there is having preferences, sure, there is expressing love for certain character types, including their race and gender, but when you start saying "for a [race/gender]" maybe take a step back and interrogate why that is? whether you'd say that to someone irl (i should hope not!!) or about characters in their fanart or such? and definitely don't say it where they can see it?? if this has awakened a newfound appreciation for femroes within you, op, that's great, but maybe think about why that might be such a revelation, and try not to express such shock to their face next time.

sad news for Ukagaka archival efforts Σ´ω｀）

all my archive.org uploads have suddenly been deleted following the data breach that was reported around 5-7 hours ago because I changed my login details, I'll try to re-upload the difficult to track down Ukagaka ghosts I documented and my Ukagaka related CD/floppy-disk rips somewhere and I'm going to try to learn how to host stuff myself (neocities is too expensive to keep paying for extra space on) but just wanted to warn my followers that if you change your archive.org email all of your uploads will be erased, to reset any passwords that are the same as your archive.org login. always remember to back up your work on Ukagaka ghosts and progress to a local drive or hard-drive!! right now a lot of the documentation on how to create your own ghost and the history of Ukagaka is lost but hopefully it'll be back soon

Going to be so incredibly real with everyone and say that To Hate And To Hold was absolutely always going to be a one shot. It's meant to be a one shot. It IS a one shot. I'm not going to think about continuing it, because I don't want to. I have a variety of reasons for this that I think (frankly) a lot of you actually agree with considering things you've said about Nights (and that i'm happy to elaborate on, actually!). This is not directed at anyone I have on here because I know all of your AO3 users and you were all lovely, but some other people asked for "more" in a way I really did not appreciate, and in a way that actively deterred me from writing more! I love this fic how it is, and also...it's 21k. Do you know how insane it is to share something with people that's twenty one thousand words long, and immediately be asked for more? I'm extremely proud of this fic the way it is, and I'm very happy that the people who read it loved it, but it's staying the size it is.
