Hey reptile community, I need YOUR help!
Hello Reptiblr,
I am creating a searchable database of all reptile morphs that have some type of medical issue associated with them. Birth defects, an increased rate of a specific issue happening, neurological problems, skeletal deformities; you name it and I want to document it. The problem is; the reptile community is very decentralized and information is hard to find. This is especially true for newer/less well known morph projects and morphs that are not stateside.
Right now: I have already got the more common issues like the base spider ball python, enigma morph leopard gecko, lemon frost leopard gecko, and sunkissed corn snake. Cinnamon ball python and super black pastel have also been documented. i have also managed to track down some lesser known combos like the Lichen leopard gecko (contains the enigma morph) and Meteor (also contains enigma) but there is still a LOT more ground to cover.
i have been combing through forums and morphmarket but I still need your help.
if you have a picture of:
An abyss morph (not Abyssian) leopard gecko
A Smaug Morph leopard gecko
please reblog this post or shoot me an ask with the picture.
And if anyone knows:
problematic frog morphs (any species)
Problematic burmese, reticulated, or carpet python morphs
Problematic axolotl morphs involving grafting (or genetic issues)
Problematic corn snake morphs
problematic gecko morphs (any species)
lesser-known morph combos containing the enigma, lemon frost, or spider morph
Please reblog this post or shoot me an ask with the name of the morph, a description of the issues the morph has, and a link to a picture.
i am going to continue forum deep-diving but any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am actively doing paid, custom commissions again!
Years ago, I offered paid commissions - people would contact me with an idea, and I would write stories or make photosets based on that idea.
Most of you have never seen a commission of mine. Because they're usually very personal (sometimes even involving photos of real people), I delete everything the second after confirming they received it. Only the person who commissioned the work has it, unless they tell me otherwise.
I never had a TON of clients, but the ones I DID have tended to come back multiple times. Things are bad financially, and I have started that again.
I currently have three of my old clients, two of whom have an ongoing series with me. Like before, payment is done via PayPal, and my rate is $10 per morph / caption, unchanged from 2019. Unlike many captioners, I actually make my captions PART of the image, which does take more time, but I believe it's worth it.
And most importantly, I will protect your privacy. Those who know me know that I have been around a very, very long time. I do the job, and then I erase what I've made. If I couldn't be trusted, believe me, word would get around and you'd know, just like you know about certain unethical 'tists here. You know the ones I'm talking about.
***
If you are interested, contact me and let's talk about what you have in mind!

I actually got a bit fired up about python morphs and now have a strong desire to share some videos about ball pythons in no particular order. Hope it will be helpful and/or entertaining!
1) "21 Ball Python Morphs with Problems!" from a ball python breeder Chris Hardwick. [posted 19.02.2020]
youtube
It is a video from a breeder standpoint, so some morphs he lists have problems with breeding but not, well, being a snake (desert ball python, for example).
2) "WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING A BALL PYTHON (And where to look)" by Jossers Jungle [posted 15.07.2017]
youtube
General tips of getting a snake from an afab snake enthusiast
3) "Should You Get a Baby or Adult Ball Python?" by GoHerping [posted
youtube
An important question to consider. The owner of the channel is not a breeder, but had/has a reptile rehabilitation place "Emerald scales".
4) "Ball Python, The Best Pet Reptile?" from Clint Reptiles [posted 08.09.2017]
youtube
Ball python rating from snake enthusiast and herpetologist from Utah.
5) "How to Care for Ball Pythons!" by Snake Discovery [posted 11.09.2018]
youtube
Helpful video by snake rehabilitator and breeder. I think she is one of the best snake keepers on YouTube. Definitely recommend to check the whole channel out!
6) "Lethal Ball Python Combos Part 1" by Raphy Martinez [posted 18.04.2011]
youtube
This one... More niche than others, but might be interesting to watch and definitely something I don't want to be lost. The most talkative guy here is Kevin from NERD, considered somewhat of an expert. He appears at New England Reptiles channel, check it out )
7) "PICK THE BEST PET SNAKE - SNAKE CARE GUIDE" by New England Reptiles [posted 25.04.2019]
youtube
The man himself. The legend.

What is your battle morph, flying morph and most used morph if you don't have a one month stipulation?
I think that without the one month stipulation, none of those change. The first time I "worked" at a zoo I was a student and was specifically not allowed to be in the same space as some of the really interesting animals. Except, I guess, a Turkey Vulture (very cool), and a Seriema. And bats.
I guess when I was in college I did (very minimal) volunteering with a raptor rescue that would have given me access to a ferruginous hawk, which would be a killer bird of prey morph.
For the record, to have it in writing and not in the tags:
Battle morph: Lion, tiger, African wild dog, Nile croc. Lion is most likely, for practicality. Nile croc is what I'd want to pick for the novelty and fun.
Bird of Prey: Steller's sea eagle, red tailed hawk, great horned owl, and as of this question turkey vulture and ferruginous hawk.
Common/spy?: Dogs, stick bugs, house cats, corn snakes, etc. I'd probably prefer snakes for spying. As of this, I could also add some fun lizards and rodents, including hamsters and rats/mice.
Importantly, my zoo is noticably short on aquatics, so my options there in the last month are like, maybe penguins, otters, or the croc. But if it opens up to longer than a month, I have rays and small sharks, as well as some weird tropical freshwater fish. At one point at my first zoo, I could even have maybe acquired an arapaima.
