were on display ranged from a few dollars to a thousands of dollars give or take. But Druig read online that the wine he wanted was in this place, which was coincidently a tourist city that used to be thriving thousands of years ago.
You all used to be here once in Greece, long ago when Humans were still getting used to their place on Earth. Back when they were enlightened with Gods and Goddesses, to how the world was formed and the sense of magic. Of course it was the time when you were all seen as Gods amongst the humans, being paraded around with every victory and success.
You loved being in this once bustling city that was thriving and growing by the year, yet now it was simply existing for tourists and the ancient tales that were carved in history. This city was also the place where you and Druig confessed your feelings for one another, so it had a special place in her heart.
“Woah, look at this!” You walked over a bit to see what Druig was looking at, a small display case that had some knick knacks from the old ancient Gods. You looked with a hint of amusement, seeing playing cards, mini statues that were paper weights, Roman Candles, and plenty of other little tokens to buy. Some of the Gods that you saw were instantly remembered: Aphrodite, Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Artemis.
“Athena,” You said as you took the stature of the Goddess of wisdom in your hand, grinning as you were looking the mini piece over, “Thena never liked that they added the ‘A’ to it,”
“Eh, It still suited her, and they made her less threatening than who she really was. Good then we knew then, eh?” Druig asked as he took the statue from your fingers and pecked you on the lips before he looked over the mini figurine himself with his icy blue eyes. He then looked over to see a playing card, his eyes going wide as he picked it up and showed it to you.
“You’re on a playing card?” He asked, you looking and seeing what seemed to be picture of you, or what should be an exact picture of you, on a paying card with the Greek name that was given to you. Of course it was not exact, but it still felt a bit embarrassing that your resemblance was there on a simply card for tourist to buy. You were about to snatch it out of his hand to place it back on the display when Druig pulled it out of your reach with a chuckle on his lips.
“Druig! Put it back!” You hissed in embarrassment as he cocked his head in amusement at you.
“What? You don’t want to see yourself as ‘Eos, Goddess of the Dawn’?” He asked in a snicker as he teased you a few more times while you tried to get the card away from him, “I must say, you look appealing on this card. Maybe I should buy it!”
“No!” You huffed, finally getting the card out of his fingers to shove it back on the display quickly before people would notice your abrupt movements. Druig wrapped his arms around you from behind and snuck a few kisses and your cheek.
“You’re far more beautiful than any artist that could ever draw you,” He hummed against your neck as he pressed one more kiss, “I am a lucky man to be married to the Goddess of Dawn,”
“As am I, being married to the personification of trickery,” You said to him as you pointed to a small mug that had a small silhouette of what was clearly an image of an old coin with Druig’s side silhouette. You held it to Druig’s face, seeing his smile fall and a look of unamusement on his face. If there was one thing that Druig hated, it was being in the limelight and being exposed for the humans. Such a contrast to Kingo who would flaunt his handsomeness for all to see. Druig hated it, he would rather be in the shadows and work as a ghost.
But of course, he could never escape the humans and their love for Gods.
“ ‘All hail Dolos’.” You said in a mocked triumphant tone as Druig rolled his eyes, “ ‘The Spirit of Trickery!’ Had a nice ring to it, didn’t it?”
“So embarrassing,” he hummed as he peeled away from you and you giggled, still holding the mug as he was looking for wine again and leaving you behind, clearly embarrassed as the tip of his ears were red.
“What’s embarrassing about it? You were seen as the trickster who knew how to make the humans do your bidding, right?” You asked, clearly pulling at his leg as he kept walking down the aisle.
“Not listenin’ to ya,” he replied over his shoulder.
“I do recall that one time when you tricked the cluster of men to strip down naked and—“ You went on, though you were instantly silenced by Druig whirled around within a second to place his hand over your mouth. His face was half amused and half mad, though you knew he would never be fully mad a you ever in your time together. The face he was given you was almost teetering on unamused but not fully angered.
You loved this kind of banter that you two had in your relationship, never intense and heavy and yet never bare. Druig loved making you laugh and smile, even in the dire times and low moments. Especially in the times of doubt and fighting, you two tried to make it as light as possible. This was just the same, no scuffle big enough to be alarming and yet small enough to glaze over. A simple balance, and that’s what made it work for the last several centuries for your two.
Eos and Dolos, the ying and yang that made it work.
Before he could say anything, you licked his hand and he huffed, yanking his hand away as your giggled and gestured to the mug, “I’m buying this,”
He eyed you suspiciously, seeing that you were clearly in good spirits as he grinned, “Fine, then I’m buyin’ your playin’ card,”
It was your turn to eye him with a raised eyebrow, seeing his signature cocky grin back at you, “Let’s go see if we can any of the others in here, as well as Sersi’s wine!”
Druig laughed and then nodded his head, “You’re on.”

Druig x innocent reader
Such a Dumb Little Thing
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Druig is not a good man. Sure, he’s an immortal eternal, but by no means was he a hero. Hero’s are good people, hero’s only ever have good intentions. Hero’s do no wrong. But he’s saved people, he’ll be saved the planet! But what he planned on doing to you, that made him lose all hero points.
Druig first saw you 2 years after the emergence. After he rebuilt his village, he decided to move to Queens. He had some friends there after all.
Once he arrived at the Avengers Tower and had a brain cell splitting conversation with Loki’s oaf of a brother Thor, he went to the library to find him.
Once he saw his old friend, he stood in the doorway waiting for him to notice his presence. But you can’t exactly scare the God of Tricks, now can you?
“You seem as brooding as ever.” Loki said with mirth in his voice.
“And you seem as depressed as ever. How’s the daddy issues?”
“How’s the fake God?”
Eventually, neither one of them could keep it together. As soon as their eyes connected they burst out laughing. They gave each other a side hug and reconnected.
Druig is in the living room now, listening to Loki hum an Asgardian hymn. Druig was listening as he read The Odyssey. He was half way done when the elevators opened up, with two teens stepping out.
One, being Peter Parker. Otherwise known as Spider-Man. The arachnid avenger. The second, being unknown to Druig. But he wanted to change that. This one drew him in.
She was tall, most likely above 5’7. Soft locks flowing down to her breasts, wavy and beautiful. Her eyes, a beautiful dark brown. But her clothing, a beautiful indicator of her innocence.
This angel in front of him, this goddess, was wearing a pink milkmaid dress. Her tits practically flowing out the top. The dress just barely covered her ass, falling down to mid thigh. She had on knee high socks with a light pink bow in the middle, and Mary Janes to cover her feet.
She was a wet dream. With her hair in pigtails and adorned in bows, she looked ready for him to take her. And yeah he meant fuck when he said “take her” but he also meant literally take. He planned on kidnapping her.
In his mind, it wasn’t exactly kidnapping. It was relieving her of her duties. She’d be his pretty little housewife. His own personal cum dump. She’d walk around in that dress or only an apron and knee socks. His pretty house wife.
“Oh, hi mister Loki! This is Y/N, she’s my friend from science!” Peter said.
It seemed Druig hadn’t been noticed yet. But you noticed him. You were staring, quite hard to be honest. His leather jacket made him seem all the more attractive.
“H-Hello! I’m Y/N, but you already knew that. Peter just introduced me, I’m sorry that was dumb.”
She’s cute. Quite adorable actually.
“Hello Bunny. Pleasure to meet you.” Had you not been standing, you would’ve clenched your legs together. A way to relive the ache between your thighs.
You’d let him use you if it meant he’d kiss you. You barley knew the man but you’d made up your mind.
“I, um, oh my god. I-It’s a pleasure to meet you too! What’s your name?” You asked as you sat next to him on the couch. Peter would’ve taken a picture if he had his camera on him.
You, dressed in pink and white, cheeks aflame and thighs clenched. Next to this Eternal, dressed in all black, brooding and a dark demeanor to him. Truly comical.
“I’m Druig. I’m a friend of Loki’s.”
“Well it’s nice to meet you! Loki’s really nice to me, so any friend of his is a friend of mine!”
“Oh bunny, I don’t wanna be your friend.” Druig said with a smirk. Loki and Peter took this as a cue to leave, you two looked five seconds from fucking.
With teary eyes you asked, “you don’t?”
“Oh no bunny. I wanna be more than that. I wanna do some things that friends that don’t do with each other.” And with that, he walked to the guest room
It’s been a week. You’ve come over to the tower every day since you met Druig. Everyday it was a game of cat and mouse. He’d stare and you’d blush and never look. Too scared to even try. But tonight was different.
Peter invited you to have a sleepover and you gladly accepted. You guys watched Star Wars (Peter’s choice) and Barbie (your choice).
It’s 2am now. Peter’s sleep, has been for a while. You on the other hand, haven’t fallen asleep yet. You’re horny (all Druig’s fault) and hungry. A bad combination.
Walking out to the kitchen, you grab an apple and sit on the counter. While scrolling on your phone, you hear foot steps walking towards you. You don’t look up, half expecting it to be Peter.
“Didn’t think you’d wake up before New Years. Surprise surprise.”
“Ooh, you’ve got a slick tongue, now don’t ya.” You look up at the voice of the man who’d been plaguing your thoughts.
“I know a few tricks with my tongue too.” He says with a smile. Two can play at that game.
“Proof?”
“Oh my god! mmm nghhhh! Please Druig please!” You’re on his bed now, completely naked, while he’s still fully covered. Leather jacket on and everything.
Suddenly he stops. Removes his fingers from your puffy cunt, tongue from your clit, and head from in between your thighs.
You whine in protest, writhing and whimpering with need. You open your mouth to speak, but Druig beats you to it.
“Call me Daddy.”
You nod your head and beg him to continue. He lays his right hand on your abdomen to keep you from arching up. The thumb on his left hand finds your clit and runs figure eights. He just seems to be doing everything right.
You get close in seconds, it’s your first time even being touched like this. You’ve never even touched yourself before! You’ve never masturbated! (Your slick coating Mr.Carl the bear begs to differ.)
He can tell your close, he gets impossibly faster with his thrusts. Your a moaning mess underneath his hands, turning into putty for him to use.
The bed is moving too much for it to be just from him fingering you. You sit up just a little bit to look down and confirm your suspicions. Druig is jumping the corner of the bed. Hot.
The sight of Druig grinding against the bed sets you over the edge. You cum all over his hand, your slick covering his fingers, wrist, and forearm.
“Mhmm, virgins get wet so easily. Can’t wait to feel your soaking pussy wrapped around my cock.”
You thought he’d stop already. You’d already came, that much was evident, so why was he still pumping his fingers in and out of you?
“Mmm, dr-daddy it’s too much!”
“Be quiet or I’ll shut you up myself.” Don’t gotta tell you twice.
You muffle your whimpers with the palm of your hand, the other one finding the bed sheets to ground yourself. You were feeling floaty already.
Druig making you call him daddy, the overstimulation of him fingering you, and the tears slowly running down your cheeks was too much.
You slipped your thumb into your mouth, a coping mechanism you used when overwhelmed. Usually when you do this you’re stressed because of a test, not because you’re being fingered by an absolute God.
“Such a dumb bunny, I beg there’s not a single thought in your head right now that ain’t about me” Druig smiled. Keeping his eyes on you, he replaced his fingers with his tongue. He planned on making you cum 4 times tonight. One orgasm for each time you made him hard that day.
You could feel him deep inside you, his tongue claiming you all over again. You squirmed as you found yourself getting close to the edge again. And Druig new this too.
“I want you to keep your eyes on me when you cum, look away, and I’ll stop and leaving you begging me to cum.” You nodded in submission and listened.
Once you found yourself about to cum, you looked at Druig with begging eyes. You looked so pathetic right now, it made him chuckle. The vibrations from his laughter sent you over the edge. Your eyes almost rolled back, but Druig smacked your thigh before they could.
While Druig helped you ride out your orgasm, you made eye contact the entire time. Once your high was over, you were left panting and staring up at the ceiling.
“Oh baby, we aren’t even close to done yet.”

🫀REQUESTS ARE OPEN🫀
Imagine Druig saving you from a Deviant
They say that when you're about to die, life flashes before your eyes - for a second before the inevitable happens, you reflect on your choices, relive your sorrows and laughter.
Whoever said those words must never have stared death into her vacant, deep eyes. Although, the death that came for you had eyes more akin to fire or a burning sun - orange, filled with vigour and yet terrifyingly vacant, expressionless. As if primal hate could live on its own.
Your throat clenched but you didn't feel scared or sad in any way - those emotions, although had previously flooded all your thoughts, were nowhere to be found any longer. There was a melancholic peace in being subjected to nature's cycles: there was nothing you could do about your fate anymore. Weirdly enough, you were alright with that. At the end of fear, there was oblivion.
You closed your eyes telling yourself that you were prepared for your imminent future. Then you heard a gunshot, a grunt and something spilling. Miraculously, no furious malice bit into you.
Hesitantly, you opened your eyes to see why the gods of death decided to spare you that day. The red-eyed beast was lying on the ground, the fiery violence long gone. Standing over the bizarre greyish-blue body was Druig, with a clearly unnerved expression on his face.
"Are you alright?" he asked in a tense voice.
Druig barely gave you time to respond when he grabbed your face and began looking for any scratches or bruises. His hands caressed every patch of your skin they could reach.
"Hey," you softly called out to him. His worried eyes met your calm ones. In a reassuring manner, you put your hands around his wrists. "I'm okay."
He stared at you for a moment. The distress showing in his eyes was so intense you couldn't be sure he saw anything except for that. In his frenzied mind, you were still in grave danger.
Druig spared no time embracing you in a tight hug. His grip was so strong it felt as if he was afraid someone was going to try to pry you away from him at any moment. Druig's skin always smelled of rain and wood but at the moment there was a faint aroma of gunpowder following him.
"I don't know what I'd do if I lost you," he confessed quietly.
"Really? I know exactly what I'd do."
Druig slightly pulled away to look at your face. He didn't seem to mind your strangely aloof demeanour. It was hard to believe you could have already been dead. Druig furrowed his eyebrows - he didn't know where your thoughts were headed. "What?"
"Find you," you answered with a gentle shrug of shoulders. "Wherever you'd be."
Druig didn't answer. Truthfully, he couldn't find appropriate words to put his feelings into. Whatever he felt, whatever expression could fit the burning in his chest - it was a little too human to have a name in any human language; it was too essential to being alive.

“I wish I were Heather.” Pt 2.
Part 2 finally! pairing: Druig x Fem! Eternal! Reader Warnings: Angst to fluff. Confessions. Fluff and sad Druig. Then cute and cuddly Druig kinda. Idk really.
Your first thought, was of Druig, as he walked away from Ikaris. Ikaris and you we’re friends yeah, sometimes you’d joke around, like you’d pretend to be lovers, when your bored. So that’s why he kissed you. The man you did love, was Druig! Your Druig! I mean you were supposed to hate him, but how could you, you loved everything about him. He was your favorite person. So you had to find him. You followed him to his room. You heard everything his quiet sobs. You finally understood that what you to had was not hate, but love. And you would not stand by any longer thinking your love was unrequited. The thought of possibly being together and happy with him was almost too much to bear. But you quietly opened his door, to see him sitting on the edge of his bed, sobbing softly. Head in his hands.
You quietly approached him and wrapped you arms, around him. He looked up at you, eyes full of tears, he couldn’t bring himself to even tell you to go away, your presence was comforting. He grabbed you and pulled you closer to him, burying his face in the crook of your neck as he cried. “Why are you here, Y/N?” He finally said, voice cracking, as he looked up at you, with a tear striking face.
“I’m here because I love you. And I want you to be ok. Do you understand?” You said softly as you wiped away the tears, softly. And smiled at him.
He nodded slightly not believing that you loved him, but you said it and that had to mean something, he caressed your face, softly, as he smiled a slight grin at you, happy to be with you.
“I love you too, my beautiful beautiful Y/N. Now hold me, please?” He asked, as he pleaded with you silently to hold him, wanting nothing more than to be close to you.
“Yes, Druig I’ll hold you as long as you want.”
AN; Hope you liked it! Let me know if you’d like me to write you something special! Pls and Ty! Stay safe! Luv y’all. And remember you are smart, beautiful, important and special!
