In which Charles is a terrible wingman and Edwin fucks. I love fic where Edwin explores his sexuality and gets to be confident and sexy and Charles gets hit with the old Feelings Realization and this one pulls it off so well!

I absolutely love the language of flowers and, honestly, decoding messages through flower arrangements seems right up Edwin's alley. Plus he deserves nice things! This fic is super sweet, the floracle is amazing and I really like how Charles' knowledge/ intelligence and general thoughtfulness get to shine here.

Beowulf AU! Charles is hired to kill a horrible monster. I loved this historical/fantasy setting and the little snippets of mythology. The blend of Charles-typical speech patterns, modern slang and Old English was especially fun. The Author's Note also has some really interesting background info and has finally persuaded me to actually read Beowulf.

Its the love and grief that makes me whole by eunoise

One of Charles' killers comes to the agency for help after he himself is murdered. Apart from the deliciously dramatic irony of that premise, I enjoyed Charles (somewhat) processing his trauma and the client trying to (finally) do right by Charles. It's also set in the Codependency World Cup Extended Universe so Charles fraught relationship with his ex-bestie/crush Mark also gets spotlighted. Recommended!

Very cute fic about Edwin coming to understand his physical feelings for Charles. I loved the luna moths/butterflies imagery and Edwin being very Edwin about being in love. Just lovely characterisation all round.

It's part of a series also featuring Kiss Me & Repaint Me featuring Charles going all out on "fripperies" to make sure Edwin get the first time he deserves. Lovely.

This time I’ve put together some stories about discovering one’s own queer identity, outlining a family history of queerness, and several stories where being queer isn’t the focus - queer characters are simply allowed to be.

So i saw somebody make art of Starscream as a moth and something was awoken inside of me. I present Hollow Knight X Transformers BUGFORMERS!!!! (Or Hollowformers???) Sorry for the shitty sketches, i'll translate my handwriting lmao

Starscream: A Red-Underwing Moth I decided to make all the seekers different moths, have fun with that Megatron: A Black Stag Beetle His armor can be removed, I'll draw it eventually, but under his helmet are small (very sensitive!!!) antennae!!!

Optimus: A Rain Beetle I wanted to make him a dung beetle at first, cause I love the shape of scarab-like beetles but I wanted Bulkhead to be a dung beetle, so I picked my personal favorite type of beetle, the Rain Beetle! Bumblebee: A Bumble bee I think this is obvious.

Arcee: A Blue Dasher Dragonfly She's small, fierce, and fast. I knew a Dragonfly would fit her. Bulkhead: A Rainbow Dung Beetle Bulkhead is a strong, bulky guy, so a strong bulky bug fits him. But I didn't want him to be a plain dung beetle, so I went with the more beautiful, and intimidating type of dung beetle! And its sort of an iridescent green, like our bulky boi. (He also has a second pair of arms he keeps tucked between his armor plating for his safety, but he uses 'em when he needs extra leverage)

Ratchet: A Man-Faced Bug My friend insisted he'd be this kind of bug, and after looking it up, I agree. You can see his face in this bug and I love it. The runner up was a ladybug if you want to do anything with that. Drift: An Idolo mantis I wanted Drift to keep his sort of "intimidating with dexterity" vibes but add a bit more beauty to give that sweetness to his design you see in his character. An Idolo Mantis is that lovely mix of floral beauty and intimidating that I thought would fit perfectly for Drift.

Cyclonus: Spiky Flower Mantis Same deal with Cyclonus but more intimidating. I wanted him to look scary and powerful, but beautiful in an intimidating way, like how he is in the comics. Tailgate: Pill bug (Isopod) Round, sweet, adorable, and one of my favorite bugs. Very useful for the environment and durable, as well as huggable. I think it fits Tailgate pretty well.

Do you guys remember in the Alastor comic where, it's never really explained why, but Alastor reached for a rose and it wilted before he touched it. We aren't really sure how, but all Sinners seem to have some sort of actual punishment or draw back to living "downstairs" because technically otherwise you're just, running around the same as being alive

And then you have this line from Loser Baby

Is Valentino's punishment in Hell that his eyes are too bad for him to create art? Or is it symbolic of something that happened when he was alive? Is it just a "ha ha funny moth" joke?

Most of the background characters are borrowed from different works, both other danmei and Japanese/European/American origin. However, there will be some OCs as well:

Ling Shumei from 'God's Tears' makes a re-appearance and this time two of my oldest OCs are joining her. Alex, as a moth demon and court healer, and Loki, as a European devil/vampire and another one of Qinghua's assistants.

I'm working on chapter 3 now, and there is so much more left to be done! The comic was planned for 17 chapters - it's 16 now since I will be merging chapters 4 and 5 into one.

I know it will be a long wait but I hope it will be worth it. I am having so much fun working on this project! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

I snuck in a late spring hike in Cheat River Canyon yesterday, before the dreaded heat dome builds in early next week. Between Brazil's Pantanal going up in flames and the massive heat spikes in North America and elsewhere, I wonder what will be left of this planet's beautiful wild places in twenty to thirty years. For now, I celebrate and cherish every day the glorious diversity of living things that nature has gifted us. This includes the magnificent poke milkweed (Asclepias exaltata), a shade tolerant member of the dogbane family, which feeds and hosts a great many of those living things, such as the extraordinary Himmelman's plume moth (Geina tenuidactylus). Or the comical-looking rock harlequin (Corydalis sempervirens), which clings to the rocky outcrops of the canyon. And the exquisite downy skullcap (Scutellaria incana), a gregarious summer mint that associates with wild bergamot and tall thimbleweed at forest edges. And how about the peculiar dangling flowers of Indian cucumber (Medeola virginiana) or the pale, ghostly stems and bracts of the parasitic Indian pipe (Monotropa uniflora), just now emerging from the forest floor? In a couple of weeks, the rhododendron bloom will start in the canyon and summer will be in full swing.

Doesn't really like adventure and would rather be by themselves, but gets always dragged into things. He can flutter his wings, but only for a short bit of time. He gets tired easily and acts like he doesn't care about others when he kinda does. Seems suspicious of Kaida, what could they be hiding? New AU?

I started to watch Ojamajo Doremi, and I loved it! For that reason I started to relate it with MLB. For that reason... I started to make this AU

Plot

It'll be like both of the original series, but with more corny and dramatic stuff.

Also, it's gonna be a Chloenette fanfic (yeah, love that ship on fanmade content), but with secondary ships like Adrinette, Lukanette and Alyno.

How will the AU be if I make it?

I'll do it as a fanfiction with some illustrations. Also, first I'll post it in spanish, but in the future it will bring it in english.

Characters

Let's talk about the characters

Marinette Dupain-Cheng

She is 12 years old, and it's always in love with someone. Also she is clueless, clumsy and childish.

Wants to be a fashion designer and loves to draw, candies and cakes, especially chocolate with strawberries.

She hates school, maths, arguing and she hates Chloe.

Mari is the chosen one to be the Ladybug miraculous holder after noticing Marianne Lenoir, a painter she watched at a shop on the weekend, is a witch.

Adrien Agreste

He is 12 years old, and is shy, sensitive, intelligent and empathetic. He is in love with Marinette, but she is his best friend, so he doesn't say that much. Also he likes to read, cook and cats. Good for him, he is the Cat Miraculous holder. How? Because he and Alya noticed Marinette being a Miraculous Apprentice.

But he hates Chloe because of an argument after their break up (first experience with love, and both being preteens) and her attitude at life. Also he hates being a model and his father, that's because he obligated his son to be a model and also "doesn't love him". Lastly, he is bad at sports. Even soccer.

Alya Cesaire

She is 13. Totally nerd, creative, stubborn and analytic. She is a superheros stan, specially Ladybug and Sparrow. She loves magic, writing and journalism. But hates doing chores, school, crafts and Chloe, she bullies her too.

She is the Fox Miraculous Holder.

Nino Lahiffe

He is 12, he is sociable, cheerful, fraternal and cool. He loves to make new fellas, cinema (at the point of being a cinema director in the future), comics and anime. Also, he loves Alya, but ironically he is too shy to tell her.

He hates vegetables, adults, school and sometimes his little brother. He is upset with himself because of that.

He is gonna be the Turtle Miraculous Holder.

Chloe Bourgeois

She is 13 years old. The mean girl. She is wrathful, apatic, presumptuous and dependent.

She loves money, plushies and her parents and butler, Jean Luc. Who is like a father for her (even Fu is more like a father, but she doesn't tell it).

She does hate Marinette because she likes her, but because of her bad situation with her family and her lack of self awareness and love, she often bullies Mari. Also for that rancor she hates Adrien, she wanted to be her girlfriend, but he didn't want it, they argued and at this day, they didn't want to talk again. Often she hates school and her classmates (except Sabrina and her teacher, Miss Bustier), where she is compared again with Mari, Alya or every good classmate, thing what she hates a lot.

She is the Bee Miraculous Holder. Often she is the hated one by her witch apprentice fellas, but at least she has a kwami like Pollen and mentors like Master Fu and Miss Lenoir.

Wang Fu and Marianne Lenoir

He is 186, her wife too. He is the guardian of the miraculous, but also he is a wise mentor and a sorcerer. She is a witch too, but remains hidden as a famous painter, unlike her husband, who is the owner of a chinese shop.

He and She love their apprentices. But he loves chess, reading and writing. She loves flowers, perfumes and painting. Although both hate Hawk Moth. He hates sleeping, tea and crying. She hates ants, cold weather and storms.

Both are like a father and a mother for their apprentices, and both want to discover the rest of the miraculouses before Hawk Moth finds it.

My posts

Good news: We haven’t had a third Trespasser Incident. Bad news: There was a fuckin’ coyote staring my dog down from the driveway across the street last night. I won’t lie to you, there have been aggressive coyotes spotted in people’s yards around here, but not in my neighborhood before this, and also, I live in THE SUBURBS. 

Worse news: I had a migraine so bad that I was hungover for two days. In fact, I’m having a hard time thinking straight even now. Apparently a ton of people had migraines around the middle of last week? I have no idea. 

Meanwhile, I will be in the dentist’s chair for a few hours tomorrow. For half of that I’ll be staring at the ceiling waiting for the dentist to come back from some mysterious task, except that I won’t because I’ll be glued to the Hot Vintage Lady Polls: Round 2, starting tomorrow (3/25). Currently going: The Shadow Bracket, to see which fortunate souls get to escape. (I have filed this under “My posts,” but these are not my posts at all; they’re simply the reblogs I’m going to inflict on you, every single one.)

The point of my addition here is that there’s a wider culture war in the U.S., it’s all connected, and the KOSA bill is merely the online expression of that.
