She glances behind her one last time, making sure the door is closed, before swinging her legs to the other side. She grabs the metal ladder next to her window, climbing on top of it. Closing the window, Y/N starts going down until she can jump down to the ground.
With a giggle, Y/N jogs to her friend’s car and gets inside the passenger seat. “Hi.” She grins widely, dropping her bag to her feet.
“Hey, girl.” Her friend starts the car. “You got out without being noticed?”
Y/N scoffs. “I don’t think I can do anything without my moms noticing, but, they didn’t stop me.”
“I guess that’s the best you can do with spy parents.” The friend puts the radio on. “What’d you bring?”
“Some movies, new season of the show we’re watching and snacks.” Y/N digs through her bag, showing them to her friend. “Your favorite candy.” She shakes the plastic bag of sweets with a grin on her face.
“That’s why you’re my favorite.”
For hours, Y/N and her friend have been watching movies their parents wouldn’t allow them to see. They’re staying at a third friend’s house, whose parents are a lot more laid back and doesn’t mind the extra people coming in and out of the house in the middle of the night.
A phone starts ringing, making all of them groan and complain as they try to find out which phone it is. “It’s mine!” Y/N shouts, holding up her phone. “Shit, it’s my mom. What’s the time?”
“Six.”
“Christ.” Y/N answers the phone. “Hey, mom.” Her voice is cheery, though tired from being up all night.
“Hey, where are you? Natasha’s voice comes through the phone.
“In my room, of course.”
Natasha grins, staring at the empty room in front of her. “Okay. Mind bringing some milk on your way to the kitchen? We’re out and I’m feeling like pancakes for breakfast.”
“Got it.” Y/N ends the call and turns to her friends. “I have to go, will you drive me? We need to go to the store on the way.”
“Can’t you stay? Your mom has to know you’re not home, so what’s a few more hours?”
“I can’t stay, because my mom needs milk for pancakes.” Y/N grabs her bag, stuffing all her things in there. “We can continue later. Keep the movie until then.”
“You do everything your mom says.” The friend sighs, but stands up and gets ready to leave.
She giggles. “Of course, they’re my moms.”
Y/N jogs to the side of the house and starts climbing up the ladders. On top, she opens the window and jumps in. Quickly, she changes into her nightwear and grabs two cartons of milk from her backpack.
Humming, she walks down the stairs and straight to the kitchen. “Here’s the milk you asked for.” Y/N sets the cartons on the table, right in front of Natasha.
“Thank you, sweetheart.” Natasha resta her elbows on the table, staring at Y/N. “Sleep well?”
“Yeah.”
Wanda slumps down the stairs, her eyes still half closed from tiredness. “Morning, baby.” She kisses the top of Y/N’s head. “Morning, honey.” She and Natasha kiss. “Why are you awake so early.”
Y/N yawns and points at Natasha. “I woke up when mom left for her run.”
“Natasha, you have to stop being so loud so early in the morning.” Wanda lectures with a shake of her head as she goes to get the ingredients for pancakes.
“Right, I’m so loud.” Natasha raises her brows and looks at Y/N, who only shrugs with a grin.

*Y/n and Nat trying to tuck their daughter into bed*
Y/n: Close your eyes, sweetheart
The little girl: Can I sleep with you and Mama?
Natasha: Not tonight, malyshka. You can sleep in your big girl bed
The girl, pouting to Y/n: It’s not fair. You get to snuggle with Mama every night and I’m all alone in here
Y/n: Oh, that’s so sweet. What do you think, Nat?
Natasha, smiling softly: Come on, baby girl. Let’s go snuggle

hi! i was wondering if you could do a marvel/avengers x reader? where reader came from kind of a bad background and has to kinda learn that eating and doing things is normal and that they dont need to ask for permission. And the avengers realise after watching reader that they actually come from a bad background and tries to reassure that their safe? is that too complicated? SO SORRY IF IT IS. it would be really cool if you just do anything Marvel tho!! BUT OBVIOUSLY NO PRESSURE or anything. Thank you for listening and sorry if you dont understand what i said
Sorry that it took so long😿 but here it is
(also I'm so sorry the other requests are taking so long, I'm kind of busy but I try to write as much as I can when I have time)

Save haven
The Avengers Compound was unlike anything you had ever experienced. It was a fortress of safety, filled with cutting-edge technology and people who were hero's. For someone like you, who had spent years on the streets and in rough situations, it was unreal
You had been given a room of your own. The bed was massive, soft, and the blankets were warm. But even so, you often slept on top of the covers, not wanting to disturb the neatly made bed. You woke up early every morning, creeping out of your room to explore the compound, careful not to make any noise.
The kitchen was the first place you visited, It was always well-stocked, with a variety of foods you hadn’t seen in years. But instead of taking what you wanted, you’d wait until someone else entered, watching them prepare their meal before hesitantly asking if it was okay for you to eat too.
One morning, you lingered by the fridge, your stomach rumbling softly. Tony Stark walked in, still half-asleep, and went straight for the coffee machine. He glanced at you, noticing how you stood there, hands clasped together, your eyes darting between the food and him.
“Morning, kid,” Tony greeted, yawning. “Help yourself. You don’t need to ask.”
You smiled weakly but didn’t move, waiting until he had taken his coffee and left the kitchen before you finally grabbed a small yogurt. You ate it quickly, standing by the counter, before hurrying out to avoid being seen by anyone else.
It wasn’t just in the kitchen. Throughout the day, you found yourself unsure of what you were allowed to do. You asked permission to use the bathroom, take a shower, even to sit down in the common areas. You tried your best to stay out of the way, not wanting to be a burden.
The Avengers started to notice your behavior, though it took some time for them to piece together the full picture. At first, they chalked it up to nerves—after all, you were new, and living with superheroes could be intimidating. But as the days turned into weeks, they began to see that it was more than just nerves.
One afternoon, while everyone was gathered in the common room, you were perched on the edge of an armchair, looking uncomfortable. Natasha was sitting nearby, watching you with quiet concern. She noticed how you stiffened every time someone raised their voice, even in laughter. She saw how you glanced around, seemingly searching for cues on how to act.
When Steve offered you a spot on the couch next to him, you hesitated, eyes wide, as if unsure if you were really allowed. “It’s okay,” he assured you, patting the cushion. “You can sit here.”
You nodded and carefully sat down, but even then, you kept your hands folded in your lap, as if afraid to touch anything. Natasha exchanged a look with Steve, who gave a small, understanding nod.
Later that night, Natasha found you alone in the kitchen, cleaning up after dinner. You were scrubbing the counters diligently, even though the staff usually took care of it.
“Hey,” Natasha said softly, not wanting to startle you. “You don’t have to do that. We have people who handle the cleaning.”
You paused, turning to face her. “I just… wanted to help. I didn’t want to be useless.”
Natasha’s heart ached at your words. She approached you slowly, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. “You’re not useless. You’re part of this team now. You don’t have to earn your place by doing chores or asking for permission. You belong here.”
You looked down, feeling a lump in your throat. “It’s hard to believe that sometimes,” you admitted. “Where I came from, I had to ask for everything. If I didn’t, I’d get in trouble.”
Natasha’s eyes softened, and she guided you to sit down at the kitchen table. “You don’t have to live like that anymore. This is your home now. No one here will hurt you or punish you. You’re safe.”
As she spoke, Steve walked in, having overheard the last part of the conversation. He pulled up a chair and sat down across from you. “We’re your family now,” he said, his voice kind and sincere. “We’re here for you, no matter what. You don’t need to be afraid or ask for permission to be yourself.”
You felt tears welling up, but this time, you didn’t try to hide them. Natasha squeezed your hand, offering silent support, while Steve gave you a reassuring smile. It was the first time in a long while that you felt like maybe, just maybe, you could trust this place—these people.
The next morning, when you entered the kitchen, you saw Tony pouring himself a cup of coffee again. This time, you didn’t wait for permission. You grabbed a bowl, filled it with cereal, and sat down at the table. Tony noticed, a small smile playing on his lips as he watched you take this small, but significant, step.
“Good to see you helping yourself, kid,” Tony remarked casually, taking a seat across from you.
You offered him a shy smile. “I’m trying.”
Over the next few weeks, you found yourself slowly adjusting to life in the compound. Clint would invite you to join him in watching movies, and you began to relax, realizing you didn’t have to wait for an invitation. Wanda started baking with you in the afternoons, teaching you recipes from her childhood, and you felt the joy of doing something just because you wanted to.
The others continued to reassure you in small ways. Steve always made a point to include you in conversations, never letting you feel like an outsider. Thor would leave small treats for you, gifts from his trips off-world, just to see you smile. Bruce offered quiet companionship in the lab, never pressuring you to talk, but always there if you needed someone.
One evening, after a particularly fun movie night with Clint and Sam, you found yourself laughing freely for the first time in ages. The laughter felt foreign, but good, like a weight had been lifted from your chest. You looked around at the team, realizing that you were truly beginning to feel like you belonged.
As everyone said their goodnights and headed to their rooms, Natasha caught your eye. She gave you a small nod, a silent acknowledgment of how far you had come.
“You did good, (Y/N),” she said, her voice soft and full of pride. “You’re doing great.”
You smiled, genuinely this time. “Thanks, Nat. I think I’m starting to believe that I really am safe here.”
She squeezed your shoulder gently before heading off to bed. Alone in the common room, you took a moment to appreciate the warmth and comfort that now surrounded you. It had been a long journey to get here, but for the first time in a long time, you felt like you were truly home.
And in that moment, you knew that this place—this team—was your safe haven.

Natasha: Y/N, you're not actually alergic to bacon. It's a lie Wanda came up with so that you'd eat healthier.
Y/N: It's not like that, Nat. I'm alergic to a lot of stuff. Bacon, donuts, Halloween candies, not saying 'thank you'
Y/N: ...
Y/N: Oh.

Ever since you had Vince, your main priority in life became being a good mother to him. You had hoped to raise him with his father, Vincent, but there was a fatal accident at the lab you both worked at that took his life too soon. You were almost another casualty too but you weren’t as close to the site as your husband. Now, however, you’re left to a life of single motherhood.
Grief was your closest companion in the months that followed your husband’s untimely death but you never strayed off course too long; you had to be strong for your baby.
Vince, lovingly nicknamed Vinny, became the centre of your world. Everything revolves around him and you wouldn’t have it any other way. There were hard times and happy times. Times when you cried without reason and times when you couldn’t stop smiling until your cheeks hurt. Being a single mother, made it lonely at times, but you know that Vincent is watching over you and little Vinny every day so you aren’t truly alone.
Watching Vinny grow into the little man he is today was a joy you would never regret. One day, you will surely look back on these times with a smile. Each day, you see more and more of his father in him. They had the same eyes, the same dimpled smile, the same light brown hair and forest-green eyes – he was the perfect carbon copy of your late husband and you couldn’t be happier. It made your heart swell knowing that you had a piece of Vincent left in this world to cherish with all the love in your heart. And. although it was your job as a mother to protect Vinny, sometimes, you feel as if he’s the one protecting you.
Two days ago, you celebrated your little man’s one-year birthday. He had grown up far too quickly and with the brains and cheek of no other one-year-old you have ever met. You were excited to see the type of personality he would develop and what things he would be interested in, would he be a science geek like you and his father or would he be more artistic? A painter? A musician? Maybe he would learn to love literature or be more of a businessman. Perhaps an athlete? You were thrilled at the possibilities, wanting the best for your son and feeling eager to support him in any way. Even though, you don’t think you’re the type of mother to go overboard on such things, you will do your best to be there for him.
But…
This was not one of the things you had foreseen or even thought of when Vinny turned a year old. The doctors said the gamma rays barely reached you, that you and your unborn child would be alright—!
“Vinny! Get down here now! Please baby!” you plead desperately, chasing after your one-year-old as he giggles above you. Vinny was in the air, suspended by some invisible string, floating about freely with the cheekiest grin on his face and both dimples on show! The desperation and fright in your voice are obvious as you follow him around your small apartment with a basket full of pillows, plushies and blankets, ready to catch him if he falls unexpectedly.
Due to the unexpected development following Vinny’s first birthday, you rushed to take the week off work and concentrate on figuring things out with your baby. So far, you’ve had no luck. In fact, the only thing you’ve been able to start is a growing list of all the powers he’s demonstrated over the past three days. Despite your astonishment, first and foremost, you are a mother. And a mother worries for her child excessively.
You don’t know what to do!
You’ve barely had any sleep, practically living off coffee. And Vinny’s hardly slept either. To your guilty dismay, you’ve been taming with sugary treats, just so you could hold him down and have a breather from all the building stress, maybe take a nap together!
The neighbours are definitely not happy with you for your running about and pleading helplessly while Vinny giggles like the little gremlin he at your visible dismay. Your apartment is a mess with certain things not being where they should be and others replacing items in places that aren’t appropriate – courtesy of Vinny’s curious and mischievous behaviour. The laundry needs doing. Vinny needs to have a diaper change. You haven’t eaten in how many hours now. When was the last time you slept and for how long? When was the last time Vinny slept and for how long?!
Everything just keeps mounting!
Single motherhood is hard enough as it is but now you have to deal with your baby having multiple powers! No other mother has had to deal with a power-gifted child before so there weren’t any YouTube tutorials or parenting forums online to help you with the tight bind you’ve found yourself in.
Another day (or was it two days now?) pass and you’re a wreck, barely tied together by the thread of your sanity. But Vinny is having the time of his life. Your little boy thoroughly enjoys the sensations of his newly discovered powers and the list you’ve kept of his the is ever-growing. He can teleport, duplicate himself, generate electricity, levitate things, has laser eyes, spontaneously combust and happily remain on fire without injury, change his physical form into various materials, reverse time on objects to repair them, display superhuman strength and shapeshift with his most favourite thing to do be floating in the air!
“Vinny please!” you’re pleading is met with a devious giggle. Thankfully, your one-year-old has stopped moving around so you can place the well-prepared basket of cushions, plushies and blankets directly below him before turning on a very reliable tactic.
“Look, Vinny! Look!” whipping out your iPad, you turn on a compilation video of the Avengers. “It’s our favourite heroes!” With a squeal of delight, Vinny slowly descends into your arms as he claps his hands. His gaze remains transfixed on his idols talking on screen and occasionally taking action to save the day. Smiling to his ears, Vinny babbles gibberish alongside the heroes as they speak like he’s talking to them and having a pleasant conversation over tea and biscuits. He loves them so much that his first birthday was Avengers-themed – his favourite avenger switched often so you included all the heroes in your  decorations.
Placing Vinny on the sofa, he leans back and gets cosy as you hold the iPad up for him. These were one of your saved videos on Youtube specifically for Vinny. Wanting to avoid exposing him to the more explicit action the Avengers usually partake in to save the day, you had taken the liberty of scanning the videos beforehand for any overly violent content. The child-friendly videos, you kept. These were of Captain America saving a cat from a tree, Ironman showing up on the red carpet in his suit and striking comical poses, Spiderman swinging from buildings and doing flips mid-air, Thor and Loki getting coffee together, Pietro pausing mid-chase to wave at a fan before speeding away and many more child-friendly interactions the Avengers have had with or was captured by the public.
What do you do?...
Amid your exhaustion and silent deliberation, you begin to zone out until you’re just as transfixed on the clips playing out. It makes you smile through the exhaustion when you see Vinny squeal and clap joyfully at the sight of Bucky lifting part of a collapsed building so that a little girl could free her whining puppy from the heavy debris.
“Buck!” he cheers the former Winter Soldier on.
“Clever boy~” you coo sweetly and almost laugh at yourself when you realise his advanced intelligence should have been the telling sign of an incredibly gifted child. Why didn’t you pick up on it sooner?
Swallowing a sigh of defeat, you tuck Vinny further into your side as the Avengers tower comes into view on screen. You both watch as the Hellicarrier docks at the top and your beloved heroes step down from the aircraft before making their way inside. In response, Vinny mimics the sound of the Hellicarrier by blowing raspberries and getting his spit all over the screen. His antics make you giggle despite the mess and you try to clean up the screen as quickly as possible for a better viewing experience. Upset with your efforts, Vinny, whines and tries to push your hand away with a pout.
“Uhhh! Excuse me, mister. That is your spit on the screen and it needs to be cleaned off. I’ll be quick, I promise,” Apparently, you aren’t quick enough and Vinny begins to throw a tantrum, crying loud enough that the soundwaves he produces shake the walls of your apartment. You want to comfort him and apologise but his cries are so loud that you have to cover your ears.
It takes a while for your baby to calm down enough that your arm can be free to cradle him close and coo softly in apology. Your neighbours are definitely going to demand that you get kicked out of the building. Heaving a heavy sigh, you pick up the iPad to resume the video but the paused image of the Avengers tower gives you an idea.

Travelling to Manhattan was easier than you initially expected but that didn’t mean you weren’t anxious the entire way there. You worried that Vinny would show his powers spontaneously and attract unwanted attention. To minimise the risk, you hired a taxi, that way, you could keep a better eye him the entire ride there. So that he was happy and comfortable, you dressed him in his favourite hooded dinosaur romper. And with his beloved Avengers compilation videos playing in the background, you, thankfully, didn’t have any major disturbances on the journey there. You actually managed to get in a quick power nap on the journey.
Upon arrival, you quickly pay for the taxi and hurry to the entrance of the Avengers Tower. You didn’t want to come off as a crazy person but the stress, lack of sleep and desperation for help weren’t doing you any favours — you looked nutty. Not even the make-up could hide your dark circles nor did your styled hair disguise the wildness in your eyes. It’s no wonder the front desk receptionist looks at you weirdly, with a concerning mix of worry and fear in her eyes.
“I promise I’m not some delusional, crazy fan!” you try to convince her as soon as you see her arm reaching for something on the table, probably an emergency button for security. “My 12-month-old just developed powers overnight and I need help!” you plead with tears in your eyes. No sleep, high stress and low energy, you can deal with— you just want your baby to grow up well and… you don’t think you can do it alone anymore…
“I’m sorry ma’am but I’m afraid that if you don’t have an appointment—”
“Please! This is a baby emergency! My son needs your help! Please!” you cry out and reach for her hand, trying to convey your desperation through the clench of your hands around hers. However, before the secretary could retaliate, you notice one singular, glaring thing. Glancing down at the car seat turned carrier beside your feet, you make the startling realisation that it was now empty.
Where. Is. Vinny?!
𖡼.𖤣𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧
Vinny knows where his mama has taken him and he’s so happy! He gurgles his happiness and claps as his favourite person in the whole world places him down at the home of his best-loved heroes. He can’t wait to meet them and grows a little impatient when you talk with the lady behind the counter for longer than he was willing to wait for. So Vinny decides to leave you alone and let you continue your nice conversation with the lady. He knows just where to go!
“...you guys see the baby too, right?...” Tony states the obvious. Everyone was just settling down as late afternoon transitions into evening and was gradually gathering in the living room when a baby materialises on top of their coffee table. He’s dressed in an adorable dinosaur romper and smiles brightly up at them, clapping his tiny hands and expressing his joy.
“Yup,” Steve stares at the clapping infant in disbelief, “that’s a baby…”
For a moment, nobody knows what to do and everything is at a standstill. How did a baby get here? Their minds were going on over drive trying to gauge if this was some sort of distraction or threat disguised in the most innocent form imaginable. They don’t want to fall for it but… its a baby!
“Hey there little guy,” Pietro kneels down with a hesitant smile. If there was danger soon to follow this first interaction, he can easily zip away with his super speed. This was a common formula for their missions so he steps up to do the confrontation first. Some members continue watching the interaction, whilst others engage in hush whispers, trying to figure out how the baby got there. In the background, Tony addresses FRIDAY with Pepper and asks for some kind of explanation.
Ecstatic with the interaction, the baby squeals and leans forward, putting his little palms on the coffee table to keep his balance and looks deeply into Pietro’s eyes. Feeling a swell of fondness for the small infant, Pietro whispers another ‘hello’ but is cut off when the mysterious baby’s light brown hair suddenly changes into a familiar silver colour, the same way his forest green eyes morph into a familiar blue.
Wanda gasps and kneels down beside her brother, “he looks like you as a baby,” she coos at the child with fondness in her eyes. Due to the unfortunate events in their lives, Wanda and Pietro had become exceptionally close as siblings, they were the type to take a bullet for each other and were a reliable duo on the field. They had to grow up fast but seeing a glimpse of their childhood in the baby’s morphing into Pietro was equal parts exciting and heart-melting.
“Fascinating,” Dr Banner muses, slowly approaching the coffee table. He originally kept his distance but his fascination at the display overrode his caution. In the background, Thor’s jaw drops and Loki smirks, stifling a chuckle from behind his fingers.
“That child is devious but very charming!” Thor announces in his characteristically loud and strong voice, grinning toothily at the child.
“Sounds like someone familiar,” Loki comments under his breath and tilts his chin up in pride.
“Yes yes, brother, but this child is much cuter than you,” Thor chuckles into his glass of water, only to begin choking when Loki gives him a timely punch in the gut.
“Very cute little man, isn’t he Buck?” Sam chimes in as he stands with the two super soldiers, remembering the time when his nephews were innocent little babies. Both super soldiers have their arms crossed but aren’t necessarily tense, it’s clear the child isn’t a threat but the display of innate powers were worth putting on some guard and vigilance.
“You mean dinosaur?” Bucky lightly comments as the three share a grin.
“Right! He’s the same age as you two fossils, then?” Sam has the gall to laugh but almost bites down on his tongue when Bucky hits him in the shoulder. “Ow! Watch it! My arm’s not made of vibranium like yours, Robo-cop.” Turning to the other supersoldier, Sam begs for an ally, “Did you see what he did Steve?”
The blonde captain simply shakes his head in amusement as Sam rubs his sore arm, “You had it coming Wilson,” Turning back to the mysterious baby, Steve hums in thought, “should we call Fury?”
Even though Vinny thoroughly enjoyed the attention from the Maximoff twins and Banner, he won’t be fully satisfied until he gets to meet all of his heroes up close. In the blink of an eye, he was in Natasha’s arms. The shocking display of teleportation makes everything click.
“So that’s how you got up here,” Natasha muses, gradually allowing herself to cradle the baby and smile warmly when he giggles in her arms. Cooing, Clint comes up behind her and starts making silly faces over her shoulder, making the child giggle even more. The happy sounds make everyone in the room smile, momentarily forgetting the oddness of the situation until Friday’s voice speaks through the speakers and brings up footage from the CCTV cameras in the main lobby.
“It appears as though the child was brought in by his mother just early on, asking for help,” The team watches as you helplessly converse with their staff as the rest run about looking for your missing baby.
“Oh no…” Pepper breaths and begins making her way to the door after exchanging a look with Tony.
“Bring up the earlier footage of when they first came in,” Tony requests. Everyone doesn’t take their eyes off the screen as they watch you hurriedly come in with a baby carrier and immediately begin talking to the front receptionist. Your frantic movements, wild eyes and unsettled nerves make you look like a lunatic but they were nothing but sympathetic. With their line of work and the stresses it comes with, they’re all too familiar with your current state.
“The staff refused to let her in but the baby appears to have teleported up here,” FRIDAY concludes, showing the exact moment Vinny vanishing from his carrier and you noticing his disappearance.
“Tell the staff to let the lady in, we have her child up here,” Steve commands, everyone already in silent agreement.
“Right away, Cap,” FRIDAY responds. And Tony informs them that Pepper had gone to help out with things too.
“Ma!” Vinny cheers at seeing his mother on the screen, thoroughly distracted from Clint’s silly faces and Natasha’s comforting warmth. “Mama! Mamamamamamamama!” He babbles and floats up to the screen, trying to be close to your CCTV image.
“Woah! Woah! Woah!” Tony shouts in alarm and everyone quickly follows. They all rush to stand beneath the baby as FRIDAY takes away the footage, confusing the baby. Where did his mama go?
“Mama?” Vinny waves his small hands in the air and whines, trying to ask for his mama back but gets nothing. Still up in the air, the Avengers are in complete panic below the baby and become even more hysterical when he begins to wail in distress. “MAMA!!! WAHHHHHHHHH!”
“No no! Please don’t cry!” Clint pleads, “Do you want some of my pizza?” the archer offers a slice of classic pepperoni but Nat hisses in disapproval.
“He’s a baby Clint, he can’t eat pizza!”
“Make it stop!” Loki snaps, covering his ears as he glares at his older brother.
“What am I supposed to do?!” Thor protests.
Wanda levitates into the air and reaches for him, “Hey hey, it’s okay, you’re okay baby. Your mama will be here soon,” just as Wanda gets close enough to pull the baby to her, he floats away with a cry.
“No! Mama!”
“Oh please come back!” Wanda begs, trying to go after him again but the baby was having none of it. The aerial chase has all spectators holding their breath and Wanda pleading helplessly for the baby to stop but he refuses to comply.
It seems to take forever until Pepper finally opens the door you come rushing, immediately putting a stop to your baby’s tantrum, “Vinny!”
“Mama!” the baby wails and flies into your open arms.
“Don’t ever do that again, mister!” you scold gently, happy to finally have your treasure back in your arms. The avengers look on with small smiles and Wanda finally floats back down to stand by her twin brother. Finally calming down, Vinny cuddles up to you with a yawn and you roll your eyes. “Of course… he causes all this trouble and now I have to do all the explaining by myself,”
Partial to your grumblings, Pepper laughs lightly and leads you to a free seat on one of the sofas, “why don’t you start from the beginning?”
“Would you like some water, ma’am?” Steve offers kindly and you smile.
“I’d really appreciate that, thank you Captain,”
“No worries and just Steve is fine,” as he leaves to get you a glass of water from the bar, everyone else gets settled for an explanation.
This was gonna be interesting…

“So how's things going with Y/n?” Steve asks as Bucky comes to sit on the couch and join everyone.
“Great. She gets me and I seem to get her.” Bucky answered taking the water from Steve’s offering hand, leaning back into the couch.
“How’s it going with her son?” Natasha raised a brow at the super soldier. To her that was the real test.
“Good. It seems good. He doesn’t hate me. Y/n says he’s always talking about me and when they’ll see me again.” he nodded along with a smile tugging on his lips.
“He likes you Bucky.” Wanda smiled knowingly.
“So far.” Bucky let out a relieved but stressed breath.
“Are you expecting him to hate you at some point?” Steve raised his eyebrows at his childhood friend with shock and confusement.
“I don't want him to but it’s just him and y/n his whole life. I don’t want to think I’m taking his mom from him.” Bucky told them his recently insecure thoughts.
“The kid loves you and you include him in almost everything you do with Y/n. I doubt he feels like you're taking his mom from him." Nat says looking Bucky in the eye’s to get across her words are fact.
“Bucky, you love that boy. The way you talk about him, it’s obvious.” Steve points out leaning forward.
“Why don’t you bring them over? It’s not like you don’t have the space. You have a large apartment to yourself.” Tony gives Bucky the idea. They all had their own huge apartment in the compound.
“That’d be okay?” Bucky questioned warily. He would love to have Y/n and Y/s/n over, maybe even eventually move in.
“Diffidently.” Tony nodded, he loved the idea of another kiddo running around.
^     ^     ^
“Hey” Y/n greet’s as Bucky opens the door. He had invited them over for the day and over course they would come over. Y/s/n wanted to see Bucky really badly, not that he hadn’t seen him a day ago. Y/n was excited and slightly nervous, she knew inviting them over was a big deal for Bucky.
“Hey, welcome.” Bucly smiled, covering his nerves well.
“Bucky!” Y/s/n yells out excited to be visiting him with a huge smile on his face.
“Y/s/n” Bucky smiled at him, really glad that the boy was excited to visit him.
“So what do you think?” Bucky asked y/n as they entered his place in the compound, Y/s/n had already run off to go explore Bucky’s place.
“Its very nice.” y/n smiled back absent mindedly as she looked around.
“Its huge.” Bucky stated plainly.
“Yeah, but that’s not a bad thing.” Y/n turns to him with a smile on her lips.
“It gets lonely.” he told her admittedly.
“Well Y/s/n and I are here now. Less lonely. Right?” Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Definitely.” Bucky smiled back at her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
The 3 of them spent the day together, playing games, coloring and making lunch.
Y/s/n decided to color a surprise as he called it.
“What you got there bud?” bucky asked him as Y/s/n approached him.
“For you. Its mommy, me, and you.” Y/s/n handed the coloring picture to Bucky shyly.
As Bucky looked at the picture hennoticed a very important detail. In the picture under the drawing of Bucky Y/s/n didn’t put down ‘Bucky’ he wrote ‘Dad’.
Y/n noticed how Y/s/n handed it over shyly to Bucky and that Bucky was staring at it for a while. y/n leaned over and saw why.
“Bucky, I understand it its to soon for this-” Y/n watched him nervously, trying to find the words too explain.
But Bucky didn’t let her finish, he got up and walked over to put it up on his fridge. The only two items on the fridge was an old picture of him and Steve in black and white, and a picture of the Avengers team. Plus now y/s/n’s drawing.
“Thank you Y/s/n.” Bucky smiled, picking him up and hugging him. Maybe the kid loves him just as much as Bucky loves the kid back.
That drawing ,eant more to Bucky than he could put into words, and he loves it. Its not something he thought he could have. That he’d ever have.
From then on it became a normal occurrence for y/n and Y/s/n started staying over at Bucky’s place in the compound a lot more.
^     ^     ^
Weeks Later
“Okay buddy time for bed.” Y/n tells Y/s/n as it was getting late.
Y/s/n mumbled under his breath not wanting to go to bed. But maybe he could work it in his favor.
“What was that bud?” Bucky asked, having heard him mumble something but couldn’t make out what it was.
“Can I sleep in your room?” Y/s/n spoke up louder this time.
Y/n goes to say no, not wanting Bucky to feel obligated or pressured by Y/s/n request. At home it was fine for y/s/n to come into bed with his mom sometimes. But before she could Bucky cut in.
“Course you can Y/s/n.” He smiled down at y/s/n encouragingly, not having a problem with him joining them in his bed.
“Can I mommy?” Y/s/n turned asking his mom to double check.
“If Bucky says so, its okay with me.” Y/n smiled down at him kissing his head to go to bed together.
Y/n wakes up to an empty bed. So she got up and followed the sounds coming from the living room. As she walked into the main area she saw Bucky and Y/s/n watching saturday morning cartoons.
“Mommy!” Y/s/n exclaimed excited;y running over to his mom, hugging her around the waist the best he could.
“Hey Y/s/n. What are you doing with Bucky?” She questioned even though it was obvious.
“Me and Daddy were watching cartoons!” Y/s/n told her excitedly to share his morning with Bucky.
“You were?” Y/n raised an eyebrow showing her son she was inturged.
“Yeah.” Y/s/n nodded smiling widely.
“Well now that mommy’s up, let's make breakfast.” Bucky spoke getting up from his spot on the couch.
As Bucky approached her and Y/s/n went to the kitchen to wait for them, y/n looked at Bucky apologetically. “I’m sorry if he’s pushing this whole dad thing on you.”
“Y/n.” Bucky stop’s her reaching forward to grab ahold of her hand, smiling at her. The look on his face made it obvious no apology was needed. “He isn’t my blood, he doesn’t have my name. But that doesn’t change anything. I feel the same. I wasn’t there for his first steps or words, but I haven’t missed a ball game yet. And that won’t ever change, I could never walk away from him or you. He’s my son, that's my choice. He’s my boy. And he sees me as his dad and I’m honored to hold that title if you’ll let me.”
Y/n smiled at Bucky happily. “Of course.”

I'm your mother now, chapter 5
Tumblr media
masterlist series masterlist
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 part 6 part 7 part 8
summary: you start to grow a little closer to Natasha, and you start realising that having Yelena around can be extremely beneficial…
pairing: Dark!Natasha x teen reader, Yelena x niece reader
warnings: yelling, a lot of swearing, dark themes, kinda evil Natasha, translated Russian
genre: angst, fluffy auntie Yelena
words: 2094
a/n: it took a little while, but chapter 5 is finally here 🙌 (not proofread yet)
You do not have my permission to repost, copy or translate my work
 |——————————— ⴵ ———————————|
These past few days, while Yelena was around, you noticed Natasha's temper wasn't nearly as bad as it had been since your stay with her. She was less aggressive, she got mad at you way less and when she did, Yelena would be there to scold her, which is usually how you didn't end up with a red handprint on your cheek.
Yelena was still upstairs, and while you and Natasha were casually eating breakfast, you accidentally spilled the glass of juice you were supposed to drink.
You immediately tensed up, scared of the way Natasha would react, especially without Yelena here. However, Natasha seemed rather calm, which was something that freaked you out even more. She calmly stood up and made her way towards you, casually slapping you across the face.
Your eyes were already filling with tears, but Natasha simply walked back to her seat and sat down, continuing to eat.
“Well?” Natasha motioned towards the mess you made. “Clean it up.”
You stood up with tears in your eyes, grabbing a cloth to clean up the mess you made, when you heard an angry ‘Suka’ come from your side.
You turned to your side and saw Yelena standing there, hands on her hips and an upset expression on her face. “Was that really necessary?” she scolded Natasha in an angry tone, yet Natasha just shrugged.
“You can't just keep hitting her and then expect love in return, Natasha. That is not how it works,” Yelena exclaimed angrily, yet Natasha remained unbothered.
“I am her mother and therefore I must discipline her when she does something wrong-”
“You're not my mother,” you said quietly as you worked up the courage to look at her. “What did you just say?” Natasha asked as she stood up and glared at you. You were almost going to keep your mouth shut, but you felt safer expressing your opinion with Yelena in the room.
“You're not my fucking mother!”
“Mind your language young lady I am-”
“No you're not! You don't hurt someone you love! A real mother would never hurt her child!” you yelled at her, and both Natasha and Yelena seemed to be a little taken back by your sudden outburst of anger.
There was a short silence. Natasha took a deep breath, probably calculating what she was about to say. You looked over at Yelena, who just stood there with a proud smirk on her face.
Your eyes were filled with fear, yet Yelena stood rather relaxed.
“She's right,” she told Natasha, who then looked at her with betrayal in her eyes.
“What? You go hit me too?” Yelena asked Natasha, noticing the look in her eyes. “Whose side are you on, sestra?” Natasha then asked Yelena, to which Yelena merely shrugged.
“On the side of whoever I think is right, and you are wrong,” she then said, coming to stand next to you. She laid her hand on your shoulder, and you flinched slightly. “You see?” Yelena asked Natasha after she felt you flinch. “She flinches even at a loving touch. Hurting her does more harm than good,” she then explained to Natasha, turning to look at you.
“Go upstairs and draw for a bit,” Yelena started, before she leaned a little closer to you so she could whisper in your ear. “I have something for you later.”
You gave Yelena a small smile, before glancing at Natasha with worry and making your way to the stairs, quickly climbing them and walking towards your room. When you walked into your room, you immediately shut your door, slightly frustrated at the lack of a lock.
You felt you were safer with Yelena in the house, but you didn't feel very safe anyway. What if Natasha kicked Yelena out? What if Yelena was simply performing an act? It was still Natasha’s house, and as far as you knew, she got the last say in the matter.
You let yourself fall onto your bed, staring at the ceiling as you heard yelling coming from downstairs.
It was mainly Natasha you heard, and you figured Yelena managed to stay fairly calm even though Natasha was so enraged. You sighed as you sat back up, deciding to follow Yelena's order and draw for a bit.
After about an hour, you heard footsteps coming up the stairs, and you immediately tensed up.
They didn't sound like angry footsteps, so you figured it must be Yelena that was making her way upstairs. When you heard a knock on your door, you knew for a fact it was Yelena trying to make her way towards you.
You told her she could enter, and only after you gave permission she came in. “You make lovely drawings, malen’kiy pauk,” (little spider) she told you as she sat down on your bed after glancing at your drawing. You closed your sketchbook and turned your desk chair around so you could face her.
Yelena smiled at you, while you just looked down and picked at the skin around your nails.
Yelena noticed your actions, and stood up quickly, stopping in front of you and grabbing your hands, pulling you to your feet.
“We go on a surprise now,” she said as you looked at her in surprise, before giving her a smile.
“What kind of surprise?” you asked her, but Yelena just shook her head and gave a snort of amusement. “If I tell you, it would not be a surprise now would it.” You smiled at her, and Yelena grasped your hand and turned to the door, dragging you with her.
She walked down the stairs, dragging you with her. You saw Natasha sitting at the kitchen counter with her head in her hands, but Yelena was quick to drag you past it and to the front door.
You stopped moving when you saw Yelena open the front door. She turned around when she noticed you stopped moving, and you just shook your head.
“I'm not allowed outside…” you told her softly, yet Yelena just smiled.
“I am going with you, so you are allowed,” Yelena told you, giving your hand a gentle pull as she walked out the door. You hadn’t gone through the front door yet, and you allowed yourself to take a deep breath the moment you stepped outside.
You had obviously been outside before, but falling from a window was a little different than being allowed to go outside through the front door.
Yelena walked to her car, blindly trusting that you would follow her. You did, and as she got in the driver's seat you got in the passenger's seat.  Yelena started the car, putting on some music and driving away.
“Won't Natasha be mad?” you asked while looking outside, admiring the thick layers of soft, fluffy snow that laid on the forest floor.
“Natasha will get over it,” Yelena replied, not taking her eyes off the road.
You absentmindedly nodded your head, continuing to look outside while you hummed along to the songs on the radio.
-------------------------------------------------------------
After driving for about two hours, you noticed a little town which Yelena drove into, parking her car and getting out.
You looked towards her confused, but she couldn't see you as she stood outside. You didn't dare move. You were afraid to get out of the car, fearful that the situation might be a test. After about 5 minutes, Yelena opened your door, looking inside the car with a smile on her face.
“Are you going to sit there all day?”
You looked at her surprised, before you got out of the car and took Yelena's hand. “Are you sure Natasha is okay with this?” you asked Yelena as you walked, yet she just shrugged.
“Natasha will get over it. Now, what should we do first?” Yelena asked as she led you towards a small mall, walking inside.
“I saw you liked stuffed animals,” Yelena stated as she started walking a certain direction, dragging you along with her. “You will like build-a-bear. lt is new in this area,” Yelena said as she walked into the store, letting go of your hand so you could look around.
You smiled as you looked at the different stuffed animal, stopping as you picked up a light brown bunny. “You like that one?” you heard Yelena ask, who was now standing behind you.
You nodded your head, and before you could do anything else, Yelena took your hand and dragged you towards an employee to get your bunny filled.
When the bunny was filled with the stuffing to your liking, Yelena insisted you pick out an outfit for the bunny to wear. Once the entire experience was completed, you walked out of the store. Yelena holding your left hand, while your right one carried your new bunny.
You thanked Yelena at least 10 times, and she just kept saying it was her pleasure.
After she treated you to some ice-cream, she told you you had to get a few things for movie night, and she dragged you into the nearest grocery store.
The store wasn't very large, but it had everything you'd need. Yelena grabbed a few things she needed, while she told you to find the candy aisle and pick out 3 bags of sweets.
You happily found the candy aisle, looking at the different kinds of candy before picking out your favorite ones. A lot of the candies you didn't recognise, and of course you were unable to read the packaging. When you were about to go and find Yelena again, you were stopped by a woman.
“Ty propavshaya devushka?” (are you the missing girl?) she asked you, but you just looked at her confused
“You missing girl?” the woman repeated in the best English she could. Your eyes widened in alarm, and you didn't know what to do.
When you didn't respond, the woman looked worried and reached for her phone. She typed in 112, which you figured was the emergency number in this country.
Before she called it, she showed you the phone, nodding at you. You lightly shook your head. Your eyes were wide with shock and fear. What would Natasha do to you if she found out someone called the emergency number for  you?
The woman looked at you with concern, and you let out a small gasp of surprise when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
“Chto-to zdes’ ne tak?” (is there something wrong here?) you heard Yelena ask the woman in Russian, and the woman looked at her suspiciously. You lowered your gaze as Yelena had a stare down with the woman.
The woman looked at you with concern, before she decided it would be best to walk away.
The moment she was out of sight, you turned around to face Yelena, starting to apologize for everything you might've done wrong.
Yelena just shushed you, grabbing your face in between her hands as she told you it was okay. She grabbed the bags of candy from you and put them in her cart, turning back to you and giving you a hug. “It's okay, you did nothing wrong.”
You didn't even realize you were crying until Yelena wiped the tears away and smiled softly at you.
“Let's go home, yeah?”
Yelena paid for the groceries and you walked back to the car. It was already late, and the sun was starting to set. Yelena got you situated in the passenger seat, giving you a blanket she kept in the back while you hugged your new bunny close.
-------------------------------------------------------------
When the car came to a stop again, you were already fast asleep, snoring slightly while you kept the bunny clutched to your chest.
Yelena couldn't help but coo at how cute you looked. She saw Natasha standing in the doorway. She figured Natasha opened the door when she heard the car come back.
Yelena got out of the car, walking to Natasha and giving her a hug. “She's okay, sestra. She'll love you easier now,” Yelena said as Natasha walked to the car, opening your door. She leaned forwards and gently picked you up. You stirred a little before you settled into her arms, snuggling closer to her chest.
Natasha smiled at your actions, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead before she walked into the house, walking upstairs and placing you in your bed.
She gave you another kiss on your forehead, tugging you in. “Goodnight my precious princess,” she said before she walked to the door, leaving your room.
Maybe Natasha really wasn't that bad…

“Why do I have to do that?” Y/N groans, stomping her foot to the ground. “That’s not my job.”
Wanda sighs, rubbing her forehead, while Natasha gives her a look. “That’s how housework goes, you have to pitch in, and I mean in more ways that cleaning your room.” Wanda explains, her patience growing thinner every moment Y/N fights against her.
“But that’s not fair!” She whines. “I clean my room and go to school, those are my jobs.”
Biting the inside of her cheek, Wanda takes a moment to compose herself. ”5…” The moment Wanda starts counting, Y/N frowns. This hasn’t been used on her since she was eight years old. “4…”
“That isn’t going to work on me anymore.” Rolling her eyes, Y/N crosses her hands over her chest. From Natasha’s point of view, she and Wanda look identical.
Not caring, Wanda continues staring Y/N down, waiting for her to back down. “3..”
Her lips turn into a line, holding the eye contact to the best of her ability. She doesn’t want to back down, she’s a teenager now, that means she’s supposed to push her parents’ boundaries for once.
One of Wanda’s brows raise. “Two…” There’s a pause, everything is quiet. Natasha is grinning silently. “O-“
“Fine!” Y/N takes her eyes off of Wanda’s. “Fine, I’m on it. Already doing it.” She groans and starts stomping up the stairs.
Wanda smiles. “Thank you, sweetheart.”
Chuckling quietly, Natasha steps closer to Wanda. “That was something. Kinda hot.” She smirks.
“Oh, shut it.” Wanda shakes her head with a laugh. “But it’s good to know my tricks still work.”

HI! I want to say that I love you writing a lot, It's so good💖.
I was wondering if you could write (is you don't want to it's fine) Natasha x Teen!daughter reader where reader goes on a mission with Steve, but she doesn't come back and everyone is doing everything to find her but it's like only a few days later that they find her injured. (you can choose what happened and where they find and rescue her) and can you do it as a reader insert (if you don't want to that's totally fine.)
Thank you :) keep up the good work!💜
Aw thank you!
I haven't posted in a while.
So Mama!Nat seems like a good reboot to start with.
Tumblr media
"Hey, mom."
"What the hell were you thinking." Natasha growls at Steve before glancing at you.
"I wasn't." Steve starts, "I was unconscious. Y/n saved us. Me, really."
"That I did." Y/n is laying uncomfortably in the grass, her leg propped up. "Barely."
"Steve, I told you to keep her in your sights."
"I did-"
"He was, Mom!"
"Y/n, this isn't your mess." She turned back to scold Steve, but Y/n wasn't having it.
"Not my mess. I'm the one who cleaned the whole damn thing up!" Steve mumbled something with his head down as Natasha turned back toward her daughter. "I dragged Steve out. I cleared the building, I got the hard drive, I was the one who contacted you! Steve was out cold up until 10 hours ago!" Wishing she could stomp away right about now, Y/n huffed and worked on moving herself to a better position. Natasha was silent, tapped her shoe on the ground. Steve walked away.
"Bruce!" He went looking for the little green man.
"I'm sorry."
"For-"
"For forgetting you're not my 8 year old babygirl, who accidentally lit fireworks in the Compound, anymore." She lowered herself to meet Y/n. "You're now," She pulled your chin back towards her "my brave, ambitious and amazing young woman." Taking a glance at your swollen knee, she whispers, "I'm so proud of you."
"I tripped an alarm." You began, "Steve was sitting out in the hall and I thought," Steve and Bruce's footsteps could be heard.
"I thought I was gonna be attacked!" Y/n voice totally changes, leaving Natasha suspicious and Steve told Bruce to listen in. "I mean he was coming for me, Steve," She gestured to him "out in the wall and they gotten me and silly unconscious Steve cornered, quite easily actually." Natasha stared at Y/n trying to get the whole story. She couldn't find a reason. "I had him in choke hold-" Steve threw his hand in the air and Bruce took Steve over to a makeshift table to look "I just tripped." Y/n looked down at her stupid swollen knee.
"What?"
"We weren't cornered, I only had to take down maybe 3 guys. Be that was way before this. I thought I could be cool and do a flip off the wall. Try to at least, I was feeling it and I tripped as I ran to the wall."
"Thank god." Natasha closes her eyes in thanks.
"What? That I fell? Thanks mom. Love you too."
"Young lady, we both know you would have needed stitches if you tried that." Y/n huffed feeling defenseless.
"Whatever."
"So you tried to tell Steve a cooler story." She cocked an eyebrow.
"Tried? I did tell him a way cooler story. Now he thinks more of me! Goal Accomplished!" Y/n smiled, pumping a fist in the air.
"Oh. my. god. Your gonna have to tell him."
"Mom, no." You dreaded this.
"Y/n, yes!" She booped your nose. "You tell him or I do!" She said in a sing song voice. Y/n groans and stands with Natasha's help, wobbling back to the Quin jet.
"I hate Steve sometimes you know that. Why can't he just be oblivious? Mom pleeasse!"
"Okay baby, I'll tell him."
"No no. I will fine fine, you've convinced me. You're so mean." Y/n and Natasha continued to hobble along on the grass.
"Love you too." Natasha waves Steve and Bruce back and they all ride home together.
